Speaker 1 (00:44):
Bar?

Speaker 4 (00:44):
I just want to say I talked to this morning.

Speaker 5 (00:48):
It's Ricky. It's not Veto.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Veto is my guy? Who does it?

Speaker 5 (00:55):
Okay, Lorena.

Speaker 6 (00:57):
Just so you know, Ricky turns around a lot faster
than I throw beat on the bus.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
He said.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Vito was like, you wanted for tomorrow show, and I said, yes,
start it tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
So now you're blaming it on Vido.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Yes, I'm blaming it on Vito. He gave me a
two thumbs up.

Speaker 6 (01:11):
Bro, I'm telling you go with Ricky.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Vito.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
I hope you're listening, but I'm not in it anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
That's all on y'all.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I can't believe you're going to give up like that. Well,
I did not give up on anything. Welcome to d C.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah, hey, can ass this.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
I know we've got to get to something that Jonas
has prepared for us. But how was it listening to
Joe Douglas? Can I talk about just his insight being
general manager and how he sees the draft or how
he looks at the draft and the decisions being made.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Yeah, he's a pretty cool dude, man, super cool dude,
laid back, super knowledgeable. So it was it was nice,
you know, hanging out with him. He gave me some perspective.
I asked him about, you know, Matt and Ratings. I
asked him about Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
What do he say?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Uh, some of some of the Madden conversation is true.
Some of what the Judy deal. That's that that some
of it is true. I am not correct on my
thought process or assessment assumption on Aaron Rodgers waiting to

(02:29):
see what happens in the draft. Apparently, the way I
got it is Aaron Rodgers really is actually telling the
truth about addressing personal issues that he would like to
keep remaining private. He wanted to give the public explanation

(02:54):
or give give the the Jets explanation of it. But
he doesn't want to disclose whatever it is that he's
he's dealing with. But sounds significant. So I got that,
Uh what else did I get? I asked Joe and

(03:15):
and and Jay. Obviously Jay was contributing about the Aaron
Rodgers going in to why why did they handle it
that way? And they just said that Glenn Aaron Glenn
was I mean, he was committed to the idea that
he wanted to have a face to face, eye to

(03:37):
eye conversation with Aaron Rodgers to tell him, you know,
where he stood with the team and with the franchise
as the as the head coach. So that was what
I got from him. But listening to his breakdown and
and just you know, his account of what it's like
in the war room during during the draft and the

(04:00):
different things. I mean, he's a cool dude. Obviously I'm
a big Steve Khian fan too, But you know, they're
both big, they're both white, they're both ball headed with
with good beards, so they're my type of guys. And
obviously Steve is like, you know, he's the homie he's
from people.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Big, bold, white guys. You're type of guys.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Damn yeah, Mom, I like that.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
I feel safer around him.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
So Rogers didn't get so Roger Rogers didn't get Robert
Solid fired.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
You know, with would know you know, like, what's that called? What?
No he did it? Yeah he didn't. I was going
to say Doc Martin's, by the way, as long as
they not wear.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
No Doc Martin's withall, it's not higher learning.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah. Yeah, we don't want no remy action. We don't
need no more remies.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
So Aaron Rodgers exonerated on all charges.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Good. I'm not I didn't say that, but I'm just
saying what what he's been saying in the public about
him dealing with you know what the explanation he gave
on Pat mac the show apparently there it's it's there's
validity to it. This is what I'm saying. Yeah, so
there's that.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
That's what happens.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
And I didn't, you know, I didn't prode any deeper.
It sounds as though Jay knows what it is, but
I didn't want to ask, so I just left it alone.
You know, I'm not really into all of that, you know,
trying to get people's business. That's just never been my thing,
especially for the sake to be able to say somebody
told me I'm not into that. So it did sound

(05:31):
like it was it was serious.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Did Joe Douglas say, I think I heard him say
he had eleven players with a first round grade or
along those lines.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
Did say that, I try to tell y'all, man, like
they these drafts two picks, Which is funny, right, because hey,
how many players? How many players think they're going in
the first round, like sixty of them, not all of them,
but like like like sixty legitimately, like, no man agent
told me I'm going in the first round. Agent told me.

