good morning. How are you feeling and why are you
feeling good before five today?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
I'm feeling good because there's some organized chaos getting ready

our living room and also a bedroom upstairs, you would
know what I'm talking.

That's the staging area, correct, right, Whenever you're traveling, you
always have a staging area. That's where suitcases and the like. Good,

Can't have a tent. You just have to be behind
the lifeguard stand and all sides have to be open. Yes,
I did check the rules. But anyway, why are you
feeling good?

have to catch an uber to work today. That doesn't
mean my car is done, because it's not. Okay, But
so do you have a rental I rented?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Is it a fun one?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
It's a Chevy Equinox. But I've got to tell you something, Well,
it might not sound fun. Any car with new technology
is fun for me, yes, you know, because mine is
like ten My car is paid off ten years old,
so I don't want a monthly payment. But technology over
ten years has done what it does. It evolves. And

(01:54):
so I had to sit there for like twenty minutes
after I picked up the car and connect my phone
and look at car play and I'm like, oh wow,
it's very It's just a fun different kind of ride,
you know.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
That's how I test drive cars. I rent a car
and I remember that I liked it.

Top stories at the top of the hour. That's what
we call the news, and that's what you get when
you wake up with Toby and Chilly in the morning.
Here at ninety seven point one wash FM. Over the weekend,
I was in New York City. Told you about Maskammel
em Edingdong on the train to take the last train
out and to get to New York so I could
skip all kinds of shenanigans and festivities that would have
kept me up late. There was ahiccup though, Oh boy,

(10:38):
I'll tell you about the hiccup coming up in minutes.
Stay with us. You are waking up with Toby and
Chilly in the morning. It is Tuesday at ninety seven
point one washf M. Thank you for choosing us. The
road to m hm H double hockey sticks is sometimes
paved with good intentions. I told you guys last week,

(11:01):
before I left on the train to New York, that
I was intentionally taking the last train out.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Really Yeah, because you wanted to avoid socializing or the
fomo and staying out too late, because then you'd be
really tired the next morning.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Well, I was tired the next morning because the train
got in late, and by the time I got to
the hotel it was twelve thirty twelve forty, and of
course I had to decompress and come down sometime around
two o'clock. I think I fell asleep two am.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
And how did it go the next day?

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Well about that, I overslept the alarm and I rolled
into the meeting after breakfast and after I missed the introductions.
Oh so, as much as I tried to be on time,
good Toby time showed up. Yeah, I'm like, oh man,
it's nine forty. I was supposed to be there forty

(11:52):
minutes ago.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
So you might as well have gone into the city
earlier and hung out with your friends. I feel like
the outcome would have somehow been better.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Maybe I don't know. I just you know, I'm not
getting any younger. So my days of closing down random
bars in New York are over. But Toby, it stinks though,
because I felt so triumphant going into the going into
the train station in New York and getting to the hotel.
I'm like, you know what, I'm gonna just go to bed,

(12:20):
I'm gonna get up and I'm gonna be fine. And
then all of a sudden, womp wam wam. No. I
had to send texts to the superiors and explain, hey, guys,
I'm here, don't worry, I'm fine. I'll be there in
a second. Bom bom bomb. The road to you know
where is paved with good intentions.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Toby and Chilly's nearly impossible question, and the.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Road to winning is paved with your correct answer. What's
the question this morning?

Speaker 2 (12:50):
After trying them on, women will buy these only one
out of five times? What are we talking about?

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Broadway in the Park tickets up for grabs, four of
them to go to wolf Trap at the end of
the month. If you know the answer to that question,
call eight sixty six nine two, seven forty three sixty one.
The question again is.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
After trying them on, women will buy only these only
one out of five times? What are they?

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Would you say that the same is true for you
without giving away the answer or a hint, yes, right, yes,
Broadway in the Park, wolf Trap four pack of tickets
eight six six, ninet two seven forty three sixty one.
You know the answer? Call now get it right when
your nearly impossible question is on, Let's learn something new
together next, Toby.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
And Chili's nearly impossible question.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Chili, let me get that question from you one more
time for all of those of us who are listening
that might have missed it.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Sure, after trying them on, women will buy these only
one out of five times? What are they?

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Four pack passes Broadway in the Park at wolf Trap?
You could so be there. Let's go over here. What
is your name and where are you from?

Speaker 5 (14:00):
Crystal calling from Greensboro?

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Hello Crystal, and what is your guest this morning?

Speaker 5 (14:05):
I would guess jeans?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Is that about right for you? That maybe you try
five on but you only buy them one?

Speaker 5 (14:11):
I would think, so, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Why do you think that is? Is it because you
have to find the perfect fit and no two pair
of jeans fit the same way?

