really cool over promised episode. We had a half hour
sit down with the One Minute Man KFC from Barstool Talk,
some baseball talk, some NFL just talk life at uh.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
He's a good dude.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
So KFC was on over Promise yesterday. Again, that's on
Fox Sports Radios YouTube page. But thank you for hanging
out with us live. So pumped for the weekend. Hope
you had a great Thursday night. I hope you enjoyed
the draft. Hope you had a better time than Shador Sanders,
because that's got a few weird Listen as he said,
that's not what we expected. And not what we came
here for. You know, I got this whole party room
(02:20):
for nothing. But yeah, I hope you that was better
than that. If you take a listen to Shador himself.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
We all didn't expect this, of course, but I feel
like we gods anything possible, everything possible. I don't feel
like this happened, you know, for no reason. All this
is is of course fuel to the fire, and under
no circumstance. We all know this going to happen, but
we understand we own the bigger and better things.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Tomorrow's the day. Yep, we're gonna be happy to regardless.
Give him there, give him fire.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
And here comes my song. Expect the unexpected, give him
that which he desires. Ooh yeah, uh should I say?
There's obviously one of the big surprises. We're gonna go
over the things that made us go hmm. But I
gotta give mascot's credit. Just this is this little quick
one off. This morning at my kids school, I volunteered
to be the mascot for the big assembly.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Of course you did. Why would I not? I was
doing the running man all the kids.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
You do know what the kids want, Danny g more
than anything, what do you think in twenty twenty five,
I feel like.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
You're already like a real life mascot Candy. They want
to be left alone.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Yeah, true, but all the kids are I won't Candy,
Dino Nuggets, they pens.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
These are all great answers like Craft, mac and Cheese,
Minecraft Movie. They all want you to do the gritty.
It's wild, Like.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
I'm in there.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
I'm doing the running man. I came out there addresses
the lion from my daughter's school. Every kid's like the
granny do it the gritty? Oh they all justin Jenny.
I had my daughter's friends tell me to do the
same thing. I said, no, you'd do it. You'll tell
me what to do you nose pick or get on
of my face. Well, I mean, unlike you, I don't
do what you tell me to do. You're five, beat it.
I'm a man of kids and people. So and also
(04:01):
I was in a costume, so I was like, sure,
so I was doing the gritty. I was acting a fool,
but uh hey, listen, these stupid things you could do
for your kids. They're only one, they're only young ones,
and they only think you're cool for so long. So
my message they would take these dumb opportunities. Guess what
I could check off my fool's bucket list.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Mascot, you were dressed as an octopus.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Big ass lion, Danny j I was lying, and we
tell you you could only breathe through the eyes. I
was thinking the whole time, like what if I pass
out and they're like, oh my god, the lion's dead.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
How appropriate? You're always lying?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
So not only that, I mean, if you really want
to give prompts to the mascots, it's not about you
doing the gritty and barely surviving because you couldn't breathe.
It's about that these mascots in today's game are super athletes.
The mascots in today's professional sports, for the most part,
can do amazing things, especially in the NBA. NBA mascots,
(04:59):
these guys are putting their lives at risk. I helped
their risk. They're doing things that the average fella cant.
Are you saying I wasn't doing flips into slim dunks.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
That's when I'm fin no.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
And I remember back in the day, I used to
know the guy that was Slide from the nets, Remember
the Fox from the Nets that mascot. I would hear
stories all the time about how much they put their
body through and how hard it is to actually get
that gig. You have to be a next level performer
and athlete to actually be a professional mascot on that level.
I totally forgot when you used to hang out with
(05:29):
Slide the mascot. That was your stage when you were
into like furries, right. I mean it was a weird
phase at all, but yeah, I used to roll it off. Fact,
I used to roll it all the mascots. Remember I
walked in one time and Cavino was like, get out
of here, Mike, and he was with Otto the Orange.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
It's very strange.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Do you remember the best mascot episode ever in the NBA.
I think it was twenty thirteen when Rocky was lowered
down from the rafters and he had a medical situation.
He collapsed and the Nugget girls, the dancer still danced
around him.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
In a circle, around his limp body, lifeless body.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
So shout out to all the mascots anyone that ever
did in a high school college. I feel like I
feel like I burned a thousand calories easy just bouncing
around and dancing in this suit. And it's so hot
and you can't breathe well, so hey, props again. And
I did have some missus Mett fantasies when I was
in that costume. He would a smell like him there
(06:24):
not bad, you know, I lucked out. The school got
a new mask mascot costume at the end of last year.
Because I can only imagine some of them are dank.
