I don't know about you, but I was trying to

Well, uh, there are pills for that.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Give me those money shots.

Speaker 2 (03:04):

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Oh wow, something tell me you got a guy?

Is that right?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
You got a guy that could take you know, get
your gray hair.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Fool you? You know what, I'm just.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Hey, I'm not mad at you. You know.

Speaker 1 (03:19):

great show ahead. Let's welcome in the Odd Couple crew

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Alex of course, is our engineer, Ryan.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Is our producer, and Steve de Sager's at the anchor desk.
Steve will keep us updated throughout the program, and of course,
Elijah is our social media google.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
He's busy he's got me doing all of the.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Uh draft coverage and all the stuff on Social live
simulcast all that, So Elijah has his hands full, but
a lot to get to. Uh coming up on the program.
You know, we're really just gonna talk some draft stuff, expectations.
Of course, you know there's the Pistons Knicks game, which

(04:13):
is which you will you know, be out there as well,
you know, kind of overshadow from the draft, but it's
out there.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I don't know this year.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yeah. That that well, that's another thing that we're about
to talk about. I got you.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
And of course, uh, the Shannon Sharp News which everybody's heard,
and we'll just talk about.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
That a little bit as well.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Boy Uh and Shannon of course put out his own
news and we'll just let you know in case you're
just turn it on the radio from a long day
of work and you don't know what's going on, we'll
get you informed. In a little shackle city, all that
and much more. But let's let's start there.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Kelvin.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
And you just said it about the draft, and I
think that there's a real chance this is gonna be
a snoozer. I really do. It just doesn't seem to
have the buzz. I don't get the sense that there's
some big trade in the works, Blockbuster's gonna happen, or
we're gonna get some surprise and be knocked over and say,

(05:06):
oh my god, shardor was the number one pick when
all along it was cam Ward And no, you know
what I mean, like some shocking thing of that magnitude,
or Travis hunters the first pick or or something of that,
or cam Ward drops to twenty one, or do you
expect anything like that? Because I have low expectations for

(05:26):
the draft, and I know everybody wants to listen and
find out what's going on.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
But this has been a different draft for me.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
It has usually there's a little more juice, a little
more sauce. And to be honest with you, especially as
people who talk about this for a living, you and
I every single day, I mean, we've had to rehash
the same stories. How many ways can we skin the
Travis Hunter on the cat? How many ways can we
skin the Shador Sanders? Well he is he's maybe he'll

(05:55):
go twenty first, maybe he'll go to you know, they
say he's a little entitled. Like we've tried every way
along with all media to find different ways to have
these conversations because there's just not a lot out there.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Cam Ward is the number one pick. We don't talk about.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
To talk about him, what is it to talk about.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
He's gonna be the first pick by default, I guess right,
because there's really not much else going on, so there's
real no debate there.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Yeah, and honestly, it's there's no star outside of genty
the back from North Carolina. There's not a lot of
other big names out there that had things just talk about,
a storyline to talk about, or as you mentioned, teams
that have alluded to a big time trade that is
on the horizon. You know, maybe Kirk Cousins is out there.

(06:41):
Does somebody want to trade for him? You know, does
somebody want to trade for Russell Wilson? I know they
just signed up, but you give it. I mean something
where oh now, maybe the Giants will take your door.
There's no drama. There's no owners that are saying really
either wise or things that are out there that make
you go hmmm, you know, may ebe there's nothing not

(07:02):
that Rob and we tried, other shows have tried. It's
the Chaduur and Travis Hunters Show with Jenty on the sideline,
Ty Warren on the side. Now have dual Carter on
the sideline waiting to say, Hey, anybody want to talk
about me?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Dart on the sideline as well.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Usually we have five or six quarterbacks we talk about,
right this one, like the first three, we know we're
gonna be, you know, first three off the board, top
five picks.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Then there's a ooh you never know, amit around?

