Sports Radio NBA analysts he'll join us in about twenty

(01:40):
seven or minutes or so. Also last call, Shador was
not drafted by the Raiders, who are on the clock
right we have picked fifty eight.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yes, it doesn't look like it's gonna happen in the
second round, beck you. So they got a receiver, all right?
The pick is in Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Ray.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
You know they be loving brother quarterbacks. They already got
too many on them. May be loving brother quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Let's see if they steve over there, Steve, I'm just saying,
you know what, let's keep it rolling, keep the train rolling.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
But where are you on this?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
That's I know, I know you're surprised because you thought
he was going in the first round.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
I just is almost gone. I'm gonna tell you why.
Let me tell you why. I'm shocked by this. And
I mean it's sincerely every year the draft, and maybe
it's not fully the first round, but you get guys
start merging out of the blue Zach Wilson, Like, okay,
Iach was Will Levice. He goes all of a sudden
early second round, like, you start to get these names

(02:40):
of guys where you feel like it's a stretch Kenny
Pickens and oh you okay, I guess where these names
come from, right, I mean, I know thirty two teams
everybody needs a quarterback, and you start to get names
that come out the blue where people start reaching. And
every year, like we both have admitted, teams overdraft somebody
where you go, this guy is not good or teams
say this, he's a a sure fire, can't miss, and

(03:03):
he ends up being a miss. So this is not
a perfect science. But for what we've heard the last
year and a half, man Shador Sanders, you never really
know then into this year, Oh, Shador Sanders gonna be
a top five, top ten pick, surely a top fifteen pick,
and we heard that for most of the season. You
look at his productivity, right, he is the Big twelve
offensive player of the year. He's putting up big time

(03:24):
numbers with an offensive line everybody has agreed was terrible
because that they weren't able to build up their offensive line.
He duels with Kayleb Williams. He is obviously we hear
Tom Brady, raybil By. Man, he's a leader. He's one
of the hardest workers I've been around. This guy's got
the goods. And then all of a sudden, the last
three weeks ish he's like, oh no, he might be arrogant,
Oh no, he might be this, he might be entitled. Man,

(03:48):
his arm strength is like all of a sudden, accuracy
is well. Aska's guys are wide open. It's like starting
to hurt him wellas because he played with Travis Hunter,
as if people who go to Alabama go to Ohio
State aren't playing with a bunch of talented guys, way
more talent than he asked. So that's what made it
shocking that he wouldn't go in the first round. I'm
not saying he's the greatest prospect since filling the blank,

(04:08):
but that's what made it so shocking to me, is
that he now looks like shooting, might not even go
in the second round. And again, the last point too,
is just seeing everywhere he's gone from he was good
in high school, goes Jackson State. Okay, that's easy because
it's a swack. It's HBCUs not okay. He goes to Colorado.
They won one game in four and they went six
and they went nine, and I'm just like, I'm again,

(04:30):
I'm not saying this dude is Patrick Mahomes, but it
is shocking to me that he doesn't go to the
first round, doesn't go the second round, and people are
getting guys like Taylor shuck.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
And I was shucking.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I'm not surprised about the first round, second round. I'm
surprised that somebody just didn't use a.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
Pick, like why not, he's there, he's available, Hey, we
could use it back now, I get it, but this
it says something and many argument against people are thinking
that there's some diabolical NFL plan.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Deon Sanders is an all time great. There's no reason
to do anything that Dionne and should Doure. I just
don't buy into that.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
I don't think it's anything personal or some sinister conspiracy.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I just really really believe that they don't think he's
a quarterback of that talent for that draft that early,
like not that he can't be drafted, but not there.
And we've talked about this over and over about all
these other UH quarterbacks who didn't go in the first round.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
Right, Russell Wilson was really good.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Drew Brees is going to the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Second round, Deshaun Watson pre craziness early second round, he
was in national title games.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
This is what I'm saying. It definitely happens. I think.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
Another great example, I think the what's seemingly from the
style in which they play as far as accurate, mobile
but not the most mobile. Another example that would be
Dak Prescott. Dak Prescott won the fourth well you know
what I mean, who had a really good season. Was
it was like obvious in our face, Oh he's really good.
But people are like, ah, no, you know he's he's
in Mississippi state, so you know, I don't know. And

