Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are not.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
What I call a it's way up with Angela Yee
and I am in Detroit, as we will say what up?
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Though, there was definitely a heat advisory in effect here
yesterday and I felt it. And I'm actually out here
for the Clarissa Shields fight that's going to be happening
tomorrow at Little Caesar's Arena. We went to her workout
in the gym, no air conditioning, and when I tell you,
it was hot, hot, hut. I can't believe I was
(00:39):
there for that long. Now, Dan, you're in New York,
my producer. How's the weather there? It is hot ninety
seven degrees.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
There in ninety six yep, yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
This weather is no joke.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I've been I don't know what things are going to
look like five years from now. But it's a Friday,
so of course we have new music Friday. Of course
we start to show off with some love and some positivity. Also,
while I'm out here, I was definitely hitting the town
in Detroit, as I always do. So I'll talk about
that in about last night. But let's talk about you.
(01:11):
Who do you want to shine a light on? Who
do you want to spread some love to?
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Call us up.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is a
number again, that's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Call us up.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Let's shine a light Wait in what oh Central Seaingdrey,
here you go?
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Oh go ahead now right now?
Speaker 3 (01:30):
All right, well listen, this is exciting because we have
some new music for our new Music Friday. Here is
which one by Drake and Central Scene A.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Shine.
Speaker 6 (01:41):
Turn your lights on, y'all, your light so spreading love
to those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Shine a light on them, Shine a light on them.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
It's time to shine a light on all right.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
It's way up for angela ye, and it's time to
shine a light. And today I want to shine a
light on Isaac case Third. He is the founder of
fan base, and they have just raised over twelve point
seven million dollars in their crowdfunding campaign. He said, instead
of relying on traditional venture capital, fan bases opening the
(02:15):
door for everyday people to invest in the next generation
of social apps. That's according to the caption as he
posted about them raising that money. They're trying to raise
about seventeen million dollars to be able to get everything
done that they need to. But I will say that
this is something that he's been working on for quite
some time, and this.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Is something that we need. As we're thinking about DEI
and with thinking.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
About spaces for black people, we're also thinking about making
sure that we can have spaces like our own Instagram
or Twitter so we don't have to rely on these
other on these other apps. All right, now, let's shine
a light on him. Now, who do you want to
shine a light on? Eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty red?
Speaker 2 (02:56):
What's good? Who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 1 (02:59):
I want to show the light on. Her name was
Queen O City, and but her name is Tina Harris.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Okay on a real queen.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
We have a three year old baby, yes, queen, her
name Queen Scarlet. You know what I mean. She do
everything she can for this baby, or I'll do too.
Shine a light on real woman?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
So what makes you say this? Is she put you
through something? I mean, did you put her through something?
Is what I meant?
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yes, I did.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I know.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I mean, I'll make my mistakes, but I made up
for the mistakes.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
I was gonna say mistakes as long as you're learning
from your mistakes and not repeating them.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
That's the most important thing.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
I hope she hit us.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
I appreciate you, queen all.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Right, thank you so much, and shine a light on you,
on your lovely beautiful.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Wife, beautiful Queen Scarlett, and your beautiful Queen Scarlet. Thank
you for calling.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Well, that was shining light eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty fifty. In case you couldn't get through, you
can always leave a message in China.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Light that way. And when we come back, we have
your yet.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
And since I'm in Detroit and I'm here for this
Clarissa Shields fight, let's start it off with that.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
She had her boxing workout yesterday.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
We had a chance to go and I'll tell you
what she had to say about the fight that's happening tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Don't she about to blow the lead.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Ab off this?
Speaker 4 (04:14):
But let's get it.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling that yee te Come and.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Get the tea.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
It's way up at Angela yee and it is time
for your yee te Live from the d from Detroit
from WJLB, and let's get started with Clarissa shield She
is outside. We were at the gym yesterday getting ready
for her big fight tomorrow. She had a press conference,
and amongst the things she talked about, she discussed Laila
Ali and how she was able to get that fifteen
(04:39):
million dollars to potentially fight Laila Ali, but they have
not heard anything back from her. In addition to that,
you know, this is gonna be a landmark fight, and
one of the main things that people need to know
about this is that women are the ones who are
really buying tickets to this fight at Little Caesars Arena
here in Detroit. Here is is what happened when I
(05:01):
asked Clarissa about that at her press conference. Hey, god mother,
I saw the number as far as women who are
buying tickets for the fight.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
How I signifequent is that for.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
You to see over seventy percent of the tickets sold
over women.
