Michigan natives Rev. Thomas Vito Aiuto and his wife, Monique, fashion Brooklyn's Welcome Wagon's hybrid of contemporary folk, gospel, and indie pop. Emerging in 2008 with their Sufjan Stevens-produced debut, Welcome to the Welcome Wagon, the duo continued to refine their unique approach to gospel music on subsequent efforts, Light Up the Stairs (2017) and Esther (2022).
