Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ten seventy A, y'all, do it all right? Can y'all
hear me? I think we're finally on the radio. Something's
going on over here, things that go bump in the night.
I'm telling you, this job right here ain't for the week.
It's not for the week, because, man, if you don't
(00:23):
know what to do in situations like this, you'll be
up in here looking at yourself calling people on the
phone like, uh, I'm there. We go. Yeah, shoot, we
own thank y'all, we own a something. Hey, something happened.
I thought I was talking to you. Evidently I wasn't.
But hello, everybody. It is April the eleventh. It is Friday,
(00:45):
day before Sister Strut. Sister Strut is tomorrow. Oh my goodness.
I'm looking forward to it. For those of you that
are registered, let me just say thank you and I
am looking forward to seeing you, guys. I'm looking forward
to seeing you. I cannot wait to see you tomorrow.
We're gonna have a really really really really really really
(01:08):
really really good time. Do I say really enough, because
it's gonna be like that.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
M h.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
It is Happy Friday, everybody. A lot going on in
this world that we live in. A whole lot. Y'all
already know. Did nobody tell me? Didn't nobody tell me?
I had to read it for myself. Crown Entertainment and Banquet,
the owner of that business, told our news partner Fox
(01:36):
thirteen that he's owned that building for the past eight
years and that it serves as a meeting place for
a motorcycle club. He also said that he believes only
that that fire was not an accident. A fire. Can
you believe it? This lady talked to Fox thirteen about it. Yeah,
(01:56):
I'm falling at Joe last night. I'm somebody. I didn't
even had no clothes sitting in the partying last night. Yeah,
and we left at two o'clock now here it is
at five o'clock in the morning. My club burnt down.
Oh Diddy, old Diddy, you don't don't mess up a
good time. Yeah, they messed up a good time. It
burned down. Yeah, and uh yeah. You hate to hear
(02:19):
that kind of stuff, you really do, because hopefully it's
not arson. But if it is, I'm I'll tell you something.
We got some good five fighters and detectives around here. Baby,
they gonna get to the bottom of it. They're gonna
get to the bottom of that. They are, they are
m John Moran told us why he does the He
(02:41):
doesn't do the guns in the most y'all. Yeah, yeah,
the NBA find him a seventy five thousand, even though
other people were doing it, other players were doing it.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
He was.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Now, he throws the something in the air looks maybe
it's I don't know, maybe I don't know whatever it is.
It seems like it blows up because he does that
blow up with his hands. He said, I'm throwing my
words out there. I'm throwing my words and then you
know when I'm blocking out the noise. That's what he's
got to do. And he's got to stay focused because
they lost pretty bad last night. Man, I thought they
(03:09):
were gonna pull that home, especially since they were at home.
But the Grizzlies are playing Denver on tonight. Hopefully, hopefully
they're gonna bring it home. Hopefully they're gonna bring it home.
M mm mm hmmm. I do want to talk about
I heard the interview this morning. I'm sure you guys
heard the interview this morning on the Standbil Morning Show
with Justin J. Pearson. Do you want to get into
(03:31):
that A little bit today. But before I get into
any of that, I won't do this. Mm hmm. It's Friday. Yeah,
the Day of Love is Friday. It's all about love
(03:55):
Tomorrow at Sister Strut. Y'all already know y'all gonna be there.
I already know some of y'all go you then that's
a cure for want, Okay. So yeah, it's all about love.
A lot of people are in love right about now. Yeah,
And don't don't get mad at people that are in
love because you not in love. Don't be that friend,
(04:18):
because you know you got friends, you got people that
you they find out you in love, they not happy.
So they don't want you to be happy. You know
what I'm saying. They're not happy at all. It found
out you in love. That's what you're saying. You saved it.
(04:41):
I don't want it. If it's a cure, I don't
want it. So then they want to come rain on
your parade. Mm hmm. Don't do it. Don't be that
kind of friend. Don't be that person today. If that
is you and you've been doing that to somebody, stop it,
stop it, stop it, all right? My question, Because it's
a day of love and we don't get to the
(05:02):
other things too. She's been with this man a long time.
They're in love. Matter of fact, they're married. They've been
together for thirty years. Long time. That's a long time,
isn't it been together? They love each other, love each other.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Well.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Back in the day, she dated this man that you know,
she had feelings for. You know, he was once somebody
that was in her life. He was special, but he
ain't nothing like the man she's with now. She's in love.