I heard they smell like hot farts. Is that of
many of them? Proud to wash those? I think to
go to send them to dry cleaning, and I don't
think you put that in the washing machine, New New.
So that was Rich's morning, if that was hard to follow.
He was the school mascot at his kids grade school
(06:47):
this morning for the morning the Friday morning assembly. Yeah,
and my daughter. People are asked, did your kids know?
I gave my daughter two hints. I said, assembly and handshake.
There's gonna be something funny like what So she won
an award and the mascot always high fives of kids,
but instead of a high five, I did our like
softball handshake, and she looked like, wait a minute, wait
(07:10):
a second, So let me ask you this since you're
talking about it, before we get into things you made
that made you go hmmm, NFL Draft edition, this was
your first time playing mascot for the kids. You think
you did a better job than other parents that were
previously the mascot. Is that what you're saying? I feel
like that's what you're getting. What I really want to
(07:30):
say is I could only imagine they felt so inadequate.
What makes you think that you were so much better
my gritty, my running mask? But if it's a liberating
sort of thing, like a freeing sort of thing where
everyone just wants to be there's there's silly selves.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
You're saying you're best at it. Do you know the
things that you want to really do as yourself? That's
what I mean.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
If everyone feels that way, rich, come on do the gritty?
I feel embarrassed, like I don't know, guys do I
want to do? I look sooween you're at in the
costume right, Yeah, it's a mascot.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
You can just be a goof. But that's my point.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
If he felt the freedom to be even goofier than
he already is, doesn't that seem apply to every parent
that's done it previous?
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Don't I don't have asset best mascot in the valley.
That's why. So what I'm asking is, I'm not saying
you weren't better. I'm saying what made you better. I
already got.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Calls people saying, hey, you want to be the dinosaur Universal.
I'm like, no, no, can do I'm busy.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
I'm busy.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I was asked, do you want to be optimist Prime?
I said, sorry, guys, can't.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
Man, can't do it. We know you already compete with
him as a coach. Better mascot. You are Gottlieb.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Come on, come on, give me freak. So that was
Rich's morning, mind man.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I was just lamping, dude, lamping, enjoying the glorious Friday,
getting ready for the weekend, watching WATS lots of highlights
from last night. Of course, So yesterday got home, I
dvarred the draft and can I tell you, you know,
there's times where there's certain things that are so great DVRD.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
You mean you didn't have to sit through the long
ass walk that each player had to make.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
I did like how some of them tapped their logo
of the team and some gave a little more, a
little more style when they tried on the hat in
the mirror.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
I thought that was cool. Lids had to set up.
But Kyler Booker really leaned into for the Cowboys. Yeah,
that was cool.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I'm gonna tell you this, and man, he was Yeah,
but he hit the logo real nice, you know what
I mean. Think about it, Alabama to the Cowboys like
those are two. You know, he's played for some legendary places.
Now my thought is this, before you get into all
the things that made you go hmm, the NFL Draft
might be the best programming to DVR.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
By far. I got home about an hour into the draft.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
I turned my phone off, I turned on silent, and
I told my wife DVR the draft. I'm a baseball
practice with my kid. No one, no parents said anything
to me. The ability and freedom to start that an
hour and fifteen minutes later and be like, I'm the
first pick.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Once I watch them all walk.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Down the aisle, I watched them hold up to jersey
and that was like fast word, fastward, fastward force the
pick is in press play, dude.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
It was amazing. I recommend everyone do it in the future.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
A baseball game, a condensed version of a baseball game
is always kind of fun too. I mean, I like
sitting through a baseball game a manageable two hours nowadays
two hours plus. But if you happen to miss it
and you watched a condensed version at the MLB, app offers,
that's pretty cool because it just cuts.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Out all the fat. That's what my dad does for
s n Y and the Mets.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
A lot of times he'll be watching some nonsense with
his wife and when she goes to Betty's like, oh,
I'll turn on the Mets and he'll watch.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
It's like they trim it down's like an hour.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
I'm trying to think of what else would be good,
like maybe some sort of pageant fast forward look for
the bikini part, yeah, and then see who wins and yeah,
that was fun.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
You know, it's a good thing to DVR.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
The Bachelor because there's a lot of nonsense downtime on
a date with someone you don't care about, and you're
like your fastward.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
It's a three hour show.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
So how about smut? Sometimes you're just looking for the
good parts? What's the good point? Why do you tell room?
I'm just that's that's case by case. Why don't you, uh,
depends on what your thing is, I guess. So let's
get into it. I was Sam he broke out the
football sound effects every football season.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
We do it on Mondays. Things that make you go,
things that make you go, things that make your goal.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
NFL Draft Edition, your thoughts, your observations. There's no wrong answer,
there's no wrong phone calls. It's anything you took in yesterday.