Speaker 8 (05:12):
I was very shocked to see that because I was
the woman that believed that the reason women's sports don't
prosper is because women don't support women. To see that
seventy one percent purchase tickets to come here and just
about a year ago this was the opposite. To see
now that it's more women who got tickets, I am
very like maybe the girlies do rock with me.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
You know, and right in the comments, people were like, yes,
we absolutely do rock with you. So shout out to
her for that. That fight is happening tomorrow and in
other talks about women in sports, Taylor Ruggs broke a
lot of hearts when it was revealed that she got married.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
People had no idea that she was even engaged.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
You know, she's always been really private about her relationship,
but she did have a star studied wedding that was
in New York City, and a lot of people don't
know much about her her husband. But when she was
on way up with ye here's what she had to
say about her relationship.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
I am very loved and in love.
Speaker 8 (06:08):
But he is truly like the most secure, most supportive,
most encouraging grandest man.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
All right.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Well, the two of them met while he was in
his final year at Harvard Law School. He proposed by
staging an elaborate scavenger hunt across the city that ended
with a backroom dinner at their favorite pizza spot with
about one hundred and ninety friends and family at the ceremony.
There were no phones that were allowed, by the way,
so you know, a lot of people aren't. His name
(06:38):
is Shane Fowler in case anybody wants to know, so
shout out to them. Congratulations. She looked absolutely amazing. All right,
now let's talk about your boy Ace from Love Island.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Dan. You are a fan of Ace, correct?
Speaker 4 (06:52):
I think school guy?
Speaker 2 (06:54):
You know what I do like about Ace?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
I did really enjoy seeing all his dances on Zoom,
like where he doing dance classes with people.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Yeah, it's fun.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
I thought that was actually fun and nice to see.
He had like people from all over on these zooms
from different countries and everything.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
But anyway, he also raps. Did you know that?
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Yes? I did? You did well because of his tiktoks?
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yes, okay, well here is Ace and tell me what
you think about this song.
Speaker 9 (07:21):
I don't care for the gossiping, the feedback when it
was face to face in the builder, they all creep
back on the time of riding around with the seatback
because he has brings in a comma system and squeeze
back the hip jokes and.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
Mad front of the keeping y'all keep that joke, kids.
I stacked my money.
Speaker 9 (07:34):
Now y'all can't reach that hating on the next man. Nah,
I can't beat that twenty four hours in the days
that don't see that.
Speaker 6 (07:40):
So I'm the rain leader.
Speaker 9 (07:41):
Huh okay, yeah, I'll beat that.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
What he did was that like a this song for
Love Island people, for the haters, for the haters.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
All right, well he did adjust everything that happened inside
the villa. What's it? I think? Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
You know, sometimes when people are in a certain position
and you have them in a box, it's hard for
you to look at them in a different way. It
was actually funny. Shout out to Ace boogie. All right,
well that is your yea tea. And when we come back,
we have about last night. That's where we discussed what
we did last night. I told you already I'm outside,
but I'm gonna tell you all the places that I went.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Every time I come here. It's like jam packed. It's
way up.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I went down, Yo, it's way up with Angela. Ye,
And it is time for about last night. And as
you know, I'm in Detroit, Dan. Doesn't it feel like
I've been in Detroit a lot lately?
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yes, your second home, that's whatever I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
I'm actually coming back here in a couple of weeks too.
But when I will tell you about last night. The
first thing I did when I landed here, did I
just get here?
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (08:46):
When I landed here, the first thing I did was
go to the lip Bar that is my girl, Melissa
Butler's establishment, and actually bought a whole bunch of things,
got my makeup done, So I appreciate that. That was
my first Then the second stop was going to see
Clarissa Shields. She was boxing yesterday and not not professionally boxing,
(09:07):
but she had a press conference and then we got
a chance to watch her work out in the ring.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
You know, her opponent was there as.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Well, as she called it the ops, Lonnie Daniels was
there too, so we had a chance to see that.
