Just won't tell you that. And I'm gonna tell you
(03:29):
something The last person I heard say this was was
Mayor Warden years ago.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Drown turn around, don't drown.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
And I don't know, may not have been Mary Wooden,
may have been somebody else, but anyway, hey Meredith, Meredith says,
she hears me loud and clear. I want you guys
to try to use today if you can try to
use that talkback feature on the iHeartRadio app. You can
send me a message that way and I can play
it while I'm on the radio, so people can hear
you and hear what you You know, they can hear
(03:59):
you too, not just me, They're near you too.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Thank you to.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Carol in my BFF. She is listening right now. See
she said you got home quick. Well, it took me
about as soon as I did that last break. I mean,
I ran to the car and I got out, and
thankfully when I left it wasn't raining as hard. Now
(04:23):
I'm hearing it come back down in my area, and
you might be hearing it come back down in your
area as well. And I'm, you know, trying to keep
in touch with what's happening looking at you know a
lot of the stories the commercial appeals, y'all email me
if you want to share, please feel free to email me.
I wanted to give you an update, to just kind
of give you an update on some things that's happening,
(04:44):
and I'm want to share some stories with you as
well that I didn't get a chance to share inside
of the tea because I was trying.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
To get out of there. Hey, Vernon, how you doing?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
She said, I'm coming in loud and clear, thank you.
But yeah about Jamrant. Jam Rant is a very talented
young man. And I heard you, Meredith this morning. I
heard what you said, and you know what you have
me thinking again. We you know, we expect a lot
(05:15):
out of these young people. I mean, we do, and
we definitely expect a lot out of.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
People who are not who I guess you know.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
They they're celebrities, and they don't often think that they
are role models. You know what I'm saying, And you
know a lot of was Charles Barkley years ago said
I am not your role mode of your kids role my.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
You know what I'm saying. No, Yes you are, yes, y'all, Yes, y'all, Okay,
you are.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Whenever you are thrust into a position of prominence or
a celebrity status, you have become my role mom, and
for Jahn Morant and other celebrities out there, basketball players
and all of that. You know, when you this is
(06:09):
when you really become a role model. Now, you become
a role model when you when when you start selling tickets,
when people start coming to the games to see you,
when these kids start coming. Hey, mister Burks, he says,
I hear you. When these kids start coming to the
games to see you, You've become a role model.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Ms.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Pamela, Hey, I'm tuned in. I can hear you loud
and clear. Love you, thank you, honey, love you. But
you become a role model when these kids start looking
up to you, when people pay their money to come
to see you play. When we start doing that, you
(06:49):
become a role model. Okay, number one, I'm getting to
what Meredith said this morning. You cannot you can.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
You can? You can.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
You can make gestures like that all you want, you
know what I'm saying, But you can't. You you cannot
do it on that age. Because now, whether you know
it or not, you are a role model. And I'm
gonna tell you, these kids they emulate what they see
their role models doing. And so Ja Morant like a
(07:25):
lot of other basketball players and celebrities have found out.
You man, you a role model. You are now you
can be one or two. You can be a good
one hmhm, or you can be a bad one. And unfortunately,
in the NBA, you can't be a bad one too long.
But let me tell you what the NBA did. So
the NBA, they said, no, we're not gonna do anything
(07:49):
to him. Don't leave y'all alone. Don't let jab be jaw.
You know what I'm saying a Ja Morant, that is,
don't let Ja Morant be Jahn Morant. And so what
they did was, and I'm trying to see it. I'm
seeing all these videos of the flooding in Memphis, y'all.
(08:09):
It's just, oh lord, it's just it ain't pretty, okay,
But they said they won't he's not going to face
any discipline for the finger gun motion. You know. NBA
issued warnings, though no further penalties to the Grizzlies, Ja
(08:29):
Morant and Warriors. Buddy held along with both teams for gestures. Also. Okay,
so now, Buddy, you got gestures too.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Tuesday night, So both of y'all.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
The league rule that the celebrations were not intended to
be violent in nature, but inappropriate, and you know they
should refrain.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Now.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
I was talking to somebody this morning and they said
to me, now, isn't that the same thing they ruled
the last time he did it? Hey, I don't know.
I love Joe, Hey, Jackson was a Jackson. He said,
I'm hearing you loud and clear, emphasis on loud. Shut
(09:19):
up Jackson? Now, Now why he make me talk to
him like that? Sorry Jackson? Y'all remember those star kissed
tuna commercials back in the day. Kids won't remember this. Sorry, Charlie,
y'all remember that. Sorry Jackson. Miss Tosha Hey's sister. She says,
(09:43):
I'm so glad that you are able to work from home.