This is where we get you involved. We do it,
like Rich said, throughout the football season. We do it today,
Special edition as it continues eight seven, seven ninety nine,
Our Fox.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
What stood out to you?
Speaker 2 (11:47):
It doesn't necessarily have to be about the pick or
the surprise, but maybe just a weird observation. Like I'll
start off with one. It's an obvious one, but it
did happen. Did you see when.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Right Sure Goodell came out on a bicycle. Could we
start there? No, But I.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
How gleaming white his kicks were. I didn't notice that
he was rocking some shoe white last night. Those were mint.
But did you notice how long that walk was? I
didn't mention that. Our boy Jack Mack said it looked
like they were in a furniture store. It did look
(12:26):
like they were in a furniture warehouse, just sitting there.
But that walk reason to fast forward. It was a
long walk.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
It was like, man, you know, that was very noticeable.
I didn't notice that.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
When the bikes were all lined up on stage. Did
you notice that the bike James Jones was on was wobbling.
He was having trouble balancing it. It's hard to ride
a bike slow.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
They were kind of getting into a circle and I
was like, something's bad might happen here they all tip.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Over like the motorcycles and Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Yeah, so all right, Goodell's gleaming white sneakers came out
on a bike.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Now, Bears fans had to laugh at it.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
I thought it was really cool when Clay Matthews had
the oh, I have a letter from the President and
it's just a total diss at the Bears prank. I
enjoyed it straight from President Trump. The Bear still suck my.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
Fellow Americans, and we're like, oh, this is a real
letter from Trump himself.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Now, Covino pick number one was the obvious one, cam Ward,
and then the fireworks that have started from there because
we have a trade and we saw Jacksonville move up,
and I feel like they gave up quite a bit
to get that number two pick. So I ask everyone
in the room, Dan Bayer, get to see my friend
(13:47):
Danny g I was Sam Cavino on Rich Spotty. If
your Travis Hunter, is Jacksonville much better than Cleveland? Where
would you prefer historically to play? I feel like Jacksonville's
trying to build something now with new new leadership.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
But where would you rather play, Dan Buyer, I.
Speaker 6 (14:03):
Think that it's the opposite of historically, and that's why
I think it was so important for the Jaguars because
again we know about the Jaguars in London. They're not
going to be moving to London, it's not going to happen.
They're going to be building basically a brand new stadium
on the side of the current stadium. So the Jaguars
are in Jacksonville for a long time, but they needed
(14:25):
a star like Trevor Lawrence did not cross over into
that first overall pick quarterback superstar in the NFL, and
so I think it was value to Jacksonville to have
what could be possibly the next superstar in the NFL,
no doubt, be on their team, and you.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Know it could elevate Trevor Lawrence's game. I think so
as well.
Speaker 6 (14:44):
And it also is a commitment to Trevor Lawrence because
you give up a first round pick in a draft
next year that we think is going to be pretty
good with quarterbacks and he's got that long contract, so
there would be a heavy cap number. But remember in
February we were dissecting that Steelers Trevor Lawrence rumor, so
it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that Jacksonville
would want to move on. I think that that move
(15:05):
said a lot of things about what Jacksonville wants, where
they're going, and what they want to be.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
And I think Carino, is it safe to say for
the first time in a long time, because of Travis
Hunter and maybe Trevor Lawrence, that's a little rejuveinated Jacksonville
will be exciting to watch this year, that you're gonna
have another reason to watch Jacksonville without a doubt. And
I think that's why they made this move. And you know,
great analysis, dB. But what I took away from it
two was how excited he was to say he wanted
(15:33):
to play in Florida. He seemed pumped about it, genuinely.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Excited breaking out the dude. He leaned right into it.
Take a listen.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Well, let me preface this is actually a little mashup
of Liam Cohen doing Duvall from what a few months ago,
and then then Travis Hunter.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Nice Duvall. I just did my best Duvall back there,
but I got you doo.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Yeah, immediately he embraced Florida, and you know, his excitement
I thought was contagious. I have to also mention that
Neon pink jacket he was rocking last night looking hot.
He was looking like Kelvin Washington. I saw him wearing
a pink jacket similar recently. But yeah, man, I was
a cool pick and a very surprising one.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
And how about him taking the call while Lil Wayne
was standing right next to him? That was cool. Picture
looks like he's a little Wayne and Sun. It's great.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
But the other thing, we watched a lot of Buffs football,
tons of the country did because of Dion Sanders. The
one thing about Travis Hunter, you just got to hit
him accurately with a short pass.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
He'll do the rest of the work. Yeah, So this
should be easy money for Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Should be interesting and the jack seemed to be committed
to giving him an opportunity to play both sides of
the ball in some capacity. So again makes Jacksonville a hell.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Of a lot more exciting. Now where do you go
from there?
