Spyglass

Spyglass is a five-piece outfit originating from the Seattle underground music scene. The dark, lounge-like, almost gothic vocals of Barbara Trentalange are backed by the rock-solid rhythm moves of Barry Shaw (drums) and Clay Martin (bass). Twin guitars via David Einmo and John Roth are for the most part used as textural devices. With a string of effect pedals measuring six feet in length each, this guitar team churns out floating and ethereal minor-key tones. Trentalange's keyboards fill out the sound.