She went to a school reunion and there he was
(05:47):
still tall, dark and fine. Okay. She goes up to
talk to him. Her this was an event that they
went to. The husband wasn't there. She goes up to
talk to him, and you know, they talk. You know,
she's thinking, oh, this is just innocent, no nothing going on.
You know, she's just you know how it is when
you have, you know, you tied to this person, and
(06:08):
you know, you know, you're just y'all just talking, you know,
because she can, you know, her and husband trust each other.
You know, she she's having a conversation with this man
and uh, then you know things are over. She's been
talking to her friends and everybody been talking to him,
you know, and all that everything's over, She's getting ready
to leave. He he says, hey, how about to walk
you to your car?
Speaker 3 (06:27):
You know.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
He walks her to the car and he goes in
for a kiss. She says, she backed up some terrible
and said, I ah, uh uh uh uh, this ain't
that And all I got to say about how you
say that? All I got to say about? Uh, this
is what I got to say about that. I know
(06:50):
I'm not saying it right anyway. Uh, She's no, sir, okay,
you just going back inside. I'm finna go. So now
she's wondering, do I say something to to my husband
about this? She knows he's gonna be upset? Does she
keep it to herself? Let's talk? Let's talk. Let's talk,
(07:16):
y'all know the number nine O one five three five
nine three four two eight hundred five zero three nine
three four two eight three three five three five ninety
three four two. Let's get to the phones. See what
you guys are talking about on this beautiful friya WD
I A hello, all right, what's goods?
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (07:33):
What's going on? Cr? How you doing everything good?
Speaker 2 (07:36):
How about you?
Speaker 1 (07:37):
I'm doing good? Doing good?
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, listen.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Yeah, if I was her, I'd advise her to say
something to a husband. And the reason why is because
you know, nowadays, you got cameras everywhere, everybody watching, everybody's looking,
and you just don't want no nothing to come back.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
You know what I'm saying, misconscrew girt, Man, I saw
I saw your old lady. She was at three. Oh yeah, man,
for what I saw.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Dude, they didn't kiss, but that's how somebody else saw.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
You know what.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
I just just keep everything on the up and up.
Now he may be upset, but come on, now, he
gonna understand.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
That's what men do. ME an, gonna try try the witness,
They get away with it. But yeah, I'll say, so
you think.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
A man understand, You think he'll be okay. I don't
think he's gonna get okay.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
You don't think it's gonna be okay?
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Well, well, I mean, come on, how would you feel
if somebody tried to go in on the kiss on
your your you know, somebody you love, you know what
I'm saying. You know, and you at a school reunion,
you know what I'm saying, and the person is there,
and you could say something to him, you know, and shoot,
I don't know. I don't know if if it was
me and if it was my man and somebody went it.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Mmm, she started all that type of Stuf's why today, well,
actually yesterday was they officially gave.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Up on relationship.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
What seous say, it ain't so yes, ma'am stolen away,
I'm made.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
I'm not relationship with tyry. I'm just not what I'm
not storing.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
You know they say what they call it, the only
child saying girl.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Yeah, and then I don't believe much in astrology, but
what they say about capricorns is we love to be byself.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
We like that solitude. And that's true. I love it.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
And see, you got to compromise a relationship A lot
of times.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
I don't like to compromise my time.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I just don't well see it. Then this might be
a really good setup for your comeback. Let me tell
you why. Because they say when you stop thinking about
it and you don't think about relationships, you get to
that place where you said, I'm put it on my mind,
I'm moving on thinking about That's when it happens.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
I heard that. I've heard that. M h.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Yeah, it might be your season sir see, and I
hate you feel like that, I really do, because but.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
It has just that he's a storm.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
I got to the lease, tru storm.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
What's done?
Speaker 3 (10:09):
I got to delease. It's called the Marcus Grand disease.
Oh you heard that? No, Okay, before I tell you
what it is, I'm gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
It's a bit immature.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
It's a little uh uh what they call it, uh superficial.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
But it's the truth is it's a real thing. You
remember that movie Boomerang.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
Uh, Eddie Murchan's character, Marcus Graham.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
What was the thing he.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Did after him and Laila Rashad finished Rabbit Dan, I
forgot tell me he pulled those covers up to look
at those feet and he.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Couldn't do it. Stormy.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
I'm not saying you gotta add pretty, but man, you
can't have feet looking like.
