Copenhagen, Denmark's Jakob Skott debuted his heavily processed dream pop productions as Syntaks in 2001, when the MP3 label DataMusik issued a three-track recording. The following year, Skott and frequent collaborators Jonas Munk (aka Manual) and Jess Kahr released the post-rock/IDM hybrid Orion, as Limp, on the Morr Music label.
