Speaker 4 (01:26):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox
with you. We're gonna take you all the way up
until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific here on
this Tuesday morning. We're going to catch up, by the way,
with Pete Prisco later on. We have got all sorts
of questions for him regarding grades and how he viewed
his mock draft afterwards. But Brandon Bean, the Buffalo Bills
(01:52):
GM was on the Jeremy and Joe Show yesterday in Buffalo,
and Brandon Bean heard some commentary about the criticism of
the Bills draft, in particular when it comes to the
wide receiver position, and had this to say.
Speaker 6 (02:08):
I was just listen to the last few minutes to
your show before I came home waiting on here. I
was like twenty eighteen all over.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
With you guysw so well. You guys were.
Speaker 6 (02:17):
Bitching in twenty eighteen about Josh Allen. You guys wanted
Josh Rosen, and now you guys are bitching that we
don't have a receiver. I don't get it, like we
just scor Hold on, let me talk. We just scored
thirty points in a row for eight straight games a
year ago. I get you guys asking why we didn't
have receivers, but I don't understand it.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Now.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
You just saw us lead the league in points. When
you add all the postseason, no one scored more points
than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions. You
just saw us do it without Stefan Diggs saying group,
How is this group not better than last year's group?
Our job is to score points and win games. Where
do we need to get better defense? We did that,
(02:57):
So I get it. You got to have a show.
We've got to have something to bitch. But bitching about
wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments I've heard.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Yeah, yeah, Mike Drop, that's old school sports radio right there.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah, let it fly.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Brand sounded like those guys are from backer Blitz.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Is that a reputable site? Is that a reputable.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
What was their called?
Speaker 4 (03:24):
It's the Jeremy and Joe Show. They're on in Buffalo
on a w g R in Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
I know, I d I'm kidding, but.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
You know, there has been some questions about their handling
of the wide receiver position.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I do like though, that.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Brandon Bean is so aware of the commentary and conversation
about that position that he took time to break it
all down and rip into those guys.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
And was well founded and what he had to say.
I mean, you know, but media.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Is media and fan media on these podcasts. I mean,
they they take they take strong positions on what they
feel and what they think. But you know, they're entitled
to their opinions, and that gives you know, guys like
being the opportunity to be able to respond that way.
I mean, they're not necessarily I mean wrong. But he
(04:17):
was just very very correct in what his response was.
I mean it was it was a perfect response to
what he heard them saying. So but fans fan podcast,
I mean they're being fanatics about what they're talking about
as it applies to their team. So I don't know
that's that's that's I think that's like a pretty simple, cut, dry,
(04:37):
dry and cut type of deal with that that scenario.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
I was actually gonna say, like, if it's not a
big deal or if it doesn't matter, then why get
sensitive about it, Like why feel they need to address
it in that way? Clearly it's a sore spot for him,
and I would actually take this angle at it. I
don't like when guys feel like they're not complacent. But
(05:03):
he points out the last year this eight games that
are thirty points and he actually there's like a longer
clip and well we scored more points than anyone, you know,
in the playoffs. It's like, well, yeah, if you played longer,
obviously you're going to score more points. But they're the
number two scoring offense last year in the regular season.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
That's great.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
That doesn't mean you're gonna be in this year. Like
everyone's trying to get better, and it almost feels like
they are a little bit, you know, hanging their hat
on what happened last year, not trying to find ways
of building more around Josh Allen this upcoming year. So
I actually didn't like what he had to say more
because of the fact that, like he didn't want to
(05:39):
address the fact that, you know, instead of looking forward,
he's looking back, and he's not providing more insight as
to like where they feel like they are good at
the wide receiver spot or why they feel like they're
good at the wide receiver spot. So I'm not saying
they need to like make change for change's sake, or
bring on a bunch of guys if they don't feel
like it's necessary, or over draft wide receivers if they
(06:01):
don't feel like.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
They're going to make the roster.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
But you also can put forth a plan er a
vision to help out the fan base, help out you know,
a radio show of the media, better understand, like, well,
what was your plan? Like what why do you feel
so confident about that just because you scored a bunch
of points last year. It was great, But that was
last year and that doesn't mean that you're gonna have
(06:24):
easy success this year.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
I mean him pointing to twenty eighteen and Josh Allen
as he.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Already had it in his head.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Well, yeah, this is how he deals with those those
two guys in particular. It's also a sign of exactly
where the organization's at, because I would argue, and it's
not so much most Valuable Player, even though he's voted
MVP and it probably should have gone to Lamar Jackson.