Speaker 6 (10:57):
You play Hopscotch Baron but all your life.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
I can't do it.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
I know you ain't gonna date Britney Spears. Then she
posted toes the other day. I'm like, babbe, oh see her,
Oh bless your heart. He's a footman.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Y'all.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Well, I wish you the best, Okay, all right, all right,
bye bye. It's some pretty feet out there waiting for
him somewhere. Mm hmmmm. Marcus, Lord of Mercy, w d
I a hello, A storm man, Clyde. I can't call him.
What's going on with you? I'm just like your boy.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
That's the first thing.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I look at the seat, because that's the first thing
in the tube.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
And the last thing out.
Speaker 7 (11:46):
And if they tore up from the floor, the rest
of the body is too.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Storm.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
No, she shouldn't. She shouldn't tell her husband nothing because
she ain't do nothing.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
She shouldn't tell her I ain't and she.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Ain't do nothing.
Speaker 8 (12:02):
He walked into the car he thought he still had.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
He tried to get the kids in, and she shut
him down.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Yeah, so she didn't do nothing wrong. She had no business.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
So, no, you ain't gonna gonna tell your hundred back
because you didn't do nothing. M m no.
Speaker 7 (12:21):
No, sometimes you look back on and be back on one.
He opened up a can of worms. But telling her
something that didn't nothing happen.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Mm hmm. See, and I listened to Jason Pears and
today you.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
Know, and I still say, I mean the way.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
I look at it.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
He didn't know about it, but they put they let
all this him move in the black neighborhood.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
So that lets me know what the leaders of the
city think.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
About the black area of town.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Because I looked.
Speaker 7 (12:58):
Build like Atlanta, I was said, no, no, I won't want
it him.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Hm, the like California.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
I said, no, we don't want that.
Speaker 7 (13:04):
Him because you already have seen a lot of these
black neighborhoods and went through with the chemical plants and stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Hmm.
Speaker 7 (13:13):
And like I said, and like I said, we got
all these black leaders and they kept it hush hushe storming.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
It's like a secret.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
And then it got out.
Speaker 7 (13:25):
And I don't know why they're having all these meeting
storm because they ain't gonna stop done have any meeting
because hey, he uh.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
He must already here, already here.
Speaker 6 (13:33):
You can stop having Yeah, must already here.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
You can stop having them me he ain't going nowhere.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
And let me clarify something since you brought that up,
because I really wasn't ready to talk about it right now.
But yesterday when we were talking about it, and I
don't know if I was talking to you, clydeor who
it was I was talking to. And I misspoke when
I said, uh, last year when uh the when Elon
Musk's business started, that Strickland was an office, that that
Young was not an office. He was in office last year.
(14:02):
He's been in office? What a year? And what is it?
Four months or so like that? So he was in office,
by the way. And then I saw uh an article
where the New York Times talked to Mayor Paul Young
and this was this was I believe it was last year.
(14:23):
I'm looking at the date on this, but at any rate,
he said, Memphis is a city of innovators, so it's
no surprise that it feels like home to those looking
to change the world. That was Mayor Paul Young said
in announcing the deal. He said, we get things done.
Speaker 9 (14:42):
Okay, and the little joke, but you didn't. You didn't
You didn't talk to the people, so so.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
You didn't think that you didn't are you what are
you saying? Are you saying you didn't buy the interview
with Justin J. Pearson or you don't think anything? What
are you saying.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Now I'm saying, is they kip of the secret?
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Him?
Speaker 9 (15:06):
Hm?
Speaker 5 (15:06):
That's the way I looked at it, like he didn't
know who.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Didn't know Justin J. Pearson or or mayor Young justin person.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
You know Mary Young though you already know.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yeah, I just read that.
Speaker 7 (15:16):
Yeah, he definitely you already you already know he knows
because I told you, you know who.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Who run that?
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Who runause? This is what the article says. This is
what the New York Times article says. It says. Over
three weeks in the spring, the Greater Memphis Chamber and
local politicians secured a deal for Xai to move into
a former Electrolux appliance plan, seeing it as a potential
economic stimulus. The pace of Xai's move into Memphis reflects
(15:42):
the intensifying race by technology companies to bring more data
centers and artificial intelligence facilities online. The industry is leading
a surge in electricity demand that is expected to continue
for decades. So I'm kind of I'm kind of agreeing
with you, Clyde. I don't think that Justin J. Pearson
(16:05):
was privy to those.
Speaker 7 (16:05):
Conversas for me listening them on stand So I feel
deep in my heart he didn't know about it, because
he said one thing that caught my attend. He said,
all of these black leaders, we got here and nobody
let the people know up front.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Take care start all right, Clyde, thank you so much. Man.