Speaker 4 (07:30):
None of that.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
There's not even that.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
So it's just a unique one off where the draft
just does not feel with anything that really is taking
a cake. And quite honestly, that's why I said, you
you know, I think people might be like, oh shoot,
and maybe I'm biased because it's you and I have
a you know, our Jordan bet on the Nicks and Pistons.
But it's one one. It's a good series. Heading back
to Detroit. Now, I'm like, oh shoot, let's see that.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
And obviously everybody's gonna watch the first bit of the
you know they're gonna watch the draft, but outside of
those handful of picks, you know, it's gonna be watching
how far shaud Dore drops. Therein lies the juice of the.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Is that it? Yeah, that might be that might be it.
That might be the drama.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
It's like, Okay, they didn't pick him third, they didn't
pick him fourth, they didn't pick him fifth, you know
what I mean? Like uh, like like rubber necking on
the freeway, you know, like, what's happening here?

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Wait a minute?

Speaker 2 (08:20):
What if he does he?

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Is he in the room? Is he in the room
with his head down?

Speaker 2 (08:23):
You know what I mean? Fate?

Speaker 4 (08:25):
You remember Aaron Rodgers happens?

Speaker 6 (08:28):
See that?

Speaker 2 (08:29):
What if he goes to the Saints?

Speaker 1 (08:33):
You know, and and all of a sudden, Uh, that's
kind of over like the whole you know, where should
we're gonna go?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Like if he were to go to the Saints who
have the ninth pick?

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Is that it?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Are we done?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Right? I'll tell you which one that would shock me?

Speaker 5 (08:52):
And I've told you this from day one, even though
they desperately need a quarterback and a franchise quarterback.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Remember I just told you I just can't see them
at the Giants. Yeah, I told you.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
I just I didn't grow up as a Giants fan
in New York. I grew up as a Jets fan.
But you know, obviously I knew what was going on
with the Giants. And I worked and covered the Giants
when I became a professional writer and all that stuff.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
But I just I didn't see it. And that was
a situation there right where it could have been a
slam dunk for them.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
Right, Okay, we've already taken all of these you know,
quote unquote white toast. And you know what I mean
by that plane Jane's is that a better word than
white toast? But you get what I'm saying. Yeah, I
don't mean it in a racial way.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Well, shoot, I told you they went from maybe one
or two in the history to now for some strange reason,
they draft should do Shador Russell and Jamis at once.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Until the year three thousand.

Speaker 5 (09:52):
But that's why I don't see it happened. And you
know now I don't not with the moves they made.
They could have just signed Jameis Winston right and said, okay,
here's a viable backup in case something happens or he's
not ready, you know what I mean. And the Giants
aren't expected to win a division really with Philadelphia and
Washington like like, the Giants are looking to re establish themselves.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
When you agree with that they're not looking to win
any division.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
What just to me why I still go back to
and again, if they don't, if they didn't like Chador
for whatever the reasons may be, then they just didn't
like Shador, and that's their prerogative.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
And that's that's you know, that's their scouting, right exactly.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
If their scouting says, hey, he's just not the guy's
arms not strong enough, we don't think he's mobile enough. Whatever,
that's fine, and then you gotta get somebody's got to
play the quarterback position. So therefore Russell Wilson makes sense
in that regard, and then having very capable backup in
Jameis Winston. But if at all you were like, you
know what, I'm liking what I'm seeing.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
I like what I saw in the film.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
I'm liking his you know, his strength, his pot is
you know, I don't want to say arrogance, but his
confidence in himself. That's why I was shocked they wouldn't
do that, just so that they can finally say, hey,
we got a guy that.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
We can build around feel good with moving forward.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Because to your point, if Russell was just a retread
and they go five and twelve, six and eleven seventh, like,
uh okay, what was that? Still gets you fired? I'd
rather I'd rather should do Let's say, his first eight games,
he's three and five, but he looks good, you know,
he's pushing along. We just don't have the greatest team