Lamar Jackson. There's Is there any quarterback that's more important
(06:54):
to their team than Josh Allen?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Yes? Who O Burrow?
Speaker 7 (06:58):
Lamar Jackson, maybe homes Hold on a second, you think
you think that there's a team in the NFL who
relies on their quarterback the run game, the pass game, everything.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Joe Burrow is not the starting quarterback for Cincinnati. They're
have a losing record.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Putting the same thing with Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
I think there's no team that relies on their quarterback
more than the Bills. He's their running attack.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
I'll see what you're saying, but just importance to the
team and being able to win. Patrick Mahomes is so
good that maybe he doesn't have to do all of
those things that you're saying, but the good that he
brings to the table is more than that type of
value to that team.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
The can't see tam. I mean, I think they would
all be screwed they didn't have their their quarterback.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Obviously, right, we can agree all those teams would be
screwed if they.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Didn't have them. Yeah, but I get what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Like if if Josh Allen, because he hasn't missed much
time and I think the only games he's missed have
been when maybe they're resting him in the final week
of the season. But if if he were to go down,
I just wonder if that would show like if that
would really show him. Man, you got a problem at
the wide receiver position. It's why there were so many
(08:15):
questions about, Man, are you sure you want to let
Stefan Diggs go like like like try and make that
work as much as you can. So yeah, to those
guys point. I mean, Brandon Bean didn't like the commentary,
but it's it's not totally unfair like And then he
went later in the interview, he was talking about, well
we've got Dalton Kincaid, you guys forgetting about Dalton Kincaid,
Like he really like you could tell that's something that
(08:37):
he's heard, and I think that he does realize could
be an issue if Keon Coleman and some of these
other guys don't produce this next year.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
I mean when did he get there. I don't know,
I don't recall.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
All I'll say is they clearly prioritize defense in this draft,
and they needed to. You know, they've lost key, key
parts to their defense. I mean von Miller is now
no longer there anymore. I mean they've needed to get
a little bit younger on the defense side. Twenty twenties
(09:11):
when Stefan Ding's got there. Yeah, that's and that's that's
quite a while. That's five years. So I just think
that their offense has done I mean it's done well
enough where I could say, based off of what we
have done this past season, even though we need to
look forward we have done well enough. Where did we
(09:35):
need to really really focus in on. I would say
they needed to have focused in on being able to
have a pass rusher for the eventual departure of von Miller.
I think that they needed to have coverage, and they
they they boasted their interior line if that's going, if
that's gonna work. They added edges and they added coverage.
(09:56):
So to me, I don't I don't have a problem
with the draft that they had. I think that they
became a better team. The potential, a super potential had
to become a better team off of the additions that
they brought in to be a part of that defense.
That's why I would think, I mean, because that is something.
I mean, the kid out of Kentucky is I mean,
obviously they think he's undersized, but he's he's a he's
(10:20):
an electrifying type of player. And to me, I mean,
I don't know that he's that far off from what
what is Travis Hunter way. I mean, Travis Hunter is
not a big dude. He's very dynamic and diverse and
what he's able to do, but he's not a very
big guy. And the kid being six foot point eighty
three I mean that's little. That's a little dude, but
(10:41):
his game is big. I liked him as a pickup.
You know, the kid, the edge rusher out of what
what is it? Out of Arkansas?