It's uh looking at another story, uh that I may
bring up to you, uh as well. But this is
interesting because I did hear the conversation this morning, and man,
it may be nervous. Uh.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
You know.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
As a matter of fact, I'm gonna play a little
bit because Meredith called in and she mentioned that I
talked to Shelby County Health Department director or not. I
didn't talk to her, but I that I, you know,
talked about the fact that she wrote a letter to
Mayor Paul Young. And this is what Representative Pearson said
(17:02):
to Meredith. Well, hang on, hang go, here we go.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
We've got two mayors, and I'm not letting Mayor ly
Harris off the hook here at all, because Director Taylor
works for the people, but her immediate boss and manager
is Mayor Lee Harris, and he hasn't said a single
thing against this project. And we need Mayor Harris to
do something, and we need Director Taylor to use their
power now. In addition to Mayor Young, I saw that
(17:29):
letter too, and I was just shocked that mayorly Harris's
name wasn't on it because does he not also have
the power to help write ordinances to be passed through
the County Commission.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
And if you pass something through the Uniform Development Code,
you have.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
To go through the County Commission and the City Council,
and that's Mayor Harris and Paul Young. And so I
was very confused aus why she left Lee Harris off
of that letter. But I respect her immensely, but she
isn't doing enough and it's time for us to fight back.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
But how and I respect the fact that he's saying
that he's calling names. You know what I'm saying, callege out, okay,
But how does he know that she's not doing enough
and isn't enough giving a letter or going to the
council and having this conversation. Because as far as I know, y'all,
somebody correct me if I'm wrong, this was a City
(18:15):
of Memphis issue. So Mayor Harris wouldn't have anything to
do with that. I mean, I know that as far
as emissions and pollution and all that that has, Shelby
County Health Department would be involved. But the decision when
the New York Times people talk to Mayor Young, there
wasn't a conversation with Shelby County or Mayor Harris. That
conversation was only with Greater Memphis and Mayor Young. That's
(18:39):
according to the to the to what I just read you.
So why would why wouldn't she be doing enough? And
when you say things like that, and I'm not you know, hey,
he's calling names, I get it and I feel it
when you say things like that, do you put her
in danger? Because if you say that she's not doing
(19:02):
enough and she is, evidently she's doing something because she
did go before the count she did have the conversation,
she did write a letter and all of that. Do
we even think about how that could put her in
harm's way or could it put her in harms way? Hey,
I don't know, but you heard the conversation this morning.
I applaud Justin for the fact that he's bold and
(19:25):
that you know, he is in the fight because somebody
needs to be in the fight when it comes to this,
because we really don't know what's going on. We don't know,
but but I just I just it makes me careful.
It makes me want to be careful for people that
might that those kinds of things might put in harm's way.
(19:50):
Let me go to these phones. W D I A hello.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Number one in the house.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
Are you doing number one?
Speaker 1 (19:56):
I'm doing good on this friyay, what's up?
Speaker 6 (20:00):
And this man on the top shelf and joined a
beautiful woman love and every peak something lay Jesus Christ.
I love it. I love it, I love it. Saw
me that's always got up and into music college con
uh saw me. Let me say this, uh to your
question asked about the young lady who was at this
(20:20):
school reunion. First of all, welcome your husband and go
with you. I'm asking that question first of all. So
if if that was my wife, she going to a
class reunion, I'm going with it.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
He was there, but he just wasn't at that particular event.
Speaker 6 (20:34):
Okay, he was what he was, he was the housband
was there.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
He went to the reunion with her, but he was
not at that particular event that she went to.
Speaker 6 (20:46):
Okay, he was at the event, but not that particular event.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Yes, he was at the reunion. You know, how do
you go to a reunion. You have different events for
your reunion. If it's a weekend long, there's different events. Well,
this particular event, he wasn't he wasn't present at and
she was uh there with classmates and all that good stuff.
Speaker 6 (21:05):
But okay, the question is if they were both there,
but he was in some part of on the section
of the building, that's what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
No, he wasn't at that building period. She was there
at this particular event in this place by herself.
Speaker 6 (21:19):
Okay, that's what I'm saying. So why come she couldn't
invite her husband and go with her, That's what I'm asking.
Unless I'm getting it all wrong.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Well, he was at the reunion, but he was doing
another event while she was doing that one.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
Yeah, they did. But if the case for me, she
could have called her husband I'm doing walk go to
the car. He should have been over there walking up
to the car. Not some ex boar friends back in
the day.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
She messed that up.
