Australian singer and songwriter Simon Bonney is possessed of a deep, sonorous baritone instrument that suggests its place in a lineage from Johnny Cash and Jim Morrison to fellow Australian Nick Cave. It is at once urgent and mournful, pastoral and prophetic.