I'm always concerned for you, delivery drivers and others.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
She says, I'm getting y'all look at.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
This, others like you whose job sometimes requires them to
get out and serve on weather days. Glad you're home
and safe, and I pray that it stays that way.
Love you, Love you, Misstosha, and I hope it stays
that way as well. And I hope you guys stay
safe wherever you are, because I know a lot of
(10:14):
people listen to us all over the country, and you're
not experiencing what we're experiencing here in Memphis.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
But we got a lot of water out there.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
And Prince Charles, is it okay if I post the pictures?
And Chuck, is it okay that if I share the
pictures that you guys have sent me. Is it okay
if I share those on social media? Because I'm sure
people would love to see those pictures.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Okay. So I stepped out of work.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
And then I had to go back in today, y'all,
and I was gonna call my bosses because I was
on Mount Mariah turning on American Way to come to
the studios right and it was so much water. You
know the lane that's closest to that far right lane
that's close to Chuck Hutton chevrolet. I couldn't even we couldn't,
(11:06):
nobody could drive in that lane. It was so filled
with water. And when I turned to get back onto
American Way, it was so much water that I almost
That was when I said, Lord, why am I trying
to risk my life to get on.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Now?
Speaker 1 (11:25):
I'm telling you, I'm trying to tell you because it
was so much water. I literally walked in the upstairs,
and our president was there and some of the salespeople,
and we had some people in from out of town too.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Uh, they were there, and y'all, I was shaking.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Because I could not believe that, you know, I had
come through that kind of water.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
And I was glad that I you know, that I
was okay, that I am okay, you know what I'm saying.
And I thought about all of you that might have
been you know, maybe you had to get out there,
or maybe you have to be out there. And then
I saw those school buses and some of the pictures
that folks sent me in, and you know, it just
kind of breaks my heart that people have to be
out there, you know, like that, in the water like
(12:12):
even you know, and risking their lives like they do.
But also it hurts my heart. Last night, I don't
know I heard all of the I was watching Fox thirteen.
I ain't gonna put y'all in all my business, but
I will tell you that I was in one of
the areas last night where the weather in the tornado warning.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
You know, there were there were tornadoes all over the place.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
And I did something that I have not had to
do in years. I went and hid in the closet.
And I didn't I didn't just hide.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
I was. I was. I was nervous.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
I was scared, but I was praying too, and I
was keeping up with what was going on. And I'm
gonna tell you something else I did that. I don't
know if a lot of people did it, but I
was watching is it Andrew Humphries, the meteorologists on Fox
thirteen him, and he said, call people in your area
and let them know what's going on.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
And that's what I did. I call my neighbors and
they didn't have a clue.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
And I told I call my cousin Jason and my
cousin Bobby, and I said, I said, are y'all okay,
what's going on?
Speaker 2 (13:30):
And he said, we sleep? And I said, get.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yourselves in that closet. Get it in that closet, because
because I was, I was nervous. You know what I'm saying, Hey,
miss Parker, she says, Stormy, You're coming in beautifully, always
enjoying your show.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Thank you, thank you, thank you. But yeah, so last
night was scary for me. I don't know what it
was like for you.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
But if you'd like to share that with me, if
you want to tap the app, or if you want
to send an email, a message and a bottle a baby,
because some of y'all right about now, I don't get
out there. If you don't have to be out there,
don't you do it? Captain, I see you trying to
(14:15):
call on Facebook.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
I see you. Let's see. Ms. Gray says, that's right.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Children look up to their basketball players as they would
do their cartoon heroes. People don't want to pay their
money to see a fool, don't matter how good they
are on the court. Oh my goodness. And she just
sent me a picture of some tornado damage. There's a
car under a tree and a car on top of
(14:41):
the tree, on top of the car.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
My goodness. I saw that guy in Selmer and I just.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
I was like, oh the guy you y'all see the
guy in Selma, the black guy. You know what, when
I come back, I'm gonna take a break. And when
I come back, I'm gonna let you hear that guy
as our news partner. Uh, they actually talk to him.
I'm gonna let you hear him. And what he said, well,
we'll tell you his story, and miss del Bierer says,
loud and clear. On my end, she said the lights
(15:12):
went out yesterday, was not able to listen. Oh honey,
we got to get you some so you can hear
us over there, let's see. King Harrio says, I can
hear you loud and clear. He sent pictures as well.
That water's high in some areas, y'all. Also, just be careful,
hey Storley, Uh, miss Page, stop now, U kn't take stop?
(15:39):
He said, you you loud and clear. He said it flooded,
So he sent me a video, Send me a video.
