Toby and Chili mornings on demand on ninety seven point
one Wash Up.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Them Toby and Chilly in the Morning, ninety seven point
one wash FM.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Good Morning.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I'm kiddoshe from Good Morning Washington Chili. Getting ready for
a week of vacation. When do you start packing for
your vacations? Because I have a feeling that we start
packing at different times.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
Yeah, so we leave Saturday morning, and I started, uh yesterday, okay,
like yesterday after I got home from work, like really
really started.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
That seems pretty realistic. I mean, or family vacation or.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Family right before child. Yeah, it would be a day
before thing.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
What about you?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Sometimes I'm packing as I'm the ubers downstairs waiting and
I'm like, no, throw a couple more shirts in here
and then I go.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
But realistically, day of, yeah.
Speaker 5 (00:44):
Day of.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
A lot of times I packed day of. That's amazing.
International trips for work in a.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Way, though, kid, I think, and maybe I'm wrong, it's
easier to pack when you have to fly somewhere versus
when you're air being being at a place that you
drive to, like the Outer Banks. Yeah, because we're taking
a lot of stuff like the boogie boards, the beach chairs,
the cool cabana canopy. You wouldn't be flying with those things,
(01:10):
so you don't have to worry.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
All you have to worry when you fly somewhere is
your clothes, clean underwear. That's it. The rest you can buy.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
So it makes it a little bit more challenging, right
because I don't want to buy a beach chair when
I get down there, and I don't want to buy another.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Boogiey board if we already have one.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yeah, and you have the car, so I feel like
you're like, oh, and we'll take this in this you know,
so you'll probably overpack in that situation.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
We absolutely could. Well.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Just you talking about packing the car up for a
road trip and a family vacation is making me jealous.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
I know, we're very fortunate.
Speaker 2 (01:42):

Speaker 4 (08:11):
With some storms later and a chance of some flash flooding.
Hi's around ninety right now, though it's seventy eight in rest.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
In Babe, can you get no? I'm kidd o'she in
for Toby. There is a lot of a list out
this morning that the things people used to be ashamed
of doing that is now considered to be healthy. I
will tell you what's at the top of that list
and why Chili says I was one of the best
things she ever did.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
We'll share that with you. Coming up with Toby and
Chilly in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Toby and Chiley in the Morning, ninety seven point one
wash FM. I'm kiddo'she from Good Morning Washington. Stop feeling
guilty about saying no?
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, So that's the number one thing in this article
that talks about these are things we used to be
ashamed of but are now seen as being healthy. And
saying no without guilt is number one on the list.
It's a great way to set boundaries and honor your needs.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
And I am proud to say those two letters are
part of my vocabulary now.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
And that's easier said than done, because I feel like
I've heard you talk about this for years and I'm
finally slowly like being okay with it.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Yeah, Because my whole thing was if I say no,
then I'm going to be perceived as somebody who's difficult
or isn't helpful or doesn't want to be a part
of the family or friends circle. But that's not really
what it is. It's for my own mental well being.
So that's why it's now considered healthy and you feel
better on the other side of it. Also on this list,
(09:33):
kind of similar to this is making it, you know,
asking for help when you need help.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (09:38):
That comes in at number ten. Yeah, is that something
that you're getting better at I'm working on it and
I just did it last week. Was in a situation
at work where I was like.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Normally I would have been like, I've got to do
this on my own, but I said, no, I'm going
to ask for help, and I did and I felt
better again.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
It's a work in progress.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Number two going to therapy. Seeking mental health support is
now widely accepted.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Bravo. Oh, I love therapy.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
And rounding out the top three living alone, you know,
embracing your independence and self totally fine. I think it's
a very healthy. It's healthy for all of us to
have that living alone chapter in life.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, once you get to work. Check out the full
list at washfm dot com.
Speaker 1 (10:17):

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Do you think you have about nine phone apps you
just don't use anymore? Diana?
Speaker 7 (11:37):

and kind of go through and clean everything out. But yeah,
a ton of them, how about you?
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Absolutely?
Speaker 4 (11:49):

for other ones that I need to download. That's an
excellent guess, And it's also the correct answer this morning.

Speaker 3 (15:04):

going into the ocean. Those two go I have to
go into the water.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
I love the ocean.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
I respect the ocean, but I've never been terrified of
it before.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Well, and that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Now it's in your Head's like it's not gonna be
enjoyable when you're there. If you're worried about jellyfish.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Yeah, I'm gonna have to have the meat tender riser
ready to go in case I get stung.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
You know what I'm saying, Like I shouldn't have.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
I'm gonna delete it. I'm just going to delete that
the group start there.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah, and just pretend like I didn't read any.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Of that stuff.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Well, you can't be alone on this because I have
seen it a lot in the news and a lot
of stories about it.
Speaker 3 (16:13):

Speaker 2 (16:16):
And can we assure Chili that she will be okay
on her vacation and relax when she gets into the
ocean eight six six nine two seven four three six one.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
We would love for you to chime in.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
We'll get to some of your phone calls coming up
in a little bit, but first, our crazy first date
is next.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
Yeah, Christy from Hagar'stown went on a date with a friend.
They were going to try to get out of the
friend zone. Everything was going swimmingly until his ex showed
up and tried to rekindle things right.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Can't wait to hear how this turns out. We'll share
that with you next time. Ninety seven point one wash FM.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
It's Toby and Chili's crazy first day to Hagar'stown.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Not quite wild and wonderful, but in Maryland. Chrissy, good
morning and welcome.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
We understand you've got a crazy first date story to tell.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Chilly and I. We are listening.
Speaker 7 (17:08):
We actually went to school together. We were actually really
good friends, and then he wanted to try to start dating,
which I was kind of hesitant at first because I
was like, we're really good friends and I don't want
it to ruin the friendships. I was like, all right,
we can try, and we went on our first date.
We were sitting down about to eat and a girl
had walked in, which I didn't know exactly who she was,
(17:30):
and she came walking over to the table and she
was like, hey, how are you and he kind of
looked at her. It happened to be his ex girlfriend
and they started chit chatting at the table while I
was sitting there. I don't know why they had broken
up to begin with, but you know, she was apologizing
for something, but he was like, yeah, i'll hit you
up when I leave here, and I'm looking at him
and I'm like, this is very awkward, Like why would
(17:52):
you want to hit her up?
Speaker 4 (17:53):
What did they say when you asked that very fair question.
Speaker 7 (17:56):
He was just like, I just want to see how
she's doing. And she was like, yeah, we're just friends,
and I'm like, well, we're just friends, but we're actually
on our first date. He looked at me and it
was gotten very awkward. So then him and I started
like kind of like arguing or bickering back and forth,
and we end up leaving. And then a couple days
later he had hit me up wanting to go on
a second date. But then in that meantime I found
(18:18):
out that they got back together, so he was kind
of actually trying to date both of us.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
So have you moved on since? Have you found somebody
with less drama?
Speaker 7 (18:27):
I have not found someone with less drama, but I
have moved on.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Top stories, Top of the Hour.

okay to go to the beach, but I can't go
too far out. You know, I would just never be comfortable.
I'm with you, Derek.

Lexi and Ashburn, welcome to the show. You have no
fears of the ocean at all.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
I guess if I had.
Speaker 7 (21:31):
To pick something about it, though it would probably be
bleeding in open water since it can track the shit
hungry sharks.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
Oh good, Great, now I have to worry about any
cuts on my leg.
