Kate and Michael have been together for a little over three months after first meeting each other on Tinder. Kate tells us things have been great for the most part, but her friend told her the other day that she found a wedding registry site where Michael was the groom. Unfortunately the website was password-locked, but the wedding is in Maryland so Kate is worried that she is the side piece to Michael’s potential fiancé.

We call Michael pretending to send him free flowers and when we ask Michael who he wants to send them to, he asks if we can send them to someone named Stephanie. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wore the roses on. He turns you out in your
morning show. You were in a relationship and you think
it's a happy, healthy relationship, but some things pop up
that don't quite make sense. We try and get to
the bottom of it. Kate, Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Morning.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
So walk us through this. You and Michael first met, how.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
We matched on Tender?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
All right, and well I'm gonna cut you off. What
about Michael stood out on the dating apps.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I think it's smile. So he just has a very
nice smile.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Okay, and so we matched on Tender. About how long ago.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Is that we've been together?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
About three months?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Okay? According to your email, was more casual at first
and then became committed. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I mean it's probably been the last month and a
half that it's gotten, you know, a little more serious.
I mean, and he treats me really well. I'm very
happy with the way things have been going.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Okay. Have we had the boyfriend girlfriend talk?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
No, we did that. I guess a month ago, like
when they started to get serious. I'm like, so we're
just seeing each other now. You kind of have to
do that when you meet on tender.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Who brought it up first?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
It was me?

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Okay, sure, as now here we are then three months
totaled together, about one month of being committed to each other.
Why are we doing war the roses?

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Okay, So Michael hasn't met my friends yet, and my
best friend is of course very curious and started doing
some digging and she found a wedding registry under his
name with a woman named Stephanie. But he has a
really common name.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Sure, and so.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
She couldn't see any pictures. You needed like a password
to get into I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Looking at the screenshots. Now that's tough. So there's no
I mean, so there is somebody with Michael's last name
getting married to a Stephanie, but we all know if that's.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Right, and I mean we just know it's in Maryland,
and like, okay, you.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Know who could be anyone? Sure? Okay? Is there is
there a reason why he hasn't met your friends? More
so you don't think the timing's right. Has he been
against it?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, he's been. He's been heading on that one a
little bit.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
I have.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
I have actually on a couple occasions, been like, you know,
my friends and they are going out, come out, sure,
you know, meet him, and he has had.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Things have you met his friends.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I have met God no like work friends.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I feel like about any friend, any friends, anybody from
his life.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I went to a work happy hour.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Okay, that's good. That's good. How long ago is that?

Speaker 2 (03:10):
That would have been towards the beginning? It was super casual.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Okay, that's fine.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Did he did he seem like he was interested in
you when you went there? Or did he introduce you
as a friend?

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Good question.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Oh I was definitely introduced as a friend because it
was right at the start.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Okay, that's that's fair.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
FA super casual.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
So let's say this, Kate, Well, have sauce call from
the flower company, all from the roses. They should go
to you girlfriend officially of a month, but together for
three months. It we'll try to get some answers for you.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Okay, yeah, thank you, I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
I give me three minutes. It's War of the Roses
an intern John in the Morning show. It's War the
Rosies interns John in your morning show. Kate, let me
recap this quick. You and Michael Tail as old as time,
as far as dating in twenty twenty five, matched on
Tinder a couple months ago. You guys were kind of
hanging out for a little bit, finally had the what
are we talk about? A month ago decide to sell down.

