Biography
A popular and prolific DJ and producer, Berlin-based Thomas Gold became one of Europe's leading names in progressive house music. Born Frank Thomas Knebel-Janssen, Gold began playing keyboards when he was seven, and he purchased his first digital synthesizer when he was 15. He was soon using his makeshift studio to make club music, and he opted to make music his career. Gold began releasing progressive house records in 2006, dropping the collaborative Paintbootiqa EP on the Mauritius label with his cohort, DJ Björn Mandry, sharing the credit.