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Yeah? Out of Arkansas? Uh Landon Jackson.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
I mean, I think he's a he's a specimen of
a kid, and he he canvally be a game changer
for them off of the edge. He's a big body,
long body, does well in the past rush, but you
could also use him on the interior as well. I
think they I think they had a good draft. I
thought it was solid.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Do you think that Brandon being a sensitive though to
the to the criticism about.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
I mean, you know, you got to care about the
things that you're doing. I feel like that way it
came across as he was sensitive, touch, sensitive to what
they had to say. And I mean a lot of
people gave him flak for for letting Stephan Diggs go,
But I mean, think about it, Stephan Diggs isn't even
with the team they let him go.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
To damn, but he's back in the division. Okay, you
gotta be out there on the field to haunt him,
you know. By the way, do you guys think New
England could be kind of sneaky good next year based
on some of the additional.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
They've I don't know, man, I just to wait and
see for me. I think they might. I think they're
gonna finish second in that division next year. I'm gonna go,
I'm gonna go. What do you think about that? Bold take?
Speaker 4 (12:06):
I got the Patriots finishing ahead of the Dolphins and
the Jets next year.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Come on, man like that? Yeah, let me go ahead
and look it up. I'll go on DraftKings right now,
like you.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Really went out on a limb that It's not like
anyone's like, is anyone running away with the second place
spot in the.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
FCS that be? Yeah, let me get get some odds.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
I mean, I think Miami, Miami and the Bills, well,
some reports say that some veterans with the Dolphins are
kind of half Mike McDaniel, Yeah, that was one.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Of the reports. It was, h Yeah, the Patriots get
to Nike.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Patriots are plus four seventy five to win the division,
but they are second as far as the odds go.
That's as bold as it gets here on this show.
I tell you that right now, that's bold.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
What you're basing that off of the influence and impact
of of Rabel.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
That they've had a good offseason draft wise, they got
the best offensive lineman in the draft, Drake May having
another year under his belt. There's a lot of optimism there.
Henderson they got out of Ohio State, the running back
who by the way, they probably screwed the Bears over
(13:22):
big time on that because they were going to The
Bears were probably looking at taking Henderson in the second round.
The Patriots grabbed him before them. They got the best
center in the draft. Like it just feels like New
England's on the up, Like they've had a really good
off season.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
I mean, you're always You're always a good coach and
good personnel away from a chance. The question is is
does the relationship and I saw Craft and Varybelt at
the Celtics game together and they looked like they were
mucking it up pretty good. I mean, if Craft allows
(14:01):
Vrabel to be rabes, then there's a strong possibility that
he will get those He's the type of coach that
gets his guys to play for I will say that,
And that's a testament to who he is as a person,
what he was as a player. But also now that
translates to how he has been as a coach, and
(14:22):
so I wouldn't count him out. I wouldn't count this
team out. They do have the pieces to be able
to be a good team. But again, I think it
remains to be seen. You got to see if a
team that has struggled since losing the presence of Tom Brady,
you just got to see where they end up.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
Do you think when the Bills go to Miami to
play the Dolphins, do you think Robert Craft travels to
that game?
Speaker 6 (14:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Where is the probably best to stay away?
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Well, I think he does travel to that game, but
I think that he's very probably cognizant of the fact
that he's you know, in a place where where you know,
there's a lot of opportunities and a lot of temptation,
and he's just got to, you know, play it cool.
I mean, he's not married, he doesn't have to be
(15:11):
like a saint. Just don't break the law, that's all.
I'm looking up something here. Can you just stay on
the other side of the law, that's all. I mean,
that's you know, you're good. You go have as much
fun as you want to have. Just just be careful,
that's all. You just got to be careful out here,
especially in places like Miami. All right, so I'm showing, uh,
(15:31):
here we go. It's about a buck forty three to
get from a hard rock stadium to orchards of Asia.
So we're looking at it like, give or take about
seventy five miles from what I hear, it's worth the drive.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Come on, So I don't. I've asked them. I'm trying
to preview the AFC East. That place is still there?
You guys want to play grab ass?
Speaker 1 (15:53):
How would that place still be there if you got
I had a sting that that got people caught out,
like how's this still there?
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Favorite to nurse me? Now? I don't know. Maybe they
got like gardening, like how can you.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Still operate when something so high profile happened to your place?
