Speaker 1 (00:00):
Today show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. Y'all
don't know y'all.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
At all at all, So don't given them all.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Black a million bus busy.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Listening to me.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Shot Joy, Yeah, Joy, you know you love.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
You gotta turn you.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Got to turn the mouth turn.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
You probably got to turn the mouth turn out to
turn the water of.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
The mony up looking come come out?

Speaker 1 (01:59):
You think that?

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
listening to the voice? Come on, dig me now what
and only Steve Harvey got a radio show? Man, oh man,
oh man? How good is God to me? And part
of the mission and the reason that I have a
radio show is to become a share of more and

(02:23):
more of a share of you know. I used to
hear my mother say it to me all the time,
But God blesses you to become a blessing. And I
think the more you understand that about yourself, I think
the more blessings will flow your way. I think that
once you understand the principle that.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
You know.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
But it's kind of tied together with some other scriptures,
and I'm not too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual,
but I do know what I've heard, you know, and
you know if you look at something simple as do
unto others as you would have them do unto you,
wouldn't you want somebody to help you if you need
needed help. I just know how to get it down

(03:03):
there to where I've been able to understand it. If
there's a scripture similar that it says do unto others
as you would have them do unto you, or if
that's you know, in a prayer, would not you want
somebody to help you if you needed help? You've heard

(03:26):
you reap what you sow? Do you understand that if
you so discord, that discord is gonna come your way.
That if you hate, hate gonna come your way. If
you blog nothing but negative comments about people, your life
will be filled with negativity. If all you do is

(03:47):
talk about people, then guess what somebody got to turn
that gun around and talk about you. See, it just
stands to reason. So what I've learned in my life
and through all the trial and tribulations that I've had,
is to take those lessons and share them with people
in case you ain't heard it from somebody else. See

(04:10):
sometimes and the reason it seems like I'm redundant, at times,
is which I am is because I'm always trying to
find a different way to say the same thing. Because
it's a funny thing. Man, You got to hear it
a certain way for it to click with you. How
many times have I heard a saying and then I

(04:32):
heard it a different way that it clicked with me.
You know, I've heard of this saying right here. Remember
this now, everybody's not.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Happy for you.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
We've all heard that, right everybody's not happy for you. Well,
that's very simple. I don't need no explanation. That simply
means of all the people you know or do not know,
when something happens to you and you celebrating.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
It, everybody not gonna join in on the celebration.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
That's all that is. But then you take it one
step further. My father used to say something to me
all the time. He said, son, everybody come with you
can't go with you. I didn't get that when I
was fifteen. Everybody come with you can't go with you.
He said, you're gonna lose some of these friends you
got along the way. But I don't care where you
get in life. Know this right here, everybody can't go

(05:26):
with you if you are constantly trying to improve yourself.
You constantly have to take assessment of the people around you,
because if you are going to continue to go and
continue to grow, then guess what you got to have
people that's on the goal and willing to grow, or else,
guess what you're gonna learn the valuable lesson. You know,

(05:48):
the late boxing promoter Butch Lewis. I was talking with
Butch Lewis one time, and man with a good brother man.
He say, every successful man is doing what I I
call he got rope work to do. He got rope
work to do. He got to put in work on rope.
And I'm sitting there listening to Butch Lewis and all

(06:10):
the money he had made and all the people's lives
he had changed, and all of the moves he was making.
And he's an incredible skills as a negotiator on behalf
of some very very wealthy people. He was just an
amazing man with no education, but he read everything. He
Butch Lewis read all the papers, all the periodicals. That
brother knew everything. He said, you got to put in rope.

(06:33):
And I was sitting there listening. He said, here's the analogy.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Little brother.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
He said, you are on rope. There's a thick rope.
You have on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes.
You have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off
just below the knee, and they tatted, and you got
dirt on you and your sweating. There's this huge, huge
raw rope over your shoulder. There's burn marks on all

(06:59):
of your sho Connected to that rope is a wagon.
That wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
your family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends. They
all on that wagon. Man, They just sitting there. He's saying,

(07:23):
what you gotta do is you gotta pull that wagon.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Up the heel. Now.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
The only thing with it is can't nobody help you
pull your wagon?

Speaker 1 (07:31):
You pull your wagon alone. He say.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Now, what you can do along the way of pulling
your wagon is you can find yourself a good wife,
a good woman.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
He say. Now, what that woman does is she get down.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Off the wagon. She fan you while you pull it.
She put water on you while you pull it. She
puts stuff in your mouth while you pull it. She
kicked rocks out the weight while you pull it. But
she but she pull it for you. But she is
equally as important as you are on the pull of
the He say, you hear me clearly now, young soldier.
He said, nah, I got this here, he says, people

(08:05):
on your wagon that you're responsible for. But you want
the people on your wagon to help you get your
wagon to the top. So what you hope is that
they got their foot hanging over the side pushing, They
got one leg over the back, or maybe both legs
over the back pushing. They got they might have their
butt on the wagon, but they push you with both legs.

(08:26):
They back facing your back, maybe some of them facing
you when one of them got left leg hanging over
trying to push. And you hope that all them people
on the wagon you pulling is back there at least
trying to help the wagon get to the top of
the hill.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Here go your problem.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Though everybody ain't pushing, Everybody ain't pulling. Ain't everybody ain't pulling,
Everybody ain't kicking rocks out the way. You got some
people on your wagon that's just laying on the wagon,
drinking lemonade, looking at you, talking about how long it's
taking you to get your wagon up to the top
at you talking about why this wagon is so slow.

(09:02):
Then when you start picking up picking up speed, they
want you to.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Pull harder, you to pull faster, you to pull more.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
Then they want you to throw what you then earned
on the way up the hill backed on the wagon
so they can have MO.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
But guess what, they ain't helping you get more.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
But they got a sense of entitlement that since you
got MO, they should have MO.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Everybody come with you can't go with you.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Sometimes you gotta kick the people off the wagon that
ain't pushing and pull it and say, hey, man, I'm sorry.
I thought I could do this with you, and I
thought you was going with me. But it's clear to
me you ain't nothing but dead weight. And it ain't
my responsibility to carry dead weight anymore. I have carried
you as long as I have to carry you. You
are no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible for my family,

(09:49):
my wife, my children. I'm not responsible for you. You
got to get off my wagon because I'm a man
on rope. I'm on a mission, baby, I'm pulling here.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
Listening into the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Ladies and gentlemen, we are here in the midst of
another blessing.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
We are present for another present.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
We are the recipients of a whole lot of grace
and favor. You I'm talking to you. You are the
beneficiary of God's love. Man, that's just good news. That's
really really good news. I can't think of a better
way to start today, and I can't think of a

(10:35):
better individual or spirit to have to be benefiting from.
I just don't, man, this is just this is good.
This is really really good. Good morning everybody. Yeah, do
y'all thing today, but start your day with gratitude. Tell
God how much you appreciate it, because it's only him.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
It is only him that could do the things he does.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Nobody else could give you life, Nobody else can provide
you with peace, Nobody else can be a very present
help in the time of trouble, any time you need it.
He the only one that can always be there. Johnny
on the Spot, Steve Harvey, Marney shows, Shirley Strawberry calling
Forrell Mississippi, Monica Junior, and the Legend that is Nephew

(11:19):
Tommy Junior.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Yuh going on with you? Stash?

