Japanese (as in three Americans living in Japan) alternative rock outfit TRE:S formed in 2008 around the talents of John Fotos, Nathan Alloy, and Sean McGee while attending Temple University's campus in Tokyo. The group's anthemic, guitar-driven blend of "New Years Day"/"I Will Follow"-era U2, Interpol-inspired post-rock and modern Brit-pop is sung in both English and Japanese. The band's debut EP, City of the Night, was released in February 2010. ~ James Christopher Monger