Speaker 4 (16:54):
I was saying, well, can I before we get past
the second pick in the trade? I, me and Jason
were talking about this. We talked about this on Doug Show,
that cam Ward was completely eclipsed by the trade. He
was given no shine. And it's like, yeah, we might
have assumed he was gonna be the first overall pick,
but I've been told that that trade between uh Cleveland
and Jacksonville was in the works for weeks, So it's
(17:15):
like they could have waited a few minutes and given
cam Ward more of the time he deserved as the
number one overall pick.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
It didn't.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
He was like, he got forty five seconds and then
you know, Adam Schefter was off geeking out and stuff.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
I thought, like, that's another great observation. No one's talking
about kat Moore today. You're right, when all said and done,
everyone's gonna remember that cam Ward was the number one pick.
But you're right, that was the big story. The bigger
story was the Cleveland, Florida trade.
Speaker 6 (17:44):
Yeah, the other The other thing that I would say
to that is we've known cam Ward's going to be
the pick for about the last couple of weeks they were,
so so it is there is drama with all of this,
and there wasn't a lot of drama. And I felt
that the even though the Sam's if the trade was
in the works for a couple of weeks, it happened
last night, and so that's what was going on. So
(18:06):
as you just said, cam Woard's gonna have a great
career and it's gonna be a footnote that he didn't
get his five minute highlight package, I'd be more mad
that if they were, you know, talking about Shude or
Sanders and why he didn't go at two or three
or whatever, instead of talking about cam Ward.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
But in reality, I'm not hurt about cam Ward.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
It's funny two your point, guys, I made my notes.
Cavino has his notes. Do you have cam Ward written anywhere?
I do, Oh, I have a whole list of my observations,
and I do not have the name cam.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Ward on my list.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
You know, Like when I made reference to him being
the first pick and props to him and the Titans,
that's really it.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
He did become a meme, though. There was one meme
that floated around right away because of the lack of
flash how he just looked clean with the little chain,
and the meme said, no flashy jewelry, no flashy suit,
no flashy girlfriend hogging the attention. Just a regular suit
thin Shane Alma Mater pin and his parents by his side.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
That's kind of cool. How clean he looked.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
That's kind of cool. You stand out by by not
being flashy at a moment like this, that's kind of cool.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
I respect that.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
I have a ton more observations that I know Cavino
does as well. But if you want to talk about style,
as they say, drip, we said it before we even
got off the air yesterday. I knew social media would
rip apart Adam Schefter's odd suit hoodie combination.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
It was noticeable and I got it. It was old Chili.
He even matched it.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
But I knew it the minute I saw him, like, oh,
like you know, fifty something or a white guy trying
to wear like the hoodie suit combo. But you know
why we recognize this stuff A because we have eyes,
but B because it's such a big night and These
are lasting images, right allah, The Brett Farvr situation where
he's there and his wranglers and his shorts like these
are lasting images in our minds. So on a big
(19:53):
night like this, he can't help but notice what people
are rocking and what they're doing and the actual choice
that he made.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
So he chose to do that. Granted it was probably chilly.
I get it.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Maybe it was a last minute thing, but it's hard
for you as the guy watching on such a big
night not to notice that, as silly as it sounds. Well,
if you want to chime in, we got plenty more
to talk about with the NFL Draft, because I mean
Night two, for the first time in a while, there's
some quarterbacks and some players that were not taken yesterday
that I think it's more incentive to actually pay attention tonight.
(20:23):
I don't know the last time I was this pulled
in for Night two of the draft. So we'll get
to that in a bunch more. Right here, covinon Retch
on a Friday at Fox Sports Radio. Oh yeah, take
your phone calls. Next eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox Now, we got to talk dollars, shave club dollars,

(21:55):
Is this about Goodell's shoes or what it's about cam Ward?
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yes? Nah, Dell's shoes. Those are fresh and clean, those
were white? Oh did he buy those?
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Those products you see on Instagram and TikTok? What is
it a When you see the foam, you get in
the zone. He was using shoe laureus. When I see
the foam, I'm in the zone. Well where he was
using some magic eraser on those bad boys. They were
gleaming magic eraser. Best thing for your Jordan's and Air
Force One's fun fact Our buddy Michael Yo chimed in.