Speaker 7 (11:23):
Yeah good.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
I want to talk to you about this, This is
just something up that I really want some help with.
And because you learn how to deal with these type people,
people that don't take no accountability for nothing that happened,
nothing accountability like it ain't never their fault. They're always saying, hey,
if this would have happened for me, I could have
did this. They never say it's their fault or they

(11:47):
take no accounta but no action, no nothing.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
But how have you learned to deal with that?

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Well, you know, Bishop Bronna has a big church down
in Atlanta. My daughter's actually remembered there. I heard him
say recently within the past year is something that was
very profound. He said, be conscious or careful of people
who are victims of circum circumstances that they created. Have

(12:19):
you ever met somebody that is always a victim but
off some decisions that they made, absolutely and you have
that person.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Everybody knows a person like that in their life.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
You got to be aware of those people because if
you're not aware of what they're doing, you enable them,
you coddle them, and you constantly going oh, yeah, that's right,
I'm so sorry for you.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
So what now, no, no, man, uh, what.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Did you do to bring this about because we are
all the sum told.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Of our decisions we make, So you have to be
conscious of that.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Now, as far as people who don't accept accountability, I
don't really have room for those people. You've heard the
old saying when you point your finger, always notice there's
three pointing back at you. Well, if you don't address
the three this pointing back of you at you, you
will never ever be able to fix the problem. When
you rut up into people who do it, don't accept accountability,

(13:16):
you are looking at a person who will never grow.
And all of us know people like that who just
are the same, who have been the same since we
known them, because they refuse to change, because ain't nothing
wrong with them. So you can't. You can't fix what
you don't claim to be broken. And so if you
don't claim accountability, then you're gonna you never gonna change.

Speaker 7 (13:35):
Yes, coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
we'll run that brink back with the nephew. Right after this,
you're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning.

the United States over the next three years that will

The same harms More show.

Speaker 9 (20:51):
Feature Miller's Together, Know who you're coming, Know what you're doing,
What you're doing Frank and franknity right, yes, all right,
that's the run that Prank Back for today. We'll be
back in about another hour. We're going to be stupid
once again, and then we'll be stupid sprinkled again throughout
the show. That's just how we roll from the Timmy perspective.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
Okay, hey man, I have a question. Do we do
prank praise on the all All run at prank Back?

Speaker 9 (21:20):
Frank Praise is just a spirit about when it hits
your Steve, that's when that says do that.

Speaker 7 (21:25):
Thank you nephew. Coming up next, we'll ask the COLO,
our chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building. Right
after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
There's a reason zip Recruiter survey that says seventy six
percent of all employers plan to hire for twenty twenty
five this year. And if you're hiring, add zip Recruiter's

(21:47):
latest feature, Zip Intro, to your plan. It's easy. You
just pick a time and zip Intro finds and schedules
qualified candidates for you. Try it for free at ZipRecruiter
com slash strawberry. That ZipRecruiter dot com slash strawberry coming
up at the top of the hour. In entertainment news,

(22:08):
Carla has music news about the BET Awards. All right,
Kendrick Lamar is the brand new ambassador of for Chanel
and Ladies. The world's finest quarterback. NFL quarterback Jalen Hurts
you know who he is of the Philadelphia Eagles is
now a married man. We'll talk about all of these

(22:31):
curtains at the top of the hour, but right now
it is time to ask the clo. This is from
Caprice in Jonesboro. Caprice writes, my husband got a loan
from a credit union to buy his daughter a car.
The cars and his ex wife's name, and he is
the co signer. I'm not even mad. I'm hurt because

(22:52):
I had to find out from his ex wife. Why
is he doing things without telling me?

Speaker 5 (22:57):
Obviously because he didn't want to hurt you. That's his thing,
that's why, that's his reasoning. Well, she said, I'm not
even mad, I'm hurt. Why is he doing stuff without
telling me? And that's why he did it because he knew,
first of all, you was gonna be mad. Secondly, he
would have had to run it by you to get approval,

(23:18):
and it probably would have been some debate and argument
about it. What he wanted to do was help his
daughter out. Now he did it by putting it in
his wife's name and co sign it. Okay, dog, that's
a little crazy because it just seemed to me like
you could have put it in your name, co signed
for it and gave a car to your daughter. If

(23:39):
you're gonna put it in your wife's name, your ex
wife's name, so she can give it to the daughter,
it would have been a smarter move if you put
the car in your name, signed for it, and then
gave it to your daughter, it would have cut out
a lot of mess. But you intertwined that X and
that's what created your problem.

Speaker 7 (23:57):
Dog who couldn't wait to tell the current wife.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
All couldn't wait? Up this on your face? Oh you
got him. But where he won't to be is with me?
All right? Yeah, he still spending money on me. He
was a good man.

Speaker 7 (24:17):
Moving on to Aaron in Nashville, so lucky, Aaron writes
out of full length mirror by my bed, and when
my boyfriend and I have sex, he loves to watch himself.
He said it helps him with his technique and form.
I told him that it's sex, not weightlifting. Why is

(24:38):
he focused more on himself than on.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
Mem Well, listen to this logic. This is the male logic.
If he's thinking it helps him with his form and.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Technique and technique, yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
Then you, if that were true, would be the beneficiary
of this outstanding form and technique. But let me tell
you why he's really looking in that mirror. Tell it
because it helps him stay prepared.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
M hmm.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
If that's the best way to say it, it helps him,
uh be able to perform longer.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Yeah, yeah, here a young I've been what he young?

Speaker 14 (25:31):
Young?

Speaker 9 (25:32):
You know you get you know that mirror don't help
no moment. It's just you see too many flaws. There's
too much going on.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
You can.

Speaker 7 (25:41):
Flaw flaw.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
It is a hard focus. Looking to the side, to
his head. You can't really take care of your duties.
That's right in front of you, looking off to the side.

Speaker 7 (25:57):
So what are you thinking when you when you see
what you say in.

Speaker 9 (26:00):
The mirror off to that not to Yes, I thought
I had Ooh, my legs need work.

Speaker 7 (26:13):
All of the above, all right, So that's why Aaron
and Nashville. Moving on to Leslie and Teck, Leslie writes,
my boyfriend loves to FaceTime me and watch TV with
me and then fall asleep on the phone instead of
coming over and being with me. He only sees me
on the weekends and only at my house. If he's married,

(26:34):
how can he FaceTime me every day?

Speaker 5 (26:37):
Well, I mean, lady, that's really a question you need
to answer yourself. If he's married, how can he FaceTime
me every day?