(11:25):
around him. And the city is like, whoa okay, and
I'm like, yo, don't fire us yet.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
We might have the guy and we might be onto something.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
But if I signed Russin is just and maybe it's
not even Russell's fault because again, the team isn't loaded
with that much talent, and all of a sudden you're
sitting there and you're just you know, after eight games,
you're two and six. The end the season, like I said,
five and twelve, six and eleven, man, get on up
out of here. So I just thought, if you found
some spark and shaddure that could help you the GM,

(11:58):
that could help you the coach, you could be saying
we're on our way.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
That's that was my thinking behind it.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
Yeah, and and and that sounds and it's reasonable. And
and the Giants have so many as I've said to
you before, they got more homes, so they have issues and.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
They're looking there are no doubt about cheese.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
So I mean we we're expecting the first two picks
to be what they are and then after that, Uh,
it's about watching shadeur. I guess expectations. So so what
let's what are your expectations? Tell me something you expect,
and then we're rooping it up for people to tell
us what they expect from this traft. What do you expect?

Speaker 4 (12:43):
One thing?

Speaker 1 (12:44):
I absolutely think, Uh, we're gonna we're going to get
I think we're going to get a trade. Someone's going
to trade up or trade back because they just say, hey,
there's nothing there for us, we might as well go back.
And some team obviously wanted to get ahead and maybe
get whoever their guy is. So I think we will
get a trade that makes us go, oh, didn't see
that coming. And I think also, I just I don't think.

(13:09):
And I'm the only person on earth except for all
the calls we got yesterday, but as far as anybody
on the media, I just think maybe should do a
surprise us and goes earlier than we thought.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Maybe someone was calling a bluff.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
So give us a number. Where do you see him?

Speaker 1 (13:20):
I'm looking at that Saints pick there, I'm looking at that,
I'm looking at it again.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
I mean maybe very low percentage. But do the Giants
pull something off there?

Speaker 5 (13:31):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Does Caroline up say Bryce Young, we can trade you
or something? And then again, maybe there's a trade up? Dude,
does Pittsburgh jump up? Aaron Rodgers, we talked to him.
He said, look, man, I'm not I'm still not ready yet.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
I'm still making a decision. Does Pittsburgh pull a move
and maybe go up? You know, I just it'll be
I can't see him dropping out of the first round.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
I just I can't see that.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
You can't tell me a guy was top five a
month and a half, two months ago, and now he's
out the first round.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Yeah, I'm not gonna go there.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
But my expectations are that he will be drafted twenty
or lower, that he'll be in the first round. But
the drum beat is so loud. Hard for me to
believe that everybody is that off on this.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
You know what, A drum beat for anything else ain't
loud rop no, no, no, but this is that.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Yeah, without a.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Doubt, I'm saying, my goodness, there's literally no other I
mean conversation.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
That I'm just saying like, I don't know. You know,
I'm not a draft guy. I don't have inside information.
I'm you know, we're not Kelvin and I are not
going to sit here and read other people's stuff and
try to act like it's our information.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
We don't cover the NFL drafts or college football like that.
So I'm just saying from the drum beat, it just
sounds like he's not gonna go high and it's going
to be I'm with you, I would be stunned. But
then again, Drew Brees was picked in the second round
and he's going to the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yep, what I mean.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Russell Wilson looks like he's going to be a Hall
of Fame and he was a third round pick. Had
Deshaun Watson stayed on track, you know, to where he's
Joe Montana fourth round pick. Yeah, I mean, so well,
it happens, it happens.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
I'm just saying, right, right, but Shador, considering his bloodlines,
what people have seen him in his name the last
couple of years, I'm expecting him to be in the
first round, just not in the top ten. I would
be closer to twenty than I am to ten.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Yeah, I mean, according to what we're reading, you're right
on track. You're right on track, so that's not far fetched.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox on this TV
theme song Thursday, it is almost forgot eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. I want to
hear from you. Just expectations. Give me, Give me a scenario,
a circumstance. What what do you expecting to see tonight?
Is there a change at number one?

