Rachel and Chris have been dating for a little over five months and for the most part Rachel tells us things have been great. However, this past weekend Rachel tells us that she and Chris were going to get dinner together, but Chris called her right before saying he had to stay late at work. Chris sent Rachel a photo of what was going on at work and when Rachel looked at it she saw that the photo said it was taken a week before Chris sent it. Rachel is starting to worry Chris has been lying every other time he said he was staying late for work and asks for our help to get to the bottom of it.

We call Chris pretending to send him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask Chris who he wants to send the flowers to, Chris asks if we can send them to someone named Maggie. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, it's War the Rosies on internshown in your morning show.
You're with somebody you think could be your person, you're forever,
but then something pops up that makes you go, is
there something else going on? We try to rip off
that band aid with War of the Roses or Rachel

(00:22):
good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
So walk us through this girl. You have been with
Chris for how long?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
About five months now, okay.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
And in that time everything's been swell, everything's been good.
But the reason we're here is because of something happened
this past weekend. Can you kind of walk us through
where we're at?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yeah, things have been mostly going well. I mean I
didn't have any suspicion until just a few days ago.
And you know, he often works late, so that's a
normal thing for him. But now I think he started
lying about working late.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Okay, why is that?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Well, we had plans for last Friday night.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
We were supposed to.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Go to dinner and I was just about to leave
work and then he texted me and said that he
had this work issue, and he even sent me a
photo of the issue that he was dealing with. So
I was like, okay, you know, I understand, and but
the thing is like I went to look for the photo,
like I was going to send it to a friend,

(01:31):
and I you know, I have my phone set so
when someone sent me a photo, it automatically saves to
my photo album. I'm not the picture.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yeah, is so annoying. Yeah, I realized that this past week. Yeah,
and how I do on the iPhone like the lace
update it like Sauce has made all these stickers of me,
and so I go to my photo It's like all
the photos you send me save on acclete.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
You do love that?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Okay, So anyway, what happened.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Well, so then it was saved on the date that
it was taken, and that it was a week before,
so it's an even current.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
So he was clearly lying. Okay, even if it did
not have the save it, if you decide to save it,
you would have noticed that it was anyway, so weird Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
So that yeah, so it's weird in a couple of
ways because it's like when he took the photo originally,
was it just because he was maybe shown something at work,
or is he like that far planning ahead that Oh
yeah that yeah, okay, Okay, have you confronted him about this?

(02:42):
At all, Rachel.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
No, but I wonder what he was doing, like if
he was sending me a picture that was from another day,
then like what was he actually doing on Friday night?
So now I think what to be up to? Like
is you seeing someone else?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I mean, has he aside from this and again not
that this is a small thing, has there been anything
else that would look him back raise his suspicion or
is it mainly this and not to make this seem
small it's odd for sure, or has it been pretty
on this straight and even the whole time.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yeah, everything else has been fine. But now I'm starting
to wonder if he was lying about working late a
lot of times when.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I just thought he was Alidah, yeah, that's fair. Okay,
so let's do let's do this, Rachel. We'll have sauce
call from the flower company. Off from the flowers. They
clearly should go to you if they go see you
or put him on hold, seat you one, do they
go to somebody else? We'll get some answers for you.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Okay, Okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I wore the roses on interns John in your morning
show in about three minutes. Swore the roses on interns
John in your morning show, Rachel, let me recap this quickly.
You and Chris been together about five months. Everything has
been going well, except for last Friday. You guys supposed
to have a date night. He texted you around the
time of date nights saying, hey, got put out a

(04:01):
fire at work, so to speak, which has happened before.
He is in a position of power at work. He
sends you a photo of the situation, and you went
to go to your photo album to send the photo
of somebody else. Realize the photo wasn't there. Your phone
is set up to save photos. I'm a text to you.
You realize that photo is actually taking a few days ago,

(04:22):
so they basically either stocked that photo or I don't know.
It's odd to send you a photo of something that
happened days prior, saying this is happening right now. That's
kind of where we're at. My questions for you real
quickly is have you met any of his coworkers before?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
No, I haven't.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Okay, I guess that's probably five months. Like that's probably
because like the Christmas party had been too early on
for that day happen, so that's fair. Have you met
his friends of family, Yes, a lot of them. Okay,
have they has he met your friends of family?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah, yeah, some of them.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
And interactions on both those sides of the coin went well,
have gone well? Nothing to odd there?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Yeah, everything was fine, all right?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Want to make sure. So let's say this love sauce
call from the flower company. She's gonna offer Chris a
dozen red roses. She'd go to you, girlfriend of five months.
Certainly if they give us somebody else, we'll get some answers.
Is that cool?