(06:09):
I think that to me is the the the example
of accurate play very well, put up numbers. Mobile, not
the most mobile arm, but not the biggest arm. I think,
you know, I could see him end up being Dak prescottish.
Maybe ain't gonna get to the sixty million bag, who knows,
you know, God bless me if he does. But where

(06:31):
it's like, oh shoot we stole him in the fourth
Oh shoot, this guy can actually play.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
All right, So here's the other part. Let's do this
what you got. So there were teams that passed up
on them.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
So I'm gonna ask you Giants, Stealers, Saints, Let's use
those three, right?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Okay, Cleveland? Should we Cleveland? They had a couple.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
They're just so screwed up rob with the 's what
I mean, like they don't until he's kind of gone.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Who knows.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
They're just like, dude, we're gonna just be great on
the defensive side of the ball and hope that winters games.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
All right?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
So the question is who will regret not taking Sanders?
Is it one of these three teams? So what do
we say, the Giants, Steelers or the Saints. Yeah, so
you had them, I think to the Saints, didn't you
think I had?

Speaker 5 (07:16):
I was just saying, that's a well, what else are
you guys doing? Why not build up something, have some fanfare,
a big name you know that could do something maybe
with the fans, Give the fans some hope. I know
they the Saints, but they need a little angelic hope,
you know, as a fan base. So that was that
in n Obviously everybody had the twenty first saying keep
an eye on that what will Pittsburgh do?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
You know it's for me. The answer. The answer for
me is going to be.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
And it's not so much to do but the collective
movement and decisions that have been made for the Steelers.
Meaning I just have no idea what the Steelers are doing,
Like I literally don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
What do you mean you don't know what they're doing?
I mean, all they're doing is waiting to see what
And I get that, But what if he says retiring?

Speaker 5 (08:00):
You get what I'm saying, like Roight, play this out honestly, man,
I wait, my family, I played a long time. My
body is just my body's tired. I just would you
act like the season starts next week? No, but season
starts in September.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Right.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
But so now that goes back to your question about Shadure.
I'm saying they don't draft Shador, which I'm not saying
they had to where he's again the return of John Elway,
But you also don't Mason Rudolph is your quarterback. So
I'm just kind of stuck on like you're waiting on
Aaron Rodgers, who has told you I don't know what
I'm doing yet, which is his prerogative.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
I'm not even mad at that.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I just think that there there could be you look
at other teams rosters, you would have to make a move.
I don't believe that if Aaron Rodgers says that he's retiring,
that they still would have to go out and get
a quarterback. As what I'm saying, I just don't think.
I'm saying the Steelers didn't have didn't think that Holly
of him hit which Shador Chador, because that would have

(08:52):
been a great safety net. That's what I'm trying to
say to you, right, is like, but that just makes
me go I didn't further, just like man.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
I, I don't know what they're doing, and that Mason
Rudolph is currently their starting quarterback. By the way, I
don't know Mike Green. He's from Marshall, he's an edge rusher.
But to see the joy in this young man's face,
you know, Like I said, I know we've been talking
about Shador and obviously Travis Hunter and even cam Ward
to an extent, but I just want to send some
love to these young players who are getting in the

(09:20):
dream of their life. For you, as a sports writer, dude,
you got to write in the city, eventually in the
city in which you're from. New York City's dude, that's awesome,
you know, for me, man to finally get on air
and be in radio, have my own show, to be
on finally be anchoring a morning news show in the
second biggest market in LA Sometimes I'm like, man, these

(09:40):
guys are living a dream. So I did want to
shout out these players who are getting drafted, even though
you know, we don't know a lot of their names.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Dude, that's an amazing feeling.