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Chador?

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Where did he wind up? Anything? Travis Hunter? Does he drop?

Speaker 5 (15:59):
Maybe he's not second, Maybe he's third to the giants,
you know what I mean? Maybe I don't see any
of that, but maybe you do.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
We want to hear from you.

Speaker 5 (16:07):
It is The Odd Couple, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington on

Speaker 4 (16:36):

would be?

Speaker 5 (16:43):
The biggest gift would be from me and the car
attack us say thank you for being afraid.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Alex. You know how to do an hour off right
right there right that.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
I told him. When he plays that, though, I'm like,
what else do we do? It's such a banger.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
It is the Odd Couple, Rob and Kelvin on this

the draft will find out? Of course, is happening here
at Fox Sports Radio. Draft Night lives coming up at
eight eastern here in just a little bit. The first
round of the draft will have insider Jay Glazier, former

(17:44):
Jets general manager Joe Douglass, college football Hall of Famer
LeVar Arrington, and Fox Sports League College football reporter Jenny Taff.
They're gonna be having you covered for all thirty two
picks with predictions and reactions. That's coming up here at
eight pm Eastern throughout the first run of the Draft,
life right here on FSR and live video simulcast on
Fox Sports Radio YouTube page. Present it by Express Pros.

(18:07):
All right, Robert taking calls, just expectations. Do you see
anything happening this draft, any sneaky moves, anything you got
your eye on? In his first run of the Draft
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, we got.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
Let's go Greg in Wichita. You're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Greg? Hey?

Speaker 7 (18:24):
Rob Hey came in the Tennessee. I'm gonna serve with
the number one pick. The Tennessee Titans should do this.
It would make for a really domino effect for the
rest of the first round. Is cam Ward is not great?
Is it going to be that much better than Levis?
I think the Titans should let that number one go

(18:48):
to somebody that needs a quarterback, get a handful of picks,
build the team, ride that Levis rookie contract out, and
when they're built up, and then they get a better
quarterback in a couple of years, that's what they should do.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Your plan makes total sense to me, seriously, Like they
have a lot of issues and holes and stuff to fill.
And I just don't know, I don't know how many
picks Kelvin, you're gonna get it for this quarterback in
this draft?

Speaker 4 (19:19):
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Like, that's the issue I thought about that.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
I remember we were on yesterday and I said, man,
I mean, Will Levis might be the quickest afterthought I've
ever seen for a quarterback. And Josh Rosen, well, Josh
Rosie and Josh Rosen unfortunately was not chosen. He was
chosen Rosen. Boy, that wasn't it. He was Josh chosen
very quickly. And also Will Levis as far as just

(19:45):
I mean universally usually rob somebody's like, all right, no,
I'm telling you he's good.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
He's had a rough start, he was nervous.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Everybody is like next, and that is I feel like
that might be the most understated storyline, the fact that
Will lev like that, the Titans moved on and already
looking at cam Ward.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
No doubt.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
Kyle and des moines, you're in the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
What's up, Kyle?

Speaker 6 (20:09):
Thanks taking my call? Yes, Sir, I think I think
it's the silence the time for the Packers ticket White
see in the first round. I just think there's too
many good ones that passed up by which they've never done.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
They never did it for Aaron Rodgers. They never did it.

Speaker 6 (20:23):
Yeah, but look at what we let in last year
was most drops the entire NFL.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
We've got to.

Speaker 6 (20:28):
Get somebody to love to throw the ball too. It's
going to catch the ball and he onto it, and
I think that's a buka.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
So okay, I like that, Kyle, no doubt. Still amazing,
isn't it that they didn't.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Draft the first round skilled position for Aaron Rodgers this
whole career there?