Speaker 6 (21:44):
She messed up all the way. But I see this,
don't go, don't go. Don't go open up like like
Clyde said a moment ago, and open up a can
of words that you don't have to because sometimes it's
just definitely well enough alone. You heard that song before,
What do.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
You mean by that? If she didn't she didn't open
it up she just he just walked into a car.
So you're saying he shouldn't have walked up. She shouldn't
have let him walk her to the car. Period.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
No, she couldn't called She could have called her host. Okay, yeah,
she could have called it. Baby, I'm getting ready to leave.
I say, okay, hold on, I'll be right there in
the second, and I walk into the car. But the fact, MacCAM,
they didn't even come there together in the same car.
That's what I'm trying to do out even though there
was a different events, but have been right there together,
you know, but a different events. He couldn't easily walk
(22:29):
into the car. No, I'm not gonna sit there go
for that. But like I said, she need to leave.
Well enough along been nothing that nothing comes from it.
But I tell people, know whatuch yourself in hars wait
and she tri being a woman, her spider sensor should
have kicked in right away.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
And said wait a minute.
Speaker 6 (22:49):
Honestly, her spider should this can seemed like he's in second. Yeah,
I didn't watch the movie. You watch the Marrow movie.
You know what I'm talking about talking about. So she
should have known instantly right in there this guy and
some kind of like it. He looked at her. She's
probably looking like man so good. So he was gonna
(23:11):
take that team. You know, people would do that stormy
in a hard get. They'll take a chance and and
see in a New York minute, man New York second,
that's doing like that. So he's she said, I'm gonna
try to see how far's going with a lot of
these people. Let's beard the story. They go to these
class reunit and see if they can story up.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
They go to hood up with people. That's what they do.
They try to be hooking up with people.
Speaker 6 (23:36):
And he's knew when he's girth and yeah, I'm I'm
gonna see if I can get this to a evening
and she hespo his plans and that was she like
I said, she should.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Have known better.
Speaker 6 (23:46):
I know if that had been mean, my wife should
have called me and said, okay, I'll be there a
split second. This whole your horses, I'm on my way
there to you. Now saw it to the guy who
called in to talk about he's giving up on you know,
love and all that. Yeah, now what I would agree
with him on this. I'm timpled to I have to
look at a woman not just her feet, but he
painted our entire body, but her feet would definitely. I'm
(24:10):
just lady from a lad out there jr. Feet has
a determination whether I go forward or not. I do
not like a woman with bad feet, a bad total
if they look jacked up, bunting your corn some time
for me, because I know you're not taking care of
your feet, so two nine times out of ten, you
ain't taking care of rest of your body.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
This is what I hate.
Speaker 6 (24:30):
This is what I hate me.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
And I see this all the time.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
I see women, specially here, especially here in Niles. They
have take all that money and get their hair whipped up,
but won't do a garantee to get their body and shit, wow, I.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Hear you, Prince childs Listen, I gotta run, got to
catch these commercials. But we're gonna come back and talk
some more. Not on one five three five nine three
four two eight hundred five zero three nine three four
two eight three three five three five nine three four two,
and I will definitely uh take your email Stormy Tea
at my wd dot com and you can tap that app.
I got some emails already. I'm coming back to get those,
(25:05):
but I also have Gaale, Kevin, Miss Lily, Mister Norman,
Lady D, Lady P, Lady D, and Lady P. Y'all,
oh uh oh, it's about to go down, y'all. Keep
that radio on ten to seven. Dad, I as you
got this weekend and next weekend it's Easter. I just
won't let y'all know because some of y'all you don't
(25:27):
believe in shopping in stores anymore. You don't believe it.
You order it online. And honey, if your Easter dress
or suit is ordered online and you don't get it
before Easter, what you're gonna do? You know, you going
to church, you just gonna have to wear some old.
And I know some of y'all you don't wanna wear
(25:49):
nothing old because you know they're gonna take pictures at
the church. And if you got on the same dress
this year that you on yet last year, or two
years ago or three, you know that's gonna be a problem.
