Katie and Benjamin have been dating for a little over eight months and even though they don’t live with one another, both of their leases are up this year. Katie tells us that she did flirt with the idea of moving in with Ben and it seemed as if he avoided talking about it. However, this past weekend Katie learned that Benjamin is apparently moving in with his best friend James even though she asked Benjamin if they wanted to move in. Katie also tells us Benjamin’s friend told her that she wasn’t the “only one” in Benjamin’s life.

We call Benjamin pretending to give him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him who he wants them sent to, Benjamin asks if we can send them to someone named Monica. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:06):
It's War of the Roses on internshown in your morning show.
You are with somebody, you think you are committed to them, Well,
I guess you know you're committed to them, you think
they're committed to you, and then things start popping out.
It don't make sense. Instead of letting in fester, we
rip off that band aid Katie. Good morning, Good morning, guys.
So let's get into this. You and Benjamin have been

(00:27):
together how long?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Eight months?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Eight months? Okay, we don't live with each other, but
that's kind of the jump off for why Wandy Roses
mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah. My lease for my my apartment is about to expire,
and for the last two months you've been talking about
moving in together because his niece has also been expired. Okay,
so I've been planning to go apartment hunting with him,
Like you know, I'm really I'm really excited about it.

(00:58):
I've been telling you all my friends and all of
a sudden the last like a couple months. Even though
I've been excited, he's kind of just not been as
communicative about it, like the.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Katie, because you mentioned the email it was his idea
to move in, Like he's the one that brought up.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, like but in this past weekend, we
were talking about it and he's like, oh, yeah, well,
actually my friend James. You know James, we're moving in together,
we're going to be roommates. And I was just like what, okay, yeah,

(01:40):
like what are you even talking about?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
And you you'd heard of James before correct, we had
had some conversations with them prior to this weekend. Oh
my god.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah. Like no, I've known James since we started dating,
and a few months ago he's like a total player,
a total player. A few months ago he even like
made a asn't me and I was like, what.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Are you doing?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Bro? Like I'm dating Benjamin obviously, and then he said
to me, it's not like you're the only.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
One my audacity.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Yeah, But like I just feel like if a guy
says that, like he's not like a guy's friend says that,
like what, it's usually right. I had a guy say
that to me when I was dating his friend, and
I was like, no, prove me wrong, but if.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
The audacity, I think he could pulled off.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
But it's okay say that, Okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
So I kind of felt like yeah, right, like please,
you're just saying that because I just turned you down.
But then now he doesn't want to move in out
of nowhere and he wants to move into This guy
who's a total player, is.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
In a case, Katie where it's almost like it had
been any other guy, maybe that wouldn't fester. But now
because it is the guy that claims now he's cheating
that now it's like, okay, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Absolutely, But also it's like, well, this guy is not
like a solid relationship, trustworthy dude. This guy is like
prides himself on having like a long roster of women.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
And well, can I ask you this though, Katie, because
at the end of the day, that shouldn't matter. If
he's gonna cheat, he's gonna cheat regardless of where he is.
Do you think at his core your man's a cheater
or has the capacity to cheat.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I don't think so. But I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
That's so let's just.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Confused why he doesn't want to move in together.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I got you. So let's do this. We'll have a
souce cof from the Flower Company off him Roses. They
should go to you, girlfriend of eight months. If they
go to somebody else, we'll find out what's going on?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Okay, okay, cool, thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
The problem. War of the Rosies about three minutes away.
If you have to get out of your car, open
up the iHeartRadio app. It's Internship on your morning show.
War the Rosies on internshown in your morning show, Katie.
Let me recap this. You and Benjamin I've been dating
for eight months. I have to ask, does he get
everybody call him Benjamin or you just call him that
because you think it's cuter, because not to be judge,

(04:13):
that sounds potentious a little bit.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, I mean I call him ben Some people call
him Benji J Jammin because he's like in a band.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
That's fine, Yeah, people Benji J Jammin.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Sure, Okay, I call him Benjamin. You know.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Okay, got it all right?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
And so you guys have been together for eight months.
Kind of the reason we're doing War the Roses is
he at first brought up a couple months ago that
both your leases are coming to an end. It'd be
a good idea I for you guys would move in
and save money, right right, So this past weekend he
informs you that he actually has a roommate. He's going
to be moving somewhere else. I'm moving this buddy, James.

(04:54):
You say, James has a reputation for me a player
James wants may appears he is a.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Player reputation he is, y'all.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
I hear you. I take it back, all right. And
you said James once may have passed at you when
you call him out fort he said, well, you know,
it's not like you're Benjamin's only girlfriend, and.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
That's kind of why we're here, right, Yeah, I mean yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
So this to me, like the more I thought about it,
the odter it is, because to not talk to your
person about where you're moving to is very odd. Like
what if he moves thirty minutes away? Yeah, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Well, why I suggest it and then be like just kidding.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
That's what I'm saying too, because like at that point
it is a weird Mileston where it's like, have you
made the year of Mark dating?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
But like, yeah, if you're serious about it, why not
make this step now, especially if you're going to get
a roommate anyway. Yeah, that's that to me where it's
it's a little bit odd. Although I do you maintain
Katie that if he's gonna cheat. It doesn't matter who
he's living with, it's gonna happen anyway. Yeah, so let's
do this.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
We would be horrible to live with him and then
have someone cheat.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Like that's well yeah, and that's what I'm saying, Like
I get why you don't like James being a player,
but again, like he's gonna cheat. He's gonna cheat, and
that's just the reality of situation. So sausa call from
the flower company, off from the Roses. We're gonna assume
they go to you. If that happens, we put them
on hold. We can not hang up do whatever. If
they go to somebody else, though, we'll get some answers