Speaker 1 (20:43):
The good thing for him is that he had some,
but they didn't go out of their way.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
But I'm just.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Saying that's neighbors, right, Uh?

Speaker 5 (20:51):
Jim in Texas, you're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
What's up, Jim?

Speaker 6 (20:56):
Is Jim?

Speaker 2 (20:57):
What's happening?

Speaker 8 (20:59):
I think I think the Giants gonna be snaky.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
Why not get Travis Rader and the first round of
night We're gonna blow everybody out of the water.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
You said the Giants, Uh gets Okay, I know their
next one.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
They have the thirty first.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Worst they got the your third and thirty four, so
that would be second round if they were able to pay.

Speaker 7 (21:22):
They're gonna trade back up. They gonna trade back up
and get it.

Speaker 5 (21:25):
And yes, if you're right, call back tomorrow because we
definitely want you on and want to know what you are,
where your intel came from, because if.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
You if you're right on that, I will be shocked,
beyond shocked.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
Dre in Massachusetts, you're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
What's up, Dre?

Speaker 8 (21:46):
Yeah, what's going on? Thanks for taking the call. I
feel like this NFL draft, a lot of us are
missing the lead. And that's Travis Hunter and the type
of generational player that he's gonna be at least on
one side of the ball, whichever side that he focuses on.
But then he can also help about you know, if
he's going to be that defensive stopp of, that lockdown
guy in the defensive ends, he can come in and
help your offense and then vice versa. He has such
a high skill set, you know, intellectually, and then athletically.

(22:10):
So I feel like a lot of the focus, and
it has to be that way, is on the quarterbacks.
But really, everybody knows this is not the draft for quarterbacks.
The march for arch Manning has already begun for next
year in terms of a quarterback who can really change
a franchise. So, like what the previous callers have said,
you know, maybe Tennessee does get Maybe Tennessee does do
what we should have been able to do in New

(22:31):
England if we didn't squirrel away the number one pick
and get innovative and trade down from that number one
and build their team out more soon.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
So I hear that, and normally it would make sense.
Who's giving you a ton of picks for cam Ward?
Is what I'm asking you. Who's dying for cam Ward?
If you're telling us it's not Kelvin, you know, it's
not a quarterback draft. So who's given up a boat
load for a non quarterback draft?

Speaker 8 (23:01):
Rob point taking. So again, if I'm Tennessee and I
just do the right thing as we alluded to in
terms of nineteen eighty four NBA draft and take the
best player available who's craving.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
Hunter, Okay, then I'm with you. I'm with you on that.
I'm with you.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
Just take the best player and forget about that quarterback
and all that Travis Hunter two way.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Unicorn do it. I'm with you. One more.

Speaker 5 (23:21):
Let's get one more in Calvin before we get to
the update. Will in Wisconsin. You're on the eye couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
What's up, Will, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (23:30):
Calvin?

Speaker 7 (23:30):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Rob?

Speaker 9 (23:32):
And while you guys are really locked in tonight and
Rob to go back to a couple maybe a couple
of weeks ago conversation. There are some fans. There are
three sets of fans here, Bears, Packers and stealers. The
Bears with a lot of picks there in the top
seventy five there they're hoping, you know, that they're able to,
you know, fill out that team and really, you know,

(23:53):
do right by Caleb Williams, get them the right weapons.
I know there's a couple of top receivers. You know
everyone's talking about Jackson Dart, but you know, from that standpoint,
you know he had to deliver the ball to somebody
the same way there with Michael Pennock's junior and Romo Dunes, right,
So I think Trey Harris or McMillan for a team
like the Bears or even the Packers, and then that's

(24:13):
the same thing. Fans are out here saying, you know,
the Packers are kind of in a spot where, you know,
like the tam Bay Rays, right like, they get talent,
they raise it up, it kind of goes nowhere, they
go other places and you know, net championships or what
have your at least go play very well. I mean,
you know they can say, you know, losing Mark Marquis Valdez.

