Even though the Beakers only managed to last for 12 months (January 1980 to January 1981), they earned a reputation respectable enough to earn testimonials from such legends as Gang of Four and Soundgarden. Formed in Seattle, members Mark H. Smith (vocals and guitar), George Romansic (drums), Frankie Sundsten (bass), and Jim Anderson (sax) would only release a number of regional compilation tracks and 7" singles before calling it a day.
