Speaker 1 (00:12):
It's time.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Level.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Welcome to the not even nice. You have your house,
Rob Shooter, and it is Monday, which means our dear friend,
Garrett Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett, how are you, Bob?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Hello, good morning? Sorry, it's all echoe. I'm on location
in San Antonio, Texas.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Oh can we ask what you're doing there? Is it
a secret mission? Mission impossible? Or can you spell?
Speaker 3 (00:35):
I wish that would be very sexy of me to
be doing that right now. No, I'm actually speaking at
a conference. As you may know, I'm a Type one
diabetic and I'm speaking at a national conference later on tonight.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
So good, good for you. They are lucky to have you, Garrett.
You back tomorrow. It's just one day trip.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Wait back on the flight tomorrow. The conference is tonight.
So I am on the plane tomorrow morning.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Back to you. Back into your warm Rob Shooter.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
There waiting. They are waiting, waiting, waiting for you. Okay,
let's jump into a show. What time is it, my friends?
It is tea time. Big story at the top of
the show. So this exploded over the week end and
it's really picked up speed today. I thought he might disappear,
but because of everything that's else that's going on. You'll
understand that in a minute. It really is not going away.
(01:22):
So Anna Kendrick, who I really like, seems to be
throwing a little bit of shade at Blake Lively. So
she was on the red carpet of their new It's
a highly anticipated sequel, another simple favor.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
She's well, by the way, scoring very well online.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
It is good. I want to see this one. She's
reuniting with Blake Lively. Well, a reporter from Entertainment Tonight,
and that's very important. This was not a fan, this
was not some shady photographer or some blogger. This is
Entertainment Tonight, who are known as a really soft outlet.
So they simply asked her how did she feel about
(01:59):
working with Blake Lively? Again, very easy question and instead
of the usual Hollywood fluff, Anna Kendrick simply responded with
three words, Garret, just three words, and she said, oh,
you know, before trailing off, what do you think?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
See?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
So are you not saying that you should be or
you should watch every move of Anna Kendrick, But knowing
her personality and her her sarcasm, she is very sarcastic
in many of sense. So I could just see, you know,
very vaguely, and plus it's a very quick answer. She
walked away, you know what I mean. It gave her
the It gave her that out to be like, oh,
(02:38):
you know, and then that's it. You know, Like I
think it was more Anna being sarcastic, but I could
see how it gets taken for how we are, how.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
We were reporting it on you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me just give you a little
bit of contrast here. So Blake was asked the same question,
how did it feel about reuniting with Anna Kendrick? And
we know that Blake can be very sarcastic too. We've
seen her in interviews with different reporters, and she said
the best and she said, I'm so so happy. Well,
people are immediately dissecting now this response, wondering what is
(03:13):
going on there. Was she just being her usual sarcastic self,
or because this was Blake's first big moment since all
the drama with Justin Baldoni and her movie, you would
think you would think that the PR people had had
a meeting about this. I'd worked a million red carpets
and so I remember being on the red carpet with
j Lo after she broke.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Up with Ben.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
We did a lot of training, We did a lot
of preparation. We talked about how we're going to handle this.
This question is going to be asked, and it's interesting
it wasn't asked on the Red Carpet to Blake, so
they all got prepared to answer justin Baldoni questions, or
at least Blake's legal issues. If I was working for
one of those TV shows on the Red Carpet, I
(03:57):
would have been told by my boss, if it was
a good boss, you gotta bring up Blake and how
she doing and the legal issues. And so the fact
that that wasn't the question that through Anna. It was
a simple question like what's it like Reunited? And she
didn't really pass that. She failed that question, And so
I know there was a lot of preparation behind the
(04:18):
scenes that went into this carpet. They were really selective
about what press they allowed there. They did it in
Texas for a really smart reason, because it's outside of
New York and LA where all the nosy people like
me and maybe you, Garrett are so they had to
fly people in. So this question should have been really
simple I'm told the movie company are mad now because
entertainment tonight they asked a good question, what's it like reuniting?
(04:40):
This wasn't about justin. It's not a bad question, and
Anna didn't really pass it. And today we're not talking
about the movie, or we're not talking about Blake looking
gorgeous and back out there with the big smile on
her face, which she was. Blake looked gorgeous, and she
handled all this like a pro. It wasn't Blake that
was the It was Amat to everyone's surprise.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Yeah, you know, and and and it's interesting too because
you and I have both been on carpets, on both
sides of the carpet, on the carpet and behind the stanchions.
And you know what it's like when a publicist was like, listen,
keep it to keep it to the movie to movie,
you know exactly two questions quick, and you don't want
to upset them. You flew all the way to saying
it to Austin, Texas. Uh, you know, on the movie's dime.