(22:25):
He's a big Miami fan, so he might be a
little jaded, but he said cam Ward all business, no
outrageous blaying, no flash, He's gonna be Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
The kid's ready.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
So I mean, you know, I think it is a
fun night though, to see how everyone represents, like you said,
style enthusiasm. In fact, it wasn't until the end of
the first round, but I had my do you have
a favorite pick of the draft? Not like for the team,
but like favorite kid.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Well.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
I liked a lot of the reactions. I thought Jackson
darr was pretty pumped. I like the moves the Giants
made to get him. A lot of Giants fans wanted
that guy. I liked that he was there with his
family and how sentimental they all seemed and excited about it.
And yeah, I think he's the future of that team.
Speaker 7 (23:09):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
I like that reality. I mean, if you want to
talk about things that made you go, hmm, wasn't it.
Wasn't it Joe Shane's son who last year said go
Jaden Daniels, he didn't, And then this year he said,
Jackson Dart dad, And what did we get Jackson Dart Dad?
Speaker 7 (23:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:26):
How cool was that?
Speaker 2 (23:28):
And I do think that, Like I said, Giants fans
were pumped about it, and I was pumped for friends
of mine. I have a lot of Giants friends who
wanted that to happen. So I was pumped for him
and pumped for my friends. And when Ashton Genty went
to the Raiders, I was super pumped for.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
You, Danny J. Because last year you wanted Pennix Junior
and you got Hoes. But this time you got what
you wanted. So you know, I was pumped for you,
and I was pumped for him. You know what when
you hear the first syllable of someone's name and you
know it's not I was.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
When the Jags and well, they traded up, but when
the Patriots did not go with Genty, when they're like
and their pick is and I didn't hear esh, I was.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Like, Danny, g's gotta be set up.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
Like we talked about on the show yesterday. I didn't
think the Patriots were going to go running back, but
I did think when the Jag said we're going to
make a splash, I thought that they were going to
stand in the way at five. So once they traded
up to two, Scott Shapiro was here in the main
studio and he looked at me and he's like clear
path now, And I was like, clear path, dude.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
I thought of you, Danny, only because you and a
lot of Raiders fans I know, wanted Genty And I'm
not want to make predictions like cool, this guy's gonna
but with Pete Carroll running that team, and he is
run heavy what he did with Marshawn Lynch. A lot
of people pointed this out. And don't forget Chip Kelly
now the OC. He loves to run the ball, and.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
This could be like a perfect scenario for this kid.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
It's perfect because Gino Smith, you know, he could throw
and he could run and you got this guy there too.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
So and Gino's best. I think TV would back me
up on this. I think Gino is better suited for
or play action when he's got a good runner next
to him. That's when he's most effective.
Speaker 6 (25:05):
Absolutely, Seahawks just could ever get anybody healthy enough to
tarentein or to stay on the field.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Keneth Walker is good for twelve games. But yeah, I agreed.
I know who my favorite was.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
I don't want to skip too far ahead, but towards
the end of the first round, when the Buffalo Bills
pick Maxwell Harriston, this is the guy that was like
loving and hugging and bro hugging everyone his enthusiasm. Not
to sound like you know, emo boy, I got a
little emotional. My wife's like you, okay, I'm like this kid,
I'm so happy for him. I don't even I don't
know a thing about him, but his enthusiasm was contagious.
(25:35):
You have hugged every single prospect that has been called
before you tonight.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Now it is your moment. How does it feel to
trade Kentucky Blue in for Buffalo Blue?
Speaker 8 (25:45):
Man?
Speaker 1 (25:46):
This is I can't believe it's going on right now.
I got hell so thank for him, so pleased. Man,
I'm so happy to hear my name cars truly a
dream Kochu. I give out thanks to guy and your family.
You love them so much, you are wearing.
Speaker 8 (25:59):
Them with your heart and soul.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Tonight show us your jack everywhere. They with me everywhere
I go. I love my family man, my biggest supports system.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
Congratulations and Western New York's gonna love you.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Let's get the work. But below, Yeah, you gotta love
the reaction and the emotion. And you know it's for
their family. It's the hard work they put in, and
it's that little kid they once were and making that
dream come true. And you heard that throughout the night,
and that's what makes you so fun. No doubt your observation.
Do you want to go the phone? Yeah, let's do it.