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Listen to me.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Your problem is not that he's face timing you instead
of being over there. That's not what you're and stop
making this about that. You want to figure out if
your boyfriend is married or nothing? Yeah, well, why don't
you get to figure in that part?

Speaker 1 (27:07):
What should she do? I we I'm coming over your house.

Speaker 11 (27:14):
For her.

Speaker 5 (27:16):
I'm coming over your house. We're not doing this, no
more to it. Next time we do it, if we
ever do it again, it'll be at your house.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Oh okay, that's all.

Speaker 7 (27:26):
That's simple. Yeah, I'm very simple but effective. All right, Clo.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
Now, if you if you do go over this house.
But y'all have to do it outside in the car
and get chancy mad?

Speaker 7 (27:37):
What in the driveway?

Speaker 1 (27:40):
That's good chance he married? Well, we here at the
house now.

Speaker 7 (27:45):
I can't get a foot in the door.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
Gosh, you keep trying to go inside. Girl, were at
my house, but you.

Speaker 7 (27:53):
Wanted, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (27:56):
Well, all right, Celo, last one, the last one. This
is from Oscar and Valley Ranch. Oscar writes, my fiance
has stopped having sex since we got engaged. She said
she's saving herself for our wedding night. Maybe you can
talk some sense into her because she can't do me
like that. I don't like games. Why is she doing

(28:17):
this to me?

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Well, it's not a game.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
She really wants to prepare herself for the weddnight, so
that night of these special y'all will have missed each other.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
That's the logic behind it.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
But I don't understand why you think we need to
talk some sense into her.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
That's the part that's throwing me.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Man.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
I'm not in it like that. I don't care what
she do. Technically, Look, I don't care what she do. Uh,
I don't care she cut you off permanently. I don't
care if your fiance saved and decided to go down
to the nun college.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
I don't no, is.

Speaker 9 (28:59):
That not gonn you? No man can change that month.
The ladies won't stand for there's no man that can change.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
I can't. I got nothing for you.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
Okay, you're gonna break up with it or just move
the wed date up.

Speaker 7 (29:17):
Tomorrow?

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Baby, Look, I love you so much.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
Let's get on down to this courthouse and do this
thing Friday.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Yeah, pretty up stuff.

Speaker 8 (29:28):
You're talking about the gate Wait till you say I do?
And why wake after? You think you ain't getting none that?

Speaker 5 (29:36):
Yeah, all these Nashions like we're on a mission in Afghanistan?

Speaker 1 (29:44):
What is all this about? How is that for a
rud Awaken up?

Speaker 8 (29:52):
I'm trying to initiate it. I have came and I
have had my clothes off.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
She said, put your clothes on. We gotta go eat.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
You ain't see me.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
I would say it all.

Speaker 7 (30:03):
She ignored.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
What you Later, they got your junior draws.

Speaker 7 (30:12):
Got that new mustash and everything.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Nothing right on up.

Speaker 7 (30:20):

(30:42):
world's finest quarterback, Jalen Hurts of the world champion Philadelphia
Eagles married his longtime girlfriend Bree Burrows. Jalen did a
recent interview with Men's Health magazine. When he confirmed that yes,
he is married, he told the interviewer quote, you can
call her my wife. As he arrived to his interview
carrying a pink post it with a sweet message from

Yeah, I did.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
It's beautiful. It really is well, ladies, he's off the market.

Speaker 7 (32:05):
Next all right, So another entertainment new Chanelle has tapped
Kendrick Lamar as its new brand ambassador. Kendricks has signed
on to star in a new iwear campaign for Chanelle.
Kendrick told Business of Fashion, I visited the Chanelle stores
and I saw the process of how something goes from

(32:28):
design to execution. Seeing that people who work hard and
bring these visions to life resonates with me. Chanelle has
a timeless legacy and that is always something I can
get behind. Since they don't make clothes for men, I
knew it would have to be glasses. That's the end
of Kendrick Lamar's quote.

Speaker 5 (32:45):
So that's what I was sitting to say. What it
was where Chanelle started making me as clothes.

Speaker 7 (32:54):
Well, he has the glasses, so congratulations to him. And
questioned what brand would you like to be an ambassador for?
Have you thought about that? For brands? So many designers?
All right, that's okay, uh huh, Junior.

Speaker 15 (33:15):
May Yes, I knew it was the Lord put me
up there as a mannequin.

Speaker 16 (33:27):
Yes, brand start say oh, come on, friends and family,
they got it all ju.

Speaker 7 (33:39):
All right, Steve, which brand.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
I don't know. I've been trying to sit here and think, Man,
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (33:46):
Because you wear so many designs.

Speaker 5 (33:47):
Thinking about it, let me think, man, if I had
no fast.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Bro, look at his face he left.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Oh Tommy, nothing and I mean nothing would mean more
to me.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Than if I was an.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
International It's brand ambassador for bass Pro shops.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
I'm gonna tell you right now.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
Ain't nobody got a bigger fan base, spends more individual
money or cares about bass Pro Modus, Steve Ardy, everything.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Everything.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
I can't even tell you the joy I have of
going in them stores.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Now I get beat up. I gotta take pictures that
I got it.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
It is worth it, because I'm gonna tell you something, man,
when I'm standing in the my ailes, when you're talking
to other fishermen you know, and they discover who you are,
the the.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Connective tissue is fishing.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
I have learned more from talking to old men in
them aisles at bass Pro Shop that I learned in
just out there on the lake by myself. And them
old dudes know some stuff, man, and they ain't got
no problem share. Steve tried this little right here, this
is right here. A man when you bring it back

(35:33):
jercket in now and then then let it settle down,
being really in the jacket two times, then let it
settle back down. And I'll tell you right now, ain't
tell this thing got your hands what they gonna do?

Speaker 17 (35:48):
All right now, man, I let you go. All right,
it just okay, all right, we get it.

Speaker 7 (35:58):
I think you love it.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
I think thank you do you don't surely you don't know, No.

Speaker 7 (36:04):
I do. We talk about it all the time. Yeah, Carla,
finally you have some music news for us today, got
big news.

Speaker 16 (36:13):
B ET Awards will celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of
the awards show. Kevin Hart will be this year's host,
Culture's biggest night you know BT. Yeah, well honor this
year's most influential and you know music, TV, uh, Sports,
the whole nine. So we all remember back in the

(36:33):
day when two kings seeing Harvey and Cedric, you guys
hosted the very first one, the very first too.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
You think you might make an appearance this year?

Speaker 5 (36:46):
No, I ain't not gonna ask you what annimursary?

Speaker 1 (36:51):
So you're just I'm not young and current.

Speaker 7 (36:54):
All right, coming up in twenty minutes after the hour.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
Two things I ain't got I ain't got a podcast,
and I ain't got six tape.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
You have an our.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
Show, Yes, you do.