(24:33):
I shouldn't say losing, but Marcus Valdez scantling as far
as you know, receivers and guys for this team. You know,
he goes to another team wins the super Bowl and
it's like, you know, so what do we do here?
And of course the Steelers rob the The true litmus
test here is what is the future after Mike Tomlin
or what is that going to be? Outside of any drafts,

(24:54):
folks are just looking for a more long term solution
for the team as opposed to just the busy work
in the draft. But things go.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Thanks will appreciate it, all right, Yeah, people got some
thoughts on this draft. Again, we're getting closer and closer
to it happening here at the moment. On the other side,
we got to talk about Shannon Shannon Sharp.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Yes, we'll address it.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
We'll address that.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
He made a statement today on social media, and he's
made a few over the last twenty four hours forty
eight hours.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live it.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
See couple Rob and Kelvin on a draft day. Also,
of course TV Things song Thursday. So there's really nothing
else to do but get to it here. Shannon Sharp
put out a statement today, Rob, but you kind of
got a backtrack a little bit on this and kind
of go over what's been transpiring over the last I

(25:53):
don't know, forty eight hours or so, thirty six hours,
what have you.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
So it comes out.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
The other day that Shannon Sharp there was a lawsuit
against him with the Jane Doe, who he would then
later name in his first response that you know, he
could tell.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
He had his written response saying they we're gonna fight this.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
The lawyer busby that she's with all he does is
try to take down successful people, and it seemed to
be successful.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Black man.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
I'm just telling what Shannon said referring to jay Z
and he said, I'm innocent. It's a shakedown, you know,
and I appreciate my family and friends being there for me.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
So that was his initial response.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Oh, and they also put out the text messages to
kind of prove how everything was consensual.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Uh, you know, you can see in the.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Text messages she was wanting, she was asking for some things.
We'll leave it alone, I won't say over the air.
Obviously people have read the text messages. So that was
kind of the initial thing. But then we find out
a little bit more about the Jane Doe again he
named her people the internet. It pulled up on infro,
put up the pictures who she was, and around the
time of the original text, she was nineteen and I

(27:04):
believe he was fifty four, if I'm not mistaken. So
that is where a lot of people kind of change
their tune. Well, while maybe legal, it is a little
weird little you know, And that is kind of where
things started to take a turn a little bit in
the favor of Shannon Sharva, if you will. And then
He put out another response, Basically, he's going to be

(27:24):
stepping away from ESPN from his two days with Stephen
A for first take. He's gonna take some time handle
this to fight for his name, clear his name, and
he is going to bounce back in preseason of the
NFL season. So that is the synopsis of where we are. Originally,
they were asking for fifty million dollars in his lawsuit.

(27:44):
There are reports that he may have offered ten million
for this to go away originally, but now here he
is ten.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Million to go away for something that didn't happen.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
No, ten million to go away, just saying it.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
She was offered supposedly.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
His lawyer said that right, they offered her ten million.
I'm saying ten million to go away of something that
didn't happen. I understand people do this all the time.
You know, you don't want to go to court, you
don't want to have all that stuff out there.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Ten millions sound like a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
There's a lot of money. Yeah. And he also to
to to know.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
He said there's a video that he has seen that
her lawyer, let you know, let him see, and it's
edited to make him look bad, to make him. Look, Oh,
the Piston Nick game is getting crazy. Carl Anthony Towlenge
is determined to prove that he is a tough guy.
He's shoving some people around looking like the old Pistons

(28:42):
next to the nineties right now, Rob.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
Yes, sir, But but I'm gonna say, yeah, what are
your thoughts on what do you?

