William Winant

Percussionist William Winant has performed in all manner of avant- garde lineups. He's toured the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Japan, with such musicians as Cecil Taylor, Kronos Quartet, Thurston Moore, and Steve Reich. A founding member of the critically praised Abel-Steinberg-Winant Trio, Winant plays with the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, Anthony Braxton's Challenge Trio, and Room, a new music group with Larry Ochs of Rova and Chris Brown.
