Tim Sweeney

A champion of underground dance music, Tim Sweeney is known foremost as a DJ and the presenter of the long-running radio show Beats in Space. First transmitted on WNYU in 1999, when Sweeney was a freshman at New York University, Beats in Space became associated with emergent dance-punk and left-field house sounds advanced most notably by DFA Records.