(06:00):
They told me man go in the first round? Even
should org he says, we didn't expect this. I mean
he thought he was going to go in the first round.
There's only so many first round grades. Obviously that varies
by team, right. Joe Douglas is just one man, but
he used to represent the New York Jets. And you
think about it, and you go, okay, eleven, that's the only

(06:22):
only a third and it's and it's one of the
reasons why I think these teams have to be so
careful about fit. You know that's a technical fit, whether
that's character fit, whether that's fit their their ability, and
how they can fit within what they have on their roster.
This was not one of those drafts, and you'd heard
this narrative a little bit too, of drafting for need

(06:44):
because they didn't feel like there's many first round talents
I could step in right away start and be that
for them. So if that's the case, you know, you're
trying to find guys you feel.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
I could develop into the player you hope they will be.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
And it's one of the reasons why I think you
saw some teams kind of maneuvering a little to get
certain guys or some of the decisions that were made
in the mid to late rounds of the draft. Sometimes
they don't make sense to other people out there, but
they probably do the teams that are making them, because
they're the ones that ultimately have to be very selective
with how they're going about deciding which guys can can

(07:17):
make their roster. At the first round pick, it's a
big financial commitment and they're spending that pick knowing that
ultimately they're going to be graded on that pick.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Yeah, that tight end from UH that tight end from
Michigan was not one of the eleven damn yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
But according to Ryan Poles, he uh he's from Idaho
and he's uh putted wired fencing up so that's why
he's got strong hands.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
According to Ryan Poles, like I said, that was one
of the first ones that stood out to me that
I was like, oh okay, not saying that it was
a reach, but I was like, wasn't how I saw
the tight end class. And then on top of that,
not where I would have gone anyway, Like as far
as positional value at that point, not where I would

(08:06):
have gone.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
But who are you guys, Like, who did you guys
come away with? Like positive? Like this was positive for
them so far.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
You know, I thought one of the players that got
in the first round that didn't get a ton of
talk because I talked about Josh Simmons yesterday who ended
up going, but thirty two was Donovan Jackson, who had
to play a bunch of rules for them a little
bit this year. He's a heck of a player. And
I don't know that like enough people. I mean, look,
I know Ohio State won the national championship, but at
times people didn't understand, Like, because all we heard about

(08:39):
those are wide receiver groups, right, you hear about some
of the different their their edge rushers j T. Twoey
Milau who didn't go in the first round.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Or Jack Sawyer.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
But like their offensive line man which had gotten a
lot of flak in recent years for lack of running
games at time and all that, they stepped up. Like
I thought they stepped up in a big way. But
I thought that Derek Harmon good player.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Don't be wrong.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
I think Pete might have mentioned this too. Originally played
at Michigan State than transferred to Oregon. He was a
guy that at twenty one to Pittsburgh. That was a
bit surprising, Like I know, it's again a need for them,
but that was one that was more surprised than me.
I was like, oh, all right, didn't know whe're going
that route.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
The Commanders taken Connery even after adding Laramie Tunseell this offseason.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
It's interesting.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Yeah, well, I mean because.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
They're beefing up that front man.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
I like, yeah, and also like who knows man if
Laramie Tunseel if he struggles, if he you know, he's
getting older, Like at least you've got you know, potential
depth there at the position, and that's I think that
the Laramie Tunsel addition was one of the sneakier moves
in the offseason. And they just feel like they're, you know,
they're they're putting piecing together a pretty good roster.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
So oh but who me For me?

Speaker 1 (09:53):
I thought Jahatt Campbell going thirty first in the first
round and knowing it's purely based upon his health, you know,
his health background is that is a crazy pickup for
for that already crazy defensive front that they have in Philly.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I thought they were desperate for talent in Philly, so
they really need an that's bruh.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
That's there's two guys that I think that are super
super high, way higher up on the draft board based
upon two different reasons. But you know, obviously I love defense,
and I do pay attention to the defense more than
I paid attention to anything else. But you know, Jahid
is one which I thought I didn't know if he'd

(10:40):
make it into the first round, and him going to
Philly is crazy and being at thirty one, and then Pierce,
you know, he fell he fell down, and obviously it
was because due to you know, things that they kind of,
you know, character wise, character issues came into question. I
don't really know what they are. I really don't know.

