Lauren and Ben have been dating one another for a little over three months after meeting at a bar almost four months ago. Lauren tells us that things have been great for the most part, but she has noticed that Ben started texting her from a different phone, which Ben claimed was his work phone. At the same time, Lauren has noticed that Ben texts Lauren about calling her before he actually does. Lauren isn’t exactly sure what’s going on, but she asks for our help to see what’s going on.

We call Ben pretending to offer him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask who Ben wants them sent to, he asks if we can send them to his wife Kim.. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:06):
More of the Roses on Internshohn in your morning show.
We want you to be in a happy and healthy relationship.
That's why when you think something's off, sometimes it's best
you just rip off the bandbate and see what's going on.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
That's what we do, Lauren, good morning, bye, good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
So walk us through this. You and Ben have been together?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
How long?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
We've been together for about three months? Like two weeks
of like, you know, courting whatever, but like three months
of actual dating.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
You know, if I'm reading this right, You guys met
in the wild.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
In the wild, Yeah, we met at a bark like
real people.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Not on an app.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
He came up to me, we started talking, and we've
exchanged numbers.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I mean my first thought was, dude's got game to
be able to pick you up in a bar.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah, like that's normal, though I thought I picked up
at a bar before.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay, Okay, So two weeks of like dating, three months
of we are official, we're a couple. This is what
we're doing. But here we are doing War of the Roses.
So what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
So I'm doing it because he's a I feel like
he's mature, he has a job, he's like a big boy.
But like, there have just been some weird things with
his phone. Okay, nothing was wrong at the beginning, you know,
nothing at all. We were going at it.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
It was good.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
But then he started he started texting me from his
work phone, which is it's a completely different from the
phone from his personal so it's a different number and like,
but on top of that, like that's weird, just because
like you don't really think you're like the whole point
of a work phone is so it's different from your
personal But on top of that, he would also like

(01:59):
text me to let me know he's about to call me,
Like he would text me five minutes before he called me,
just to check in.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Interesting, that's kind of weird. Okay, Like it's weird.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Well, yeah, a couple of things real quick. Does he
and you don't have to say too much of people
want dude, does he have a job where it makes
sense for him to have a work phone?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Se? I don't really know, because I don't know that
much about his job, but I would assume that anybody. Okay,
but unless you work in like retail or something, sure
you probably would. How it's acceptable to have a workphone, right, Like.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
You can yeah, fallow up question his personal phone? Is
it an iPhone?

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:43):
When you guys text, personal phone messages come through blue.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Both have iPhones.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
When he texts you from his work phone, was it
still coming through blue or is it coming through green
like he's texting from Android.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Oh wow, that's a really good question. Let me check
right now. It is coming through they're green.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
You're right, okay, Okay, what does that mean?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Well, that could mean nothing or like my first.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Thought, you're scared.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
My first thought this base on previous roses.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
He could have gotten a burner phone, yeah, if he
is hiding something, but it could.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Be his office, yes, or he just doesn't want to
go to his iCloud.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
That's fair too. That's that's all. That's all. That's all potential. Okay,
so hypothetically, but that's.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Kind of why you want to do this, Lauren, Right
is because the phone has been.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Off so to speak.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, it's just a weird like it just it doesn't
make sense, it really is.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
So let's do this. We'll call him, I guess we'll
call the personal line first. Sauce Lot from the flowers
clearly should go to you girlfriend. Three months they go
to you we'll put them on hold. See what you
want to do if they go as somebody else. Look
at some answers for you. Okay, all wore the roses
on Intern John in your morning show in less than
three minutes. It's wore the roses on Intern John and

(04:00):
your Morning show, Lauren. Let me recap this quick. You
and Ben met out in the wild. He approached you
at a bar. You guys kind of talked for about
two weeks, been dating officially for three months. You said
you like the fact that he's mature, also very nice
to you. But as it always goes, the phone has
kind of been the reason we're doing roses. All of