Speaker 7 (37:12):
More of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You've heard
us talk about the benefits of Globe Life insurance. Globe
Life has been protecting families for generations. Globe Life is
easy to buy, with rates starting as low as three
dollars and forty nine cents a month. There is no

(37:34):
medical exam, just a simple application. Call Globe Life today
at one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred,
or visit Globelife radio dot com again, that's one eight
hundred two five one fifty four hundred or Globelifradio dot com. Well,
our girl, actress Taraji p Henson will be this year's
commencement speaker at Spelman College's graduation ceremony. Sevelman's interim president

(37:59):
Rosalind Brewer said in part that Taraji's brilliance on screen
is matched by her commitment to advocacy and empowerment.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Wait a minute host to President of Spelman.

Speaker 7 (38:09):
Rosalind Rosalind Brewer Brewer, Roslyn Brewer uh huh, yeah, she's
the interim president. Yes at Spelman, I only know one
Roslyn Brewer. Okay, Well, Miss Brewer said that Taraji's brilliance
on screen is matched by her commitment to advocacy and empowerment,

(38:30):
making her a powerful role model for our graduating students
as they prepare to step into the world and lead
in their own extraordinary ways. So, Steve, you've been a
guest speaker at a few graduation ceremonies and we're living
in some very trying times. So what advice would you
give to a class of twenty twenty five graduate.

Speaker 5 (38:52):
I mean, it's simple for me, as follow your dreams
because that's the eventure that's eventually the thing that will
make you thirst and chase the best. Now, you can
go get a job, but I suggest if you go
and get a job, then have your job bankroll your
dreams because listen to me, life becomes worth it when

(39:14):
you are chasing what you were born to do.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
And that's not.

Speaker 5 (39:18):
Always the case with your particular degree, as most people
find out. But now you are, by sitting in this
room today, you have proven something that you are capable
of completing very difficult tasks and you have the ability
to see it through and you are an amazing person

(39:41):
on recall, recalling, of information, testing all of that. So
take all those jewels and positive points that you've developed
over the years and applied to your life, because real
life starts after graduation. You go get out this bubble
of the campus life. You go get out the bubble

(40:02):
of being a college student. Afterwards, life really begins, and
you've got to be ready for that. And when real
life really begins, chase your dreams. That's my message to everybody.
And that's why I've never been invited back twice.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
Really, anybody has me to come back down here again.

Speaker 5 (40:26):
Because educators are funny people, especially doctors and stuff, because
they play so much emphasis on education and the importance
of education. And it is if you want to be
a teacher, doctor Dennis Lawyer, absolutely, but if you're not
that person, what do you have?

Speaker 1 (40:44):
And you have your dreams and your.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
Visions and you know, I say that, which means a
lot to the students. And I can't tell you how
many students have came up to me afterwards years later
and thank you. But the PhD is sitting behind me
with them castles on their head with them on their rods.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
They not feeling that.

Speaker 7 (41:03):
Oh wow, all right, Steve, coming up at thirty four
minutes after the hour. We'll check your voicemail at eight
seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Right after this, you're listening,
she's a Steve Hardy morning shouting. It is time now
to check your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,

(41:25):
you can call and leave a message. You just might
hear your call on the air.

Speaker 18 (41:45):

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Captain Junior's potential.

Speaker 14 (41:50):
Like I noticed that Junian get real funny.

Speaker 12 (41:54):
He's hilarious already.

Speaker 18 (41:55):
When he gets edged, it's like when the teacher away
Junior starts to play.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
I love it. I love it.

Speaker 18 (42:03):
I feel like y'all putting the bottle cap on Junior
potentially let that man free. Get that man some most
segments let their brother talk a little bit more.

Speaker 19 (42:10):
I appreciate y'all stay.

Speaker 12 (42:12):
Up, all right?

Speaker 9 (42:15):
That is true when when when the teacher gone, he'd
be off the chain.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
When the junior junior need his own show, then that's
what the teacher says.

Speaker 7 (42:34):
Really, you're the one that encourages everyone that.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
When I got off the call, I don't know who
segment you think? He finsh have we only got it
for it?

Speaker 5 (42:52):
Ain't let me ask you, Tommy, you fin to give up?
Run that plank back on playing. No, no, you're gonna
give up deep uh oh oh oh, thank you death jams.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
No, not at all. All right, but it's.

Speaker 5 (43:08):
I'm not giving up clo and letter closing remarks.

Speaker 7 (43:17):
Odell, what about the sir?

Speaker 1 (43:18):
Odell? I ain't giving up? Oldell? You have ros all right,
But Junie, that was some love for you, though.

Speaker 7 (43:28):
I appreciate this.

Speaker 1 (43:29):
Uh, this next caller, you're gonna have to wait his turn.

Speaker 7 (43:35):
This next next caller, Steve left the message about the
Miss Universe pageant.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
Uh, hey Steve, what's going on?

Speaker 5 (43:41):
Man?

Speaker 1 (43:42):
Man?

Speaker 20 (43:42):
Uh, y'all guys doing a good job. I just want
to say something about the Miss America page. I know
it's old news, but y'all bring it up time of time. Man,
I just want to say that you are the worst
person for that job.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Well you bash me.

Speaker 20 (43:56):
Hear me out, Dude, I've been watching you since follow Man.
You know how to bring folks out. Man, you know
how to bring them out. You the best at doing that.
For the Miss America pattees. Not to announce the winner? Man,
what kind of pattage show?

Speaker 14 (44:09):
You know?

Speaker 20 (44:10):
Got two people left and you announced the runner up. Man,
that was the set up from the beginning. But man,
I appreciate you. Love what you're doing. Shirley Caller, Tommy
you the king of stupid unr love.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
Your boy thief. Yeah, I don't. I don't really understand
what that call was about.

Speaker 16 (44:29):
It. Yeah, because he said he felt you were set up.

Speaker 5 (44:36):
No, no, no, no no, he said you the worst.
Then said, yeah, but you know what I mean. You
can't see that's a backhanded.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
You know. So I really don't know how to take
that one.

Speaker 5 (44:50):
Dog, I don't know what you were trying to say,
But let me just tell you how I took it.

Speaker 14 (44:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (44:56):
Now, I could take two approaches to this, Okay.

Speaker 5 (45:00):
I can say the one that would be the most
Christian is I'm I'm slightly offended by what you said,
but I understand.

Speaker 1 (45:11):
All you can get this approaching. Don't nobody know you.

Speaker 5 (45:16):
I don't give it what you think now you either
one of them, because I truly truly feel.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
Both the ways.

Speaker 7 (45:26):
Or what you think that would ever.

Speaker 8 (45:28):
Respond, that would have happened everything else. But you should
have seen how we came together in that back room.
It will all the blacks against the world.

Speaker 5 (45:38):
Oh, because let me tell you something, all us black
people got in that room, oh man, because all of
the others was outside of the room, really really doing me. Man,
the biggest most hold does he think he is? And
then he says, gonna lock himself in the now? No, No,
we organize it because we came up that room together,

(45:59):
the six black people.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
We came off that room.

Speaker 5 (46:01):
Six All right, let's get swung old.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Now say something.

