Under his primary alias of Yagya, Aðalsteinn Guðmundsson produces ambient dub techno that varies in definition, mood, and structure, from vaporous soundscapes to songs verging on dream pop. The Icelandic artist started in the '90s with an assortment of mostly one-off pseudonyms and collaborative settings such as Sanasol. He introduced Yagya with the aptly titled Force Inc. recording Rhythm of Snow (2002), and reappeared later in the decade on the Sending Orbs label with the relatively crisp Will I Dream During the Process?