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight ninety nine
(26:34):
on Fox Any observation from last night our NFL Draft edition.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Of Things that made You Go Well.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
We are live from the Fox Sports Radio studio and
for over forty years, ty Iraq has been helping customers
find the right tires for how, what and where they drive,
ship fast and free back by free road hazard protection
and convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Okay, so
before we go to the phones, I do want to
point out a very viral moment that I'm sure you
so over and over again, so I'll get this out
of the way. Offensive lineman from Texas Kevin Banks June
(27:05):
Calvin Banks, I'm sorry, no, Kevin, isn't it Kevin Kelvin
Kelvin Banks. Kelvin Banks Junior gets drafted by the Saints
and there's a little baby at the shot so good
and immediately the little baby throws up and everyone's zooming
in on it. It goes viral and that was definitely
a big moment because you're like, yeah, they're in the
(27:26):
middle of all all the fun that happens.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
People are like, is it because the Saints or help.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
My uh my wife was the first to point that out,
because you know, I'm watching the bigger picture.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
She's like, oh, cute baby.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
She has baby fever, and I'm like, no, we're not
having a third. So she's like, oh, look at the baby,
and she's she's like, didn't you see that? I'm like,
see what you rewind?
Speaker 1 (27:45):
I didn't see it until you know it went viral
on social media. Baby probably just had a bottle.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
I'm not saying they shook the baby, but the excitement
in the excite, the excitement just just moving a baby
like that around all inside that little We've all had
kids a little spit out the It's not like Exorcist
Linda Bleir, no projectile vomiting.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
He was a little spit up here.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
So hard to miss that one, but really fire, you know,
as you always talk about, those are the moments that
the family will talk about forever. That kid's gonna be
grown up and the stories be like and then when
your dad got drafted, you threw up all that's gonna
be the family story. All right, Let's go to Jeff
and Marilyn. Jeff, you're on with seeing r Hey Jeff, Hey, Fellows.
Speaker 8 (28:24):
I think it's hilarious, you know, Goodell.
Speaker 7 (28:27):
Probably not. You know, he's sort of a skin he's
sort of a frail guy.
Speaker 8 (28:31):
I' he's too big.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
But the one of observation I had.
Speaker 8 (28:34):
Was these big bear hugs that come out and just
and just trap him like he's almost like a rag
doll where his head goes right into the almost their
belly like I would break trevil vertebrate.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Let me tell you he gets there.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
He gets picked up, toss out and some of these
intense like handshake into bro hugs.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Like those are not gentle like I guarantee at the
end of.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
The night, he's like Day, who's a twenty seventh. I
think he gave him that long long he picked him up.
He gave him the old spine stretch. I don't know, Dan,
if you uh, I don't let me get my charts
out later in the draft, but in the first round.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
But he really held on to him for a long time. Yeah, yep.
And he was joyful about it too. What else do
we got, David in Texas? What's up?
Speaker 6 (29:18):
Dave?
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Wed Hey, ho's it going?
Speaker 7 (29:22):
I got I got two things. Man. You stole my
thunder with the with the bills pick, but I'll send
you this other one when the guys were joking around
on stage, Saban wasn't laughing much too much at all
and stuff like that. So that's one thing observation I took.
And the other one I want to send out my
love to the Pittsburgh Cedar pick. His mom died all respects.
(29:44):
God's taking care of her peace, guys.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Is he talking Derek, Derek Harmon, Yeah, Derek Harmon. You
know what's interesting about that pick too? Is this clear
that they went defensive tackle, so they totally passed on
a QB, which means they're leaving it open for Aaron Rodgers.
That's what makes you go, hmm, that's the biggest story there.
It's like, really they're they're really banking on Rogers. They
(30:08):
must have a lot more confidence than we as fans do. Well,
that's how you know what he has left.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
That's how you know. Could you know that a Aaron
Rodgers is in the mix?
Speaker 2 (30:15):
And also absolutely that Shaudor who's rubbing people the wrong way?
Speaker 1 (30:22):
Those are the moments.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
There were two times where I told my wife, who
was like half aass paying attention, like babe, babe, come here,
I think it's gonna happen. And when the Saints passed
him early, I'm like, all right, then he might go
to twenty one the Steelers. And then when the Steelers
you heard a different again. When it's like when the
Academy Awards, when you hear the first syllable the first
name and it wasn't should, You're like, oh my god, Yeah,
congrats that Derek Harmon of Oregon. So you have to
(30:44):
imagine that now, Yeah, that that's happened. We're gonna get
a Rogers update any minute, not only a Rodgers update.
I think there's still the big surprise tonight. Could you know, like,
who will want Shador Sanders?
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (30:58):
In fact, even President Trump has weighed in on Sanders.
You want me to read it really quick.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
I love you to read it. What is wrong with
NFL owners? Are they stupid?