(06:19):
for you.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Okay, okay, thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Get hold up one second. I would be confused. Yeah, yeah,
confused by shoelaces. So that's another story entirely. You loop
it around. Well, we're in Sandals today. It's hello.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Is this Benjamin?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yes, this is Benjamin.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
My name is Eva.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I'm calling you from a new flower shop or called YMS.
We're trying out some new marketing where we're offering someone
each week a free bouquet of flowers, just so that
we can get our product out there and then hope,
hope you come back to us. We don't hear a
credit card info, nothing like that.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Did you say your name Ava? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (07:15):
But I didn't sign up for anything you did.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Yeah, No, we just like we get a list of
phone numbers for the zip code and you're just on there.
It's from Google. They you must have filled out something
on a website and it just sent it. I don't
know when you click the little check here thing, but
it's totally free. We don't hear a credit card info.
And you could be making someone's day, potentially making my
day if you come back and use my flower shop,

(07:38):
make my mom's stream come true. But if you really
don't want to, then I can just stop talking.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
And you don't need like a credit card or down
payment or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
I won't ask you for your credit card info or anything.
We can even get them out today. Uh and yeah
if you don't. Yeah, So if it's something you'd like,
we just like want to get our product out there
so that you can actually see them and then hopefully
use since it's our slow season.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yeah, yeah, I totally get it. Yeah, that'd be nice
actually to send somebody some flowers. Okay, yeah, I can
do that, all right, sick.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
And I'm just gonna make a little folder as you will, uh,
just with a little bit of info. So who do
you want to send the flowers to? Oh, that's easy.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
I want to send it to Monica.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
I spell like Monica from friends, Okay. And then and
then I'm just gonna check, like we have like this thing.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
What is she to you?

Speaker 3 (08:28):
She like your sister, friend, girlfriend and bofe. All right,
these I'm gonna send red roses. I know I have flowers,
but they are red roses. She's gonna she loves roses.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I was just say they're more romantic, like. And then
if you come back and be like, oh, your friend Monica,
how's she doing? You know, we're just trying to say
local and in the community.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I understand.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Yeah, I think the red roses will be very appropriate.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Okay, okay, just want to make sure. And then what
do you want the card to say? It's just like
a little flower card.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
You know.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Okay, this is a little short message.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah, okay, something simple like thinking of you? What they
had me on you? But I heard the whole thing. Hi, Yeah,
this is Katie, your girl.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
What do you knows what it is? But what do
I know? Yeah, benjam my name is interned John. I
got sauce and Rose here as well. That is your
girlfriend Katie? Who is Monica? Now I know that. Who
is Monica? And why are you sending her roses?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (09:30):
First off, how is it any of your anything? You
can't say, you can't sit out in the radio. But
it's your girlfriend's business. So maybe i'll ask on behalf
of Katie? Why are you at sending flowers to Katie?
Who's Monica?

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (09:43):
If you really want to know who Monica is? Okay,
it's simple. That's that is a friend of mine because
you know what that is. That's James's girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Brother. Uh no, it's not.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I was going to give the weird behalf of James.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Why would you send you girlfriend flowers?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
That's what we do. We're boys.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
We do nice things for one another.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Okay, wait, no, no, that's true. So then let me
ask you this then, Benjamin. Besides taking a pass to
your girlfriend, what has James done for you and your
relationship with Katy?

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Wait wait, wait wait what did you just said? Say
that again?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Besides taking a pass at your girlfriend. What is your
boy James done to help your relationship with Katie? Wait
a minute, Wait a minute, My boy James would never
cross that line. What are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Oh hell no, he absolutely crossed that line a few
months ago. I just tried to shoot it down. Then
he said, oh, it's not like you're the only one.
And when I told him that I was your girlfriend,
I'm just like slabbergasted. You're not going to wait it's flowers,
Yeah you're it's not going to be like you're giving

(10:50):
flowers to a friend. You should have given flowers to
your girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Yeah, you can't. You can't say in different times much
to my buddy James, were moving in together. I want
to do the nice form about that. Why are you
moving now?

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Let's talk about the fact my friend James was hitting
on you and you didn't tell me.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
I'm to trust you, but so let me beIN So
why would James say that Katie isn't your only one?

Speaker 3 (11:19):
I don't know why James would do that. Man.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Obviously he's lying and we got some talking to you.
But I'm gonna hand on James when I see him.
But I can't.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Understand why my girlfriends wouldn't tell me when another man
is hitting on her and only tells me on the
radio to embarrass I mean.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
To embarrass you.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
It's just like men hit on women all the time.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You're grown. He believe her.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
It sounds like you definitely would't believe her even if
she had told you, just by what you've said already.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
So why would you tell you?

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (11:46):
You sound like such a catch? Oh my god?