(05:26):
The last thing you want to do is piss them off.
And I don't think Et did that. Probably is that
they're the response that Anna Anna gave pretty much opened
the floodgates to interpretation for everybody to to just assume.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
I can't believe as you're right. She's quite sarcastic. She's
very funny. I like her a great deal. I've met
her a few times and I really did like it.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
She still played the.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Cups cool the restaurants, I take the cups and.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Cool, cool cool. I'm really really liked her, But this
was maybe the wall instance when sarcasm wasn't going to work.
Like I would have said to Anna, there's only one
question that's going to be a little bit tricky, and
that is Blake and Justin, and I would suggest you
don't make a joke. You just say I love Blake
(06:16):
or something very sort of dismissive. It doesn't have to
be deep, it doesn't have to be meaningful. But she
could have just said I can't wait to be working
with Blake. It was lovely being back with my friend.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Do you think she sent Blake a text after with
that emoji where you put your hand on front of
your Facebook. I'm like, I didn't meet you know, start
explaining yourself. I didn't mean anything, that was just it.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
She didn't if it was a mistake, then I think
she probably is mortified. But if there's more to this,
and if this is an instance a sort of a
crack in the damn where maybe we're finding out more
about what people really do think about Blake, then I
don't think she would send that emoji. The hard thing
(06:58):
here and I know that we're on different different sides
of this debate here we are, but I feel as
if Anna has really made this explode in a way
now because people that have doubts about Blake, and there's
a lot of people are now saying, oh gosh, this
wasn't just one movie. She's difficult to work with, And
so I feel bad for Blake now because that one answer,
(07:21):
just three words from Anna, and now this debate has
really blown up.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Do you think it's one of those things?
Speaker 3 (07:27):
And you know how celebrities are when you and I
believe like, hey, they should be taking some time off
to kind of like you know, feed into the background
just for.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah, I think this is all about it, But you've
got a new movie out to promote, Like she didn't
pick the date of this movie release. Now we should
point out that the director has put the breaks or
at least tried to put the brakes on the rumor
that nod Blake and Anna are feuding somebody on YouTube,
on Instagram, on x on social media, read everywhere. Really
(07:58):
lent into this and said that it's clear that Anna
never ever wants to work with Blake ever again. And
Paul the director, he jumped in and said, you're wrong,
that is not the case. But what do you think? Naughty? Is?
It brings us to our pole question of the day.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Anna think I know what they think?
Speaker 1 (08:15):
I don't know. You could go either way, Anna Kendrick, Well,
it's not about Blake here. I know what I think
about Blake. Maybe you did, but this is about Anna.
Anna Kendrick delivered what I think it's a shady response
when asked about reuniting with Blake. Is Anna trying to
tell us something yes or no? This is about Anna,
not Blake. What do you think here? It wasn't the
(08:38):
best move. If you want to get rid of this rumor,
if you want to move along, what do you think? Hey?
Go vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob
Our facebook page is Naughty Gossip and be sure to
check back to a row here your results. Hey, Garrett
what are you working on.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Well, we were just talking about j Low. Let's dive
back into that relationship with Ben Affleck and j Loo.
And it appears that Ben Affleck, as we talked about
last week, living his best life. You know, he's happier
than ever in years, which you know you kind of think,
like how miserable was he, you know, when.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
He was married and dating j Loo.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
So you know, according to page six that you know,
the he's feeling lighter than ever. Ben Ben hasn't you know,
really seen Jlo that much, only when it comes to
you know, the kids, you know, school functions and pretty
much it. But uh, you know, he's in a better
mood lately, excited about the next chapter of his life.
(09:38):
You know, there's no hard feelings towards uh, towards j Loo,
which is weird because you're it seemed like he was
the one that wanted out of the relationship, not her,
you know, so like why would there she should have
no hard feelings towards him.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
That's just me.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
But you know, he really doesn't see a point of
remaining close friends with Jennifer. But I mean it almost
feels like deja vus, you know, right, like oh, we're
not gonna be close.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Friends, and then look where we ended up, you know,
a couple of years ago.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
So hey, I can see them, I can see them
rekindling down the road.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Yeah. I thought this was like a little bit of
a cruel PR dig that didn't need to happen. Ben
did not just suddenly need to announce that he's happier
than ever. His friends didn't really need to talk about this.
He's not promoting a movie, he's not out there with
a new project. It just came out of the blue.
And so in my PR experience, when this is done,
it's just spiteful. Obviously, after you've broken up with somebody,
(10:31):
take a moment, stay out of the press. You don't
need to be putting out statements like this. This is
basically saying I'm happier without Jennifer Lopez. That's what he's saying.
