The Story

Folk-pop duo the Story were comprised of singer/songwriters Jonatha Brooke and Jennifer Kimball, who first teamed up in 1981 while freshmen at Amherst College. Originally appearing under the name Jonatha & Jennifer, they performed regularly throughout the Boston area until graduation, at which time Brooke joined a dance company and Kimball joined a publishing firm. The occasional gig followed, however; in 1989, they finally recorded a demo, dubbed Over Oceans, and were quickly signed by the Green Linnet label.