Oh my goodness, a truck is driving through the walk.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Oh my, y'all, don't do that. Don't drown.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Turn around, Monica Miles, Hey girl, Okay, send your messages.
I'm gonna I'm gonna let you hear the guy from
Selma that talked to our news partner in Fox thirteen
on the way. And I'm also gonna tell you about
a story. And maybe you heard the story about the
man who sent his children left his children won six
(16:21):
and ten in the McDonald's playhouse to go on a
job interview.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
H we'll talk about that on the way, all right.
Thank y'all for being with me. We'll be back.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
One part of the part the next party Mailbox, which
is about mailboxing, which is on across the street.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
That man was in Selmer, those wins.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
You just heard me read it one hundred and sixty
miles per hour. Did you hear did you hear how
he said it blew him now he mentioned the mattress
and sound like Aladdin to me. And I'm not joking.
I'm not trying to you know, joke, because that man
is here today. Do you know he said that was
(17:10):
the second tornado he survived, second.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
That he survived. And you still hearing that music? Is
the music gone? Tracy? Tracy just messaged me to say
your music is playing over you. Is it gone?
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Is the music gone? Because it should be gone. You
should not be hearing that music. Hopefully that music is
out of here. Get on out of here, getting on
out of here music. It shouldn't be playing right now.
It should be gone. It's gone on my end. So
I don't know where you're seeing it or if you're
still hearing it, but it should be gone. And I
(17:53):
told you guys, I was gonna let you hear some
people from the talkback feature. So I'm gonna play a
couple of those.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
On me.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
I saw on Facebook where the guy from the Warrior,
the one that.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
You named, he made the gesture first, and.
Speaker 6 (18:07):
Then Joe came in behind him and did the same
thing that he did to him. So maybe they didn't
find a job because they weren't gonna find the other
guy because.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
He did do it first. This is sparisk, keep up
the good works throng.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Okay, Bresk, I appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Tell Jackson, we're talking about gestures. You just talked back
to women. However, you could have send a gesture sometimes required.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
But.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
I could have said a gesture.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Is that what she was saying? Yeah, So hopefully the
music is gone. Just getting the text here. Let's see.
We can hear your conversation plus your theme music at
the same time, but it should not be playing. Why
is the theme music playing? Let me figure this out,
and we're gonna come back and we're gonna we're gonna
talk because it should not. I don't see the music
(18:58):
on my end, so let me get this, but I
see it or here go on my hand. But you know, technology,
that is one of the reasons why just one of
the reasons why we are a little bit nervous in
Memphis about that XA.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
We don't know what We don't know what this is
gonna do.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Even though it is supposedly up and running and everything
seems to be okay.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
But is it though, Because you all remember.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
About a couple of months ago, a lady called in
and she says she lives in that what is it,
three eight one o nine area where the computer is,
and she said that she's been getting these sos's on
her cell phone and she said that wasn't happening before.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
And when she said that, I said.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Girl, I've been getting them on mine too, So I
don't know what that is about. But I really am hoping,
and you know, for the best as far as you
know Xai is concerned. I want to be the kind
of person that says, you know, this is going to
be good for the city, this is going to be
But I really, honestly, I can't say that because I
(20:13):
don't really understand it, and I don't really know what's
going on with Xai.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
I mean, I don't a lot of us. All we
want to do is understand it.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
I had a conversation with Bobby White, and it was
a good conversation.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
You know, he was on the polls and.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Let me tay thank you to him for doing the show,
and he explained a lot of good stuff, you know
what I'm saying. But even after I was taught, I
tell y'all, I was talking to a friend and they
were like, well, what are they doing with this? And
why is that there? If that is why they're doing this,
and I was like, oh my goodness, now I got
to have it. I told Bobby too, because he texted
me was it yesterday? And I told him, I said,
(20:47):
we need to have round two because I really want
to understand this whole XAI thing because I do not
understand it, and y'all don't.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
We don't understand it. We don't know what's going on
with that.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
But anyway, I was trying to let you hear and
I think y'all couldn't hear it because of the music.
The guy that was on Fox thirteen, that's in Selmer,
that was in the storm last night, this is him.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Listen at this.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
I woke up it's like around about once something and
I got towards my h towards my bathroom. I had
to stuff my mattress up. So and it came through.