Speaker 7 (46:08):
Going up next to nephew and today's prank phone call.

Speaker 6 (46:11):
Right after that, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (46:20):
Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for today, and
the subject is if he's up, everybody needs to be up. Okay,
we'll get into that, find out what that's all about.
Just a few if he's up, everybody needs to be up.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
Okay, we'll get into it.

Speaker 7 (46:36):

Speaker 14 (48:00):
Okay, I just want to check a few things. You know.
If I get one more good look, a good look

Speaker 12 (48:06):
What don't y'all do this like once once or twice

We got it for you. Hear it in Strawberry Letter.

Speaker 7 (56:43):
Thank you, nephew. Subject if he's up, everybody needs to
be up. Dis Steven Shirley. My husband and I are
forty eight years old. We have a fourteen year old
son and a nine year old son. And one thing
about my husband, He's going to have some kind of
intimacy every night of the week. I stopped fighting it
when I met him. We had sex on our first

(57:03):
date and we've been together since. It's what made us
closer because we have such great chemistry. When I had
our first child, he got jealous and it killed him
to wait until my body was ready for sex again.
Everyone in our family knows how spicy we are, and
it's a running joke. My mother stayed with us for
a week after I gave birth to the second boy.

(57:25):
My husband showed out every night, and she finally said
something to me about it. She asked if I enjoyed
it as much as my husband did. I blushed and
I could not believe. My mom asked me that I
can't get my husband to be quiet or stay in
one room. He wakes our sons up sometimes because he
yells or moans the whole time. He overdoes it every time.

(57:48):
His reactions are better than any gift he could ever
give me. He always thanks me over and over and
calls me his queen. My two aunts think think it
is unknown natural, and I can't tell them if they're
both haters, or I can't tell if they're both haters,
or if there might be really something wrong with my husband.

(58:08):
I wouldn't consider him a sex addict, but there are
times when he will not take no for an answer.
As we get older, I wonder if I will be
able to keep up with him because he does not
believe in quickies. Is it cool to still be that
loud and wild during intimacy after sixteen years of marriage?
Well to that, I have to say, girl, yes, you

(58:30):
know that depends on you too. I just say, please,
don't listen to those haters. Enjoy your life. Okay, there's
nothing wrong with your husband except he has a very
high libido. You guys are only forty eight, You're grown,
and the kids are not babies anymore. Although I don't
think he should be wagging them up at night with
all of that. Could he be more quiet? He could

(58:54):
probably take it down and not your two. But it
is his house and he's free to do what he wants.
Question is why are your aunties all up in your business?
And how does everyone in your family know what's going
on in your house? Is it your mom telling them?
I mean, who's telling them?

Speaker 14 (59:10):
You?

Speaker 7 (59:11):
Are you telling them? They're all too nosy? You yourself
said his reactions are the greatest gifts he could ever
give you. So if you're not doing anything that makes
you feel uncomfortable, if it's painful in any way, and
he won't stop, or something like that, then I would
say that would be a problem. You seem happy to me, so,
like I said earlier, enjoy your life, Steve.

Speaker 14 (59:35):
You know.

Speaker 1 (59:39):
What, too much? It's too much.

Speaker 5 (59:45):
Go sit down somewhere. Wait a minute, stop it. I
don't feel like it, not tonight.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
You just had some what you won't now, don't don't
touch me. I'm I'm over this. What's the matter with you?

Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
What in here?

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Child's be quiet, these kids? Get away from the joke.
We all right, I'm just I am. I'm fine. Get
waiting the door now, Charles Junr. Charles Jr.

Speaker 5 (01:00:35):
The second, Get wait, I'm in here with your mama.

Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
A ah, heart is I ain't never had nothing like this.

Speaker 14 (01:00:50):
Here me.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
No, tell the neighbors, tell him.

Speaker 7 (01:00:57):
I'll be off the minute.

Speaker 5 (01:01:01):
Girl, I don't want to put fill out my mouth.
Shirley said, this my house. I do what I want to.
This letter crazy, This letter is crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
She said, both of them.

Speaker 5 (01:01:18):
For the the one thing about my husband, he gonna
have some kind of intimacy every.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Night of the wee.

Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
Shirley said, girl ignored them, going to enjoy your life?

Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
How this every night? This is every night.

Speaker 5 (01:01:40):
I stopped fighting when I met him. We had sex
on our first date and we've been together since. It's
what made us closer. You can't get no closer if
y'all always being intimate. You were as close as you

(01:02:01):
can get. When I had my first child, he got
jealous and it killed him to wait until my body
was ready for sex again, what.

Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
This sain't what you mean? Hot is normal.

Speaker 5 (01:02:18):
Everybody in our families know how spicy we are, and
this will run a joke. Your mama stayed with you
for a week after you gave birth to the second boy.
My husband showed out every night every night after the
boy was born. Finally, your mama said something. Asked you
if I enjoyed it as much as my husband did.

(01:02:40):
Because he is now jet clown, he don't care who
in the house. This ain't normal. We come back, I'll
tell you the rest.

Speaker 9 (01:02:47):
I just.

Speaker 7 (01:02:49):
All right, we'll have heart too. Steeven's response after the hour,
A ya yah yah, yeah. The subject is if he's up.
Everybody needs what you doing back into it. Right after this,
you're listening to the Streame Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
Folks, there are a lot of reasons to like Hyundai.
Hyundai's done a lot to support American consumers. I mean,
they announced their investment of twenty one billion dollars in
the United States over the next three years that will
expand manufacturing and create more jobs for Americans.

Speaker 9 (01:03:33):
And they just announced that they will not be raising
MSRP through June second, no matter what. Call five six
two three one four four six zero three for more details.

Speaker 7 (01:03:44):
All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
The subject is if He's up, everybody needs to be up.

Speaker 5 (01:03:51):
This is about a letter about a man that has
to have intimacy with his wife after sixteen years of
marriage and two children.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
They have to have some form of to.

Speaker 5 (01:04:00):
Me see every single night of the week. I'm saying,
this ain't natural. Shirley said, go and enjoy your life.
How you gonna enjoy your night every night? It's not
natural for who? It ain't natural for most people. This

(01:04:23):
is abnormal. And you what you're gonna do is quit
acting like it is natural.

Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
That's what it is. That's what you gonna do.

Speaker 5 (01:04:31):
You gonna stop acting like it's natural because it ain't.
But she is complaining, you just don't hear it.

Speaker 7 (01:04:45):
The line the line that says, it's the great his
reaction is the greatest gift. He overdoes it every time.
His reactions are better than any gift he could ever
give me.

Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
No, no, no no. The line says I stopped fighting
it when I met him.

Speaker 4 (01:05:04):
Night.

Speaker 7 (01:05:05):
They're into it.

