Yukiko Haneda

A well-known Japanese pop vocalist, Yukiko Haneda initially garnered attention with her 1988 debut Beating Mess. She has continued to explore an eclectic mix of sounds including Latin tango, fado, and jazz, as on 2005's Air de Tango and 2012's Changes. Born in 1966 in Tokyo, Haneda became interested in singing at a young age. However, she graduated from the University of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo with a philosophy degree.
