Norway's White Void make no bones about rooting their sound in the gray areas between gritty '70s hard rock and angular new wave and post-punk, and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Their name is drawn from a concept by existentialist philosopher Albert Camus about the absence of direction in line, and underscores their sound as one that pursues not a single, logical direction, but several simultaneously. Anti, their debut album, was issued in 2021.
