Speaker 1 (00:09):
Vieh shoots. It's time. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show.
I'm your host from Shooter, and it is Monday morning,
which means our dear friend Garrett Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett,
are you there?
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Bobby? Hello, it's been a minute, it's been it has
you know what. I decided to take what your people
love to take holidays. I just you know what. I'm
just gonna go on a life of holiday, as Madonna
would say. But yeah no, I just scheduling Justin' matchup.
And now we are no longer two ships passing in
the night, are on the same wavelength and the same track,
(00:45):
And here we are our Monday. How was your weekend?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Lovely, lovely, lovely. I have a great gig. I really
do have a great gig. Sometimes you have to pinch
yourself that you live the life that you live and
don't take it for granted. A lot of my friends
sometimes don't smell roses, so I forced myself every day
to smell the ruses. So a lovely, lovely weekend. I
saw a ton of movies, conclaim. I saw Amelia Perez,
(01:10):
all these Oscar nominated movies. My favorite movie the year,
though it's still wicked. I love it.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
But you know what I mean, if you're watching all
these awards, and I'm sure we could talk about it later,
Ariana Grande not winning anything, but is that you think
that's a sign where she could just walk away with
the Oscar even though everybody else you know is voting
the other way.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
You know, it's interesting because I think your expectations changed
during the process. So before the Oscar nominations were announced,
nobody thought Ariana Grande was going to be nominated, and
then when she was nominated, her team her friends were like,
oh my gosh, you're always now going to be an
Oscar nominated actress. However, after a few weeks, that's not
(01:51):
good enough. We do this in our own lives. Then
you want to win the awards. So it's amazing how
you keep changing the goldposts. So I'm told, initially just
been nominated was enough. They did not think she would
be They were not even really sure that the movie
would be musicals a little down upon like gotta say two.
There's a little bit of a snub value in award
shows where the more successful the film, the less likely
(02:13):
you are to win. And this is a seven hundred
million dollar movie. This is the biggest movie in that
whole category, and so that might be working against it,
you know what, they're regardless if Ariana wins, I don't
think she will. But regardless, she has now cemented herself
as a movie star.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Is that why we never get nominated for awards? Because
we just don't want it to go to our heads.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
We're too big, big, which is too big, Garret, which
is a good thing.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
We don't win awards, you know.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Too big. Okay, let's jump in to the show. What
time is it, my friends? It is tea time. So
the Blake Lively story, which we've been talking about now
for weeks, has got even nastier because a media outlet,
a very important media outlet, the Hollywood Reporter. This is
considered what we call in my business, a trade It's
not an entertainment publication. It's really a true trade magazine,
(03:01):
a trade outlet that is directed towards people who work
in the business.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
It's very insite. The New York Times. Yeah, it's like
the equivalent of New York Times for people that work
on the stock market or work on these high profile jobs.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yes, like a Wall Street journal if you work on
the stock market, you're going to read the Wall Street Journal.
And so this is for people in the business, which
is probably why Blake Lively is so angry about it,
because this is talking to her people. This is not
talking to her fans. This is not talking to people
who bought a ticket necessarily to see the movie. This
is talking to people who are appeers. They probably got
(03:35):
invited to a screening. If you read the Hollywood Reporter,
you probably didn't go on a Saturday and buy a
ticket like I did. You probably got invited to a
big screening. You're part of the inside of Hollywood. While
she's on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter and now
she's absolutely furious about it, saying it is outrageously insulting.
(03:56):
So it is a visual. It's not a photograph. It's
like a cartoon. It's a drawing of Justin Baldoni and
Blake and both of them look quite powerful in this
picture if you ask me, she is holding a sling shot.
And now her spokesperson is saying the Hollywood Reporter should
be ashamed of itself, and it goes on to say
(04:19):
that the cover is sexist. I didn't take that away
from the cover. For me, the cover was very dramatic,
It's very over the top. But I would argue this
law case is now very over the top too, And
so I think this is what everybody is talking about
in Hollywood. We found out just just today that Lawn Michaels,
who's the big boss at Saturday Night Live, all he
(04:42):
was caring about at that big anniversary show was Blake
Lively and Justin Baldoni. Everybody is obsessed about it. Every
time I go out for a drink, not with my friends,
but with people in the business, the only thing they
are talking about is Blake and Justin. And now the
Hollywood reporter, I think is reflecting that I I just.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Hate giving Justin that much time, you know, And I'll
stand on this this hill. I'm team Blake, I'm team Ryan.
