Channeling the yearning emo sounds of Into It. Over It, Dashboard Confessional, and Death Cab for Cutie, Speak Low If You Speak Love is the solo project of Ryan Scott Graham. Also the bassist in New York pop-punk outfit State Champs, the Michigan-bred Graham actually began work on SLIYSL before that band even released its 2013 debut. After issuing his debut EP, Sad to Say, in 2012, Graham released a split EP with Florida band Northbound (NB/SLIYSL) and an independently released LP, Everything But What You Need, in 2013.