Speaker 5 (09:48):
The tears that this young man, Mike Green just shed
family there embracing this moment. It is awesome. So I
also want to make sure we, you know, acknowledge that.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
But I guess I.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Think when I think about this, I'm gonna think about
the Giants because they've had so many stinkers, because they
had Dave Brown. I don't know if you remember being
a little young Dave and and then you know Daniel Jones.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Kurt Warner didn't work for them, but he had that, Yeah,
he had, he had, he did. He had a bounce back.
But of course the Cardinals, but it was just closely
to winning the Super Bowl. Antonio Holmes makes that great catcher.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
That was a great super Bowl. That was a nice
little stretch.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
That was That was I don't know, like the Giants,
Like I said, I didn't believe the Giants were taken,
but it would have been so different for the Giants,
something different, a guy of that ilk with a little.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Flair and you know what I'm saying, Like it would
have made.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
The Giants like not so much old guard and old
and old Fogey's Giants.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Or obvious picks, you know, like, yeah, I totally get
what you mean, but I go I do go back
to the Saints. You know, a southern boy, you know,
obviously Texas, but southern boy, some swagger to him in
New Orleans, Derek carr Ain't it just it's just he's
just not it. He's obviously injured as well, So that

(11:20):
could have made some sense there as well, because what
exactly are the Saints doing, you know, moving forward and
you don't know what they are, you don't know what
they're doing. So I could see the Saints too, but.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
J Harvey running back.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Yeah, I mean next is Washington and obviously they love
Jane Daniels. He ain't going nowhere, So that that that's
Cayleb Williams. Look if you look at the next four picks,
Rob Washington, Chicago Chiefs, Eagles, Jade and Daniels Rookie of
the Year, Amazing Chicago, Kayler Williams. You know the number

(11:55):
one pick from gear Goo. They you know, they all in.
They got a new offensive coordinator and Ben Johnson. They
going to where like that's the guy. Chiefs Patrick Mahomes
has been the guy for the last seven eight years.
And then the Eagles they ain't hurting with Jalen Hurts.
So it looks like it be round three. What you
just said, first pick a round three is the.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Giants, Giants and Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Those are the three picks to start.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
Maybe maybe Cleveland turns around and say, you know what,
and then the Raiders are and then even the even
the Patriots. I know Drake Maye, but I mean, you know,
and then it's say, so okay, look as round three
the first was that six seven picks, it has to
be there.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
You got the Giants.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
They'll say it has to because you thought it was
gonna be in the second round.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Well, I'm saying that would make sense. If you're the Giants,
you double back and triple back now and say, oh, shoot,
we can get them Cleveland again.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Then you go to Vegas, we don't have its ninth
pick and still not pick them.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Let's say you skip New England and let's say you
skipped the Jags, then it's New Orleans again.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Right?

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Come on? Oh, the first six seven pigs of the
third round has to be Will the giant stealers are Saints?

Speaker 5 (13:06):
I have you coming back on Monday still talking about
it's gotta be today, right?

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Exactly?

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Will they rue the day that they did not draft
Shador Sanders? Any of these teams who would you say,
blew it the most or had an opportunity to grab
this young quarterback and did not do it and they
should have done it. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
It is The Odd.

Speaker 1 (13:29):

Speaker 1 (13:57):
I remember this. I was in the backseat. No, I was, no, no, no,
I was organizing.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
The water bottles that were back. Okay, I had a glizzy.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
This is what you are, that's what you get. You know,
a little too fast paced. I thought you'd be missing
slow jams all right. With that you would break dancing
back into the water. And I was doing, baby, Come
on in this cause let's break dance together. Okay, it
is the Okaba Robin Kelvin on the Fucky Flashback Friday,
brought to you by Dollar Shave Club, your place to

Visit Dollar Shape club dot com slash draft and use

That's Dollar Shape Club dot Com slash Draft. Robin and
I were talking about just who would regret if there's
a team right now, an organization you're looking at, say, man,

(14:51):
they absolutely should have got your door. Who would just
say that should have been eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Who we got, uh MJ in New Orleans. You're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. I think he's
number one in the Shador Sanders fan club. Yeah, MJ's up,
Dad first inn the MJ.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
What's going on after Friday? Man to the Brothers, Ben.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Ye, Bennet Bros. What up?

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Man? What up? What up? Hey?

Speaker 6 (15:20):
I'm not saying that any no fun League team should
have drafted Chador because the draft is a crap shoot,
especially for the same mediocre teams that's at the bottom
of the pack year in year out. Definitely, drafting players
on potential, I have to put on my ten fall coofyres,

(15:43):
especially when you drafting the Danny Dimes, the uh Will
Levis's and what was that last guy?