(04:21):
a sudden, out of the blue, he started texting you
from a different number, which he said was his work phone.
Kind of I guess a relevant detail as he was
texting you before from his personal phone. iPhone messages work
phone came through green, which could mean Android for work,
could mean a sauce at the point of maybe one,
A zycloud, could be a could mean a lot of
things past roses.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
To be honest with you, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Which is fair.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
You also mentioned that recently he'll text you before he
calls you. Like, Hey, I'm gonna call you five minutes,
which that's amazing, bit odd. It's a bit odd unless
I mean, unless you're busy all the time. But I
don't know. But probably the biggest flag we're just talking
about off the air, you did some digging.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
It found he has two instagrams.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
That now that's the weirdest thing. Right of them seem personal.
One isn't for a business or anything. Both of them
seem like.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I'm looking a computer.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, I'm looking at the screenshots you sent. So there's
the one that you follow that looks like a basic
dude Instagram. The other one is private that looks like
it has more posts, but the photo can't really tell
what's going on there, So.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
That that is odd.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
It's frightening.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
And he's never mentioned the second account, like he's never
bried up. It's just you were doing some digging and
you found.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
It, not even once through it up once.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
So this we're gonna do. Sauce is gonna call from
the flower company, off from the Roses. They should go
to you girlfriend three months. If they go to you,
we'll put him on hold. See what you want to you.
We can hang up. We can do whatever. If they
go to somebody else, though, we'll get some answers for you.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Okay, Okay, no, no, it's all good. It's all either way,
it's gonna be good.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
So let's uh, because I think the anxiety of not
knowing is far worse than actually knowing. I'm not trying
to get him going. We'll call the personal line first.
If he has Nancy, we'll call the other one.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Hello.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Hi, I'm calling for Ben.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
This is he. How can I help you? Hi?

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Then, my name is Jordan. I'm calling you from a
new local flower shop. We're called Wymus Flowers, and you
actually want our weekly contest of a dozen red roses
and we just want to try to get them out today,
you know, before the weekend and everything. So can I
just figure out who you want to send them to
so we can just you know, get you your prize.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Hey, I'm not really interested in signing up for or
anything or being scammed or whatever it is that you're doing.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Okay, it's not a scam.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
It's it's a contest that you entered, and maybe I
mean you had to have seen our QR codes around
town to enter.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
We're just a new local flower shop.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
We have them all over as stickers, so maybe you're
born in line somewhere and it's entered.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
But you did win our weekly contest.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
We're just trying to get our product out there in
the community, and you can also send them around the country,
but we would love it if you kept it local
if possible. But you don't have to, Okay, I guess
your kind of cardiffe or anything.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
So yeah, that's what it was about to be.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
My next question. No, I don't neither at all.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
We just want you to see how gorgeous our flowers
are so that you come back and just use them
for whatever special occasion might you know, show up.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
In your life.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
All right, I guess all right?

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Cool, and we're just gonna make a little file for you.
So who are you sending them to?

Speaker 2 (07:53):
My wife?

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Kim?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Kim?

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Cool? And I was gonna ask what she is to you?
Perfect wife?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
How long have you guys been married?

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Our anniversary to summer be four years? Marriage four years?

Speaker 3 (08:07):

Speaker 4 (08:10):

Speaker 3 (08:13):

Speaker 2 (08:15):

Speaker 1 (08:26):

need to let you know this, Lauren, did you know
he was married?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
He told me he was leaving her, so I knew
he was married. But he told me that he was
separating and divorcing Laurence.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Okay, but Lauren, Lauren, we don't judge. When when did
you know he was married? Shed from the very beginning.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
No, you didn't tell me on our first dates? Remotely true?

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Okay, Lauren, No, but Lauren, Lauren, la I love you.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I love your girl. Me out here though. When did
you know he was married? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Like two weeks in a week and a half in,
I don't know. But it doesn't matter. He told me
he was leaving her. He said you was leaving her.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Okay, Ben.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Lied?

Speaker 2 (09:23):
You lied to me?

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Well, I mean, I oh, you.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Can't see that word either, Ben? So you are you
planning on leaving your wife? Doesn't see him? I could
be given a free he's sending rose clearly not who
gets to square Benjamin? If I may? Yes? Okay, are
you we've paid? Yeah, we paid some problems. You know,

(09:48):
like you have a girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
So you're stating someone else because you've had some problems.
That's so discuss You're disgusting.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
I mean you so.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Yeah, I say you stayed and hung out with him?

Speaker 2 (09:59):

Speaker 1 (10:03):

out at his place?

Having?

Speaker 3 (10:46):
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
What does that mean? What does that mean? We've had
this conversation. Why are you doing this on the radio
now when we've done it in person?

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Already told me that your wife knows about me?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Oh my god, You're so crazy that you're trying to
do this in public now because I wouldn't give you
what you wanted in private is insane in humanity?

Speaker 3 (11:06):
You know what you're saying. That is, you're you're like
a narcissist.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
No question, you can't answer the question.

Speaker 5 (11:12):

and then you know you're worth because you're not worth
this at all. Yes, you can find somebody that's single
that gives you all the attention in the world. Yes,

Which I wish you would have said something to us,
so we weren't wasting our time.
