French trio Tapeworms play an imaginative blend of electronic-tinged indie pop, influenced by shoegaze, grunge, J-pop, and video game music. Their 2020 full-length Funtastic is aptly titled, but beneath the twisted electronic textures, bright melodies, and hazy guitars, the lyrics touch on doubt, uncertainty, and heartache.