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Taylor shucking corner so I couldn't remember something?

Speaker 6 (15:54):
Yeah, cats, Like, all I'm saying is we talked, well.
I think you're in about interview somebody a little bit early,
talking about how it's a you know, some sport and
it's a business and you're trying to put people in seats,
and I think you know, he probably would do that
given a shot. And you got the co sign from
uh time terrific. Uh Rob's favorite quarterback.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Yeah, well they could have drafted them. They didn't draft them.

Speaker 6 (16:21):
So I don't know if people are really playing this
game or we're gonna try to get him later whatever,
But I just think it's real suspicious that.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
All right, all right, I knew you didn't have a car.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Let me ask you, MJ what what what's the end game?

Speaker 3 (16:35):
What is the conspiracy?

Speaker 4 (16:37):
What?

Speaker 3 (16:37):
What is what is what are the NFL game?

Speaker 1 (16:39):
By keeping your door not drafting him in the first
I just don't understand it, brother said brother Umar.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, that's my guy, brother Umar.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Doctor.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
We are in the the guy that you know, the
commander in in in Thief. You know, we are in
that particular time d I YadA, YadA, YadA. So let's
not say it's ever been so called fair.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Rob.

Speaker 6 (17:05):
I know you've always written, and you were a reporter.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
I'm a reporter, that's right, And.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
If you were writing, you were ripping.

Speaker 6 (17:13):
But yeah, there is some of that, know.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
What I'm just saying. No, but I'm asking you, h
for all these teams? Yeah, yeah, like like.

Speaker 6 (17:23):
It's just what's that Charlie Ward?

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Yeah, but a Charlie Ward thing and we can talk
about that. I mean, that's the real thing. I just
Charlie Ward also.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Said, if you don't draft me in the first round,
I'm not playing that that.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
Oh yeah, go look it up Google for me. Go
google it. I'll give it to go google it. That's
what he told them. I'm not if I'm not I'm
rember that. But I'm not if I'm not drafted in
the first round, I'm playing basketball.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
He might have felt that way his height was an
issue at that time, that that's really what it was.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
Thanks m J. Appreciate you anyway.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Melvin in Virginia, you're on the eye couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
What's up, Melvin?

Speaker 7 (18:06):
Nothing much? How you doing?

Speaker 3 (18:08):
What's up? Well?

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Good would?

Speaker 7 (18:10):
I was just saying, you know, I'm a huge jazz man,
and we not gonna regret not drafting the door because,
like I said, he's gonna be worth something in a
couple of years and we won't. We ain't gonna pay
him anyway. And then Dan and Dance, he is my
man could win if you look at it. He did
take us to the playoffs, and he was coming off

(18:31):
of a cl injury after we traded Sakon you got man.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
All franchises need a fan like you, because you over
here showing.

Speaker 7 (18:42):
Hey, I love my giants. I love my giants. I
love them because we get all the only team that
can say that we beat Tom Brady twice in the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Ain't no argument there. Hey, that's why Eli should have
been in the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
Not doing that with you today. Right, you're not gonna
break my piece. You're not gonna break.

Speaker 7 (18:58):
He's the only one that beat Tom Brady twice in
the Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
All right, Melvin, you was doing good till you said that,
and then you got Rob all excited.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Thank you, Melvin, appreciate you. All right? All right?

Speaker 5 (19:10):
So, yeah, so Rob showing me Charlie. Ward wasn't drafting
the NFL, primarily because he made it clear he would
pursue an NBA career if not selected in the first round.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, so they said, well, we
won't draft you at all. How's that? Yeah, I mean
he was a husband Trophy win us.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
I listen, I get. But one of the things about
having a back pocket plan is what I call it.
He had a back pocket playing you know, what I mean, Jetty.
First I'm going to the league, which first I.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
STI would have drafted him for his rights.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
You know what I'm saying, Just to happen, he sa Yeah,
who knows how great it could be a lot of players, man,
a lot of and a lot of brother quarterbacks from
the seventies and eighties and even nineties didn't get a
shot because they just weren't drafting brother quarterbacks back then.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Just keeping the bus.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Let's just keep it real, especially shorter one, shorter one, yes,
keep it real.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
With that.