Speaker 5 (14:18):
I think so? And I think we always have a
vision in our head and it sometimes doesn't match.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Well, did you have a vision of winning this morning,
because jeans is the right answer. Congratulations, sweet sweet, thank
you so much.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Awesome, You're gonna go to wolf Trap. You're gonna enjoy
Broadway in the Park. You've got four tickets. It should
be an incredible time.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
Awesome, Thank you guys.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Thank you for calling us today, and congratulations on your win.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
Thanks so much.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
All right, we got more tickets tomorrow, another four pack
tickets Broadway in the Park at wolf Trap later on
this month, with another round of You're nearly impossible question,

the mid eighties. Right now it's seventy in Manassas.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
What's the first thing you did when you got up
this morning? It's a question, seriously, what's the answer to that.
Eight sixty six ninety two seven forty three sixty one
is the number. Call now and tell us or tap
the talk back microphone. It's wide open if you're signed
in listening to us on your iHeart app. There's a
study out that says we need to wait a certain
amount of time before we do this. When we wake up,

(17:26):
we'll tell you what it is. But in the meantime,
call us and tell us, what's the first thing you
do in the morning. We can't wait to hear from you.
With Toby and Chilly in the morning, and that's on
the way a way Tyby and Chilly in the morning
on ninety seven point one was CHEFM at eight sixty
six nine two seven forty three sixty one, or you
can tap the talk back microphone if you're signed into

(17:47):
your iHeart app, want to hear from you this morning
and know what you think about this new study that's
out that says checking your phone right after you wake
up is no good because it can increase stress and brainfall.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
We knew that part right, like, well, okay, don't look
at your phone. But the part of the study that
kind of I'm having trouble with is to wait twenty
minutes before you check your phone. That seems like an
awfully long time for me to see what happened in
the news overnight, if there was any text overnight, I

(18:20):
don't know if I could.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
But your brain, according to the survey, is still transitioning
from sleep, so got to protect your brain.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
They say, I get it, but I'm afraid I'm a
little bit too What is the word, I'm looking wired?

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Connected, a little bit too addicted?

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Okay, that's the word. See, that's the word I was
looking for. Well, how long do you wait before you
look at your phone?

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Well, typically it's before I get out of bed, So
I'm I'm one to talk. Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
So we've now learned that the first thing Toby and
I do when we get up in the morning is
check our phones.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Good morning, Vinnie and Alexandria. Thanks for calling. Toby and
Chilly in the morning. What's the first thing you have
to do when you get up in the morning? Brush
my teeth.

Speaker 6 (19:00):
I need to get the morning breast taste out of
my mouth before I do anything else.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Come brushing my teeth. You need to get minty fresh
ready to start the day.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
That's impressive because I think brushing my teeth is number
five on the list.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
That's the last thing I do before I am done
being ready for the day. I'll have my clothes on
for the day and then I'll be like, Okay, time
to brush my teeth, right Vin, He's got to be
minty fresh before he responds to any text returns and
he calls, all right, man, you're giving us something to
aspire to this morning. Toby and Chilly in the Morning
on ninety seven point one watch FM question, what is

(19:34):
the first thing you have to do in the morning
before you do anything else. We'll get back to this
talk in just a few minutes, but first, another one
of your crazy first date stories. This involves a date
that was ruined by social media app.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Lisa in Baltimore got busted using Snapchat during her first date.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
How did he react? You'll find out in minutes. Is
Toby and Chilly in the morning continues, don't go anywhere.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
It's Toby and Chilly's crazy first day in.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Charms City, a very beautiful place to visit, live and work.
Lisa is here from Baltimore, so take us on this
crazy first dated venture.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
So I meet this man on Tinder and we decide
to go out and we're going to dinner. Things are
going really well, and I thought he was leaning in
for a kiss. I'm a confident girl, so I turn
around and shoot my shot and he was going to
like kiss my cheek.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
So I'm like, okay, that was a little awkward.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
So, like any female would do, we go to the
bathroom and I reach out to all my girlfriends in
Snapchat and I send them a Snapchat being like Ryan's
ostadge my kiss. This is like so awkward. Well, I
get back to the dinner table and he's like, oh,
you sent me a snap Open the snap that I
sent my girlfriends in front of me, and then proceeded
to ask me to pay for dinner.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Whoa, he asked you to pay for dinner because he
wasn't happy with the snap I.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Don't know, so I basically just paid for it and
then like just balanced.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
We never talked after that. I was like, this is
the end.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Knowing what you know now, will you be snapping anything
mid date to your girlfriends? Ever? Again, I'm banned. I kicked.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
I'm off that.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Whatever happened to that guy? Do you check his snap feed?

Speaker 6 (21:17):
You know?

Speaker 3 (21:17):
I have ran into him at festivals with my new boyfriends.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
So I'm like, oh, this is great and it makes
for a great story, which reminds me if you've got
a crazy first date that you've been on, good or bad,
it's a story that Chili and I have got to hear.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Sharing that story right now will make you an instant
finalist to go see Hozir when he comes to town.
Thanks to our friends at Live Nation.

I have to have a cup of coffee. I can't
take good morning. I can't take a phone call, a text,
or do anything. I need my coffee in the morning
or I'm going to be a grumpy person.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
