Steve Davislim

Biography

Steve Davislim was an Australian tenor who emerged as an international singer in the 1990s. Later, based in Vienna, he was active throughout Europe and North America and regularly returned to perform in Australia. He enjoyed a long and fruitful musical relationship with conductor Simone Young, who accompanied him on piano on a recording of Britten's Folksong Arrangements. In 2024, Davislim was heard on a recording of Michael Hersch's opera Poppaea. Davislim was born Steven Lim in Penang, Malaysia, in 1967.