It could be a flower store, Bobby Orchids. Hey, that's
one hundred percent of shirt. I don't understand why people
that play against the Patriots don't have on Bobby Orchids shirts.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
That's interesting.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox bench Bobby Orchids. That'll wrap up our coverage
and preview of the AFC East here in late April.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
By the way, we are brought to you by O'Reilly.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
You'll hear it next here on FSR.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. We do have
some news here, var want you chew on this courtesy
of Busting with the Boys. Oh gosh, George Kittle has
(17:36):
signed an extension with the forty nine Ers four years,
seventy six point four million dollars. That's just a shade
over nineteen million a year. That's forty million total guaranteed
thirty five million at signing five million more in two
thousand and twenty seven. And so George Kittle gets his
extension that makes him the NFL's highest paid tight end
(18:00):
and so.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
It all window is closing in san frame. Yeah, gotta
get paid, gotta get paid. So so now the they
got to.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Get that Super Bowl for closes.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Now the next big question is what happened to to
brock Party and how that all shakes out, because nineteen
is very different from the number that people are throwing
out there.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
For brock Party yearly. Yeah, so it'd be interesting to see.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
I mean, look, we kicked this around at the time,
and I know that you know it's not going to
probably happen. But they don't have to pay brock Party
this offseason, right, they don't have to. There is some
thought that because he showed up to OTAs and he
was a part of it, that they were getting close
(18:49):
to a deal. Well, I mean, technically you could just
let him play out this next year.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
And technically, I mean you got to think about where
what he came from, you know what you mean, he
came from being mister irrelevant. I don't know what you
was thinking what I meant, but he was mister irrelevant.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
And so.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
You don't move with the same type of entitlements that
top top draft picks may may move with. You have
a very very different perspective on things in terms of
what your appreciation level is and probably your anxiety level
(19:30):
as well. You know, so of course he's going to
be there, you know. I think that that would be unwise.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
One of the comments that was made was from Jed
York in the front office there, the owner of the
forty nine ers, who said, well, look, he's a top
ten quarterback in the NFL. When you say that, it
means you're going to pay him top ten money. And
top ten money is fifty million plus a year for
(20:01):
number ten. Yeah, well yeah, for top ten dollars at
the quarterback position. Yeah, he's gonna like that's that's a
significant amount. And I just I wonder if at some
point during these negotiations, and look, I hope he gets paid.
I think everybody deserves to get paid. I hope he
gets a big fat payday. He probably deserves it. From
(20:24):
a story standpoint, something to monitor, I would love to
see the forty nine ers say we're going to give
it another year, and if he goes out there and
plays the way that they believe that he could play,
maybe he's in line for a bigger deal next year.
But as it stands, you know they're talking about, hey,
we've got to make some adjustments. All of this is
because we've got to pay the quarterback. That's really a
(20:46):
priority obviously for where we're at and where the organization
is at. If that's the case, you don't have to
give him the big payday this offseason. You can pay
him the five million dollars in change hope that he
shows up. Hope, but there's cooperation there with an eye
towards the future, and maybe he goes out and he
lights it up and there's a bigger payday on the
back end. But this idea that you've got to get
(21:09):
the deal done with Rock Party, technically you don't have
to because he's got that five million dollars that they're
already going to be paying him this up upcoming year.
If you're not a believer after this past year, and
I think we would all agree, he probably had a
more down year than anybody expected, especially with the injuries
to McCaffrey and how banged up they were, and I
(21:29):
you going down. I just I wonder if there's some
people in San Francisco that are a little bit split
or torn on whether they should give them that big deal.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Well, they didn't work to get a quarterback. I mean,
they waited until what the fourth round I believe to
start drafting offensive players, and they didn't take a quarterback
until the seventh round. I think they took Rourke out
of Indiana. I don't think that they're placing a high
priority on thinking about a future without Rock Party, which
(21:59):
to me after the draft gives me indication that, you know,
we didn't hear any discussion points about Aaron Rodgers possibly
going to the forty nine. Ers at least didn't heat
up seventh round for Curtis Rock. Yeah, seventh round, right, correct.