It came through real fast, and it threw me. It
took me a loop out the out of the door,
knot the windows, dolledge.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
How is your home now? Oh, it's gone gone, It
is gone. It's gone like a train. That's what it
sounds like, a train.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
It threw me from the one part of the one
part to the next part was by mailbox, which is
about mailboxing, which is on across the street.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Wow, those winds were one hundred and sixty sixty miles
per hour in Selmer. It was a e F three tornado,
is what I saw, with peak wind speeds reaching one
hundred and sixty miles per hour.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
He was in his house. I think he lived in
a mobile home.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
If I'm not mistaken, If I'm incorrect, somebody corrected me.
But if you saw that interview, because it's on Fox
thirteen right now. And I went and I looked at
that and that's where I saw him, and I just
I'm blown away. He said that was a second tornado
that he's been in. The second. Wow, those winds a one
(22:23):
hundred and Sixtyes, he did say. He said it flew
me from it flew him through the window, through the wall,
through the window, and then so and he was talking
about a mattress. So I was just wondering because it
sounded a little like Aladdin to me that mattress. Was
he flying holding onto the mattress? And it was amazing
(22:48):
to me too that he only had a few scrapes.
Ooh see Chausick chatting.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
But Fox thirteen.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
She didn't ask him that, sir, where you fly own
the mattress? Because he said he you know, he ended
up by the mailbox in the neighbor's yard. Incredible, incredible, incredible,
y'all tapping that iHeart Radio app. We got a lot
(23:20):
of water.
Speaker 7 (23:20):
Out there, and the captain receiving you long and clear.
Yes you are coming in out and clear all over Memphis, Tennessee. Yes, indeed,
and jail Jack and Jack I mean Jack sewn Shawn. Okay, anyway,
mayo merrit it leave alone, God blessed.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
I'm not laughing at you, Jackson. M h m hm
m m.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Hey, captain, thank you for checking in on that iHeart
Radio app.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
Storm Tel Jackson. We're talking about gestures.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
We just talked back to him.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
However, you could have sent a gesture.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
But.
Speaker 8 (24:07):
Miss is Linda from the East, sorry area.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
I am hearing You're loud and Cleary's so good to
hear you. Please say how Stormy.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
I saw on faithbook where the god from the warrior,
the one that you named, he made the gesture first,
and then John came in behind him and did the
same thing that he did to him. So maybe they
didn't find job because they weren't gonna find the other
guy because he did.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Do it first.
Speaker 8 (24:35):
And the place to be is with Stormy. T the experience.
Then seventy w D eight loud and clif and I
love it. Thank you big Kahunah.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Stephen Sidney, Hey, he says, here you loud and clear,
Stephen Angela Sidney. Here sounds great. Thank you. Oh man, y'all, y'all,
ain't you so? I wanted to tell you guys about
the guy I was telling you before, you know, the break,
about the guy that left the kids his kids at
(25:10):
the McDonald's. Be safe, Stormy, You're not risking your life.
God have let me see God have my sister not
being selfish. But we need to hear you on the
AM station. You're fired. Thank you, mister Sweeney checking in
with me on social media.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
So the guy and I'm trying to figure out, trying
to find a story so I can tell you where
he's from. I know y'all know the story. So he
left his children at home. Okay, here's the story. Left
them kids in the house. I'm not at the house,
and sorry. He took them to McDonald's. A one year old,
a six year old and a ten year old. Right,
and he left them at McDonald's. So I guess somebody
(25:53):
in McDonald's called the police. Right, So the police find him,
the children's mother to pick them up. Police find him, right, uh,
he said. Now he told them folks that you know,
he was attending a job interview. Okay, he was charged
(26:15):
with deprivation of a minor after a concerned customer alerted authorities.
You got it, okay, hmm. So Antonio Brown, y'all know
Antonio Brown. Antonio Brown. Then he used to be a
football player. Anyway, he went and did a gofund me. Right,
(26:38):
he raised sixty thousand dollars for that man.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
She did sixty thousand dollars. Okay.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
This guy's from Augusta, Galgia. Augusta, Ga. Left him on
attended at the McDonald's. Chris Lewis, that's his name. So
Antonio NFL's you know, used to be former NFL player,
raised that sixty thousand dollars right for that father, because
you know, I was even thinking, man, that was that
(27:07):
was tough. They arrested him and you know, the mama
had to come pick up the kids, and you know,
glad the kids are okay, but he got arrested, right
Antonio Brown raised all that money for him, and I
was like, oh my.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
That is good. That is fabulous. But yeah, I put the.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Brakes on it because the manager confirmed that mister Lewis
came in on March twenty second and completed a job application.
