Speaker 1 (00:01):
Everything in the world of celebrity sauce has for entertainment
apart what you got for us.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
The British author Mel Elliott claims that Megan Markles canceled
Netflix series Pearl for striking similarities to her earlier children's
books about character named Pearl Power. So basically, Mel side quote,
Megan is a feminist who sticks up for other women.
So I was disappointed and could you see how similar
Netflix's proposed show Pearl was to my own unquote It's

(00:26):
what she said. So her legal team sent three letters
to Megan and Netflix starting in summer twenty twenty one,
weren't the show might infringe on Mel Elliott's intellectual property,
but she says she never received a response. So in
May twenty twenty two, Netflix canceled Pearl, citing budget cuts,
but Mel Elliott believes that her legal action played a role.
Pearl was an animated show about a little girl who
finds inspiration from influential women across the country, So she said,

(00:50):
what I really wanted was to have acknowledged or invited
to work as collaborator pearls my dream project. Now it's
going to look like I copied the idea from someone
else which outes that. So Sizza was just back at
a Billboard event in February. She had a picture taken
of her and she said she'd come out on the
getty image of herself and said, I'm wearing all my

(01:11):
own products and nobody knows that meant. So it looks
like Sissa's venture venturing down to the beauty industry. And
it is now official. So she's launching a new makeup line.
It's called Not Beauty and it will be available exclusively
at pop up shops during Kendrick Lamar's brand national tour.
So she said on that picture like, I'm also wearing
all my own products, and then she made it official

(01:32):
this week and it's her first ever lip collection, Not
Beauty's first drop. It's like an assortment of lip glosses.
There's three shades. It will retail for twenty three dollars,
and it comes with packaging that's inspired by nature patterns
found in wood. She said that the formula is non
sticky and it aims to prevent transfer up adermal water
loss while also keeping her lips plump. She basically said

(01:52):
that she doesn't have anything that keeps her lips moisturize.
It's also a gloss which, like I don't disagree, so yeah,
so you can. It's also gonna the full collection will
also have lipstains, liners, and creams. So very cool. And
it looks like Acon is the next artist across over
to the country genre. All right, so Akon recently said quote,
I'm actually doing my whole cataloging country. I'm not even

(02:14):
joking unquote. Then he went on to say that this
project was has been in motion for five years, but
started next But starting next months, y'all are going to
start seeing their releases. So it sounds like he found
some major country starts to collaborate with and he will
play more of a guest role maybe, but that's according
to him. But I also that could be a joke,
but I don't think it's a joke, So I'm pretty
safe for that. And if you're looking for somebody watching today,

(02:36):
we get The Voice on NBC and or season two
out on Disney. Plus Race for the Crown is out,
saying on Netflix is about jockeys and trainers racing for
horse racings Triple Crown. And then a new show that
I liked over the weekend was Ransom Canyon. It's about
a ranch, you know, community in Texas and it has
Joshamel and Mickey Kelly in it.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Ike Sauce. If you an needs something to listen to, Hoodies,
Guy Crisis podcasts out Breaking Down, The Last of Us.
Also everything from the Star Wars celebration. You can check
at wymssradio dot com. This is one of the more
bizarre stories I think I found all year. A musician's
brain matter is still making music three years after his death.

(03:15):
I like said magician, No, no musician. This composer's name
is Alvin Lucier. He is well known for experimental works
that tests the boundaries of music and art. So he
passed away in twenty twenty one at age ninety. However,
that has not been the end of his musical career.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Wow kept his brain.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Well earlier this month at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
New art installation titled Revitification used his brain matter hooked
up to an electrode connected to twenty large brass plates
oh Wow, to create electrical signals that triggered a mallet
to strike the plates and make music. Here's the actual
clip of it. So again, it's it's just kind of

(03:55):
like gongs is what it sounds like. It's weird, said,
that's a dead guy's brain. Those brain alive, Yeah, so
I don't like. Yeah, they solicited help from researchers at
Harvard's Medical school. They grew a mini brain from miss

(04:17):
white blood cells and that was making the music.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
But why they grew a brain.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, and they hocked up electrodes to it. You don't
need to grow a brain. But like that's kind of weird.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
They didn't want to like try to cure cancerra to
listen to that brain.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Okay, make a xylophone.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I obviously cannot do anything like that, so good for them,
But you can't do anything else.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
You can do anything your mind.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Can't do anything else with your brain power.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I mean it is kind of like that's that's what
we chose to do. This is how AI is going
to take lit. They're going to grow a brain. Yeah,
like they're gonna make something. Yeah, they just made music
for Dead Year. I think they's what they did. So
if you want to see the video put on the socials,
it is kind of wild. At YMS Radio, I want

(05:10):
to get to the things that make you completely unforgettable.
