The Mystic Tide

Obscure Long Island garage band the Mystic Tide were active for a short time between 1965 and 1967, quickly working up a small set of tunes that called on both raucous psychedelic distortion and thoughtful, moody melodicism akin to the Zombies or Them. The band released just five singles in their time, but bandleader Joe Docko re-released their full catalog along with unreleased material in the '90s, and many years later, the Numero Group reissued the band's full output once more in remastered form on the 2024 archival set Frustration.