She also advised he conducted an informal interview with him
on that date. When asked if mister Lewis would be
expecting a callback for a formal interview, she stated no.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
The report said.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
In addition, the manager provided video surveillance footage that reportedly
showed Lewis arriving at one twelve and leaving at one
thirty seven pm on March twenty second. So basically, authority
say the father who left those kids at the McDonald's unattended,
was not at a job interview. So now I'm wondering
(28:07):
what is Antonio Brown gonna do with the sixty thousand dollars?
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Is he gonna get them folks? They money back things
that make you say, hmm, all right, listen, we're gonna
take a break.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
We're gonna come back, and I'm gonna get some more
of your we up in here. And I don't have
any music for something that I'm gonna let you hear
in a moment.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Dang, I ain't got no music. I wasn't ready.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
You know.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
They say, if you stay ready, you ain't got to
get ready. Well, today I had to get ready, and
it's tough to get ready for, you know, to.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Work from home.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
When you uh, you know, there's one good thing about
working from home, y'all know what it is. As long
as I don't have to be on the computer. You
can wear what you want, you know what I'm saying.
You can be in the crib, you can well what
you're like. You're gonna have your hair whatever way you
wanted to, you know, want to have. Even though my
(29:04):
hair is so fresh and so clean, clean, it looks good.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
But y'all can't see it. And I'm not going live.
Uh huh. I ain't doing all of that, not today.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
If I have to go live, if I have to
work from home tomorrow, maybe, but not today.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
But anyway, let me get back to Antonio Brown.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Mm hmmmm.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
So I was telling you guys, Mom want to go
about about the father, right the father?
Speaker 2 (29:36):
And let me see Sheila. I know this is Stephanie Lee.
Hey girl.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Stephanie says she's got flooding in her area and in
her backyard. Oh my goodness, Stephanie, there's a lot of water.
I hope you're gonna be okay. That's a lot of water.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Wow. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Verna told me too that right now the power is
out in her area. Let me see white Haven near
Southland Mall.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Oh my, let me.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Let me. Let me check on my cousin Bobby. Verna,
do you know my cousin Bobby, if you would go
over to the house and check on her and see
if she's okay, lights are out?
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Mm hmmmm. Let me tell you something.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
My cousin Bobby is not okay if the cable ain't working.
I'm sorry, Bobby, you do I love you.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
She she had to make sure that we got got
to make sure that cable.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Is own, honey, So I got to check on her
because she's in that same area as uh as you Verna.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Yeah, bless you all hearts so hopefully.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
And the good thing about today is it's not cold,
it's not freezing cold, and it's not hot hot, So
those are the good things about today. So I'm glad
that everybody's okay, and y'all can check in, let me
know what's happening where you are, okay, And I'm gonna
get back to Antonio Brown because I won't let you
know the latest on the guy who left some kids
at that McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Okay, let's check in with his iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 9 (31:05):
You're coming in here real loud and clear across this water.
Who would have thought years ago that you can tap
this app and take da in it and everywhere. Yeah
a men, if it's something serious, have a good.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
One to all of my fans and all my couldn't stituents.
Good evening, Stay safe, John Moran, Angela Moran, or any
entertainer or athlete. They are not role models. They are
there to entertain us only they are not role models.
(31:46):
A role model is Mark Luther King.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
You don off this iHeart radio app. You know what
Jackson loves to do.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
He loves to anytime I say something, he loves to
come up behind me and be on the opposite side.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
Know that man is a role model. You know that
man is a role model.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
So I was just looking at Antonio Brown and his
response to that situation. Not just that situation, but Antonio
Brown shared a message to the people who donated to
the gofund me for Chris Lewis. After authorities say that
the father who left those children at the McDonald's unattended
was not at a job interview. He said, I know
he did, for a fact, attend a job interview after
(32:33):
leaving his kids, and I know that the family has
been homeless since November. Oh, he said, he's still working
with Chris. That's what he said. He said, still working,
Still trying to work out other details on the timeline story.
We'll keep in touch with updates. If you do want
you know, do not want to wait. You have the
(32:53):
option to refund your gofund me, your money on go
fund me.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
We'll have a better plan.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
And when I update later today, I do know people
need help out there, and he said he was happy
to help.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Blessings.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Yeah, so he said he was actually at That's what
Antonio Brown said.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Hmm, okay, And you know what, I hope he was.
I hope he was. I really do. I hope that
he was at a job interview today.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
So today has been one of those days.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
And I know y'all feel it too. It's four days.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
That we're going to be experiencing this kind of weather today, Friday, Saturday,
and then Sunday that the weather's going to be like this.
And I do want to tell you just in case
you didn't get the update in the three o'clock hour
or even I don't even know if I mentioned it.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
I didn't mention it last.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Hour, But Sister Struck because a lot of people were
planning to come to Sisters Stress, and we were planning
because we're really excited to see you guys. A Sister
strut has been postponed. We're gonna actually it's been rescheduled.