As soon as I left there, we went straight to
Fixings in Detroit. Shout out to my guy Kevin Johnson
kJ that owns fixens. You know, he has one in Sacramento,
he has one in Tulsa, he has one in LA
and now one here in Detroit.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Amazing, amazing food.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
It was a hope every time I go there, I
bring like a whole bunch of people with me. Then
after that we left and went straight to Parlay and
had some drinks there that's actually where Clarissa Shields had
her album listening party the other day. And then after
that we went to the Chanela Hotel where they have
their little hidden bar in there, and that was my
whole night.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Dan very active, So you got drunk.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
I was actually, you know what Christal would shout to
my my girl Crystal. Crystal was with us and she
doesn't drink right now, she's getting ready for her birthday trip,
so beforehand she's not having any drinks. So she was
just having mock tails and cranberry juice all night. And
so I was like, I admire that. That's amazing. I'm
gonna work on that. But what I was doing was
controlling how much I was drinking. So I was nursing
(10:18):
my drinks all night, and then I would get a
selter and add Celtic to the drink.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
For real. I did good. I feel like I did it.
And I didn't do any.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Shots because I knew I had to work today all day.
All right, Well that is about last night, and when
we come back, oh, it's time for tell us a secret.
Eight hundred to nine two fifty one fifty. I know
y'all got some secrets to share. With us on a Friday.
That number is eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Maybe you're parading around like you're a vegetarian, but secretly
(10:48):
you eat meat. Well, you know what, you could call
us and tell us it's no judgment. Dan just found
out yesterday that eggs are not vegetarian.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
No, my take is that eggs are not vegetarian. Yes,
that is my take.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Vegans don't eat eggs.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Nope, vegetarian shouldn't either. But we're straying off topic here.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
All right. Anyway, eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Call us up, tell us a secret. It's way up,
way up. This is a judgment free zone. Tell us
a secret. What's up?
Speaker 3 (11:17):
His way up at angela yee? And it is time
for tell us a secret. Eight hundred two ninety two
fifty one fifty is the number. Any secret you have,
We're just gonna listen. It's no judgment zone. What's up, anonymous?
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Call it? Tell us a secret.
Speaker 7 (11:30):
I got a crazy secret.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I'm ready.
Speaker 7 (11:33):
So I cheated on my girlfriend recently.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
With us sister.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Okay, how did this go down?
Speaker 7 (11:38):
So she was out of town, she works business and
her sister stays with us. Actually, Oh, and we were
just at the house drinking and one thing led to another.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Why does her sister stay with you guys?
Speaker 1 (11:51):
She was in a relationship of a brief relationship, and
she was just crashing with us for a little while.
Speaker 7 (11:56):
So, I mean, I kind of feel bad about it.
I really don't know what to do. It is want
you should right now. It's kind of awkward.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
So it's crazy you think it's going to happen again.
Speaker 7 (12:07):
Probably not.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
This is like the movies. You ever see the movie
soul Food I have, it'll make you think.
Speaker 7 (12:13):
Of that a little bit, my family, Yeah, for sure?
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Are you attracted to that? Were you always attracted to
the sister? Or do you feel like there was just
a one time thing. It wouldn't happen if y'all wouldn't
have been drinking.
Speaker 7 (12:25):
I feel like it was just an e spirital moment
thing we were buy ourselves and she was gone and
it just happened. I mean, I'm not physically attracted to it.
I feel like it just happened.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Hmm, what happens if her sister goes out of town again?
I'll probably leave you too, Okay, Oh.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
I don't even know what to tell you. At least
you feel bad about it. That shows you got a soul.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Definitely, definitely, and you love her. You love your girlfriend.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
Though, I do, I definitely do. We got two kids.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Oh my gosh, you st up with the kids.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Aunt, Yeah, I did.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Thank you for sharingh for having me.
Speaker 7 (13:00):
I appreciate it all.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
For taking Oh, thank you, I'll take that.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Well, that was tell us a secret eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty Just in case you couldn't
get through. You can always leave a message and tell
us a secret. That way, of course you can. It's
a no judgment zone. And if you leave a message,
we really can't judge you. And when we come back.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
We have your yee t. And let's talk about co parenting.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Gennie May is talking about the ups and downs of
co parenting and also having to spend some time away
from her daughter. Okay, so it looks like they've grown
past being petty and now she's got some real things
to discuss.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Its way up, they say in the rooms, from Industry
Shade to.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
All of gossip out sending Angela's speeling that.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Yet, what's up? Its way up?
Speaker 3 (13:43):
At angela ye and let's get into your y e te.
So Genie Mai has opened up about co parenting. She
posted on social media to all my co parenting mama's
out there, your proof that love can thrive in any situation.
She said, every time Coco was with her other home,
I take this time, and for me, this is what
co parenting looks like. A heart split in two places,
(14:04):
but still learning how to beat fully. It's harder than
I ever imagined. Loving her so much, but loving her
from far away. There's no guidebook for this part of motherhood.