Speaker 5 (01:05:06):
And she stopped fighting it because it's how they stay close.
My husband showed out every night. He don't keep quiet.
Sometime he wake our sons up. My mama stayed with
me for a week and she couldn't believe it. She
asked me one day, do you just enjoy it as
much as he did? She come talking about I couldn't

(01:05:28):
believe My mama asked me that I can't listen to
this shirt. I can't get my husband to be quiet
or stay in one room. There is some turmoil going
on in this house, all this holling. He wakes up
our sons sometimes because he yells or moans the whole time.

(01:05:54):
Next line that says there's a problem. He overdes it
every time.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
This is a cry for help. But she trying to
mask it his reactions.

Speaker 5 (01:06:05):
Then she goes, his reactions are better than any gift
he could ever give. He always thanks me over and
over and calls me his queens. My two aunts think
it's unnatural, and I can't tell if they both hate
us or if there might be something really wrong with
my husband.

Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
Both of them statements.

Speaker 5 (01:06:25):
Is true, your aunts them big wide helpless is up.

Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
They hate us, ain't.

Speaker 5 (01:06:32):
Nobody moaned and hollered on them in a while, So
they hate me now. The next line says, or if
there might be something really wrong with my husband, it is,
it is.

Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
But it's every day. Though.

Speaker 5 (01:06:51):
Listen, surely, surely, too much water ain't good for you.
If you can too much of anything in excess, it
is not good for you.

Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
You're taking away the specialty of it.

Speaker 5 (01:07:10):
We already with the anniversary Mother's Day date night don't
mean nothing because it's every night. Now, let me explain
something to you that you don't know. Shuit in a
man's body, he's able to produce x amount of uh

(01:07:34):
monumental moments.

Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
Let's just say that for me, Okay, all right?

Speaker 5 (01:07:37):
A man can only produce x amount of monumental moments.

Speaker 7 (01:07:44):
And now you're getting clinical.

Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
Go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
The gun is now gonna fire. After you've used up
your bullets, you have to reload. That's gonna come shortly
for him.

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
He forty eight.

Speaker 5 (01:08:05):
Now I'm predicting at this pace, he got about another
three years of every day.

Speaker 7 (01:08:12):
Okay, Well, then he'll slow down. Okay, that's fair.

Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
He gonna slow way down. Should he gonna be out of.

Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
Bullets, he gonna have to go get the manufacturing chamber
for the bullets repaired because he's done extreme damage to
hisself the same medicine. Shurely, that's something else. Now let
me tell you this, Okay, if there might be something

(01:08:44):
wrong with him, I wouldn't consider him a sex at it.
But there are times when he will not take no
for an answer. We are constantly talking about on this
show somebody not being able to take no for anance.

Speaker 7 (01:09:04):
Uh huh.

Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
We're gonna deal with one of these stories this week
in the news. I will assume now, if you that's
a problem. If he can't take no fore anance, because
it has to happen every night, according to this letter,
make a problem. I make them make up your mind.

Speaker 7 (01:09:23):
Though no, I did say if it's uncomfortable or.

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
I told you it was a problem at the beginning
of this letter.

Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
She now that took you to just now to admit.

Speaker 7 (01:09:33):
No, that's not true. I said it in my response.
If it's uncomfortable for her.

Speaker 5 (01:09:38):
As we get all, I wonder if I will be
able to keep up with him.

Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
You ain't gonna have to wear about it. He ain't
gonna be able to keep up.

Speaker 7 (01:09:48):
Listen, bost You're gonna be fure solved us.

Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
In a minute, and you ain't gonna have to wear.

Speaker 7 (01:09:53):
About it at Steve HARBFM on Instagram and Facebook, and
check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.
We never sounded so good. You can download it today
coming up at forty six minutes after the hour Sports
Talk with Junior.

Speaker 6 (01:10:06):
Right after this you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
Votes. There are a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:10:14):
Of reasons to like hundreds to Day's done a lot
to support American consumers. I mean, they announced their investment
of twenty one billion dollars in the United States over
the next three years that will expand manufacturing and create
more jobs for Americas.

Speaker 9 (01:10:30):
And they just announced that they will not be raising
MSRP through June second. No matter what, call five six
two three one four forty six zero three for more details.

Speaker 7 (01:10:42):
All right, before we get to junior and sports talk,
we want to update you. Shannon Sharp and a sexual
assault accuser came close to a settlement this year of
ten million dollars. She walked away from the deal. She's
now suing Shannon for fifty million dollars. Shannon Sharp called
it a quote shakedown in a video addressing the allegations.

(01:11:02):
Sharp also warned that a home sex video will soon
be leaked. TMZ already has. They already got their hands
on a recording of Shannon Sharp threatening to threatening in
anger to quote choke the woman to death. Beyond the
sickening accusations, many have cringed at the fact that fifty
four year old Shannon Sharp got involved with this OnlyFans

(01:11:24):
influencer when she was just nineteen years old. Nineteen years old.

Speaker 5 (01:11:29):
Guys, Oh, she's the only fans late influencer. Yeah those
when you say influenced, So what does that mean? But
she has an only fans page.

Speaker 7 (01:11:40):
Yeah, she is an only fans page. Uh huh, Yeah,
she's only a page.

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
He works out of her house. Yes, that that's Mary. Now,
this story is.

Speaker 7 (01:11:53):
Crazy.

Speaker 9 (01:11:55):
And if you haven't done anything, why are we even
taught about money? Why are we even discussing to me dollars?

Speaker 5 (01:12:03):
I would assume, Tommy, I would assume if you want
to settle, is to just keep the noise from from spreading,
to keep the snowball from rolling down the hill, because
as it rolls down the hill, as we can see,
it's only getting bigger.

Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
And sometimes people who know.

Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
That the snowball can get bigger and turn into an
avalanche would rather make a payment. We often think that
payments means as guilty.

Speaker 7 (01:12:31):
It's guilty, guiuilt, guilt.

Speaker 5 (01:12:34):
Yeah, it's not always that in every settlement. But when
it comes to this type of stuff right here, this
personal sexual stuff, it's an ugly slippery slope to be on.

Speaker 7 (01:12:46):
Yeah you know, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:12:47):
So you paid a ten million to say one hundred.
I don't know all the facts yet, but.

Speaker 7 (01:12:53):
Yeah, they're still developing.

Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
See actually every day, yeah, every day, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:13:00):
With sports talk.

Speaker 8 (01:13:01):
Okay, well, let me go ahead and give a shout
out to Detroit man, Detroit Pistons in the playoffs. Man,
he's tired to see if that one on one they
play tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
But here's what I love about Detroit.

Speaker 8 (01:13:10):
They only selling tickets on Ticketmaster to people that live locally.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
They're not selling it to New York Knicks fans.

Speaker 8 (01:13:18):
They saying all our tickets off of people in Ohio,
Indiana and Ontario, Canada. Y'all not coming in here with
all this New York stuff in Detroit. They're not living
hat Come on, come on, come.

Speaker 1 (01:13:31):
On, Detroit. We gonna look like a home team in Detroit.
That's why we got that fist hanging out there. Yes,
they secrets.

Speaker 8 (01:13:42):
If you're a Nick fan, you're gonna have to get
your ticket scalped.