(11:02):
But James Pearce and Jalen Walker going to the Atlanta
Falcons all in the first round, I thought I thought
they won today. Personally, I thought Atlanta won today because
they were sorely lacking and deficient and pressuring quarterbacks this
year was a tremendous need that they were going to

(11:23):
have to try to figure out how to address. And
they they they got two. They didn't just get one,
they got they got two dogs in one round.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
So remember that they didn't even send any offensive staff
to the combine, right or I think the team that
sent only defensive staff to the combine kind of showed
their cards a.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Little bit early.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
But here's the deal.

Speaker 6 (11:45):
The first round's over, and we don't really care about
the first round anymore. What we care about is what's
gonna happen this weekend, and what's gonna happen in the
bottom ten.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
That's what I care about.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
This is this is the long shot. It's going to
pay off and line your pockets.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
So Brady gave his explosive top ten mock draft yesterday,
and so we decided to dust off something that was
done years ago. I've decided, why don't we go ahead
and do the not even close to being explosive mock draft.
It's the bottom ten of the twenty twenty five NFL draft,
and it starts now.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
And now it's time for Jonas Knox's Okay, nowhere close
to being explosive mock draft two.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
I thought you said, Brady, not.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
You, No, this is me baby. All right, we go.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
It's perfect, not top ten, it's definitely perfect for you
to do.

finishing with one hundred and twenty catches over thirteen hundred
yards and thirteen touchdowns. Efton Chisholm the third goes to
forty eight to the same.

Speaker 5 (13:31):

Speaker 1 (13:33):

Speaker 6 (13:34):

Arrington brady quinn jonas.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Knox with you here coming up and we'll call it fifteen.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Minutes from now here we're going to tell you about,
some of the odds some of, the bets gone wrong
including our OVER Unders for the nfl draft. In the
first round that'll be yours here fifteen minutes from now
the team that made a couple of moves last. Night
in the draft there was some speculation they might move
back into the first round if, their guy was available

(24:30):
and apparently. That Was The Case the New York giants
took abdul carter with the, number three pick overall and
then traded Back In, to select jackson dart which has
been there's been rumblings about that over the. Past couple
of days so he's the second quarterback to go. In
The First, round but brian daball the Head, coach of
the giants made Sure That people know jackson dart's not

(24:52):
going to be. The guy under center, When the season starts.

Speaker 9 (24:54):
Russell be our starter and that's how it'll be once
we get started. Here, in the spring look the process
of developing a. Quarterback is just that so we're going
to do everything we can to develop him. And bring him,
along and you know we have some good quarterbacks in the, room,
relative to playtime, experience some you know, medals on the,

(25:18):
wall if you will that have done a great job here.
These first four days it's, really early phase one but
the two of those guys that that we've added have
added a lot of value already.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
To the room in terms of.

Speaker 9 (25:31):
A leadership and communication and, it's been four days.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
So it's a long way to go with.

Speaker 9 (25:36):
Both of THOSE guys but again i want to Make,
this about about jackson. HIS night young player i think
he's got a good skill set and look forward to.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Developing.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
It with them now there Was A rapport from adam
Schefter who said the giants were trying to. Trade up
to one, they had made Calls, they had contacted Tennessee,
they liked cam ward but ultimately they end up with
their their, secondary option At Quarterback, which IS jackson Dart
who i know. Breer talked about yesterday there's Some Ties
there with charlie weiss and his. Son And all that

(26:07):
but jackson Dart Ends up in new york.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
And now he's got To Be. MENTORED by, RUSSELL wilson
i mean i.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
Think the Quick Reaction. Right is new york you could
make the case they won the first, round. Of, THE
draft right oh i mean You Get you get, abdul
carter at three who's arguably, the top overall prospect and
you trade back up into potentially get your. Quarterback of
the future so those. Are, two huge picks now the
interesting thing is if you look, at the Current Roster

(26:33):
you have Brian Burns. At cave on thibodeau so do
they keep both edge rushers knowing you've got a guy
who you're basically drafting to come in.

Speaker 5 (26:40):
And, be the guy.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Yes because one is still. On. His ROOKIE contract yeah so.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
I, mean logic Would Say, you keep abdual Carter You.

Speaker 6 (26:47):
Keep cave on Thibodeau You could use brian, burns as,
potential trade you know leverage to get back some draft
capital to get back into some.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Of this year's draft so he's under contract.