As sit here and I let the eight be what
it is. Missing her is part of the job, but
so's filling myself back up so I have more love
to give when she runs back to me. And she
ended it with every mama sharing her child, this is
your reminder your happiness is not separate from theirs.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
When you shine, they feel it too, all right.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
And Victoria Monet recently talked about a music executive telling
her that if she had a child, her career would
slow down and that she should perhaps have an abortion.
Here or she is talking to I Am O with
Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson on that podcast talking about
that situation.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
I had a person on my team.
Speaker 10 (14:50):
Though the intentions were good, really really hurt my feelings
because they made a PowerPoint presentation about how difficult it
will be for me, how much what childcare is, and
the finale of the presentation was what's the rush? So
it felt like an encouragement to get an abortion.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Well, the love that she has for her daughter, Hazel
Monet is untoppable. Her daughter's four years old now, and
they also have a book together called Everywhere You Are.
And Fat Joe, according to Paperwork, is saying that this
ongoing legal battle that he has with his ex employee
Terrence Ta Dixon has taken a toll on his bake
account and cost him ten million dollars, according to court
(15:30):
documents obtained by Complex, Yeah, something like that will definitely
slow down certain people from wanting to work with you.
So we'll see what happens with this twenty million dollar
lawsuit against Fat Joe and Sean Kingston's mother, Janis Turner,
has been sentenced to five years in this South Florida
one million dollar fraud case.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
They sentenced her on Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
She also has three years of probation after being convicted
alongside her son Sean Kingston. They were arrested on May
twenty third of twenty twenty four. Now they have falsely
claimed to have made wire payments for merchandise that they obtained,
but investigators later confirmed that the payments were never completed
and they got more than one million dollars worth of
goods and assets without paying for them. All right, well
(16:13):
that is your yut and when we come back. We
have under the radar stories that are flying under the radar,
but you need to know about them. One of them
is about birth control from men that doesn't mess with
your testosterone levels. Will tell you about it. It's way up.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Take the news.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
News.
Speaker 6 (16:28):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
What's up his way up at Angela Yee and it
is time to go under the radar. These are the
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines, but you
need to know about them.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Trump the administration.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Is now saying that TikTok will go dark if China
doesn't give up that control before a deadline of September seventeenth.
They're going to either have to be sold or face
a band i feel like this keeps on happening. They've
already extended that deadline three times since Donald Trump's been
in office, kind of like these tariff deadlines. All right,
And a birth control pill for men that will temporarily
(17:04):
stop sperm without hormones has passed a safety trial. It's
a first of its kind male birth control pill, and
they're hoping that this will open the door to a
new era of contraception. You know, a lot of men,
a lot younger, are now getting vasectomies, but something like this,
it temporarily halts sperm production and it does not affect
your testosterone levels. It works by blocking a protein that
(17:25):
will play a key role in the sperm making process.
And it's also reversible. So that's why people like the
idea of something like this happening.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Could you see yourself doing this, Dan.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
Nope, not anymore, at least back in my college days. Definitely.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
All right.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Well, what they've done is they've tested this in non
human primates, and so animals do fully regain fertility after
stopping the drug within six weeks in mice and ten
to fifteen weeks in primates. So there were no side
effects in either group. As well, and that is you're
under the radar. We do have the way it mixed
for you at the top of the hour. Plus of
(17:58):
course it's a new music. We got that for you
as well, and we got your guru up the gram today.
Is it true that a top tier man is really
just an average woman?
Speaker 2 (18:09):
We'll talk about it. It's way up.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
She's like to talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jean Man.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
What's up as way up at angela yee and it
is time for your yea t Now, this is a
crazy story that I saw yesterday. Glorilla got arrested for
a cannabis Apparently her home was invaded and they found
some some marijuana. Now, she posted crazy my house got
home invaded Saturday while I was in Indianapolis performing for
the WNBA All Star Game. She said, instead of focusing
(18:43):
on finding the suspects, they focused on some cannabis. So
I wasn't buzzing my house got robbed. I wasn't home,
she said. She was the only one that got arrested,
not the people that broke into her house, and that
was the tea.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Doesn't that sound crazy.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
That doesn't sound fair at all.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
She believed she was unlawfully targeted, and that's what she's saying.
And I agree with her. I mean, come on, guys,
like some cannabis in her house? Does anybody care about
weed anymore?
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Yeah, one thing's got nothing to do with the other.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
That's a shame.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Imagine your house gets broken into and now you get
in trouble.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
All right, Well, Donald Trump man the White House is
bashing South Park after they did a parody of him.