(04:07):
Everything was going well, he has not met your friends yet,
and because of that, your best he did some research
of her own, found a wedding registry website that has
Michael's name, and then a woman named Stephanie, although Michael
does have a common last name, so it's a good
chance that it's not him. However, the wedding appears to
be in Maryland. That's kind of where we're at, right,

(04:30):
that is correct, And you mentioned that you have not
met his friend. He has not met your friends. However,
you went to a happy hour at his work when
you guys first started hanging out, and so you've at
least met some of his work colleagues.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Right, yep, that's that's right.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Okay, I guess before let's just say things get crazy
and he is getting married. Has there been If we
assume that's the truth, is there anything else that stands
out as being like, oh, that would make sense or no,
I'm not saying is the truth, But is there anything
else that like, you can't go to his place at
certain hours, he only calls you a certain times anything
like that at all.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Well, we hang out at my place. I mean that's
that's where we hang out.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Okay, Okay, that's all right, So let's say I'm.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
More comfortable with that. So I've been happy, but now
I'm like.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Oh no, I get is the house who does? All right?
So let's do this. We'll call him Sauce off of
the flowers should go to you. If they do, we'll
put them on hole. Nothing's lost if they go as
somebody else because an answer spar you. Okay, yes, I
on second, now I'll I'll get it, don't worry about it.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Hello, I'm calling for Michael.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Yes, that's a tannob Hi.

Speaker 4 (05:58):

a new local flower shop, were called Wymus Flowers, and

Speaker 3 (06:23):

codes all over downtown. Maybe you're at the coffee shop.
I'm not really sure, but you won a free dozen
red roses and they can go wherever you want. We
don't need your credit card Infoh nothing. We're just trying
to get our product out there now that you know
the holidays are over, starting to get nicer out and

(06:46):
we just want to get some more foot traffic.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
All right, then, how much is this? I mean, it's free.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
We don't need your credit card info. We just are
hoping that maybe you come back to us whenever you
want to send flowers again, just so that you actually
see the product, so you can send them wherever. But
we do hope do you keep them local, get the
word out there, support a local business, all the good stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
All right, I guess I'll do it, Okay.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
I don't want to twist your arm. I mean, I
can move on to the other people we have that
could possibly win, but it's totally up to you.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
No, No, I'll do it.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
OHI great, And then let me just get some info
from you. We're gonna make a little file in case
you do end up loving the flowers a side that
you want to come back. So who is the name
of the person that you want to send them to. Yeah, Stephanie, Stephanie,
is that with a pH or.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
An f I know it's a pH awesome?

Speaker 4 (07:43):

a romantic.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
All right, I know it's my fiance.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Your fiance. Okay, cool, congratulations. When's the wedding?

Speaker 3 (07:57):

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Relationship with this here as well. Hold on, we're doing
more of the roses.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
What's going on the show.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
I need to know that. So, Michael, that is your girlfriend?
Kate on the phone? Yeah, does your fiance? No, you
have a girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I hope you hold on? Looks up. Oh my god, yeah,
I'm looking like it's not what it seems.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Okay, I love this game.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
So Michael, you're not getting married in ten weeks.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
God, Michael, Michael, what does it seem like and what's
actually going on?

Speaker 4 (09:10):
I believe?

Speaker 3 (09:12):
All right?

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Look, I mean, first of all, can I just say
that engage isn't married?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Okay, I'm not married yet.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Got nothing to do with you ever. Again, you cannot
talk yourself.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
So Michael, you are then admitting that you are an
engage man.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Sounds like it, I mean like.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Not yet, not yet?

Speaker 1 (09:38):
No, you're engaged, idiot, You're not married yet, so you
are engaged, but you all still have a girlfriend.

Speaker 5 (09:48):
Yeah, and there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Look opinion, I mean so good.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Can you be okay with if your fiance right now
now had a boyfriend, that'd be okay because she's not
married yet.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
What well, first of all, you know her friends and
and all that. You know, if something was going on,
I'm sure she would tell me. And she knows.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
About me, Michael, right right, Stephanie, she knows about me.
If you've told her, she's okay with that?

Speaker 5 (10:24):
Look, can I be honest? Look, I was just trying
to have a little bit of fun here before.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
So you're gonna mess with other people's feelings so that you.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Have, so you you're sting with my life, just blowing
up my life so you can have a little fun.
I called them to see if you were cheating on me,
and you're saying, because you're not married, what you're doing
is not cheating.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Like.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Weel. I wish you the best, I think and if
everybody know Stephanie, please ender this and you just tell
her that technically didn't break the law. Okay.