Rather so we rescheduled out of the abundance of caution
because we want you to, guys, to we want you
to be safe. We don't want you to be in
(34:16):
harms way, and yeah, we don't want you to be
in harms way. We want you to be all right,
So we definitely are rescheduling.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
I'm getting messages, y'all, so.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
They pop it up on my phone everywhere, on social
media everywhere, so I'm looking at the messages and trying
to talk to you at the same time. But at
any rate, we want we don't want you to be
in harms way. So the good news is for those
of you that wanted to register that didn't get a chance,
you still have a chance to get registered. We were
going to be out with the packet pickup today, we
couldn't do it. We couldn't do it because of the weather.
We didn't want to do that and put you guys
(34:52):
in harm's way. So at any rate, you know, we
we're rescheduling and that is going to be next week.
And you still have time to get registered for Sister Strut,
our eleventh annual Sister struct three k breast Cancer Walk,
powered by your mid South Chevy Dealers. And I'm curious,
email me or send me a message if you've been
to all of the Sister Struts, or let me know
(35:14):
how many Sister Struts you've been to, if you've ever
come to any of them, because you know, a lot
of folks are come and have come. And some folks
that were in line the other day they said they'd
come to all of the sister struts.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Uh Young August Hey Young August.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
She said the go fund me because the circumstances surrounding
the reasons the go fundme was started are said to
be untrue. Antonio should refund all of the money people
before people file a complaint asking for their money back.
There are protections in place for donors, and Antonio should
(35:50):
get ahead of this and refund the money if it
hasn't already been given to. The man continued prayers for
you all, Love you, Thank you for praying for us,
because Babee, we're swimming over here. We're swimming, but we're
getting better. I don't know if it's raining where you are,
(36:10):
but it's been coming, you know, kind of coming down
in some areas out there, and it's like a stop
and go kind of a thing. But we're gonna get
rained for the next four days. You guys, just just
FYI just be prepared for that, and I just hope
that you're going to be okay. It seems like everybody
that has checked in with me today right now you
are okay. I want you to go to ten seven
(36:31):
d WD I A too, and check out some of
the pictures that you know, people sent me. I did
post many of the pictures that I was sent and
so you guys can see how bad the flooding is,
because it's not pretty. It's not pretty at all. It's
it's it's a lot of water. But so far, so good,
(36:53):
So far, so good. And I think what I'm gonna
do too in a little bit, I'm gonna check in
with a police officer and find out if it's really
bad out there, and you know, if there's any warnings
or anything that you need to know, I will tell
you to keep the radio on so that you are
prepared for any anything that jumps off.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
You know, we don't tell y'all about it. We're gonna
give you updates and all that good stuff, and we do.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Have our news partner Fox thirteen sharing information with you
as well.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
But I was getting ready to say just.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
A moment ago, it's kind of hard to prepare for
something like this, especially when you have to you go
to work.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
I went to work, and I was at work. Left
for a second.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
I had to go back to work and get on
the air, and I didn't know I was going to
be sent home today, but my boss was like, no, no, y'all,
get on out of here, wrap it up and get home.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
And we did. We did.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
So.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Yeah, working from the house. I'm gonna give you a
little update on the way.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Gonna try to play some music for you, and I
might since y'all are at home and many of y'all
ain't going nowhere, you've got nothing to do, I'm gonna
see if I can get a classic TV throwback for
you too, Okay, y'all good with that?
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Y'all all right? Okay? Good?
Speaker 1 (38:07):
And you can still tap that iHeartRadio app and send
me a message.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Hey, we're back. I am stormy.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
It is stormy conversations on ten seven d WDA doing
it virtually, Lady.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
D You are right. Who would have thought?
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Who would have ever thought that I could work from home?
Gone of the days that they send me home and I.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Do whatever I want.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
I come to the house, and you know the first
thing to go, ladies, when you get home, you know
the first thing I am gonna say it but you know,
gone of the days I can just come up in
here and watch TV and put my feet up, I
gotta come straight to the office and get to work.
(39:00):
Oh It's not like that all the time, but today
I didn't want to be without you. Y'all got me spoiled, y'all.
Y'all have spoiled me. And you know, I think I
told y'all sometime last year, I've just I've fallen in
love with you, all of you, and I love hearing
from you, and I love talking to you. And because
of that, it's hard for me to come home and
(39:23):
do nothing. Because I was going to come home and
watch Abbot Elementary m Yeah, I wanted to see what
happened with April and I might watch that, you know,
after I get off. But yeah, that's what I wanted
to do. I wanted to come home and watch or
take a nap because last night I was up at one.