I so everybody talking about this, I gotta watch the
full episode They did respond to that Wednesday night South
Park season twenty seven premiere where Donald Trump is basically
begging for sex from Satan and Trump is actually fully
(19:33):
nude on this episode.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Did you watch the whole thing?
Speaker 5 (19:37):
Dan?
Speaker 4 (19:37):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (19:37):
I did.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
I love South Park?
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Me too.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
I think they get away with stuff that nobody else
can get away with. All right, well, there was some
Epstein jokes that we know Donald Trump did not appreciate.
So feels like south Park they just got there one
point five billion dollar deal.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
They'll be okay.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
But here is a little snippet from that, just so
you can get an idea, And there were some tiny
penis jokes throughout.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Here's one of them.
Speaker 9 (19:58):
I don't want through work now, come on, hey, and
I've been working hard all day.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
You haven't been working.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
You've been doing your stupid names and just brownny. I
don't thing there. You can't make this bed.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
We're kind of seeing you figure too small out.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Still you that's great?
Speaker 3 (20:17):
You signed this five year deal with Paramount g at
that one point five billion, and then do what an
episode distant Trump and there's nothing he could do about.

Kashi's what's your question?
Speaker 1 (21:05):
I live with my brother and I slip basically to
sleep with his girl while he at work. I don't
want to tell him because he's gonna kick me out.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
So that's the only reason I don't want to tell him.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
It's not that you feel bad, it's just that you
don't want to get kicked out.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Yeah, because you know I don't have a place I'm
trying to you know, come up.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Yeah, well you should have thought about that. Why did
you How did you even start sleeping with his girl?
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Well, when I come off the shower, she walked by,
and basically she pushed the do open because my brother
wasn't there, and I knew.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
She was there.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
She was basically trying to see me. You know what
I mean?
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Well, you know your brother is going to kick you out,
and not just kick you out, but also probably never
mess with you again.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Yeah, but I don't think she should because I love
him and it was bound to happen because it's like
she's always there.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
I just don't understand why you're not taking no accountability
for the fact that you are sleeping with your brother's girl.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
But is she trying to push up on me? That's
why you don't want me.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
You don't have a choice.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
That's your brother, I know, but he gotta correct his situation.
Maybe he ain't putting a pick down on her right
or someone.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
Ye, but you got to correct your situation. You're staying
at his house, I know.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
But at the end of the day, come on, So
I'm a good looking.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Brother, I would hope, but that you could trust your brother.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
If you can't trust your own flesh and blood around
your girl, who can you trust?
Speaker 1 (22:25):
That is true? Bo Ye, but look at the circumstance.
She's there when I'm there, and I try to avoid
as possible because I know she you know she bangs.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Are you really trying to avoid it?
Speaker 1 (22:38):
I'm telling you one hundred percent because I love my
brother and I don't want to be homeless. You know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Why why do you.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Live with your brother? What's going on with you that
you don't have your own place?
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Well, I just came home from doing a small you know,
some some promise.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
So he's looking out for you.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
You know your brother is going to be devastated by
this betrayal.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Yeah, I know, but you know what, at the end
of the he's still gonna be my brother. Was it
he kicked me out or not? And homegirl just gonna
probably do it to somebody else. So I'd rather be
me opposed to somebody.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Oh my god, you're such a martyr, so you're taking
the bullet.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
You rather be you than someone on the street.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
I mean, I didn't mean to do it, but it
just happened.
Speaker 10 (23:18):
You.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
You gotta make better decisions.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Yeah, I think I can. But at the end of
the day, she got a fatty.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
But I see this ain't going nowhere.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
I advise you to start looking for a place now
because you're gonna get kicked out and you're gonna continue
to make bad decisions. I just want you to take
some accountability for yourself. You know, you don't have to
do certain things. If she came on to you, you
know what you should have did. Told your brother he.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Wouldn't believe me because he's in love with her.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
His girl ain't ish and you're saying he's naive, but
you ain't got to be part of that circus.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
That's true. I just came home. I'm trying to do
good things for the world.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Start off by doing the right thing by your family.
Some of the hardest things to do in life is
the right thing.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Yeah, I know, Showy, ad and Fatty and I can't
do it again. Thanks to your advice, because I really
needed someone to help me in that situation. And you
definitely did that. Ye, you really.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Did all right, Thank you, Thank you for calling.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
You're welcome. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. It's ask
ye and we are here to help. It's designed for you.