I think, uh, you know, just because the movie didn't
do well and you start, you start pointing fingers and
and you know, woe is me and four hundred million dollars. Please,
Justin Baldoni, you were you were nowhere on anybody's scope
(05:21):
until you started, you know, complaining, Uh, you know of
such thing. You know, it's a it's such a such
a loser move for for him to oh whoe is
like do be quiet? Like just because you're not on
that level. And I think it goes deeper from me personally,
where I think it's people just want that success without
(05:42):
having to earn it, you know what I mean? Like
they he wants he wants to be on the level
of Ryan, he wants to be on the level of Blake.
I'm sure he wants Hugh Jackman in his cell phone
and and uh, without putting in that work and without
putting in fifteen twenty years like they did. He's just
gonna he's gonna take the easy way out. With a
lot of people do these days of oh, I'm suing
(06:02):
you for four hundred million dollars?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Well, how did you feel though about her taking the
first shot? So people in the business, and I think
the Hollywood report of the images she's with the sling shot,
she's the first one that sued and said the four
hundred million dollars is his response to her lawsuit, Like
she came first.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Garrett, Well, she came first, but the stories were the
fact that what was going on. Yes, she came first
with the lawsuit, but he came first with the smear campaign,
or as a New Yorker's the smear Campaignez. And you know,
being a former publicist where your job is not to
be in the forefront of things. So his publicists at
(06:41):
the time, before they got called out were doing the
great thing. They were doing their job of staying you know, underneath,
you know, you know, behind the trees and in the bushes.
While the rest of the world could think about it.
Before those lawsuits, the world was Blake Lively's a diva,
She's a Where did that come from? It came from
Boaldon these publicists that we're doing all that work that
(07:02):
we've seen in the text massacre of let's ruin Blake
before she can come out and ruin Justin.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Or maybe it came from the fact that Blake is difficult,
Like I've heard these stories for a really long time
that Blake's not the easiest. We've often heard rumors about her.
So this is what makes this story so complicated. It
is not black and white for me. He I've actually
heard really nice things about it and Blake for the
last ten to fifteen years. I've heard she's she's very, very,
(07:32):
very difficult.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Let's be a voice note at two am like that,
Please I am. I don't care if I was Ryan,
like if I was if I was married to Blake
and I get a voice note from from from a
from a guy speaking like that, Hey Blake, I know
at two am. Any any just think of a normal person.
You're in bed and you get a voice note. You're
(07:54):
laying next to your husband, Rob, you get a voice
not from a coworker.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
I would not say. I'd say, what is going on here? However,
if he said to me, she just sent me a
message at one fifty nine and I'm responding, which is
what now we are finding out happens to literally take
somebody at two am out of the blue. Bizarre. However,
if you send me a message at one fifty and
I was up and I responded at too, she was
(08:18):
the one that reached out in the early hours.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yes, if I text you, I expect a text. I
don't need a five minute voice note of you Gon.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yes. If the text is high, Rob, how are you?
But if the text is very deep, if the text
is very disappointed, then my response is probably going to
be as large as yours. So this is something we're
going to find out about these two as they go
to court exactly what happened. Although I've gotta be honest here.
Initially I was team Blake. I like Blake, I like Ryan,
I like celebrities. I always picked the biggest star. However,
(08:52):
I think the tide is turning, and he's got the
receipts because not only was he the co star, he
was the director and the producer. He's got every piece
of footage, every piece of tape from that entire movie,
and he's going to release it all.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
And this is why I think she might have it
because and this is why she's the bigger star where
he's coming out and as they see in the business,
trying to get in front of it, you know what
I mean, putting up the website, putting out clips to
the point where the judge is like, hey cut it out,
you know, putting out text messages, putting out the voice notes.
She hasn't really the only thing she has put out
is through the legal process.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Well that's that's right, Triegara. She went first in the
New York Times. The first big story is there's lots
of pettiness. There's lots of pages items, lots of leaks
about Blake being a diva. But the first big story
that appeared about this was a leak to the New
York Times and it was a two thousand word expose
into the world of how awful Justin was. Now we're
(09:48):
going to find out if Blake planted that story. And
let's remember we've done this a long time. Garrett Blake
has her own publicist. And let me tell you this.
I know Blake's publicist. She's tough. She isn't a she
is in a soft flower. So Blake and Blake and
Ryan they share a publicist and it's one of the
best in New York. And may I say she's a
(10:10):
really tough person, which brings us to my pole question
of the day. Blake is now furious over what she's
calling a sexist Hollywood Reporter cover. Do you think it's sexist?
Have a look at the cover? Do you think it's sexist?
Or do you just think she's furious that now she's
on the cover of the Hollywood Reporter. Because everybody in
Hollywood is talking about this story, and the tide is turning,
(10:33):
at least in Tinseltown. Hey go vote on our Twitter
page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page is naughty
gossip and be sure to check back to Maraua to
hear your results. Hey, Garrett, what are you working on?
