from Arlington with a crazy first date story to tell.

There was a guy who I knew from just classes.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
We didn't really have mutual overlaps, but we had been
flirting and one day.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
He asked me to go out on a date with him.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
We went to a Italian restaurant off campus. We're sitting,
we're chatting, we're having we've just ordered our meal, and
he starts getting really distracted and he keeps looking over
at a table near.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Us, and then he tells me, you know this is.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Awkward, but that's my ex girlfriend over there, and we
made eye contacts, and like, now I feel weird, so
I'm just going to go over and say hi. I
was just like, oh, of course, I totally understand, and they.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Just be talking and talking and talking and it's taking
a long time.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
He doesn't ever end up coming back over.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
To our table. He just leaves with her. I'm then
left with two entrees, the bill, and.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
No way to get home because he drove us there,
so I had to ask the manager if they could
call me a cab but I wasn't expecting to have
to take a cab, so I didn't have any cash,
So then the cab.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Had to drive me all around looking for an ATM.
So this date ended up costing me quite a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Both in terms of money and humiliation, not to.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Mention me to ad in anxiety, you know, due to inflation.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
This is a guy that you knew on campus, So
at some point you go back to school. Do you
confront him? Does he apologize like what happened?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
He never apologized. We never spoke again.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I just would throw a daggers at class. There was
no more flirting before and after class.