Speaker 2 (19:54):

Speaker 3 (20:06):
It is the hot couple Robin Kelvin.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
We are, of course getting ready to talk to Olden
Polonese in just a moment here. But for over forty years,
tire raq has never has always been helping customers find
the right ties for how, what and where they drive
the ship fast and free back by free road has
a protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation.
Tire raq dot com is a way tied by it
should be all right, Olden Polonies, NBA veteran Fox Sports

(20:31):
Radio NBA analyst Olden Man, Uh no, we got the
NBA stuff.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
You've been keeping up with the NFL, drafted all a
little bit.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Of course.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
I keep up with every sport known to man, even curly, even.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Okay, he said, even curl right there. So how shocked
you should do? Or two rounds of coming gone?

Speaker 5 (20:47):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (20:48):
You saw him playing to you? What was your thought
on shore?

Speaker 4 (20:52):
I'm not shocked, only because when I did the show
with mart White a couple of days ago, I said that,
I say he's gonna have a Genosmith downfall and so,
and it's happening. So it's crazy. But again, six one,
I don't think he's the most athletic guy and so,
but from what I've been hearing, it's the fact that,

(21:13):
you know, I think people were kind of turned off
by him, you know, especially him and his dad. You know,
Dion was very braggadocious and everything else, and I think
it's almost like, you know, hey, there's a little payback,
which is childish in a way.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
There's too many but older than there are too many
gms and coaches, do you know want their jobs? You
have a talented player, you want to take them, and
I understand that that can be a turnof but it's
got to be about also his height. He doesn't have
a really strong arm, you know, like elite quarterbacks. There's
a lot of things. Yeah, there's a lot of things
that maybe he's just not you know of that ilk.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
And he's not. And that's why, you know, when you
saw it, like when the Giants made the trade and
I'm like, okay, maybe they might swing for him. New
Orleans came up and they you know, it's like so
we're seeing it play out in real time. It's like, hey,
we know you were talented, but you're not really as
tied as you think you are.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Well, he's going through that right now, trying to figure
it out. Cleveland has a pick, and the pick is
in here, third round sixty seven pick. We'll see because again,
Cleveland might mess around and say, hey, he's still here
and for all this time, we'll go we'll go get
him now.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
So while we're.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
Watching him that for the last two rounds.

Speaker 5 (22:28):
Right, I know, Hey, while we're while we're waiting on that,
let's get to the NBA.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Here.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
We got to Lakers and Timberwolves, Robin are kind of
split on this. I said, it's a must win for
the Lakers. I'll give you my reason, then I'll let
Rob give you his for the Timberwolves. For me, it's
the Lakers, I say, because listen, the longer you let
series go when you got an aging Lebron, that's the
worst thing for you.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
To me. If you can beat them up in five,
you get it done in five. You save time.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
And also, I know they're not happy with how they
closed out Game two. They won it, but they didn't
close it out. Well, that's what I say why I
think the Lakers they want to get this one. Rob
says Timberwalls for what.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Just the idea that you don't want to give back
home court that you got right by winning game one
older and then to come home and give it right
back to the Lakers defeats the whole purpose of it.
I think it's a big game if the Timberwolves are
trying to have the upset, I really do.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
You're absolutely right, Rob, it's way bigger for Minnesota. There's
for Lakers. To the point that you just made you
just went went to LA and match home home court advantage.
Don't give it back to the game. And so in
the Minnesota wins, that's a lot more profecial on the Lakers,
you know, with that game they play Game two, that

(23:41):
was all about whistles man. Unfortunately, and I hate, you know,
putting it on the referees, but these guys, they control
too much of the game. You know, it's too much
and so to me, you know. But these Minnesota Timberwolves, man,
they got you know, they got some guys. You know,
Mike County is a vet, you know, he's got to
just you know, work with the younger guys. But Anthony Edwards,