Speaker 6 (27:02):
And Maybe A, team like new england maybe there's some
other teams out, there who are saying we want to
wean to, get some edge help and we're willing to
give up a draft pick in Order To. Take, On
brian burns again i'm just. Throwing that out There this is,
anything i've heard. Of not Reporting Anything maybe it's kevon
thibodeau they want, To move on from but it'd be, Tough,
to think that hey you just draft this guy. Stilling
his rookie deal are you not excited about where he's

(27:25):
going or what? He's done so far you areader want
to move on And Replace. Them with abdill carter that'd.
Be kind of interesting but looking at what, THEY did
last night i think you'd have to say that there's
a Lot Of pressure On Joe, shane and brian dable
and they made some SELECTIONS last night that i think
not only are going to benefit this, organization in the future.

(27:46):
BUT have THE potential i don't i don't want to say,
to save their jobs but to get things going back.
In THE right direction and i think this organization has
put themselves in A tough, spot because, i Mean Quite
frankly drafting daniel jones where they did when they did
was maybe a bit of a reach when he was.

(28:07):
Drafting the first round things didn't go, when they had
him and instead of picking up his fifth year option
letting that, thing play itself out they then instead make
a big. Financial commitment to him they don't make a
long Term Financial, commitment to saquon barkley and then they
find themselves In this position watching saquon Go win a

(28:27):
super bowl with a division rival and Then Moving on
from daniel, jones and you know going to have to draft,
another first round quarterback trading. Up to do so so
they're trying to make good for what's been quite frankly
again point poor decision making maybe in the past or how.
It's not worked out but this is a big, time
OPPORTUNITY for them and I Think with, what brian dabeles

(28:50):
said his offense is one that he puts a lot of.
Onus on the quarterback so he, Needs someone who's experience
he needs someone who can handle all the different audibles
and things he asked you. To do within it and
there's going to Be Big. Adjustment for jackson dart he's,
going to, have to you know take his time to
learn and and really learn, from two you Know Great
mentors In Russell. Wilson and jameis winston both those guys

(29:11):
will be incredible for him to sit around watch, SEE how,
they prepare u seeah, they view the game. SEE how
they lead i mean you talked about the communication. Leadership
that you heard both those guys are gonna be huge
for his. Development in that department so this could be
a one of those cornerstone drafts that we look back on, one, day,
and go man uh they hit on both those players
in a change the. DIRECTION of this franchise i thought

(29:35):
it was Interesting They immediately named. Russell wilson, the starter
you know came. Out during the draft he's they announced,
him AS the starter which i thought is strategically makes sense, because,
you don't want uh you don't want any type of
mixed signals coming, out that you know at least, initially

(29:55):
that you know you want to Put That pressure on
jackson dart, That he's the starter like this means he's going.
To BE the starter so i thought that was interesting
if that, was. Their you know intentions as far as with,
WITH the, defensive lineman i mean. THEY'RE they're basically trying
i would assume they're going back to the BASICS of
what the dna And The Personality Of New york new.

(30:20):
York GIANTS football is so i don't think They get Rid.
OF burns or thibodeaux i. Think they keep going you
think about when They Were making, their super bowl runs
they were, loaded with pass rushers, loaded across the board
and even went into The Draft and got matthias kiwanuka
at one point to add to the already Bolstered Defensive

(30:42):
line with Mike strahan with Oc Yumanjora. THAT had, justin
tuck i Mean That's something that new.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
York has. Has been you know they make that a
staple of. What their DEFENSE is so don't i don't
look at it as they're trying to move on from
one and you just have to have two that. ARE
in the mix I think that they you can, never have,
too many you know edge, rushers on, your team for
one because now, the way defenses are you can move
them and utilize them in so many different ways like

(31:11):
you can make once one Of, those guys like burns
could END up, Being an x backer abdul could END
up being an x backer where they stand up and
they travel around and. Go IN different places so i
think that was more so probably just the organization looking
at it from the standpoint of this guy is a

(31:31):
player that can transform your. Team with his talent we
already got some guys. That are really good now you
start to stockpole people that can make. PLAYS for your
team i think, that THAT'S you know how, I would
you know i'm Certain That's probably how, new york's you
know their decision makers are viewing the defensive. Side Of
the ball.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Did abdul love the? Biggest chain last night. He was
up there.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
He had the grill. He's, THE only one, well i
don't know. He's the only one But he had real.
He didn't wear it he didn't. Wear he wore. Incredible
he wore incredible not he. Didn't wear the sticks i'm
sure the sticks. Wild get Broken Out? Did the stick
City He did the. STICK city.