Speaker 4 (28:48):
Yeah? I just I think he did the right thing.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
Rather than have ESPN have to do something, you step
away into distraction. It's not something you know, ESPN is
Disney Mickey Mouse, right, it's not something that that they
really want to deal with or have to and they
feel like, I think he did the right thing.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Step away, clear your name, you know. Hopefully this thing
will figure itself.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
Out either way, and then you know, come football season
four months, five months from now, you know what I mean.
Maybe it's it's it's cleared up and we know where
we're going.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
So I think he did the right thing.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
Whether ESPN told him to do it or whatever, it's
the right thing to do. So I think that's Shannon
and that standpoint. You can't work in this medium with
that over your head, you know.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
And and it's just also I think something to be
of note. I mean.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
This is also on top of you know, coming off
the slippage of the video that that happened not to
you know, late last year.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
And then did you see the other story about there
was another incident that Fox paid or whatever at there
was an alter k.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, So I think if you're I'm looking at it,
if they're if you're Disney, you're saying, all right, it's
not that we're firing you.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
It's not that we don't maybe even necessarily don't believe.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
You, but we just have to do our due diligence
right now, and it's best to have you step aside
not be a distraction also to our show that we
you know, we got a lot into. I mean, it's
probably it is the biggest show on ESPN first take,
So we don't need any distraction, We don't need anything,
you know, numbers going down with that. So uh yeah,
it is definitely one of those things. Will continue as monitor.

(30:33):
But man, it it escalated very quickly, dropped and then boom,
more and more news just kept coming in the last
twenty four to thirty six hours. So all right, we'll
keep you updated on it as you know, as we
know you'll know on the way shekel City. How to
rop fair one and two? One and two, one and two,
one and two? Or is he one and two a game?
We'll find out together?

Speaker 4 (30:51):
No way, no, how was I wanted to?

Speaker 2 (30:54):
There we go? I like that said it with his chest.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
It's the Odd Couple Robin Kelvin on a TV e's

Speaker 3 (31:05):

Speaker 4 (31:17):

Speaker 2 (31:21):
I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Wow, I'm gonna need a massage, some gatorade like this
it took everything.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Gig up.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Sometimes you want to go. I feel bad if I
just talk over this, so I gotta let it ride
out right.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
A little. Yeah, it's kind of hard to talk over this.
Here we go.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
Uh you want to where everybody knows your name?

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
It is The Couple Robin on an abbreviated edition of
The Odd Couple. Here, of course, on first day of Draft,

Speaker 2 (32:28):

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Two picks, predictions and reactions has come your way in
a matter of minutes here on Fox Sports Radio. Don't
forget you can simulcast it live on the Fox Sports
Radio YouTube page, so go do that as well. It's
time now for Shekel City.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Come two. Shekel City a base for Rob Parker's daily
Dix against the spread.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
All right, here we go last night two and one.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
My total is now one oh five and one ten
two and one. So that finally Kelvin broke that one
and there we go there hid I had going all right,
best bet Clippers minus five and a half at home
taking on the Denver Nuggets.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
Game three.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
I got the Knicks minus one and a half in
Detroit taking on the Pistons Game three, and then I
got Memphis plus nine and a half.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
I don't expect them to win. I expect them to
put up a fight to save their season and lose. Respectfully.
I know I'm asking for a lot.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
You are, Memphis, It's not them. It's just okay, see it.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
No, I get it. Memphis.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
Griffley's plus nine and a half, Knicks minus one and
a half, and the Clippers minus five and a half.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
And remember, Kelvin, I'm not telling you who to bet on,
which I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
And you know I almost had a hatch to the
whole three. But the Celtics, remember they got the give
up that Lake basket.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
It was eleven I needed ten and a half. Was
a spread.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Yeah, they were up by eleven and they gave up
the last basket to make it a nine point one.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Yeah, we got some some good hoops going on right now. Man,
we got Knicks up three on the Piston. So looking
forward to seeing how this one all shapes out. So far,
we've had some some good series. Obviously you mentioned the
Oklahoma City Thunder, and Memphis has just absolutely been not
so good.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Yeah, but we had a few so far in at
Denver Clippers has been good.

