Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hell no no, no, no no, no, no no no. Welcome
to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter,
and it is Monday, which means our dear friend, Garrett
Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett, are you there.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
We are back together again, Rob Shooter, like we never left.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Hello.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I like you. I've known you a long time, my friend.
You make me happy, Garrett. You've got that really sweet
personality that is always fun to hang out with.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Some call it the boy next door.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yes, that's what it is. Don't take this as an insult.
Ryan Seacrest said this, and it made total sense to me.
They asked Ryan what flavor I scream he would be,
and he said vanilla, because I get along with every
other flavor. Like you can put anything with vanilla. If
I'm chocolate, of strawberry or banah, if I put that
a scoop of that with a scooba vanilla, it always works.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
See. It's the way you deliver the word vanilla, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
So if you're like, oh, you know, you're vanilla in
a sense of like I enjoy vanilla. But then there's
others that are.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Like your vanilla.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
So it's all how you deliver it, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
But more importantly, I think you and I need to
start practicing for the twenty twenty eight Olympics. You and
I should find I think maybe maybe some synchronized choreographed
dancing in the pool, something along the lines where you
and I can meddle and be proud of it. Well,
actually you wouldn't be able to compete.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
We would be would be competing for Britain.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Although I'm an American now, I'm an American citizens, So
I think it's garrett that I worry here is not
the countries we were born, and it's the fact we
can't do anything in the Olympics. Like that's a much
bigger problem to me than the country.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
What have you have you seen? Did you see the breakdancer?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Faith? We're getting Australia. We'll get into that. We've got
a lot of Olympic stories today. Let's jump into the show.
What time is it? My friends? It is tea big stormy.
At the top of the show, Tom Cruise stole the show,
closing the Paris Olympics with a daring stunt. So Tom,
who's pretty much redefined what it is to be an
action hero movie star on the big screen made a

(02:14):
grand appearance at the Paris Olympics. I don't know if
you saw it, but it closed on Sunday night. It
was magnificent, two magnificent weeks. The ratings are through the roof.
They're up like sixty seventy percent over Tokyo. They are
monster ratings, so everybody is really really excited about Paris.
But in true Tom Cruise fashion, the Hollywood Icon, he

(02:36):
jumped off the roof of the stadium and he glided
down onto the field where he took the flag and
then in a pre taped piece, he flew it to
La where the games are gonna be in twenty twenty A.
I loved it. I liked the monor cycle when he

(02:57):
was driving out of the stadium. I liked the player.
I liked him landing at the Hollywood side. I thought
it was really clever. It reminded me a little bit
of the British Olympics when the Queen it wasn't really her,
it was a stunt double, but the Queen jumped out
of a helicopter with Jamespond.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
That's the difference, though that actually was Tom Cruise. Tom
doesn't Tom stunt double like makes a lot of money
for probably doing little to no work, you know what
I mean. Like the man does it himself and he says,
you know, getting to see him maybe about a year
ago for when Mission Impossible came out, he goes, it's
more believable if I do it, like you can have

(03:33):
someone do it who was very talented and can make
things look good. But if it's not me, it doesn't
feel authentic to me. So that's why he does all
that stuff. That was him skydiving out of a plane
landing near the Hollywood sign.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
You know.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
That was him actually riding a motorcycle. Think about it,
if you or I try to ride a motorcycle around
the Olympians, there would be deaths.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Unfortunately I would clumbs. It'd be such a disaster.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I mean it was.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
It was true Hollywood fashion because and think about it too,
twenty twenty eight La Hollywood. Where who would you think
else would be the mega Hollywood star?

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Now one thinking.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
About these huge stars like for me there, I've got
to admit my moment of the Olympics Simone Biles, I'm
gonna take that away. I loved the runner who had COVID,
who still managed to get a bronze. I thought he
was fantastic. I also too, I'm remembering I'm thinking about
Celine Dion on the Eiffel Tower, like that's had to
open a show.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Oh yeah, no, of course, But I'm thinking like passing
of the torch. I'm talking about when you think Hollywood
and someone to represent Hollywood, Like what bigger star can
you get? Then Tom Cruise to go, Hey, we will
accept the Olympics on our behalf. Like I think Tom
Cruise is at the top of the list.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
I think you answer, you're in question. Yeah, the person
who's going to open the Games in four years in
LA has to be Tom. I mean it has to
be Tom's showing up and delivering the torch. And the
amoun of celebrities that are going to do this, who
should be the Celine Dion of l A. I was thinking,
like Gwenster Farm is very LA. She's a really LA
rock star. Taylor Swift's the biggest star in the world,