(24:05):
he's the He's he's the man right now, and he's
gonna have to just really, he's gonna have to have
like a breakout, breakout game, like a signature game. And
I think, you know, as we always say when you're
at home, it's not about the superstars. It's about the
role players. And if those guys come to play, I
think Minnesota should win the game.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
How about the Pacers? Did we fall asleep on them?
Because they're all right now. Game three is tied in Milwaukee.
The Bucks needed to just stay alive. They can't afford
to lose the first three games. In the series.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
But the Pacers are pretty good, older, aren't they.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
The Pacers are very good, you know. And again it's
not Halliburton. It's the antillary guys, you know, it's Materin,
it's you know, Mouse Turner. I mean he stepped up,
you know, big time for them. T J McConnell. It's
all those guys that are doing their child. But again,

(25:04):
any team Rivers is coaching, I'm suspected about it.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
That's funny.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Well, I mean, at this point speak for us. Yeah,
at this point. You you ain't wrong when you're right.
You ain't wrong when you're right. Older polities. Our guest
NBA veteran Fox Sports Radio NBA analysts on with the
Odd Couple, Robin Kelvin on a Fuggy Flashback Friday. I
want to go to a good game and really a
good series overall. I think it's been great to watch

(25:33):
a little throwback to when you were playing, even with
the Pistons.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
Reminds me of that era.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
You got the Nicks and the Pistons going at it,
man two to one in favor of the next two
point loss for the Pistons.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
What are you making this series?

Speaker 5 (25:44):
It's been good you know, you've been back and forth hard,
a lot of a lot of tension in the air.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
I've enjoyed it.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
I've loved it only for the fact that it's been
a flashback of sorts from back in the days. You're
absolutely right, and they have been allowing them to play.
And to me, that's what playoff basketball is about. You know,
I'm not saying they gotta be fis to cuts and
everything else, but the players. You gotta play through some
of those baby fouls and so and I watched it,

(26:12):
you know, call Anthony's Towns. You know, showed up the
last game.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
He sure did because he had what he had three
shots and no points in the second half of game two.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
Game two. Yeah, But the problem that I'm having not
so much the problem that I'm having, but the problem
that's been occurring is fact that Detroit should be kicking themselves. Yeah,
because game one, Game one, there's no way you allowed
twenty one twenty one zero run. I don't care who
it is, I don't care what. Somebody has to find

(26:45):
a way to put that ball through that hoop and
so to me, and then they won game two, and
the game three was really a toss up, and you know,
cal Anthony just really stepped up and he was the
deciding factor in that game. But you know, Detroit, hey,
you know, they ain't been in the playoffs in a while,
so I think all this is still kind of like

(27:05):
exciting to them in a way. I don't even know
if they believe they can win, but you know, they
do have a chance, and I think they just got
to really, you know, continue playing and just get smart
at the critical junctures. You know you don't have don't
get lazy with the basketball, don't just take a radic shot.
If they could do that, this thing will go seven.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
Well, well, I mean I be and Rob have a
bet on it. So I'm thinking so. And then at
that point, as you know, it's.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Yes, I do, I always pay out bad. And then
the other what was the other one?

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Your boy Kawhi, Yes, Kawhi, And just what he's been
able to do when he's healthy. Man, he is one
of the best out there.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Cop three, I forget Cop three.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
For sure, it's not even close. Do what you make it?
That series right now? They got they got blowed out. Yeah,
they got blowed out real quick for us. What do
you make of that? Series.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
All the Clippers right now are in control. I'll tell
you the reason, and it has nothing to do with
not Kawhi, not Harden, not Norman Powell, none of them.
Not Tyler Zubats is the key to all their success
because he's it's like he's out there, but it's like

(28:29):
you don't know he's out there, and then next thing
you know, he's got twenty and twelve. He's been steady
for so many years for this team and he's the
guy as he goes because he's big enough and strong
enough to wear on Jokics and that's massive for them
and so to me, I believe the Clippers will win
this series. You know, could Denver Thomas gonna bite him

(28:52):
a little bit because of the whole mic malone things.
So I don't think they're going to be able to
do it. And I think Joki is a little tired
from all. Still not healthy, Jamal Murray's still not fully
of you know, healthy. But I have a question for
you guys. Yeah, has anybody seen Michael Porter Junior.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Who right, Yeah, he's on the back of a milk cart. Man.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
I don't think he knows how good of you like?
You don't have to just be a three point shooter
like you can do other things. Michael Porter Jr.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
Hey, you know what I saw today? Actually there was
an article saying that the Cronks have no inclination of
getting mid Michael Porter Junior because he went to Missouri
and that's their school. And so I think Michael Porter
read that report said.

