Playing punk rock that has pop hooks but isn't really pop-punk, Snooper are a band from Nashville whose scrappy, frantic style is fun and approachable, made by people who see no need to buff off their rough edges. Vocalist Blair Tramel mixes a bright sing-song delivery with edgy energy that undercuts any sweetness, while the rigid textures of the instrumentalists add a synth pop influence even when the arrangements are dominated by guitars (a sound doubtless reinforced by the fact they sometimes use a drum machine).
