The retro-fitted sound of the National Honor Society dwells in a region of 1980s inspirations populated by moody post-punk, driving dance-rock, and lush dream pop. After introducing themselves with a 2017 EP and 2020's To All the Glory We Never Had, which were more rooted in Britpop and swirlier '90s influences, they amplified the adjacent '80s sounds on 2023's To All the Distance Between Us.