But they didn't start taking offensive guys until I believe
(22:20):
the fourth round of the draft. They were loading up
on the defensive side of the ball, and they got
them like an Alden Smith type of player. With mikel
in the first round. I just I look at where
this team is right now, and I say everything it
points towards the idea that they are going to pay
brock Purdy. I wouldn't assume that it's going to happen
(22:44):
anytime in the near future. I do believe that it
will come later. I do believe that's what took place
with took place with Deebo Samuels when he got his deal,
and when Brandon Ayut got his deal. I believe it
happened and later. I could be wrong, I could be off,
but I just to know the magnitude of what this
(23:07):
deal is going to represent for the forty nine ers.
I doubt they're going to rush it to get it done.
So there's going to be a lot of speculation that
takes place. There's going to be a lot of I
guess interesting moments like you mentioned showing up to the facility.
Are you showing up with the idea and the understanding
(23:28):
that you're going to get a deal done. If the
deal doesn't get done within a certain amount of time
that you would like for it to do, how is
that handled? I think that I think that brock Purty
is going to have to be at peace with how
he handles the situation.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
I'm not trying to start anything here, Okay. I don't
want to start anything. I'm not trying to stir the pot.
I just want to point out, which means that's exactly
that you're doing.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
But I just want to.
Speaker 4 (23:54):
Point out just some some facts if we look back
on history. Right, So, there was a time where a
few years back, reportedly there was a near deal done
by the forty nine ers to bring in Aaron Rodgers,
that Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were going
(24:15):
to split, and there was thought that there was a
deal on the table that Rogers could be in San
Francisco with the forty nine ers.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
But that hasn't been the conversation this year. Well no,
I'm just but hear me out.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
So after that fell through, and some people have speculated
that it was the Packers who walked away from the
deal and the Niners thought they really did have something done.
The Niners got really aggressive and they traded away three
first round picks to move up in the draft, and
they took Trey Lance. The thought was, well, they took
(24:52):
Trey Lance because that was who John Lynch wanted, when
in reality, Kyle Shanahan wanted Mac Jones. This offseason they
signed Mac Jones, so he's there as the backup, and
I just wonder if Brock Purdy gets I don't want
I don't know if greedy's the right term, but if
(25:14):
maybe they really dig their feet in and say, we
want our new deal, we want our new deal. All
of a sudden, Kyle Shanahan starts working with the guy
that he wanted to draft a few years back, in
Mac Jones.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
We've seen what he's done with other quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
And maybe, uh, next thing, you know, it's return of
the Mac, and he might be slinging it for the
Niners at.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Some point this year.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
I mean, it's it's possible, but I just don't think that.
I don't think that they're in a great position. They're
not in a great position to do that. You know,
you're in a situation where you were six and eleven team,
(25:55):
you lost Deebo Samuels, you don't have Brandon ak back
as a yet. What is he going to be when
he gets back, When you get McCaffrey back, what do
you have in McCaffrey again, I think there are so
many questions, and I will continue to say this because
that's what it represents in my estimation, is that there
are so many questions surrounding this forty nine Ers team.
(26:20):
That to cripple yourself going into the season by saying
to your team, saying to your organization, and ultimately saying
to your fan base that we don't believe or buy
into our current quarterback and our quarterback situation. I think
makes the lack of a contract for Brock Party makes
(26:44):
it a mess a messy approach to going into the season. Now,
that doesn't mean that the season can't work out by
using a mac jones if it doesn't work out with
brock Party. But you got to keep in mind that,
you know, you don't necessarily have to be safe, either
as a GM or as a coach, and things can
(27:07):
turn at.
Speaker 4 (27:08):
The drop of a at the drop of a dime,
especially in San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Well, they don't care after a six win after but
generally that it doesn't care has come from probably I
would say more so from the GM right than rather
the coach. And so I'm saying the GM could be
you know, John Lynch could find himself on the hot seat,
(27:32):
Kyle Shanahan could ultimately find himself on the hot seat.
And while people have such high high regard for both
of those people in the jobs they've been able to do.
Sometimes things run their course. I mean, think about the
conversations that we've had about Mike Tomlin in the past.
Right Sometimes you just feel like maybe what you've done
may have ran its course. Where you're currently at, has
(27:55):
it run its course? Has has John Lynch seen better days?