Speaker 1 (01:13:45):
You're not getting them.

Speaker 7 (01:13:47):
Get right, all right, Junior, thank you. Coming up at
the top of the hour, a young woman on social
media needs some advice. She says, I found my biological father.
We'll talk about it right after this.

Speaker 6 (01:13:58):
You're listening to the Steve hard Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (01:14:04):
All right, Steve, here we go, Melissa and Steve HARVEFM rights.
I recently did a DNA test out of curiosity and
learned that my dad isn't my biological father. I also
found my biological father living just a couple of hours away.
He had no idea.

Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
I exist.

Speaker 7 (01:14:21):
I love my dad and he loves me, and no
one will ever replace him. But I'm curious about this
stranger who shares my DNA. So here's our question. Should
I reach out to my biological father and deal with
all that might entail, or leave the past alone to
protect my relationship with a father who's always been there
for me.

Speaker 5 (01:14:41):
I can't answer that question for you. Yeah, that's only
for you. That's only for you. I will never pretend
to know the answer to this. That's solely up to you.
I'm happy that you recognize that this man who has
been in your life has always been there. And yes,
person you know is dad, and he means to world
to you, and you might want to protect that.

Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:15:06):
You know, if you really want to meet your biological father,
then that's on you. It doesn't have to destroy your
relationship with your dadd It just depends on how you
handle it.

Speaker 7 (01:15:17):
Because a lot of the people who do find their
biological parents do want them. They just want to know
where they came from. She's not the only one you
know who feels that way. They want to know about their.

Speaker 5 (01:15:28):
Past, absolutely, so but I can't answer that for you,
young lady. That's the decision solely up to you. I
have no experience at that.

Speaker 7 (01:15:37):
Yeah, if somebody has.

Speaker 5 (01:15:38):
Called to tell me that my daddy wasn't really my daddy,
I wouldn't believe in no way, because I learned. I know,
couldn't hear well s they called in my daddy right
or how I look just like we got the same
hand everything.

Speaker 7 (01:15:50):
So you're my daddy.

Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
You get a phone call, you're my daddy.

Speaker 7 (01:15:58):
We have the same DNA.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
Yeah, I'm I'm I'm gonna hang up right away. No,
that's nervous spots.

Speaker 5 (01:16:09):
Child, that's gonna be the initial. You're gonna be lost
a little while longer.

Speaker 7 (01:16:16):
I'm gonna hang out testing and found out that Jewish.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
Can I share the things now? I'm gonna hang up
right away.

Speaker 7 (01:16:28):
No, people told me I looked like you. All right,
we have time for another one, Steve. This is from
m J on Redded. M J says, my nemesis from
high school, who used to bully me on a daily basis,
recently reached out to me wanting to apologize for making
my teenage years miserable. He told me he was dealing

(01:16:49):
with abuse at home and taking it out on his classmates.
He seems genuinely remorseful and is asking for forgiveness, but
just seeing his name in my inbox brought back all
the anxiety and pain. It was a long time ago,
and part of me things forgiving him might help both
of us to move on. So here's a question. Should
I forgive and forget just because he's finally grown a

(01:17:12):
conscience and feels guilty?

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
Well his.

Speaker 9 (01:17:18):
Look, got at it, Let's go. I've been waiting on him.
Oh got it?

Speaker 5 (01:17:25):
Fail, body, Forgiveness is for you, not the other person.

Speaker 1 (01:17:32):
I've had to come to terms with that in.

Speaker 5 (01:17:34):
Real life this year, And as hard as it was
for me, and as hard as for me to say
this right here because I kind of want to go
with Tommy.

Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
On this, but.

Speaker 5 (01:17:52):
You know what, he might be miserable after what he's done,
and you know, and probably I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:17:58):
Look, I know a dude used to bully me named
Larry Singleton.

Speaker 7 (01:18:08):
Not the name, yeah, yeah, yeah street.

Speaker 5 (01:18:14):
You know he used to bully me. But I've ran
up into him since I was grown.

Speaker 1 (01:18:20):
Really yeah, not.

Speaker 5 (01:18:22):
Bully me now, because you know we're all that bully stuff. Fact,
but I had made it when I saw him.

Speaker 16 (01:18:29):
Some thoughts for your forgiveness, Larry, Would you forgive him?

Speaker 1 (01:18:33):
Yeah? I didn't.

Speaker 5 (01:18:36):
How should I put this? I forgave him?

Speaker 7 (01:18:42):
Can we happened twenty minutes after. We'll have more of
the signat show right after this. You're listening to the
Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, So last year

guys have family members that work with you. So quickly,

(01:19:22):

Speaker 1 (01:19:26):

he works with his wife sometimes on the show.

Speaker 7 (01:19:34):

Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
We've seen her ready, I mean ready, No, that's different.
It ain't the keys yet. It ain't the key as yet. Okay,
my sister and I work together, but.

Speaker 7 (01:19:45):

Speaker 7 (01:20:06):
All right, So Steve, you work with this son.

Speaker 5 (01:20:09):
My nephew's been one of the biggest, the hardest things
I've ever had to get over in my entire career.
It's just one monumental forgive me after the next.

Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
I'm just really literally tired of it.

Speaker 7 (01:20:27):

thirty three minutes after we'll play around and would you

Yeah, nice?

Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
Okay, all right, I love it money for food?

Speaker 12 (01:21:30):
All right?

Speaker 7 (01:21:31):
Would you rather have sex only in the morning or
only on the floor?

Speaker 5 (01:21:37):
Is all?

Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
It is?

Speaker 7 (01:21:39):
Fine? Location means nothing, nothing the floor you don't care.

Speaker 1 (01:21:46):
I can't do.

Speaker 9 (01:21:46):
That flow at earth in the morning, though I take
that take all day to get that there.

Speaker 1 (01:21:52):
You take only time to get.

Speaker 9 (01:21:54):
Up, get off the floor, floor.

Speaker 7 (01:22:01):
All right, real clear about that one.

Speaker 1 (01:22:04):
But yeah clear.

Speaker 5 (01:22:06):
Well, let me tell you something I was some I
had dropped the phone under the bed in the middle
of the night, and I got a real tall bed
down at the ranch. And I finally got the phone
from under the bed, and I was trying to get up,
and I grabbed the covers. I told all the covers
off the bed, trying to pull myself up. When I

(01:22:30):
stood up in the middle of the night, it wasn't
a comforter a sheet, the fittish sheets was off the edges.
I was looking at the mattress. I was so mad
because now I gotta make this bed up to get
back in it. You know that last time I made
up a bed, so I just put the two corners

(01:22:51):
of the top on the finish sheet. I just put
the two corners on the top. Oh, I ain't even
put the rest of it on there. I just pulled
the covers of them, went on.

Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
Back sleeping, got back there.

Speaker 7 (01:23:02):
You're sleeping on half a finished cheese, all right, and
then the rest mattress all right. Uh. We talked about
Lebron just a little while ago or earlier in the show.
So here's a question. Would you rather play a one
on one basketball game with Draymond Green or Lebron? James Lebron?