(05:08):
So maybe Taylor, although I think she's more New York
than l A.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Right, you know, it's it's it's a hard snoop already,
you know, I think we've we've seen our fair share.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Of I think, yes, it was very nice, but I
think I think.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
We're snooped out. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, you
gotta you gotta think, you gotta think huge, I mean.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Huge, Bruce Beinstein's stars like Madonna, it's got to be
huge megastars like Beyonce's.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
I can see Beyonce doing it. Yeah, I can actually
see Beyonce doing it. Yeah, Beyonce could be the biggest,
even though she's not from l A. But still, but
but at that point, it's representing the US and not
just l A.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
You know, to be honest to Selene, Dianni is not French.
I mean, she's right, So you know, we can we
can say this a little bit. It doesn't have to
be totally authentic.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Maybe Selene can come back and relive the Atlanta game.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Should come back Celena and this time to do a
song in in English. We can understand the words and
oh yes, Saline, Beauty and the Beast Sleen okay, which
brings us to our pole question of the day. Tom
stole the show. It was magnificent. Now, I know Tom
gets on some people's nerves, and I know there's a
lot of questions about scientology, sury I get all that,
but nevertheless, when Tom does this, when Tom's being Ethan

(06:19):
Hunt from Mission impossible, there's nobody else that can do this.
It's amazing. Our question is who did it better? Who
did you like better? Tom or Celine Dianne? You can
only pick one? Is it Tom or is it Saline?
What are you taking away?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Not fair?

Speaker 1 (06:35):
You've got the Jimmy's a good choice the Jews. Okay, okay,
don't forget to vote on today's Twitter page. Aughto nice
rab or our Facebook page and already go zip and
be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey,
what are you working on?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
So let's continue with the Olympics. So you might have
heard this over the weekend. Came out Friday afternoon. Jordan
Chiles of the Magnificent women's gymnastics team. Unfortunately, it looks
like she has to hand back her bronze medal that
she she won just a just a few days ago.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Came out.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
It went through like this. I didn't realize the the
Olympics had like court, you know, like where lawyers are
fighting over over little simple rules. But her teammates sim
O Biles and Sunny Lee are sticking up for her teammate,
just like a good teammate would pretty much talking about
their frustration UH over Instagram and defending defending Jordan Childs

(07:32):
as well. Simone Biles even showed her support by sharing
this this post on her story as well, saying that
that sending you so much love, Jordan, keep your chin up,
Olympic champ.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
We love you.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
And here's the interesting thing, Rob Shooter, I was very
close to that bronze medal on Friday.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Jordan Chiles was.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
In our building support showing off all her medals to
everybody on on our floor, and there was the bronze
medal and no, no less. Then maybe about an hour later,
the story came out that she has to give it back.
But as of this morning, the US side of things
are appealing that, saying that there they will find a

(08:11):
way to make sure she keeps that bronze medal. So
though the Olympics are asking for it back, the US
are fighting back just as we typically do.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Would you give it to the Americans? You don't getting
it back now?

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Absolutely, You're going to need a good lawyer.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
You're going to need a good lawyer, you know.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
She call the bronze Bronze medal.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
It is so heavy, and the fact that that a
piece which I'm curious how they did that. A piece
of the Eiffel Tower is ingrained in everything the Eiffel Town.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
I know, I'm curious.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
That doesn't seem right. Well, I think she needs to
get Gwyneth Paltrow's lawyer, because then she'll keep her medal.
That's a good lawyer. On Skiing, I love that trial.
It's too much. That's a good lawyer. Okay, moving along,
Britney Spath. We actually addicted this a couple of days ago.
Brittany has responded to Blake Lively. So Blake wore Brittney's

(09:06):
two thousand and two Versarci dressed to her movie premiere.
It ends with Us and it was a real tribute
to Britney. Blake loves Britney spegure. She said she meant
so much to me. However, Holsey loves Britney too, and
she recently recreated one of Britney's looks in a music
video and Brittany didn't like it. She said it was
rude and disrespectful.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Brittany deleted reed.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
And she's changed her mind again. Here, So I predicted
Brittany might not take this well, and she didn't at first,
So Brittany posted a picture of herself in a new
interpretation of the dress, saying I like it way better.
Then after people said, oh, that's shady, she's coming after Blake,
and then Brittany added, I know Blake lively, but I
like it. So she clarified that she did not want

(09:52):
to put any shade out there. It's so tricky, isn't it?
Social media? Can you respond to make it sure it's
very clear because this could have read either way. When
she said in all capitals, I like it's way better,
you think she's talking about Blake, not her original dress.
So I'm glad she clarified it, but also to it