When you say I'm happier than ever and you just
got divorced, that divorce isn't a coincidence. That divorce is
the pivotable, pivotal moment, and that moment is what you're
getting the digger. I thought this was a bit of
(10:52):
an unnecessary dig, which tells me, at least in my
own experience, that he still cares. When you want to
get back, when you want to be spiteful, when you
want to be mean, it means I actually do still care.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
The revenge body where you go to the gym right
after you break up, you get a new haircut and
a new book, and just to not for yourself more.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
To be like, hey, look what you're missing out.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
That's what it is. That's what this feels like a
little bit. Then, Okay, moving along, some sad news here,
but really enlightening. We have finally found out what happened
with Gene Hackman and his wife because their autopsy results
have been revealed. So in a chilling press conference in
New Mexico, officials confirmed the Gene's wife's cause of death
(11:35):
was HPS, are rare and often fatal virus transmitted by rodents.
It's believed that she died first and then a few
days later, seven days later, Gene packed passed away. Now
what's really haunting here is now the authorities believe that
Gene was alone with his wife's body for seven days.
(11:58):
He did have advance Alzheimer's and so he was possibly
even unaware of the death of his really full time caregiver.
I think people did not check in. He was ninety
four years old, I think ninety five years old, and
people didn't check in because his wife was in her sixties,
So everybody just assumed that he would be okay. If
(12:20):
a ninety five year old man was living by himself,
I think more people would check in. But I think
just everybody assumed, oh, he's fine, he's got his caretaker
with him, she's doing a great job looking after him.
I spoke to some insiders and they really said she
was wonderful. She kept him alive many many more years
with her love and her attention. But who would think
she would pass for at first? This is something that nobody,
(12:42):
nobody thought would happen.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Well, you know, the interesting thing, I think the one
takeaway from this story alone and just how we can
apply it to ourselves, is you know, check in on
your parents, if you're lucky enough to still have them around,
you know, just don't assume, you know, oh they're fine.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
You know.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
I'll talk to a woman about forty A phone call
takes what two minutes, you know, saying well, how's it going,
what are you doing today?
Speaker 1 (13:07):
You know?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Even if it's the quickest or it give be the
longest phone call of your life.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
But it's still checking on the people that are a
little bit older than you in life and just to
see how they're doing.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
My mum and dad now are in their late eighties.
I'm so grateful they are. It means they are still
with us. The alternative is not good, Garrett. So I
will take them into their eighties and their nineties and
I check in with them now every day, right every day.
It's short, sometimes sometimes it's a long, gossipy, fun conversation,
but it gives me such a piece piece of mind
(13:37):
knowing that they're okay. And so this is just just heartbreaking.
I'm glad we got to the bottom of it. There
is no foul play. Remember, for a long time, because
it was so mysterious, we all wondered what is going
on here? But now we know there is no foul
play involved in this. That she tragically passed. First, she
wasn't feeling very well, she passed away, and then because
(13:59):
of his Alzheimer's, he didn't call the authorities. He probably
didn't even know she had died, so he lived in
that has a ninety five years old with Alzheimer's for
seven seven days. Just heartbreaking. Okay, quickly before we go
to break Garrett, what have you got?
Speaker 3 (14:14):
All right, Well, let's switch gears a ton. Let's go
back to the high school drama that we're very good
at at talking about. Hellie Bieber seems to have appeared
to be shading Selena Gomez again and Benni Blanco. So
on TikTok around Valentine's Day, someone posted pictures of Benny
Blanco and Selena Gomez they're engaged now, as if he
(14:35):
may not know, and said these are the worst photos ever. Sorry,
sorry to do this to everyone, but I had to
look at these photos, so do you is what the
TikToker puts me.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
This is the worst.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
And here's where Haley comes in, and it seems like
she she pretty much just you know, backed up that
liked liked those like the comments over there, which caused
which caused like the video, but caused everyone to go.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
You know, I would think, so I hope it was
a mistake. Sometimes when I flick through social media, I'm
on a roll so quick I sometimes press the wrong buttons.
But why are you following somebody that would say such
cool things about anybody I would have just got.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
You know, it's interesting with TikTok.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
You don't have to necessarily following them, but you're in
your algorithm. Like right now, if you open up your
any apps, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, depending on what you're searching,
it'll it'll show up. Like for me, I was I
was very intrigued with wrestling last week. So it's all
these wrestling posts like for you, I'm sure it's.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
It's doggy posts like.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Liza and Dogs.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Yes, Liza dogs show. I get. That's so interesting. Explain that.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
So it means that Haley at least is interested in
just An and she might not be liking things, but
she's definitely looking things up.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Oh, I want to believe this was just a simple accident,
because this is not a good luck. It was years ago.