Speaker 5 (01:23:27):
I mean what you think it'd be better for you?

Speaker 14 (01:23:29):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
No, I just don't want to fight fair. I ain't
he already beginning.

Speaker 8 (01:23:37):
No, I don't care about losing.

Speaker 9 (01:23:41):
It's the injuries of the highlights, the highlights, and I
played Lebron.

Speaker 1 (01:23:45):
That's what I want. What highlights you think? Come on, well, dog,
you're not finished skull. I'm gonna get a couple of
buckets though.

Speaker 5 (01:23:59):
Yes, bro bruh, you will not. You won't even get
a shot off. You're gonna eat every last one of
them basketball. He gonna break the coke machine in the
Hallway with one of your shots.

Speaker 1 (01:24:15):
All now much is.

Speaker 5 (01:24:17):
Gonna be Lebron's shots up against your head.

Speaker 7 (01:24:22):
Some more Today's rounded would you rather? We'll close out
the show and have some closing remarks from the one
and only Steve Harvey right after this high lights.

Speaker 6 (01:24:34):
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, folks.

Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
There are a lot of reasons to like dais.

Speaker 5 (01:24:44):
Hyundai's done a lot to support American consolers. I mean,
they announced their investment of twenty one billion dollars in
the United States over the next three years that will
expand manufacturing and create more jobs for Americas.

Speaker 9 (01:24:58):
And they just announced that will not be raising ms
RP through June second, no matter what. Call five six
two three one four four six to zero three for
more details.

Speaker 7 (01:25:10):
All right, guys, here we are last break of the day,
and Steve, we have a phone call from you. It's
from Edward from the Bronx.

Speaker 1 (01:25:18):
Okay, take a look is.

Speaker 19 (01:25:22):
Edwards from the Bronx.

Speaker 20 (01:25:23):
It's wanting to know can you continue to share more
of your your stories.

Speaker 12 (01:25:27):
From the past.

Speaker 7 (01:25:28):
My uncle and I were listening to the story you
shared about.

Speaker 19 (01:25:31):
The roadies at the girl's house with a biggie wig
and he fell.

Speaker 12 (01:25:34):
Up the chair laughing.

Speaker 11 (01:25:35):
So I keep it going, keep it to tending this.

Speaker 19 (01:25:38):
With those stories, man, wonderful man Fece, you are great storyteller.

Speaker 7 (01:25:45):
Storyteller, Yeah, yeah, and you are.

Speaker 1 (01:25:48):
That was one of a great moments.

Speaker 5 (01:25:49):
So, yeah, we were talking about something earlier in our
opening remarks and you all said carry it over to closing.
Anybody remember that subject, Julia, Yeah, we were talking about Yeah,
I want to expound on that in my clothes remarks.

(01:26:11):
You know, we were talking about being around people who
won't take accountability for their actions and are always blaming
you or someone else for the predicament that they are in.

Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
I want to remind us all of something.

Speaker 5 (01:26:31):
We are, all, including those people, a sum total of
all the decisions we've made in our life. Now, with
that being said, that doesn't mean that you should allow
your mistakes to define who you are, because some mistakes

(01:26:52):
that you will make along the way are just that
along the way, and you will have to make these
mistakes because those mistakes are actually very very valuable learning lessons.
If you really want to be a little bit more
clear with it, all the mistakes you make, they're really
called experiences, and if you have enough experiences, you become experienced.

(01:27:17):
And if you become experienced, you become mature. So when
you make a mistake, it doesn't define who you are.
It will eventually help you become who you are to be.
The trouble you have is when you have a person
in your life who doesn't understand the accountability of their
decisions and are always pointing the finger. If this had

(01:27:40):
happen to me, if you hadn't did this to me,
I would have had that. I have a guy in
my life that still walks around spewing those types of
things about me. If Steve Harvey had gave me this chance,
I would have did this. I asked Steve Harvey for
that and he said no, And that would have been

(01:28:01):
all I needed at that particular time. Well, you know,
this person leaves out so much information about all the
times I did help him, about all the opportunities I
did provide for him. Now he never tells the part
about when I gave him a series of gigs and
he counseled the day before because he wanted to change

(01:28:22):
the money and the promoter wouldn't change it. So blah
blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah. When you
have people in your life like that, it's best to
just cut them loose because you're never going to quench
the thirst or satisfy the hunger they have for pointing
the finger at everybody other than themselves. And also, can

(01:28:45):
I remind you of something, You are not responsible for
any other person. Now, if you are a parent, that
comes with a certain sense of responsibility, but outside your children.

Speaker 1 (01:28:59):
You really, you really really don't owe nobody else nothing.

Speaker 5 (01:29:07):
And be careful of people who try to make you
responsible for them, because that's called manipulation, and that manipulation
is hard sometimes because they try to make you feel
guilty because you have something, and because you have it,
you ought to give it to them simply because they

(01:29:28):
ask for it.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
How many times has.

Speaker 5 (01:29:31):
A person asked you to borrow money and then followed
it up or preface it with the statement, I know
you got it. We've all heard that a man, I
know you got it. I need five hundred dollars, I
know you got it. Okay, Well, you know why they
know you got it because they've been watching you. They

(01:29:54):
been watching you work while they've been sitting over there
twitting their thumbs and folding they hands, and they've been
watching you toil. And they watched you get the new car,
save up for it. They watched you go from an
apartment into a condo. They watched you move from a
condo to a house, and their life sitting up there,
stagnant and still because of some.

Speaker 1 (01:30:15):
Decisions they made.

Speaker 5 (01:30:16):
And now all of a sudden they want to come
to you and get a piece because they know you
got it.

Speaker 1 (01:30:24):
Well.

Speaker 5 (01:30:24):
I know I got it too, but I didn't acquire
this to give it to you. I acquired this so
I could work and have a better life for myself
and my family. I'm working hard, man, so I could
take care of the ones that I am responsible for.
I work hard so that I become an example for
my sons to follow, my daughters to follow. I work

(01:30:47):
hard because at the end of the day, that's my
job as a provider. I was born in bread to
take care of my family. I watched my father do it.
Father was married for sixty four years. I watched a
man go to work when he was sick. I watched

(01:31:08):
a man I'm talking about man get up and go
down to jobs he didn't like or care for all
because he was responsible for his family and he molded
that into me and that's what I became. And if

(01:31:28):
you're that person that takes care of yourself, whether you're
a man or woman, and you go out here every
day and you taking care of yourself, you're taking care
of yourself and your child.

Speaker 1 (01:31:36):
That's what you do.

Speaker 5 (01:31:37):
You don't owe nobody else nothing, And just stop letting
people make you think because you got it, you're supposed
to give it to them. No you don't. No, you
don't get out here and get the hustling like I did.
All right, that's my clothes remoss today. Have a great
day to day, y'all. Talk to God. He got some now.