(10:13):
makes me sad that when somebody does something nice, this
has happened to me, you take it the wrong way.
Course instincts, hopefully I always go with the positive. Not that.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah, but when you're but between text messages and captions online,
that's you're left to your own interpretation. So whatever little
little thing is in your hand, you're automatically thrown that
this is going to be a sarcastic, mean upsetting and
no one reads it in a positive note.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (10:42):
You could you could send me a text going like
you send me a text he low right. I could
read it in nine different ways, and it's a matter
of yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
I called you vanilla. I called you vanilla. You could
have taken that in any different way too. This is
interesting that I spoke to a friend of Britney's and
they said they defended Brittany and I never thought about
it like this. They said, she's had so much hate
throwing at her online. She's had so many people ruin
her life, including her dad, a conservatorship. She's sensitive, She's
overly sensitive. And they said we have to cut her

(11:10):
a break here because whenever you seem to do something
nice for Britney, she's suspicious. She wonders, what do you want?
What do you have to do? It's a horrible way
to live.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
But you know it's interesting as well too. Her biopic
is now being turned into a movie, and as of Thursday,
or before the premiere, there was talks about Sabrina Carpenter
Sydney Sweeney. But I think after this dress, and I
think Blake did it on purpose in an intentional manner.
She could be in the running to play Britney Spears.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
It would be great, It would be great. I worry
a little bit about age because Britney's going to be
very young in this movie. I wonder how they're going
to do that. I don't want another Dear Evan Hanson
where it doesn't quite sort of all look right. But
Rare Blake could do it. I saw the movie. I
went to see one. I really like the book. This
is my type of novel, like I like there's big,

(12:00):
sweeping romances. They call them beach reads, and I think
they say that as a little bit of a dig
to put them down, as if they're not real literature.
I loved it. It's very true. It's over the top,
and the movie's terrific. Blake's do youlightful. She's just so lovely.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
How about that? How about that rooftop scene with Blake
and her co star? You know Ryan directed that stude
almost like a like like almost a sophisticated, you know,
love making scene directed by your husband.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Very very strange, And now it seems as if they've
all fell out. Her co star, it doesn't look like
they're even talking to it. At the Red carpet premiere.
I noticed they took no pictures together, and so I
think there's a little bit of beef there. We'll get
to the bottom of it. Okay, before we go to
break Garret, what's going on with Travis Kelsey's dad, Dad,
what's happening?

Speaker 2 (12:46):
So, so dad's actually doing what dads do best, sticking
up for your kids. So you might have heard Kanye
has a new album song. By the way, his album
came in number two, number one. Travis's dad, Ed Kelsey,
got some strong words for mister Kanye.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Of course.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
So after Kanye dropped Taylor and Travis's name in one
of his new songs, Ed took to here's my problem.
He took to Facebook like he's only only talking. He's
talking to her parents, you know what I mean. He's
not talking to the world unfortunately. So here's what I
posted an article about the the lyrics calling calling it

(13:25):
mental illness on full display, which is alludes to Kanye's
well known struggles. Of course, Uh, you know, the mention
was reignited, those memories going all the way back to
the v m a'suh and uh, you know Kanye calling Taylor.
You know that that be after you know, the song
famous but you know, uh, Travis, Travis can't say anything

(13:48):
because all it does is it really just brings Taylor
and Travis down to that level, which I think Taylor
has done very well, even though she she finds subliminal
ways to get things in there.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
She will not outspeak.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
But Ed, on the other hand, if you ever seen
Ed Kelsey, Travis's dad, Travis and Jason's dad, he's like
the guys. He's the guy you would see at the
bar that would just like tell you how it is,
you know what I mean. Like if he doesn't like you,
he's gonna tell you you know what I mean, and
he'll post about it on Facebook.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Yeah, yeah, I like that dads defend their kids here,
I totally get it. I do question for a second though,
talking about mental health. It's something that's very real and
it's something that Kanye really has has suffered with. But
I think here he handled it in a well intentioned way,
and he's angry stop talking about Travis and Taylor. Like

(14:37):
Kanye move on, Taylor's moved on. He won't let it go.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
And you know what, I think, it's just it speaks
volumes on the way that his album came in number two.
He's always been used to number one and the person
to stop him from being number one was tailor Taylor Swift.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Okay, before we get a break, I just want to
mention it was lovely to see Kate Middleton. She made
a rare appearance with her husband Prince William to celebrate
Great Britain's Olympians. They put add a video on Sunday.
It's a lovely little video, quite short. She says, from
all of us watching at home, Oh that's so sweet,
and then William went on to say, well done on

(15:15):
all you have achieved. You've been an inspiration to all
of us. Just the lovely, lovely video. It's so good
to see Kate. Okay, we're going to take a quick
break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
me the naughty but I share ub shoot him with
her diffriend Garrett Vigel head Garrett, let's get to the polls. Latuo.