(39:46):
I think it was about one o'clock when I first
got that first message. And I don't it must have
been God. It must have been an angel tapping me
saying wake up, wake up, because I don't know why.
But I woke up, looked at my phone and right
when I looked at my phone, it said take shelter.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
I kid you, not.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Right when I looked at the phone, and then it
started going off. And that's I got to that closet. Man,
I got to that closet.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
Uh huh.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
I got off up under them clothes, all of them
clothes I've bought. I got up under them clothes. So
I said, I said, these clothes are gonna keep me safe.
I'd have been like that. Man if I had to fly,
I'd been flying in my own clothes, you know what
I'm saying, and I'd have been safe. And then I
heard them say. Andrew Humphries, he said, grab a blanket
(40:40):
and some pillows. And I did that too, And for
some reason, I grabbed my water. I don't know why.
I guess I was thinking i'd get I don't know.
I woke up this morning and I was like, where's
my water?
Speaker 2 (40:55):
It was in the closet. It was in the closet. Now,
this is.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Something I saw, and I know y'all probably saw it too.
And we'll get back to Antonio Brown in a second.
But so so we're watching, you know, getting updates, watching
Fox thirteen. Yesterday, y'all tell me if you saw this,
if you were watching Fox, because I was, and I
didn't hear exactly what happened they because we got this
(41:23):
seven second rule now that if somebody says a bad word,
you know it can you know, catch them. But it
did not catch this young man because they were live, Honey.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
The Fox thirteen.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
That young sister that was out at that shelter, bless
her heart, she might be scarred for life because she's
talking to a young man or talking to the people
in the shelter, right, you know, just trying to see
how they're doing, seeing if everybody is okay, you know,
like you do when you on TV, when you have
a job like that, you check on people. And so
(42:00):
she's checking on the people, right. She goes to this
one guy and she asked him how he was, you know,
how he was doing in the in the shelter. That
guy said, that white guy, he said, can I say,
can I blank her in the blank? And these are
(42:30):
words that you cannot say on TV or the radio.
And he said it so quick, and I was like,
because I knew Andrew Humphrey said something. They cut away
and Andrew Humphrey said something, and I was like, I
can't you they And I saw people talking about it
on social media, and I actually saw somebody who had
(42:52):
actually posted the video. I couldn't believe that people do
the craziest stuff.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Y'all. We were not in them days.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
He's like, we used to be where you interview somebody
on the on TV and they, you know, say something nice.
I mean, no, this this kid and somebody said on
social media they said, you know what, they he ought
to be arrested for that.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
He ought to be arrested for.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
That ought to be some sort of harassment, sexual harass
or something. And I don't know if that kid is
going to get you know, fined or anything, because it
was on TV too, so I know he was trying
to play and joke. And you at the shelter, trying
to save your life, but you might be going to jail.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
Sir, you might be going to jail. You don't say
something like that.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
Now.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
I couldn't from the video that I saw because I
wasn't watching. I was actually listening when it happened live.
I was listening, so I was wondering, like I said,
why Andrew Humphreyes did that? And then I went back
and watched the video, so I couldn't see if the
girl was black or white. But and a friend said
that was a black girl. She is probably works for
Fox thirteen. Y'all know that girl is scarred today. Can
you believe that they had to cut He going to jail.
(44:14):
He is going to jail. You can't do that to people.
You can't do that. You can't say that kind of
stuff on TV like that. You can't do that.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
That's a problem.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
So I'm sure we're going to be hearing more about
that in the coming days.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
Definitely. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
Ms Toshia says, maybe that man was at another interview
and not in one with the person that spoke out,
But Antonio is doing the right thing. She's not talking
about the guy from the Fox thirteen last night. She's
done about the Antonio Johnson. I mean Antonio Brown helping
mister the young man. I was just mentioning to you.
(44:59):
Guy said, maybe that man was at another interview and
not in one with a person that spoke out. But
Antonio is doing the right thing to tell people to
get a refund if they desire to keep from getting
in trouble with the GoFundMe owners. Jackson Jaw is a
role model to some people, okay, and an individual l
(45:23):
An individual can choose whoever they want to imitate last thing,
and just like young people look up at Jaw, Jaw
is likely influenced by somebody and he is imitating their lifestyle.
Think back to the last time that he was in
trouble for brandishing that gun. What type of music was
(45:43):
he listening to? It wasn't gospel or soul music. I
will she said what miss told? You said what she said,
and let's see here got a message a hilarious at
least you wasn't gonna be thirsty.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
I'm gonna be thirsty.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
But somebody messaged about the whole Antonio thing. I'm gonna
let you hear what they said on the iHeartRadio app Stormy.