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Yeah? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
One second, girl, got you?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Hi, I'm calling for Chris hi gros. My name is Sabrina.
I'm calling you from a new local flower shop. We're
called Yms Flowers and we're trying out some new marketing
since we, you know, are going into our slow season
where we're offering locals a free bouquet of a dozen
ron roses.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
It's totally free. We don't eat your credit card info,
and we're just trying to get our product out there,
you know, in your home office. It's free, like hopefully
we end up coming back to it. It's called Ymth Flowers.
We're just downtown.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
We just sign for any I didn't sign up for
any flower company. How did you get my information?

Speaker 4 (06:16):
No, no, you did, but basically we take Google. We
get the numbers from Google, so maybe you signed up.
I don't actually know how Google works with that stuff,
and we just the zip code that you're in is
the one that we're just trying to focus on right now,
since it's going to summer and everything, and hopefully you
just like love the flowers. My mom makes gorgeous bouquets,
and then you come back to us. That's just all
we're trying to do. Instead of just like an Instagram ad,
we are trying to actually have you physically see them

(06:38):
so you can make someone's day. And it's free. I'm
sure there's someone in your life that you want to make,
you know, a little bit happier today, right for free
in this economy. Yeah, supporting your local flower shop because
I know you're gonna love the flowers. You gonna come
back to us. My mom will be so happy.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Okay, if they're actually free.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
They're totally free. I don't need your credit card, and
so I'm not even going to know your last name.
I mean already do because Google, you know, but I
won't say it right now. Okay, so I'm gonna make
a little file just in case you do come back,
because I know you will. Can I get the name
of who you're sending them to?

Speaker 5 (07:13):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Sure, Maggie, Maggie like m A G G I E.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
That's right?

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Okay? And then what is she? Do you just in
case you come back to get flowers for Maggie and
she's your fiance. But then I'm like, oh, your fiance,
you're getting her flowers? Gon, that's so nice, or like
maybe your wife or friend? They are red roses, so
a friend, your friend? Okay, I'd say they're romantic. But
you know, what do you uh do you boo boo? Uh?
What do you want the card to say? It's like
your little flower card?

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Allow a card?

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Uh, you know, like the little like rectangle ones.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Sure, but consider this your promotion? Are you the coworker?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
What am I hearing?

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Hell, we can't say those words, Rachel, But that is
a valid question, Chris. My name is intern Jeohn, I
got sauce and rose here. That is your girlfriend, Rachel.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Yeah, your girlfriend, not Maggie, not your friend.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Are you?

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Well, here's here's what's going on, Chris, And let me
just I'm just going to cut to the chase here
rolling on until ten. You were supposing out with your
girlfriend Rachel. Last Friday you had a problem at work.
She knows the photo you sent her was taken days prior.
So where are you on Friday? Why are you sending
your coworker roses?

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Well, what are you talking about? Why am I being
interrogated on the phone?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Can't say that.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Said I'm cheating?

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Is Maggie?

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Did a friend at work? Sounds like a friend?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
And why are you lying?

Speaker 2 (08:57):
And why was that picture from a week before?

Speaker 4 (09:00):
What the hell is going on?

Speaker 3 (09:01):
I don't know what you're talking about. A week before?
I think you a picture?

Speaker 1 (09:05):
It was a picture, Chris, Chris, the photo has a
date on it. Date was like six days before. She
knows it's an old photo.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
So what do you mean it can try? I can't
take pictures in the past.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
So what are you.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Doing with this person? And why are you wasting mine?

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Again?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
We can't say that your time?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Why do you have me on a freaking radio station?

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Okay, Chris? Why would you lie about a problem at
work on Friday if there wasn't a problem.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Who said I'm lying?

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Because the photo you sent ratio was taken days before,
like that we already know that I phone.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Lying, I mean pictures saved eleven?

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Bro Like, I don't know what your phone.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
I don't even know your coworker.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Did you just stay with her?

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Oh my god? Where are you talking? I literally? Did
you hear what I said? I said?

Speaker 1 (10:06):
So let's let's get okay. So let's let's assume that Chris, Chris, Chris,
and what world is that good idea to send romantic
red roses to a cowork or that you're not interested
in saying?

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Consider this your promotion?

Speaker 3 (10:19):
What do you mean you're saying romantic red roses? Like,
what's so romantic about red.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Roses?

Speaker 3 (10:26):
There?

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Red roses? And we say roman there, red roses, red roses?

Speaker 3 (10:31):
You bro? Like, I don't know everybody?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
What's romantic about red hearts? And saying I love you?
You can't just say that to friends?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Did I say I love you?

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I was making fun of that. I was mocking you.
That was that was I was mocking.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yeah, you're trying.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
It's define okay?

Speaker 3 (10:48):
All right?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
So Chris, if we call like your office and talk
to like the big boss, they would confirm this issue
on Friday.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Bro, you need to like their silence.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Yeah, okay, I'd have to get a magnifying class. I
feel like, yeah, yeah, I think we're good.