(15:35):
We talked about Travis, who's very concerned after an attempted
terrorist tack. It was foiled, thank goodness, thank goodness. At
Taylor Swift's show in Vienna, a question was should he
jump on a plane to be with her. Would you
jump on a plane if this happened to your loved one.
He's in training, so he'd have to take some time
off work. Would you do it? Let's have a look.
Eighty percent said yes, I would have gone. What about you, Garrett?

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Oh, as long as for all it's tell her security,
so you know you're gonna be safe.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Yes, so yes, I guess you have to.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
But but again they both understand their work situation, so
it was one of those you know, she's also looking
out for him.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Hey, I want you to be safe. Stay over there.
I'm surrounded by you know, military, the best of the best.
She's the best, So.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yeah, I get it. But even if she said if
I thought Bruce was in danger, and even if the
plot had passed, I think I would jump on a
plane and he would tell me not to come. He'd say, no,
I'm fine, don't come, you're at work. I would definitely go,
I'm with you. Naughtyse don't forget to vote on today's
poem going to Twitter page Naughty nice Romba on our
Facebook page which is Naughty Gossip, and be sure to

(16:44):
take it back tomorrow to hear your results. And now
it's time for our nices. Start of the day.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Yes, come along friends.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
So Adele she's doing these these big she's doing like
almost like a festival residency where they you know, they
built out like Adell Town where likely like there's tents
and and there's games and there's a rise and she's
putting on my I believe ten or so shows. But
she pretty much confirmed the news that I think we've
all known but been waiting for the official announcement, that

(17:16):
she is She's engaged to Rich Paul Lebron, James's.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Big super agent.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
You know, they've been dating for three years, and it
feels like ever since they started dating, like a week later,
they've been engaged, you know what I mean, Like everybody's
been like get engaged, but no one really knew. So
of course Adele made the announcement during her concert in
Germany when responding to a fan asking for a marriage
popolso with a little smile, she said.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
I can't.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
I can't, Mariu because mari as my Adele, and she
held up her left hand to a single you know,
the engagement ring, but so so by the way, the
ring like almost nine hundred thousand dollars, which is crazy.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
She made the announcement and everybody's watching her on stage.
Her fiance Aka is at the Olympics. I mean, you
would think you were on make the announcement together. Like
if I made the announcement that I was getting married
to my wife at the time and she was nowhere
near me, Like it would kind of be a little awkward,
you know. But they're superstars, so I get it.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
There is a little awkward. Congratulations. I nice this of
the day. I noticed daty naughty. Gwen Sevani has canceled
the Atlantic City concert due to a mystery illness, saying I'm.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
So sorry for the Olympics in twenty eighth.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
It's really sad. We don't know what's going on here.
She said it's a result of a recent injury. She's
consulted her doctors and advice that she's not being able
to perform. Once again, let me be clear her, We're
not saying that that Gwenny's the naughtiest of the day.
We're just saying what a bummer it is when you
make all these preparations and you're really looking forward to something,
a big night out. It's happened to all of us.

(18:53):
It's not the star's fault, and I think though it's
still up setting. So Gwen, we hope you are feeling better.
I hope you can reschedule that show. With sending you
our best. Let's end with a moment of don't give
bad stories bad news the level of importance they should
never have had. Let me give you an example. Recently,

(19:17):
a friend said something to me that I didn't like.
But it was one sentence, and suddenly I gave this
sentence so much importance that that's all I could think about,
and I almost fell out with a friend who I've
been friends with for years. It's one sentence. Think about it.
Yes it hurt my feelings, but it wasn't as big
as what I'm making it out to be. Figure out,

(19:38):
are you giving somethink a justified amount of attention or
are you amplifying it? Often I find, Garrett, that the
human mind can amplify the mean and not the good.
Instead of thinking of the ten nice things this friend
had done to me that day, just that day, or
the five really funny laugh so it had just that day,

(20:01):
I was remembering one sentence.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Yeah, it's funny how the negative has such an easy
track to the front of our minds than the positives.
It's almost like you gotta work harder to find the
good things in life. It feels like it should be
the other way around, but it's not.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
It's not human nature, and so be really careful about
doing that. Once again, don't give bad stories, bad news
the level of importance they should never have had. Hey,
that is it for today. Thank you so much for