Speaker 5 (31:09):
Dion Sanders was a great college football player and was
even greater in the NFL. He's also a very good coach,
street wise and smart. Therefore, Shador, his quarterback son, has
phenomenal genes and is all set for greatness. Trump wrote
in a truth social post he should be picked immediately
by a team that wants to win all capitals. Good luck,
(31:29):
Shador and say hello to your wonderful father.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Well, like we said fuel to the fire, as he
said fuel to the fire legendary, but he sort of
got what he deserved last night, meaning some humility. It
had to be really embarrassing for the kid to not
go last night, and that was his big biggest criticism
was that maybe he's a little too cocky, so maybe
he puts them where he needs to be. Well, we
(31:53):
got more observations, but it's time for Dan Bayer in
an update dB. As we get into night two of
the draft, we got adn't be a playoff. I'm sure
a lot on your play today.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
Up, Dan Brown's are on the clock at number thirty
three overall to start that second round.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Texans and Titans will follow it.
Speaker 6 (32:07):
All gets resumes coming up at seven o'clock Eastern time,
second and third rounds taking place tonight. Former Vikings running
back Adrian Peterson was arrested on dui chargers earlier this
morning in Minnesota following a team draft party. Peterson was
allegedly going eighty three and a fifty five miles per
hour zone breathalyzer test came in at point one four,
the legal limit in Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Is zero point oh eight.
Speaker 6 (32:30):
NFL Commissioner Roger goodelsa is the NFL triple header on
Christmas Day will likely be a permanent thing. Made the
comments to the Pat McAfee show. Also said that the
Thanksgiving Day games will alter kickoff times, so that Lions
game that started at twelve thirty eastern different than everything.
Likely we'll go to a one o'clock Eastern time kick
like we're so used to on Sundays.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
But I did like the twelve thirty eastern. I thought
there was something funky about it. I did appreciate it,
woke up, turn the game right out on the West Coast.
Speaker 6 (32:59):
Absolutely early starts of the day, but the more a
traditional window four Thanksgiving kids turn off the parade time exactly, Sorry,
Macy's Jason Hansen's about to kick off. The other note
from the NFL is that Roger Goodell did tell the
Pat mcavie Show they may look into shortening the time
(33:20):
frame for first round picks.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
It used to be fifteen, now it's ten.
Speaker 6 (33:24):
He says, maybe going down to seven, and if a
team needed a little bit more time, they could give
them a bonus couple of minutes. That was just something
that he floated today and usually when Roger Goodell says something,
there's a reason why he says it. Celtics and Magic
tonight in Game three, Pacers and Bucks will play their
Game three as well Lakers and Turberwolves in Minneapolis at
nine to thirty Eastern. No John Morant for tomorrow's Game
(33:44):
four for the Grizzlies against the thunder OKC up three
to zero, and that best of seven series comes in
Phillies are underway in Chicago after a rain. De Lake
comes on top two nothing right now as they play
in the third inning at the Zari Classic. Andrew Novak
and Ben Griffin leader at sixteen hunder power in second
round Player of the Team event Live Golf. Bubba Watson
(34:05):
currently having the lead. You can see on Fox Sports
too as they play in Mexico City. He's at six
under par. Bricont Shamba one shot back, guys, back.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
To you, thanks Dan dB covino to what Dan said
about Roger Goodell maybe shortening the draft times. It proves
my point. Then I said, I DV hard the draft
and there's a lot of great information. You like watching
them come out of the tunnel holding up the jersey
bro hugging Goodell, highlight reel, quick analysis, and then there's
like four minutes of all right, the picks in or
(34:36):
what are we doing? It is the ultimate DVR thing,
So I think Godella is So you're replacing the Bachelor
because you always hate those one on one dates, So
you're replacing the Bachelor with the NFL Draft to be
the number.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
One, number one v thing to watch DVR ultimate show.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
All right, Hey, we got more Cavine on Rich, more
things that made you go home, and we're gonna play
our front game.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
Is it Cavino or Belichick?
Speaker 2 (34:58):

I do it.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
My favorite meme of the night, and I'll let you
know what that is in a second. Is the Cadelbian
rag doll Arrowsmith.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
That's why I play this. Just Sam, I pick up
on it.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
I was say him on the Ones in Tuesdayanny g

play of the day. The Jacks moved up to the
number two trade with the Browns to grab Heisman winner,
who said is capable of transforming their franchise even though
the sport of a time.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
No, it's just I'm not able to are you reading?
You read it?
Speaker 2 (36:49):
What for it?
Speaker 1 (36:49):
You tell me? Go ahead, Landy Pofo, you read it?
Go ahead, time for our tirecht player of the day the.