Speaker 5 (29:39):
I ain't got to show up nobody. I oh, man
made man. All the polities are God, thank you, brother.
We appreciate it as always.

Speaker 4 (29:48):

Speaker 8 (32:23):
I've been on the weather like a hawk. The showers
are not supposed to start until well after the A's
game tomorrow. But bring a coat, bring a little for door,
bring a scarf because it might be a little blustered you.
But hey, look nothing nothing. A couple of Comakazi shots
can warm up real quick. We just travel safe, brother,
you just travel safe. My man.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
I just thought about the thought of you and a door.
Is that your life?

Speaker 4 (32:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (32:46):
Yeah, use your baseball baseball. I'll be I'll have a hat, definitely,
no doubt.

Speaker 8 (32:50):
Hey, but I really called it, ask man, Look, Marcia
already up here, she already landed. She's waiting for you. Brother,
You get up here safe and cozy.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
Forget don't well, you know he might not need it,
you know they they're up there. But let me tell
you something. Let me tell you something, Sean. He made
a pack with her. If we look up and we're
in our fifties, were making we don't have anybody. I
don't have anybody. It's gonna be us.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
We were eighteen nineteen pack and look where we are,
Look where we are.

Speaker 8 (33:23):
They're gonna end up. They're gonna end up, you know,
retiring somewhere in Florida, because that's where New Yorkers go
to pass and get them a nice little fuzzy poodle
and then they're gonna name it Rob Park of the Third.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
I'm trying to tell him a quick hey, look just
right now, unbelievable. Just go a little older, Rob, That's
all I'm gonna say. Just go see them more at
the ballpark, my man. All right, Sean, is just is
the season. Just go a little older Rod?

Speaker 4 (33:47):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
This is from I just want to be just tweet
from Jamel Hill, which I think it's spot on.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
It's just about the Shoot Door thing.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I don't buy the reasons she Door wasn't drafted in
the first round is because of Dion. He been by
NFL standards that that would seem really silly. I have
never gotten the impression Dion was dislike around the NFL.
What am I missing something? I totally agree with her.
Dion is not disliked.

Speaker 5 (34:13):
You might see a little envious or something, But I
don't think people dislike that.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
I don't. I don't believe that that's the reason should
do it. Didn't.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
I just said that earlier. I said, I can understand. Yes,
there's gonna be fanfare and popping stands, but I said, dude,
if they if you think he's that guy.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
You're rolling with it. Somebody said, like LaVar Bos, I said,
and what exactly happened? Lonzo Ball?

Speaker 4 (34:32):
Way?

Speaker 3 (34:32):
What Ryan number two? LaMelo Ball?

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Wait?

Speaker 3 (34:36):
What number two? Wasn't it?

Speaker 5 (34:38):
So my point is, if you're talented like that and
then a team believes.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
In you, Bill dagg It, that's my boy. We're gonna
take Lavaro.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
We went didn't draft him, so obviously not enough teams
really think that should do work.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Is his first second round talent.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
And I'll keep leaving with that, and I'll keep rolling
with the ball brothers. Leangelo didn't get drafted, meaning they
didn't just just do because they like LeVar something. My
point is it can help, it can add a little
bit to it. For sure, we're not we're not naive
to that fact. But it automatically doesn't mean you are drafted.
OFFICI that you are talent will also rule the day oftentimes,

(35:14):
So we're gonna have an interesting uh rest of this
third round weekend. You two enjoy Sacramento. Man tell her
I says, she got the same name as my mom.
I see it. That's beautiful. I mean I met my
bad Sean. When you see Sean, That's what I meant.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Dude. We'll see the ballpark on your ig fie up there.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
Yeah, nice intimate gathering. I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
I'm gonna do some interviews while i'm there, have a
nice dinner with my friend and his wife up there, Sacramento,
tom So, I'm looking forward to enjoy the Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon is coming up next.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
I never miss your radio show.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
I never hear it, so I never miss it. Did
you hear that