You're married to him, You've got his baby. She's really happy,
Selina Gibers is really happy. Don't don't poke about here.
It's not good. Okay, We're going to take a quick
break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
(16:22):
the Naughty n n I show, your hostop shooting with
my dear friend Garrett bare At ogul Hey, Garrett, let's
get to the polls. Nic Show, we talked about Blake
Lively and Ryan Reynolds fighting to keep private celebrity text
from leaking. So they've got a lot of really famous friends.
We know Aunt Taylor's. Where do we know another Hugh Jackman?
They know everybody. They really are beloved in Hollywood, so
they've got lots of texts. They want to keep these private.
(16:44):
Our question is quite simple, are their famous friends right
to be worried? Would you be worried today if you
were a famous friend of Blake and Ryan's and your
texts that might have nothing to do with this legal mess,
they might might be exposed. Let's have a look. Eighty
five percent said yes, I think I would be worried.
(17:05):
I'm not famous, but I think I would be a
bit worried if a friend of mine, if you and me, Garrett.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
If one of us would be in trouble, If you
have getting out naughties, Okay, I.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Don't want those out there. I agree with you naughties. Hey,
don't forget to vote on today's Paul going to Twitter
page at naughty nice Rob. A Facebook page is naughty
Dasom I'm be sure to check out tomorrow to hear
your results. And now it's time for and nicest of
the day.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Yes, well, you know this doesn't happen often, but Meghan
Markle just winning people over with a rare Princess Lila
bet photo and everybody starts going wild. By the way,
I sat down and I binged her Netflix show.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Yeah it's not bad.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
It's a good behind the scenes like you don't have
to sit there and watch it, but if you have
it on as you're cleaning the house or just you know,
it's a good background noise and you can check check
in from time to time.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I made the mistake of sitting there
watching it religiously like it was some sort of historical
artifact and I was going to get a test at
the end. So I think the way to watch it is,
as you said, just a little bit in the background, you.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Know, the one thing.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
And we'll talk about a little bit photo in a second.
But the one thing I found interesting was like she
has to have something for any time someone comes over,
like like Rob if you come over like I order
a pizza, Like I'm sure she could do.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
That too, though you don't have to be perfect, Megan like,
order a pizza.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
I'm fine, well yeah, and everybody gets something like, oh,
we're going to make some.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
G It's a little bitch though. It's just that partelt.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
I know this is the nicest, but it felt very
Martha's Stewart.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Yes, it was very stagy Martha's Stewarty. I just it
didn't feel real to me, But I didn't mind that.
When I watched TV shows, they don't feel real either,
but I still watch them. I love that stuff. So
what about little Lily bit So we have a beautiful
picture of Libert.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yes, that Megan.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
That Meghan dropped of her husband Prince Harry of course,
and their three year old daughter. And you know, it's
one of those I guess it's one of those things
where you kind of like, oh, I wonder what they're
doing right now, and you know, you get this random photo.
It's like you're kind of led into their lives, just
this lovelessmidge.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, just enough, just enough and nicest. Other day,
and now I noticed the day just because Simpson has
dropped a scathing anthem after breaking up with her husband
Eric Johnson. So she's calling it a holy matrimony, so
it's leaving questions that maybe Eric cheated on her. She
doesn't go that far to say it. I listened to
(19:27):
the song. It's a really dramatic crimea river type song.
I liked the song that.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
I should I gave to her what you gave to me.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
It's a really sort of interesting track. She sings great
in it. I hope it does does well. But I
don't know about this, Jess. I don't know if you
and Eric. I don't think Eric is a just in Timberlake.
I don't think he's a nick Lache. We don't really
know him that much, so I wasn't quite as invested
in it now. Somebody having their heartbroken was always something
I've invested in. I'm really concerned about. So I hope
(19:59):
you're doing great, Jess. I'm not sure these breakup songs
is the way to handle those emotions, but lends end
with the moment of you're both the problem and the solution,
so only the fact that you are the problem is
a game changer. It took me a long time to
realize this. It's tough, it's really uncomfortable, and for a
(20:20):
long time many of us actually avoid that but the
truth is the life you have right now is a
result of your own actions and decisions. The good news,
if you are the problem, that also means you can
be the solution. So if you don't like your life,
change it, make different decisions, take a different path. You
(20:43):
don't need permission and you don't need to wait. The
power is already in your hands. Admit you can be
the problem. Hey, that is it for today. Thank you
so much for listening to The Naughty but Nis with
Robin Garrett Show. A prediction of iHeartRadio don't forget this
ribe on the iHeartRadio app Apple podcast. Wherever you listen,
(21:03):
leave us a review if you can. They really do
help and remember all together now, if you're going to
be unauty, you gotta be take care of everybody. It's
not even nice with ro
