The Shop Assistants

Scottish group Shop Assistants are one of the foundational bands of classic noise-filled indie pop. Part of the C-86 cassette released by NME in 1986, the band happily married the pounding rhythms and overdriven guitars of early punk with the majestic melodies of the girl group era.
