The Koreatown Oddity

Los Angeles-based rapper/producer Dominique Purdy creates bugged-out abstract hip-hop as the Koreatown Oddity. His raps alternate between fantasy narratives and pointed observations about daily life, often commenting on social issues. Purdy's tracks are deliberately lo-fi and trippy, and he releases almost all of his music, such as 5 Chuckles (2014) and Vivians (2015), recorded respectively with Ras G and Mndsgn, on cassette.