Speaker 7 (32:13):
That.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Well i appreciate.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
IT it's a gift a.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Gift is a gift you don't get a gift and
tell a person, you gotta wear IT you. Know what
i mean so it's kind of.

Speaker 6 (32:23):
It's in his art so if you, give someone a,
gift you're telling him like, they don't wear it they don't.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Have.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
TO use it yeah i mean it's. Because of the gift,
it's it's you know it's the it's, the gift of
GIVING you, Know WHAT i, mean Like i did, but,
i'm just.

Speaker 5 (32:37):
Saying like let's apply it to like you.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Get.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Your wife something.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Yeah things she didn't, use from you know. Jewelry to

like a. Diamond encrusted, old mega she's like how much do.

Speaker 4 (32:57):

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Don't worry about it. She's never worn it. SHE'S never worn,
it i was, like you do know omegas, are pretty,
dope watches. YOU know that's okay i.

Speaker 6 (33:08):
Used to Go to the dollar store and, buy MY
mom earrings and i Did. IT like every, christmas i
don't know PROBABLY from the time i was five or
SIX till the time i was, like EIGHT or nine

would buy these like, ridiculously like fluorescent COLORED gigantic hearings,
because i don't, know you're a.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Kid, you.

Speaker 6 (33:27):
Think they're cool right my mom would always act so
appreciative And, so thankful Every christmas and then, i'd see
her like put, them in a drawer never.

Speaker 7 (33:37):
To.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Be. Worn.

Speaker 6 (33:38):
Again OUT yeah yeah and i used to ask her
all the time, and she'd, be like you know she.
You're ready, and, STUFF she go oh i need to go.
Put on, some, earrings, i'm like oh mom why don't
you put In the, kind, of he's.

Speaker 5 (33:56):

he'll wear it i'm sure. He's warning It already. He's
stick City Man he had roger. Goodell doing the sticks
you Know What he Did. Stick city handshake man. That
Was City bro how? ROGER goodell, know that, I mean
you know abdul. Is a brander bro, he's always into

(34:17):
Branding And. So IS roger goodell so i thought that
was really cool that. They did the handshake. That was,
pretty dope. So yeah he's fine i'm. SUPER proud of
him i TRY to keep because i have to do,
the coverage, of it you know and we got to
talk about it from. From a professional perspective try to
keep my. Emotions out Of it but if i'm having

(34:38):
just a, PERSONAL moment about it i think that. That's
super fricking cool man, Like. Having you know micah micah,
Was to, me like, i'm like? Man like does it
does it get? Any better, THAN this You know i knew.
Micah a long time michah was About To. GO to
ohio state, i, GOTTA tell y'all, like i, really like,

(35:00):
kind of you know work some magic there to like
really really talk him into the. Idea of. Being, ALONE
got paid.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Nah.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
I didn't get that i didn't. Do, Anything, Like that
no no. I'm nothing like, That, BUT three stacks nah
i didn't. Do anything, LIKE that but no i didn't.
Do anything like that but the thing about it is

(35:33):

twelfth so, i'm Like you know micas is when, He was, coming,
out i'm like man the dude ran a, crazy forty
you know he shows he he, tests off the market
like all his marks. Are off the. Charts dude is dope,
and he, Goes twelfth you know and it Is this kid,

(35:56):
That i'm, Like mentoring i'm, around I'M with him and i,
WAS sooner proud man i have, duel went number, three
and you know to have a direct impact on a
person's life and just be a part of their lives
and and. Just know, the journey you know kid is
a super, super Ridiculously, INTELLIGENT dude MAN like i don't

(36:16):
i don't really get too much, into TALKING about, guys,
But i mean man i've played him in chess multiple
multiple times and he's Beat me more. Than i've beaten
him and that's not that's. Not easy to do it's not.
Easy to beat, me. He's super smart dude, i'm number
three overall, super Proud. Of him man like it is
a very humbly.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
Moment to see it should still ask, For, that, chain, back.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
No. No no see that there's plenty more of, where
that comes FROM you. Know What I mean like stick,
city is a PLACE you. Know what i mean and if,
you're in the city you know you're you. Get gifts,
like that you know those. Things happen for you. That's part,
of it you know there will come a Time Where