Is it time for a change of scenery. It's a
big year for them, It's and that's why I don't
with all of the like, if there were less questions, right, like,
think about this, if Trent Williams is coming back healthy
and happy, If Christian McCaffrey is coming back healthy and happy, happy,
(28:21):
if Brandon Ayuka is coming back healthy and happy.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
And then you had the draft that you just had.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Where you stock up and you've loaded up a defense
that's only missing a few pieces. You lose green Law,
but he was out anyway, and so I think they
lost what their safety. I believe they lost somebody else
on their defense, but they stocked up on defense through
the draft.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Might have got a steal of a player later on
in the draft.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
I think they took a lineman out of Iowa later
on in the draft, maybe in the seventh round or
something to that effect. They're in position to be able
to put together what would be perceived as a decent season.
I mean, if you think about it, I don't know
that the Seattle Seahawks got any better. In fact, I
(29:09):
would lean towards the side of saying they didn't get better.
They might have got worse. Okay, they might take a
step back this year. I wouldn't favor them to win
the division. I think that's a bad bet. I look
at the Rams and I say the Rams, because of
their quarterback, are in the best position to be able
to win the NFC West. But after that, I mean,
(29:32):
what are you what are we talking about? I mean,
it's it's a crap shoot with Arizona, and it's a
crap shoot with Seattle, And for all the questions that
you have in San Francisco.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
It's a crap shoot for the forty nine ers.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
So basically, we're talking about a division where it's it's
a it's an open race to get number two. And
if for some strange reason, you know, the Rams crash
out and they don't continue to play at the level
that they played last year, keep in mind that's the
team that almost had they had Philadelphia in the ropes.
They played Philly better than anybody anybody did, So if
(30:07):
they don't crash out and do something that's uncharacteristic, which
I don't see a McVeigh led team doing that, then
everybody has a chance at that number two spot and
trying to get a wild card entry into the playoffs.
And that would be a tremendous win for the San
Francisco forty nine Ers this season.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
Yeah, it's going to be a big year in San Francisco.
But again, George Kittle now the highest paid congratulations in
the NFL and well deserved. It's a four year, seventy
six million dollar deal from the forty nine ers, so
he is locked up for the near future, and the
Niners will now try and get a deal done for
brock Party. There's also some conversation about Fred Warner trying
(30:48):
to get a deal done with him to extend him
as well to well deserved, because he's maybe the best
linebacker in the NFL. But we will keep you posting
on all things Niners related if there's any more deals
that come before the end of the show. It is

it out of the part of Jonas? Why'd we pick
this song? You know myself?
Speaker 4 (31:51):
My son said last night some song came on the
TV and my son's like, this song is brutal. You're right,
you are correct. Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.
Fox Sports Radio. By the way, for those listening on
the podcast, what terrible song are they missing out on?
Speaker 3 (32:10):
Loraina? What is this run Away Train? By? Who? I
don't know what's the name of this band?
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Again?
Speaker 3 (32:17):
It's from the nineties, isn't it? Definitely? Is this Soul Asylum? Yep?
Speaker 4 (32:26):
Well, that's an uplifting name of a band. Jesus. It
is a two pros and a cup of Joe. Fox

Speaker 3 (33:18):
So the Eagles went to the White House, not.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
The you know, the other white house Cowboys players. Now,
there was another white House that some of the Cowboys
players had back in the day.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Did they own that place or rent it? I don't
know what do they going on there? They had drugs,
women and alcohol and maybe other things that were not
privy to knowing about. But apparently they had a really
really good time and they bonded very well and was
winning championships. Maybe that's what they're missing these days. You
(33:52):
know they need another White House.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Well there is one, and.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
Current President Donald Trump, the President of the United States,
was there celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles. He also gave his
support for the Tush Push, said he'd like to see
the play stay, and then also gave a special shout
out to Levar's guy big.
Speaker 8 (34:17):
Dom, recognized the Eagles head of security. You now, this
is a guy they say he loves Trump. This is
a guy and I had give him a big, beautiful
hat last night because I've been hearing about this guy.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
He likes Trump.
Speaker 8 (34:32):
His name is Dominic Sandro big Dom, and.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
He's sort of a legend.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Come here, come here, say a few words.
Speaker 8 (34:44):
I hear this guy.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
Just come here.