Speaker 7 (36:59):
Day.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
But go ahead, so you already play the yeah and
you should player.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
The Jags moved up to number two in a trade
with the Browns to grab the Heisman winner, who they
said is capable of transforming their franchise and even the
sport of foot.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Oh, there you go, Trim, take a listen with the
second pig. In the two twenty five NFL Draft, the
Jacksonville Jaguars select Travis Hunter wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Yeah, Colorado, It's gonna be fun to watch Hunter on
both sides of the ball. That's our Tiraq play of

And I said, I have my favorite meme because there's
so many good ones. I feel like I don't know
who makes all these memes. I don't get credit. They
you just you see one, you repost it. There's it's
like the internet. You used to say, who uploads all
these like old school TV clips and themes?
Speaker 1 (38:09):
I still wonder who did that? Who is the kind
soul that does that and gets nothing in return? No one, well,
no one gets credit.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
My favorite meme is shud Or Sandser's face photoshopped over
Will Smith on Fresh Prince hugging doctor Uncle Phil.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
How come I don't want me?
Speaker 7 (38:26):
Man?
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Well, that's the best one I've seen. Because it doesn't
matter who your daddy is. In the NFL. Spot was
talking about that. It's not the NBA. NFL is much different.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
You know.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
I respect what Trump said. I think it's kind of funny, right,
what are you crazy not draft in Shaudor? But it
doesn't matter how great is dad.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
It sounded like he wanted teams to draft Deon and
it did right, Yeah, like his dad was so great.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Well, you know what, maybe his son rubbed people the
wrong way in the interviews. That's what we discussed yesterday
on the show. We've seen the Trump kids, but by
the way other than other than Trump, there were a
lot of people that were shocked. I feel like the
most shocked person was if you did watch it on ESPN,
that wasn't a vampire, it was mel Kuiper. And mel
(39:10):
Kiper the whole time had him at number one, my
number one quarterback on the board. All right, I guess
they picked cam Ward. But then when Jackson Dart was
chosen and traded up for I think mel Kiper blew
a gas ket inside. He's like stunned by this. So
and then he started saying, well, Brady was chosen, White
brought Perty was chosen late. Then he started rattling off
guys that were chosen late. Mel Kuiper doesn't get it.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
This is what he does year round though, like and
so he builds up through the entire year up to
this day and then his pick, his analysis is completely
blown up.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
So it makes him look kind of bad.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Speaking of people that we were watching aside from the
players like mel Kuiper, can I just shout out Field
Yates and his flow and his salad. I saw him
in Scott van Pelt talking about it. But here's what
stood out to me. Okay, so he has this full
on flow going on, and he saw his Maine. He's
got like a Kenny Maine. He's got new hair right.
And Van Pelt's like, I didn't hear a word you
(40:04):
said because I was just admiring the flow. And he said,
thanks SVP. I've been letting it grow since December. And
I'm thinking to myself, he's been growing that hair for
five months, Like my hair would be down. I think
down to my shoulder. You would look at Clay Matthews.
You would look like the Voto Matthews. But I didn't
cut my hair for five months. Dude, like Danny Treo.
(40:24):
I just can't believe how handsing me like like he
hasn't croomed it in five months. If I didn't cut
my hair in five months, it just would look it
would look bad? Do it? I was Sam, I would Sam,
how would your hair like if you didn't cut it
for five months?
Speaker 4 (40:36):
I go six months between haircut. I swear you had
a Bob Ross thing for a while.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
I know I do.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
So you know the fact that he says he hadn't
cut it since December. It did stick out to me
because I'm like, every two weeks you see a lot,
a lot of black guys and Latino guys that have
more than fade. Look, two weeks, maybe I get a
monthly spot, monthly haircut.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Maybe every month.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
If I go six weeks, that's a lot of time shaggy,
That's what I'm saying. So I mean the artist, he
has to trim up his neck a little bit or something.
Five months good for Field the Eights. He was looking handsome,
Sean in sack Town. What you got man, NFL draft?
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Go ahead?
Speaker 8 (41:14):
Yeah, my favorite trio on the radio. I am over
here dying at the low opening story about Rich being
a mascot.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Man.
Speaker 8 (41:24):
Look, it took me back to my days at Chuck
E Cheese at Arny Fair Mall up here in Sacramento. Man,
the dopest Chucky in the building. For all the same reasons.
Goofy as hell had a little herbal remedy going before
I even got in the suit. So you know it's
gonna be hilarious. Keep doing what you're doing, Rich, take
maybe take a little edible and lock even more greatness
for them kids out there.
Speaker 7 (41:44):
Man.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
But as far as well, you know what, hold on, Sean,
hold on, We got a break.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
But I want to hear from you as always, absolutely
hang tight. More coven on Rich next right here,
