Toby and Chilly Mornings on demand on ninety seven point
one Wash Up.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Out Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven
point one Wash you at FM and eight sixty six
nine two seven forty three sixty one. That's the number.
If you're feeling good this morning, and you know what,
there's always something to feel good about. I'll start by
saying this. The reason that we have this weekend is
because of you know, my father's generation, those who put
on the uniform of our country that helped defend the
(00:28):
freedom to do whatever you're going to do this weekend
around the world through you know, military conflicts. So I'm
thankful for all of those gold Star families that are
still here, it's still with us. Thank you for your
family member's sacrifice, because this three day weekend couldn't come
soon enough. Yeah, and by the way, we remember and
(00:48):
we know where it came from. So that's why I'm
feeling really good today. How about you.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
I'm feeling good today because I am looking forward to
getting some rest and relaxation. We're not doing any road trips,
so no dealing with traffic, and we're going to go
strawberry picking for the first time ever at Butler's Orchard.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Oh, yes, strawberry.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
We've done the apple picking thing, but not the strawberries.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Let me know how that is, because I'm going to
try to go up there. That might be a good
date afternoon. Oh that yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
The only thing about picking fruit from the field. And
we experience this also with the apples bees they're everywhere,
which hey, why not they love them fruit.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
I mean, you take the good, you take the bad.
The thing you can remember it at a place like
Butler's Orchard or wherever you do your strawberry picking, is that.
You know, some people say that the strawberries are smaller
than what I see at the store. Well there's a
reason why. It's because they're steroids. Yeah, they're not on steroids,
no pun intended.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Yes, but you can fill up the container with as
many little strawberries as you want. That's that's how you
pay for the little container.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
And then you get home and you have strawberry shortcake
and a strawberry with your pancakes, and.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
You can freeze them for your smoothie. It's like, don't
let them go bad.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Oh now I'm some strawberries this morning. Yeah, why are
you feeling good, You've got the number, give us call,
let us know. In the meantime, we're going to tell
you about the news coming up. Top Stories at the
top of the hour. What's going on this morning there
at chiliamre Well.

You've got the power is your morning mindset today. You've
got the power. That's from Snap. It was like right
around nineteen eighty nine, the early nineties. Right now, what
(05:27):
does it mean? It means that yes, you do, you
have the power, so stop waiting for permission. Snap you've
got the power. Yes, you do. You so stop waiting
for permission and go and make your tomorrow happen. That's
your morning mindset. It's ninety seven point one wash FM.
(05:48):
Thanks for waking up with Toby and Chilly in the morning.
Coming up in just minutes.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
In case you missed it. The founder of Barstool Sports,
David Portnoy, was talking about how his ex wife ex
wife still has access to their bank account or his
bank account because he completely trusts her. But do you
still trust your ex or.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
NX yep enough to let them access your bank accounts
and get up into your business?
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Hmmmm?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Eight six six ninety seven forty three sixty one is
the number. If you've got thoughts you want to share
this morning, stay there, We'll give you all the details
coming third today and boom you're into a long holiday weekend.
Ninety seven point one Wash FM Toby and Chilly in
the Morning. The number is eight six six ninety seven
forty three sixty one. Talk back also wide open. If
(06:36):
you're signed into your iHeart app, tap the microphone, send
us a voice note and tell us what you think
about this question. Would you still trust an X?
Speaker 3 (06:45):
David Portnoy, who has brought us barstools. He's a very
wealthy man, has a podcast and all that says that
his ex wife still has access to his bank account
and that he trusts her implicitly.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Is there an ex that you trust implicitly?
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Checked out? No, I don't have a lot of exes,
but I wouldn't trust them to the level that Portnoy
trusts his ex wife.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Do you have any I have a couple of exes
that I trust, but I would not trust them with
my finances or my bank account or anything like that.
That's not a business.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Well then what would you trust an X with? Give
me an example of an area where you would be okay.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
If Kyla's younger and she needed a place to spend
the night, or say, yes, well that makes sense. Let's
say good money to ash her from Roslyn. Would you
still ask your trust an X?
Speaker 4 (07:31):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (07:32):
No, no, freaking away man, she cheated on me.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
I don't trust her.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
As far as I can flow her.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Ooh yeah, infidelity, you lose all trust there.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Sorry, there's callaen but a good morning callub. Would you
trust an ex?
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Well, I never trusted them to begin with, so that
would be a no.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
I don't think it's common to find anyone who would say.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Yes to that question, Cala, I totally get your point.
But if the reason two people broke up is because
they grew apart versus a trust it's being broken, does
that make sense, like maybe you can then trust that individual.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Yeah, Kalla, thanks for the call. I do agree that
that's the corollary to this whole thing. Yeah, if you cheat,
you lose your privileges. Correct. However, if we just drifted apart,
maybe there's kids, Maybe it's just a relationship that lost
its spark. Eventually it happens, doesn't mean I don't trust you.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
And that's where I think you would get the yes
you think is so rare.
Speaker 2 (08:24):

year old nurse who was running her first race, the
DC Cherry Blossom ten miler, when she collapsed from a
(15:24):
sudden cardiac arrest near ains Point on April sixth.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Now, thankfully a doctor and a nurse from gw where nearby,
they jumped in to perform CPR. Then DC Fire and EMS,
along with the Park Police, arrived quickly. They had a
defibrillator that was brought by a fireboat and a medical
team navigated road closures to reach her, and after she
was revived, Angel was airlifted to the hospital, where she
(15:48):
spent about a week recovering.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
They told me that I was a miracle. They told
me that a lot of people do not survive what
I went through and hearing the story, I was shot shocked.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Yes, but she's obviously walking miracle. And doctor David Wittberg
with the DC Fire and MENS explains.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
Things like this don't just happen by accident. They don't
happen because we hope things will work out. They happen
because our firefighter EMTs and paramedics get exquisitely good training.
What we do in EMS, it really really matters. What
we do in the first five ten minutes has a
profound impact.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
And what's great is On May twentieth, Angel was able
to reunite with the team that saved her life to
thank them personally.
Speaker 4 (16:31):

know that I am worth saving obstacles are meant to
be there to Mickey stronger and grow. But this obstacle
