Errol Kemar Thompson, who operations under the moniker the Kemist, is a Jamaican DJ, artist, and producer with an ebullient, bass-heavy sound that combines earworm melodies with wry lyrics. The son of reggae royalty, the Kingston native's father is Errol Thompson, a well-known radio personality and musician, and his mother is roots reggae legend Marcia Griffiths.
