As the drummer for emo punk-pop band Coheed & Cambria, Joshua Eppard had longed for the opportunity to express himself lyrically, not through singing but rapping. Coheed's record label, Equal Vision, took a chance and offered him his own imprint to piece together the rap project that he had been concocting and fooling around with since his pre-teens, Weerd Science.
