Bangor, PA-based Sound the Alarm (originally named Sleepwell) got together in 2000 around singer Cody Jancovic, guitarist Brian Chiusano, bassist Colin Ellis, and drummer Rick Stephans. The emo-rock outfit initially just played cover songs around the tri-state area, but eventually switched over to writing originals, much to the quick embracement of local fans.