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Well? Ben Affleck is back on the market. If you're
on Riya this weekend, yes, that was Ben Affleck probably
in there. It's gonna be crazy. So he's finally finalized
the divorce with Jennifer Lopez, which it feels like, it
feels like as long as the Baldoni Lively situation where
it feels like they've been divorced you know, forever, you know,
(11:08):
but but they're they're finally done. Ben Affleck, of you
know fifty two is back casually dating. You know what
does that mean? I don't know? Is it like you know,
is it Matt Damon going, Hey, I got a friend.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
I don't think that's getting devoted this messages?
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Well, no, no, but but you know what, Matt's a
good friend. And I realized this the other over the
weekend too, Like Matt will support you, like no matter
how crazy that the idea or the world might be.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Against you, he was always.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Have his back no matter what wrong as he might
feel and seem, Matt Damon will always be there. You know,
He's not filming right now. He's just hanging out in
the office, you know, just hanging out with the kids
here and there and you know, checking in with Jennifer Garner.
Do you think they get back Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
I hope not. I hope not. Ben's triple like Ben
is trouple with a capital tam makes me laugh, he
makes me smile. Would if I was friends with Ben,
which I'm not. I've met him several times, I'm not
friends with him. When I worked with j Lo, I
was around Ben a little bit. But would you set
Ben up with a friend of yours? I'm gonna say no,
I wouldn't do it. I wanted to fight happiness, but
(12:10):
not with my friends.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Well, you know, maybe like if you're looking back to
the Matt Damon, like if I was Matt Damon, and
you know, it's like, you know what these two matchup?
You know they they I can see them together, you know,
like could.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
You see with him that if you're if you're bad,
I could only see Bethanny Frank call or maybe I'm
trying to think of disasters, like who would.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Know about disasters? But you know what the other thing
was funny. I was thinking and speaking of Rayah, and
so you know Ben has a nineteen year old and
a sixteen year old, maybe the nineteen year old at best.
You gotta think one of Violet friends is somewhere maybe
connected to Raya. And it's gotta be weird.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
That it's a little way we should put out Riya
as a dating site for the early Like it's like
match dot com if you're really.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
If you haven't reached, yeah, it'd be we need.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
To be going scrolling through a dating app and there's
Ben Affleck and I tell you what I would swipe.
I'm not sure if it's left or right, but I'd
swipe good.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
You'd take it? Just to take the date.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Is too messy for me. I love other people's drama,
not my own. Okay, moving along, talking about drama. We're
actually a really good pr move here. They're bringing mac
suits and so the last night is it great? So
Suits was a modest hit, and then during the pandemic
after Meghan had married Harry, we should point out everybody
watched Suits. I did two and it was really good.
(13:31):
I missed it the first time. But the reason it's
a hit is not just Meghan. It's a really good show.
So now there's clever devils that the network have decided
let's bring this back and let's actually put this on
network TV. Well the creator of the show, and this
is what I love. He is saying that there is
an open invitation for Meghan to return, whenever she's.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Been open since the show lost her. You know, like
that's it's the same invite. They just changed the date
on it. I mean, let's be really, could you do it?
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Could she possibly just a cameo?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
She might, I could see a cameo, and you know what,
like and I think we do this with all first
shows too. I watched the first show last night on
NBC nine o'clock. Good timing on a Sunday night, especially
nothing else really going on. It's still that those first
few shows are going to be the setup show, you know.
And I could see it too, the same reason why
Probably Suits wasn't as successful. Plus it was on you know,
(14:26):
a different network under the NBC umbrella before it went
to Netflix, where it was kind of kind of like slow.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
And everybody hits, but he hits. I'm watching The White
Lotus on a Sunday night at nine o'clock and it's
a bit slow at the beginning. I'm sticking with it
because watch never bottom miss keeping me there, but I'm
sticking with it or front or front. Okay, quickly before
we go to break, what's going on with Justin Bieber.
He's snapping at Papa Ranzi. He doesn't look so good.
(14:52):
What are you hearing?
Speaker 2 (14:53):
All right? So Justin Bieber, it's weird. It's it's almost
like it feels like it's a hit or miss day
with Justin Bieber. Times will hear his marriage is doing great?
There it's not doing great. He's doing great. He's not
doing great. He has music, he doesn't have music, you know,
but I think Bieber is just he's had enough with
just paparazzi being disrespectful. So there is Over the weekend
(15:14):
he was out at the Beverly Glenn Deli, which which
is kind of cool to see, you know, someone like
a pop star going to it. You know. The photographer
attempted to thank Bieber as he made his way to
the car. Uh and uh, you know, Bieber stopped in
his tracks and fireback and he goes, why are you thanking me?
