Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's biggest stories of the day.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Fresh Chicago Bears fans, some sad news this morning. Hall
of Famer Steve Mongo McMichael, a member of the dominant
Chicago Bears famed forty six defense of the eighties, he
passed away at the age of sixty seven. He was
diagnosed with als known as Luke Garrick's DISEASEY in twenty
twenty one, and his fight has been well documented.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
It's a terrible thing.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
He played one season for the Patriots, one with the
Green Bay Packers, and thirteen seasons in between with the Bears,
when he made his mark, including playing in a team
record one hundred and ninety one consecutive games. In total,
he played two hundred and seven games from eighty one
to ninety four. The defensive tackle won a Super Bowl,
of course, in eighty five, and list twice selected First
Team All Pro and the Pro Bowls. So rest in peace, Mango.

(00:49):
And another NFL news, The draft is tonight. I know
all of you, Jason especially, will be glued to the
TV all the coverage.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I know you're so excited about this. The first round
of course.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Tonight Control eight Eastern and the second third rounds tomorrow
and then the fourth round or I guess remaining four
rounds or more rounds and that on Saturday, and you
watch you go, you go start to finish. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
I have all the NFL's channels, all of them.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah, yeah, you know there's different rounds on different channels.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Different rounds of different channels. Oh that's interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Well, okay, all right, So who's going number one tonight?
I would be curious, you know, Brett, Brett, Brett is
going number one. A lot of people are talking about Brett.
That's a hot take though, because some people are saying
Brett's going to go too and you're saying, one, he's
fresh out of University of Denver and these people this year,
let me look at this, we got a lot of
like the quarterbacks, have a lot of quarterback he names

(01:43):
this year. Like sometimes I wonder, sometimes I wonder if
quarterbacks weren't born to be quarterbacks, Like when your name
is like John Powers quarterback, or like Steve Laser.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Like the NFL Big predictions. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
It's like these guys like Brock Brock, like you're supposed
to be a quarterback. Yeah, I guess, but I was
reading this morning with these with these people are I
don't care who was drafted in nineteen thirty six.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
I don't I'm sorry, I don't care, not concerned with it.
I feel like I was there. I want to know
who's going to get picked.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Cam Ward, Oh yeah, he just he strikes me as
a that's.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
A quarterback, cam mana is a hot like quarterback. Name
what are the quarterbacks we have? I'm going through the
list here of the predicted pause.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I know you.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
I think you wrote this.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Actually yeah, yeah, it's your.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Article that I'm reading. I know you know everything there
is to know.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Well, Shadoor Sanders, I mean, that's not really a traditional
sort of quarterback.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
He knew you know what I'm talking about them like.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Like Rex, right, I don't know every now and again
you'll just just like, oh, that guy was born to
be a football player, like that's that's a football player name.
And now I can't come up with any other examples
on the fly, so it just take my word for him.
A fast movie wildfire in Ocean City, New Jersey, has
into over twelve thousand acres now, making it one of
the state's largest. In nearly twenty years, a blaze known

(03:05):
as the Jones Road wildfire, began on Tuesday and has
quickly spread due to dry conditions and strong winds. As
of last night, the fire was approximately fifty percent contained.
Official sept the fire will continue to burn until substantial
rainfall arrives, which is expected later in the week. Five
thousand residents have been evacuated from Lacy and Ocean townships
with the evacuation orders were lifted later in the day,

(03:26):
so if you know anybody anywhere near there, check on them,
make sure they're okay. Pope Francis is now lying in
state and the church is going to extend hours to
pay respects due to the size of the crowds. His
body was moved to Saint Peter's yesterday where he will
lie in state for three days to allow the public
to pay their respects. The funeral scheduled for Saturday ten
am local time, and of course world leaders from all

(03:49):
over the place will attend. And then the conclave where
one hundred and thirty five cardinals who are eligible to vote,
and the conclave will select a new pope and boy
a lot of speculation about who is going to be.
I mean, we've got we got the guy from MSNBC.
You know the nerdy guy that does all the election
stuff on the We got him on the wall talking
about the Pope.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Man.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
That dude is into this, talking about odds, talking about
could be this guy, could be that guy I saw
a whole rundown last night. Well, this guy is more
of an administrative cardinal, and this guy is more of
a spiritual cardinal. And this guy he doesn't have any
experience running business of the church. But this guy's beloved
for his takes hot takes on the Bible or whatever. Yeah,