And when we come back. Speaking of help, I want
to play this the Guru of the Gram. Now this
has gone viral and I'm gonna play it for you
when we come back. But is it true that the
ideal man is really an average woman? We'll break it
(24:39):
down for you when we come back. Dan, calm down,
we'll talk about it.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
It's way up. They talked that talk.
Speaker 6 (24:47):
But is a kapan nah. They are gurus of the gram.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Its way up with Angela yee and it's time for
Gurus of the Gram. And we played this audio for
you Jesse dot Song on TikTok. People are going crazy
with responses about whether or not a top tier man
is just an average woman.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 11 (25:07):
Even a top tier man is just an average woman.
A man who doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, doesn't she doesn't gambo,
no criminal records, stable job, coax cleans, emotionally stable, respects others,
kind to his family. Isn't that kind of a man
so rare? But honestly, every one of my female friends
missed that standards and more so, Yeah, even the best
(25:29):
man is just an average woman.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
All right, Well, what do you think?
Speaker 1 (25:33):
Dan?
Speaker 2 (25:33):
And I'm gonna tell you what I think.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
I actually hear what she's saying loud and clear, and
I understand what she's saying.
Speaker 7 (25:39):
Now.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
My rebuttal to this is that, especially like for someone
like me growing up, I felt like I wasn't getting
any attention from any of the girls because I was
the nice guy. And then all the girls that I
had crushes on that I thought were really hot, we're
only going for the quote unquote bad guys. So when
I went to college, I kind of changed around, and
then all of a sudden started getting all this attention
(26:01):
from women. So I'm not blaming the woman for.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
It's like victim blaming.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
No, it's not. I'm not blaming. I'm not blaming you.
I'm just saying, like I grew up thinking like nice guys,
finish last.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Okay, Well, I'm gonna tell you what my thoughts are.
And I think this is true not just in relationships,
but in the workplace.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Women.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
For some reason, we have like these standards put on
us by society where we got to like overly achieve.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
All the time. And so I think it comes from that.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
And even me having a brother and it's just me
and my brother, a girl and a boy. The way
that my brother was raised and given grace was way
different than I was. And so I do think, you know,
how they say they raise our girls and praise our boys,
I do think that there is something to that, if
that makes sense.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
I mean, I agree with that I was raised extremely
differently than my sister, like I didn't have a curfew
and all that.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Yeah, so I think that's part of it.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
I do want to say, though, to your point, like
low criminal record doesn't bother me.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
You're furthering my point, you know.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
And women do say that all the time, will be like,
why can't you just be a man to like our
best friend and then we could be together. But anyway,
just an interesting question. Can I wait to hear what
your thoughts are? And of course we're going to play
him in last word eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty call us.
Speaker 9 (27:17):
Up, back up the phone, Tapian to get your voice heard.
Speaker 6 (27:21):
What the word is is the last word on Way
Up with Angela?
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Ye?
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Yeah? What's good is Way Up with Angela? Yee?
Speaker 3 (27:28):
And Happy Friday? And what an active weekend this is
going to be already. I also have to say a
rest and peace to Rayjjon. They're going to be having
a service for him on Saturday as well. So you
can look on Ragejajon's page and all the information is
posted there. Great person, great comedian, great entrepreneur. I am
in Detroit and heading out to go see Clarissa Shields.
(27:51):
Way in is about to happen, and then the big
fight at Little Caesar's Arena tomorrow sold out. Over seventy
percent of the tickets We're sold to women, and I'm
one of those women. So I will be on site
and we'll be paying attention heavily to what's going on.
You know, I'm gonna be, you know, at my first
ever Clarissa Shields fight. So I'm glad that I was
able to make it out here for that. And as
(28:12):
you know, this is your show, so you have the
last words.
Speaker 12 (28:16):
Hi, it's back. I'm from Brooklyn, New York. So I
actually agree with Jeff. But I think what just trying
to articulate is everything that's expected of is high value man.
It's something that's already been expected of women. So I
completely agree with her. However, I will say on the
double side of that, I'm not interested in dating a
woman because they're complicated, but I do actually agree with her.
(28:37):
You know's already expected of women, so we value the
man for himbling great, but women don't have an expectation
of nothing less than than being great. And huhold, my name.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
Is Khanya's from Camden, New Jersey. I want to shout
out my husband Jonah Sunday. We just celebrated forty four
years and I just couldn't make it without him, so
I like to shout and put the spotlight on him.
Speaker 6 (29:02):
Going way out out with Angela Yee
