Stefanie Drootin and Chris Senseney are Umm, an indie rock duo based in Los Angeles. Drootin cut her musical teeth playing bass and keyboards with Bright Eyes, She & Him, and the Good Life in the 2000s, before meeting up with Senseney and starting the band Big Harp. They released two Americana-informed albums for Saddle Creek in 2011 and 2013, before adding drummer Daniel Ocanto and changing their sound to something a little flashier, looser, and more rock-oriented.