Speaker 8 (34:47):
I just like to say thank you, We're honored to
be here. Thank you, President Trump.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
And that's it.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
No Burds.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Thank you, I thank Jach.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
Great so two Penn Staters about the president.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
I love that big dom all the way from State
College wearing Timberland's and sevent t shirts to the White
House all these years later.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Congrass my god, yeah the.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
Way did you see did you see Saquon Barkley getting
crap because he golfed with Trump? He golfed with him
and then like they went in a ride on Air
Force one and some people started bearing him on social
media and Saque's like, sorry, if I respect the President
of the United States. He's like, I also golfed with
Obama too. He's all, I just got in to the
(35:34):
White House. I'm so over. I'm so over this this culture.
I'm so over it. Bruh, I'm so over. It's so
played out. It really is like.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
People questioning if you black enough or if you bout it, Like,
I'm so over it, man, no you're not.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
I choose.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
It's so funny. I choose right, man, I don't. I
don't choose. I choose correct, I choose good.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
I don't. I don't choose sides. Like like it feels.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Like social media has truly created this culture where you
gotta pick sides.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Oh you have to, you know what I mean. Like,
it's just so crazy to me. No shades of gray, No.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
I don't care about even shades of grade. Like at
the end of the day, that's your gout, dang president.
Like the votes went in. Y'all voted, and if you
didn't vote, then sit your ass down somewhere. And if
you did vote, y'all voted, and it's him what you're
(36:41):
hating for. Like always got something to say that man
that listen here, Sakwon Barkley is a good dude period,
hands down.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
You want to bring your own little like.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Your own little thoughts and your beliefs and what he
me what so So, I guess Jalen Hurts didn't go
to the White House, correct.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
And I guess there was something that they claimed there
was a scheduling conflict. I don't I don't really care
what your reasoning for not going is. We don't have
to turn it. We don't always have to turn everything
into And it's so crazy because I'll catch as for
saying that, like you don't have to turn everything into a.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
This versus that it's okay, it's Okay, like I heard
Bud Crawford.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
Say not too long ago.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
I won't say what podcast he said it on either
just leave it alone.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
But he was like, it's interesting, we'll pivot away from that. Nope, nope,
way harder pivot. Oh, way, way harder pivot.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
By the way, you're on it today. You're sharp today. Okay,
you got that? Did you like that? He says in
the interview.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
It's where when you when I fight another black fighter,
we are everybody is is forced to choose sides. So
if I like Bud Crawford, I have to hate Aerospence.
If I like Aero Spence, I have to hate Bud Crawford,
he said. But when you get and I know you're
gonna love this, but when you get two Mexican fighters,
they celebrate both fighters. It's like a win for Mexican
(38:27):
Mexican culture. Like, when will we get to a point?
You know what people should be saying instead of giving
Sakuon crap for golfing with the president and flying on
Air Force one.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
How many times is your ass going to fly on
Air Force one? Yeah, I don't care. Listen, you invite
me to the White House, I'm going I want to go.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
Let me tell Let me tell you something.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
You should be celebrating the fact that us as a
people are elevating to a point.
Speaker 4 (38:55):
Of where we're flying on Air Force one, where we're
golfing with the president. Like what happened to just being
able to celebrate people's wins. Do you ever hear the
story about so when the Bears won the Super Bowl
in eighty six, they didn't get to go to the
(39:15):
White House because two days later the Challenger exploded. So
that's why when Jim McMahon was a backup on the
Packers and they won the super Bowl in ninety six,
like a decade later, when he finally got to go
to the Super Bowl, he wore his Bears jersey under
his jacket because those guys all wanted the opportunity to go.
(39:37):
And so when Obama, who was a Bears fan, invited
them to go to the Super Bowl. Man, you had
guys that didn't vote for Obama. They went because they
realized how special that was, and they didn't get to
go in real time.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
I think it's celebrating the person and the accomplishment. People
get so sad tracked on choosing sides like oh, it's
a Republican in office, don't go, Oh, it's a Democrat
in office.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Don't go like that's wackies.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
Yeah, you know exactly what I was about to say.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
Let's go to a break. Let's take a break, see
y'all next hour. Yeah,