I hope that that young man was going to another interview,
because if he wasn't he need to give every penny back.
You need to get that money back. I agree with Ms. Tosha,
(46:33):
but I also believe that some people could come back
later on and say that they were duped.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
They didn't know that Antonio. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
They'll be like, wow, we never got Antonio Brown's message.
You know what I'm saying, even though you know he
put it out there, he made the gofund me. There's
some people that don't see social media, so they may
not even know that he said you can get your
money back. So those people would be the problem if
I would I straighten it all out first. But it
(47:04):
Antonio Brown got some money, he has some coins, He
got some coins.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Get him, folks, get him people. They six thousand dollars
back and start over. What's that song? Starting all over again?
It's gonna be tough. We're gonna make it. You'll be
all right, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
And if he really cares about that young man, it
might be best to give everybody their money back and then,
you know, start all over again.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
Find out the.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
Truth, because nobody wants to be duped in this society.
Nobody wants it. We don't want it, y'all know we don't.
We don't want it. None of us want to be duped.
So hopefully that's gonna work out for everybody's good. You
(47:51):
know what I'm saying, because yes, it's one of those situations, y'all.
Jackson with another message, which my radio was going on
and out or in and out. All I heard you
say is that you came out. All I heard you
(48:13):
say was that you came out of the closet.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
See see see that's why see see h.
Speaker 1 (48:25):
Yeah, it was a bus and it probably was a
tiny one and a short one that Jackson wrote to
school on. I had to do it. I had to
(48:45):
do it because you came for me. Don't come for me, Jackson,
unless I send for you. And I didn't send for you.
Speaker 2 (48:52):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
And y'all, I hate to tell you this, but I
ain't got no classic TV throwback.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
I ain't gonna be able to do it today.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
I would if I were in the studio, it would
be easier for me, But because I'm at home, in
my home studio, it's a little harder for me to,
you know, do a classic TV throwback for you. And
you have my sincere Miss Linda, Miss Freddie, Miss am Irma, Carolyn,
Sharon Ms, my Nestor, Clyde, Jackson, Calm a Man, James, Jamie, all.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
Of you that call in.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
I apologize. Stephen Sidney, Stephen his lovely wife. I ain't
do it today, Captain Black Conservative, I can't do it today.
And it's yeah, it's because I'm at the crib and
like I said, I wasn't prepared to come home to
(49:57):
go to work.
Speaker 2 (49:58):
I was nervous. I was nervous. I'm not a kid,
you not.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
After I drove through that water that looked like some
of that water. Go look at those pictures ten seven
d WDA on our Facebook page. And I'm not gonna
even share the video of that young man and the
words that he said on Fox thirteen last night, but
it is on social media. Let me just say that
that man they're gonna get in trouble. Where is that video?
Speaker 2 (50:25):
I can't find it.
Speaker 1 (50:27):
The video that you're speaking about that happened at the
shelter last night. You know what I'm gonna do. I'm
gonna send that to you via Facebook. I'll share it
with you that way.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
But I'm not.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
Yeah, are not getting me in no trouble. Tell Jackson,
don't start nothing, and it won't be nothing. I know
that's right, I know that's right. Yeah, don't do it, Jackson.
You know what I did want to do some I
saw something on Tisha Campbell did with her son, and
(51:09):
I can't remember all of them.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
And I did this.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
I spoke at an event about a month ago now,
and I did this at that event. And I want
y'all to give me the answers. Text me or send
me a message on Facebook. You know this is how
you did? You know you black? If you know of
the response to what I'm abouts to say. Okay, First one,
(51:38):
don't start none, finish it? What's the rest? Don't start none?
M what's the rest? Second one? Black people, you get
invited to a cookout or something like that, what's the
(52:01):
first question you're gonna ask? First question you ask when
you get invited to a cookout? And this is so true,
Invite me somewhere and see, don't I say it?
Speaker 2 (52:16):
What do you say? Call and repeat? God is good?
What's the rest?
Speaker 3 (52:26):
Y'all know what it is.
Speaker 2 (52:27):
Y'all know what it is. Y'all know what it is?
Speaker 1 (52:33):
Mm hmm something we do the things that we say
in our community when people say those things.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
First one, don't start none, y'all, y'all finished it.
Speaker 8 (52:47):
I heard you.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
I seemed like I could hear you through the radio.
Speaker 1 (52:51):
Second one, the first question you ask when you're invited
to a cookout?