Speaker 4 (34:27):
That's tough, both of those games, right down to the wire, right.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Yeah, so it's some good one. So enjoying some hoops.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Of course, we got the draft coming up, and again,
like you and I were talking about, it seems like
there's not much out there except the Schadeur Sanders pondering
where will he go? Will he go surprisingly at three?
Will he drop to twenty one with the Pittsburgh Steeler?
Does he drop completely out of the first round?

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Now, yeah, that'll be say, Rob.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
There are some quarterbacks that gotta be hanging on by
the hair that like if money wasn't a factor, like
Trevor Lawrence is getting paid a lot of money, so
that's why you wouldn't get rid of him, or maybe
you just still believe in him. But I mean, and
I'm not saying you have to get your door over him,
but like after all this time, like I mean, okay,
I don't think he's a world beater. Bryce Young, who

(35:16):
I think is talented in a better situation than Carolina.
But I could see, you know, Carolina, maybe they want
to I could see them want to do something different.
We already know Cleveland. Who knows what's going on there? Right,
they still got Deshaun Watson. While the GM is talking
about I wish we didn't have to Deshaun Watson, He's like, man,
we messed that up, didn't we We overreached with that.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Yeah, you don't hear that that often from the owner's mouth.
That was incredible.

Speaker 5 (35:40):
Yeah, question to you, Yes, sir, I think even casual
NFL fans are interested in day one of the draft,
two and three?

Speaker 4 (35:49):
Are those all those four the diehards? Are you? Because
I don't pay attention past the first round.

Speaker 5 (35:55):
You know, I'll read the stories, but I'm not watching
after the first round.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
Yeah, I'll keep it.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
I'll keep it on, you know, in the background, you know,
kind of throughout the day, peek in. Like I said,
it just seems like normally historically, I even in the
second round, I'll know handful of like Okay, that guy,
I remember that receiver from LSU. Okay, oh yeah, that
linebacker that was from Ohio State. And it's just for
some reason not that way. And again maybe it's a
transferport where guys are just switching teams where you kind

(36:22):
of can't keep up with them, and that could be.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
I mean, we think about it.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
We've had so many star quarterbacks over the last five
six years that were at other schools. Just I mean,
look at Jalen Hurts, look at Caleb Williams, you know,
you look at a handful of Ohio State, or Joe Burrow.
You know, he goes from Ohio State to to to LSU.
I mean, so it's hard to kind of keep up.
And maybe that plays a role more than ever now

(36:48):
with nil where guys are like, shure, I'm out. You know,
South Carolina's gonna throw me a bag, Clemson's gonna throw
me a bag. And if I'm you know, a star safety,
a star linebacker. So maybe that plays a role. And
while we've we've lost touch exactly on some of the
other star players that would go in the second, third,
fourth rounds.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
But I'll keep an eye out, you know. Just but
to your point, the NBA.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Playoffs are here, NHL playoffs, and you know obviously baseball
back that those things are a little bit more interesting to
me this year for whatever the reasons may be.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
Yeah, I'm first round, Yes, the rest, just keep up with,
you know what I mean, I keep up with so
big night tonight will be interesting.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
I'm not expecting any fireworks. I'm hoping. I hope I'm wrong.
I hope people are shocked. You know.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
That's right, Hey man, it's gonna be a good of course.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Draft. Listen here on Fox Sports Radio, right, keep it low, LeVar,
Jenny Jay.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
They're gonna keep you updated and have a good time
while they're doing that as well. So stay with them
and we'll get back at you tomorrow. The fucking Freestyle Friday,
I said, flashback Friday.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
That's what I mean.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is coming up next.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
I never miss your radio show.

Speaker 7 (37:55):
I never hear it, so I never miss it.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Did you hear that? I mean the Draft Show.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
