Biography
A spinoff of Tenebrous Liar, Tenebrous Mitchell is another doomy lo-fi solo project by music photographer Steve Gullick. In 2006, Gullick offered up his vocal duties to Scottish poet Gerri Mitchell before titling the collaboration Tenebrous Mitchell. With the new frontman wearily reading passages over some of the group's most ominous instrumentation, the result made for a skin-crawling record, Havering, released in March 2007, an album capable of making the dreary lo-fi sounds of Smog or Leonard Cohen seem remarkably tame in comparison. ~ Jason Lymangrover