(04:33):
Jason Dart, by the way, that's a quarterback. Oh you
started selling John Gruden right now. That's a quarterback. Jason
Dart and Jason Dart. Yeah, you know Cam Newton.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
I don't know. Yeah, it's a quarterback. Jason Brown.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Is it Jason or jack Jackson Dart, No, Jackson, that's
even better with.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
An X, Yes, Jackson Darsh. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
When he was born, his parents were like, this kid
is going to be you have to be good at something.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
The name like Jackson with an EX.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
You cannot be a loser if you're Jackson with an
X with the last name Dart and you're not doing
something great we had a problem, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Me.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
On the other hand, I just had a generic ass name.
I had two first names, first and last. I mean
I could have been anything and nobody would have cared.
And then I changed it all and made a fake name,
you know, a nickname, so really nobody cares. Passengers said
they were trapped in a driverless vehicle another one of
these stories, wham waimo. I think it's an Austin woman

(05:31):
named Becky posted on TikTok acftter her waimo ROBOTAXI locked
her and her friends inside on an expressway on Mopak
in Austin, where two lanes merged and traffic flies by.
I guess the thing got confused. They were told the
car couldn't be moved remotely. Even worse, they couldn't be
let out. It wasn't until she threatened to live stream
the whole thing. The door is finally unlocked. Then then

(05:53):
as they walked away, the car randomly took off like
nothing happened.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
That is so weird.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
They responded, saying that riders can any time by pulling
the handle twice, and insisted the car was around a
thirty mile per hour road with a sidewalk. This isn't
the first clips they've had with this thing. Are we
Are we sure that these are Are we sure we
should have these out there yet?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Have we fully vetted?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
You know? Why do we have to be test pilots
as customers like? But I don't know, maybebe we'll let
these things run around a little while longer before you
put people in them, because I'm just we're just hearing
things that are a little weird, like them going in
circles in the parking lot of you know, strip malls
and people can't get out and whatever else.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
But they have them in Arizona. I guess they have
them in Austin. So they don't have them everywhere yet.
But this is where we're going. You know, We're headed
in this direction where you're uber or whatever comes and
picks you up and there's nobody there.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
I'm gonna try next week. I'm going to Austin. You're
gonna get in one. One is there? I'm gonna get
in it.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, you're afraid to leave your home and you're gonna
get in a driverless vehicle.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
You don't like other people to drive, right, but you's
driving okay? I think I'd rather a way more than
Pauline those. So there's that. No me, you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Regret saying that when you get into that Weimo and
you're gonna be down the street in a river.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
I would never a river as opposed to you. He
just pulls out in front of cars. That's it.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
So it's either wind up at a river or die.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Get you where you go. What is it is that
your version?

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Is that what you came up with that you forgot
to You were a trademarket, just like Vevno.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
I believe it's Waymouth, just like it's Weamo.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Nevada woman reported a drone hovering right outside her bedroom
window at three point thirty in the morning. She says
it felt like high tech peeping because it was, and
it's really really scary. After sharing her story in a
neighborhood watch group, others chimed in with their own creepy
droning encounters, including one neighbor who says a drone hovered
over her backyard while she was tanning. You know these

(07:50):
things are being used for stuff like that. Police say
if a drum flies low over your property to a
civil issue unless it's tied to stalking, harassment or trespassing,
then you can call the cops. Drone Palace is supposed
to follow FAA rules, register the devices and stay above
two hundred and fifty feet over private property unless they're
working jobs like real estate, and that these people don't

(08:10):
care about that. And finally, in light of my recent
interest and my desire to make all of you interested
in legos with your grown up money, because I think
it's very relaxing for the most part, unless something doesn't
come together properly and then you then it's very frustrating
and angering and completely defeats the purpose. But an austin
woman has set the record for the largest Minions collection.

(08:32):
The woman in Australia has turned her love for the
Minions into a Guinness World Record. Her name is I
don't know what it is he Beneki, I don't know,
but V E N E c K. She fell in
love with the Minions immediately while watching the first Despicable
Me film fifteen years ago. Now she has an over
one thousand item collection. She says, I'm just a big

(08:54):
kid at heart, and I have no problem with that.
But imagine this woman. I mean, you know, you meet
her on a dating app or whatever, and you're like, hey,
let's hang out. And you go to her house and
she has a thousand Minions items on. I mean, what
do we think about that?

Speaker 1 (09:08):
I'm probably gonna head home. What I know, it's a
lot of clutter.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
I'm giving her a fake ring. Yeah, you know what
I yeah, you don't get a real ring in your Minions.