And which is which is? Which is? True, like it
(15:37):
kind of like is a weird thing. Uh, you know,
and he said he made it clear that he wasn't
in the mood. Uh and and and again you get
that's the job of a paparazzi. You're supposed to get
him on these exact movements, where then it could be
turned into literally anything of Bieber. Biaber's upset Bieber didn't
get a good bacon, egg and cheese. Bieber, Bieber's on drugs,
you know. But he goes, please, don't thank me. That's disrespectful.
(15:59):
When you thank me, I'm not asking you to be here.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
And you know that's what he was annoyed about. Yeah,
it wasn't that he thanked him. It was just annoyed
that there was photographers. Some people would argue, this is
what the prices of being as famous as just then
let me give you advice. I've worked with a lot
of celebrities. If you see a photographer, you stop your
smile and you say thank you. And if a photographer
is nice enough to say thank you to you, well,
anybody today, if anybody says thank you to you today,
say welcome. Then move on with your life. We don't
(16:25):
need to turn it into this drama. Okay, we're going
to take a quick break and we will be right back.
Welcome back to the Ludi bin Nischa'm your host up
shooter with idea friend Garrett Vogel. Hey Garrett, let's get
to the polls. Lasher we talked about Kim Kardashian is
not taking ten percent of Northwest that's her daughter's mark
pudding Korean. Now her mom, Chris Jenna, is still taking
(16:48):
ten percent of Kim's Is she a good mom? Or
is this bad business? Would you take ten percent of
your kid's income if you were the manager? And we've
got to say here, christid great thing. She's There's a
lot of managers who just take the money and do nothing.
I know several of them. They do nothing, particularly family members.
You're just paying them because they're your family. However, Chris
(17:10):
actually is a really great manager. She's worth that ten percent.
She's the brains behind the operation, Kim. Is she the
brains behind it? I'm not so sure she's not gonna
take the money. What do you think? Split fifty to fifty.
Fifty percent think this is a good mom move, fifty
percent think it's bad business.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Fifty those other fifty want the money.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
I'd like to take the money too, depends how successful.
Now it's gonna be. Okay, don't forget to vote on
today's poule. We'll go to our Twitter page. Had naughty nice?
Rob about facebook page is naughty gossip and me shure
to check that. Timarauat to hear your results are now? Oh,
I love a rekindled romance and nicest of the day.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Well, it looks like Tom Brady is looking like, you know,
back to finding love. You know, he's kind of gotten
over Giselle and has done allegedly, but it looks like
he's rekindling a romance with Irena Shrink. I shall never
see I can never see her name.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Is it good? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (18:01):
So, according to page six, they've been spotted together and
you know, they wanted to reconnect see where things go.
They started dating each other again and they've been talking
on the phone and planning a trip together. I gotta
think like you and I Rob, like, if we plan
a trip, it's you know, it's like, hey, let's you know,
let's let's go to the Jersey shore. These guys are
(18:22):
talking about probably going off of a yacht monitary.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
It's protaally fabulous, but it's still a trip with someone
you have a crash on, and so I like this,
and trips are really good because you really get to
know somebody. If you share a hotel room with somebody,
you get to know them. So I wish them the best.
They're both single, they're both gorgeous. They're actually both quite
nice people. I've spent an evening with her once since
she's a lot of fun. She's cheeky. She's very cheeky
now if you don't really think you know her. She
(18:48):
was with Bradley Cooper. She has a child with Bradley.
I sometimes think love can be better the second time around.
Good luck, Let's do our naughties of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty.
Legal action might be taken and against Prince Harry if
the Royal lied on his US visa. So, according to insiders,
legal action against the Duca Sussex will take place if
(19:08):
it's proven that he lied about his past drug use
on his US visa application. Sources are saying Harry should
be very worried now if you remember in his Bombshell book.
In his Bombshell Book, he discloses that he used drugs. Well,
if he did not disclose that on his US visa application,
he's going to be in a lot of trouble. What
(19:30):
I do like about this is you can't have one
rule for a prince and another rule for the rest
of us, and so we've all got to play by
the rules. That's right. You get a rubb rubb, you
get a rub by failing to prepare, you were preparing
to fail. Come prepared. Even our silly little podcast that
(19:52):
we do each day, we do the work. We come prepared,
come prepared, and the chances of you failing are a
lot less. Say that is it for today. Thank you
so much for listening to the Naudy but Nice with
Rob and Garrett Shire production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget to
subscribe on the Irate Radio a Apple podcast wherever you listen.
Leave us a review if you can. They really do
(20:13):
help her remember altogether. Now, if you're going to be
nordn you go take care of a breast part.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
But nice with Rob
