This Town Needs Guns

Poking fun at their home city's low crime rate, Oxford, England math rockers This Town Needs Guns named their band on a whim in 2004. Based around guitarist/vocalist Stuart Smith and lead guitarist Tim Collis, the rhythm section rotated several times over the next several years, resulting in a band anchored by bassist Dan Adams and drummer Chris Collis by the time they recorded their 2008 debut, Animals.