I don't know if y'allould like me, but when I
was a kid, we got new Easter addresses every year,
(26:14):
so I know it's important. So I'm just trying to
let you know if you plan to order something for
Easter you're not going in the store. You better do
that now. You better do it now. And you know what,
I let me say this. I know when it comes
to public jobs, you know, they always say, if you
(26:35):
can't take the heat, you're gonna have to get out
the kitchen. We were just talking about that the other
day when it comes to politicians. But I do understand
too that, you know, uh, I'm I'm I do my
best to try to. I do my best.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Now.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
That's why I ask some of y'all to call in,
and I rely on people that I know too to
help help me with the facts about you know, a
lot of things when it comes to certain things. That's
why I went back to see what was the whole
x Ai and you know, and the whole story in
the New York Times, because I wanted to see, you know,
how how did this thing come about? You know what
I'm saying, I'm not perfect. None of us are. I'm
(27:14):
not saying that Justin Pearson is perfect. We know that
he's not. I'm sure he knows that doctor Taylor ain't perfect.
Mayor young Mayor had none of us we know Elon Muskper, no,
do we you know that man ain't perfect. Yeah, so
(27:35):
I do think we just have to be careful, you know,
with the things that we say. Now, I said that,
and I'm done. That's all I got to say about that.
Maybe not, But anyway, if y'all want to help my
girl out, does she tell him? What does she do?
(28:00):
At the reunion? Went to an event that her husband
wasn't that you went to the reunion with her. Prince
Charles wasn't. At this particular event, she got walked out
by X Love. We tried to come in for a kids.
She said, uh, huh are you bagging on up, sir?
(28:21):
Not me? Not today you got the wrong one. Does
she tell her husband? Let me go back to the phones,
talk to y'all. W d I a hello? Call it
you there?
Speaker 10 (28:35):
Hey, Hey Storming, Hey.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Gail Jones doing sister?
Speaker 10 (28:41):
You know, I normally just text you. I had a
call in today when you saw about.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
The class reunion.
Speaker 10 (28:47):
So I went to Hammerton High School d the high
school in Mithsis. So every year, well, well, on our
class reunions we have they bent. We have a reception
on Friday night and that's where just the class may
show up. And then on Saturday we have our memorial
(29:08):
service events that night the gay Land. Then Friday may
be the service or anyway, but that Friday night is
what get everybody in trouble. A lot of folks in trouble,
I'll tell you, because they don't want to take they
don't want to take their spouse.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Oh, I'm gonna just get.
Speaker 10 (29:25):
Receptions just for the classmates. So when our last big
thing we had, we had a vote to let folks
bring their spouses because when a lot of those folks
they have to live with their spouses when they when
this class is over, and so they be cutting now
some of them. I ain't saying everybody now, some of
them cut up that Friday night because some people start
(29:47):
thinking about back to high school and all of that stuff.
So the last time when we did every union that
we had, made sure the spouses or significant others could
come to and host.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
For some people would be.
Speaker 10 (29:58):
All right, But I just tell you about our class.
Speaker 6 (30:01):
Our class love.
Speaker 10 (30:02):
You tell I'm gonna tell you a last story about
iron class.
Speaker 6 (30:07):
I'm gonna tell you supposed to hit.
Speaker 10 (30:08):
It up with divorces and everybody.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
So I'm just telling you.
Speaker 10 (30:12):
It's just safer to make sure your spineful significant other
with you had every at all events.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Wow, So you're telling me and Hamilton High School, Home
of the Wildcast that y'all that the reunions.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
I'm just gonna tell you about my class.
Speaker 10 (30:26):
I can't tell you about all the mother classes, but
I'm gonna tell you about man our class, our class.
Speaker 6 (30:32):
We love each other, that's all.
Speaker 10 (30:33):
I'm yes, ma'am.
Speaker 5 (30:38):
We do.
Speaker 10 (30:39):
We love my class.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Oh my goodness, Wow, yes, ma'am.
Speaker 11 (30:43):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
I can tell you some more stories when we ain't.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
On the ass, I call, I call your lady.
Speaker 10 (30:51):
So when you were saying different events, and we have
events from Friday and Sunday, and so the only event
just foused was not uh to his last one Friday night,
the offening reception just the classmates. But I mean we
kind of cut that out, thank goodness.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
So so this woman could be one of your classmates.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
You are you're well, yeah, I don't know that.
Speaker 10 (31:20):
You gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Let me hush, now what happened after he walked to
the car. Let me hush. Now that's enough, girl, You
got enough out of me. Oh.
Speaker 10 (31:35):
I just wanted to let you know, I toe the
guy that was on here before he was.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
He was right, you have to be careful about.
Speaker 10 (31:41):
Some time them old fellers some day, yes, ma'am, they do.
Speaker 5 (31:47):
I I'm telling you from experience.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
I ain't telling you what I heard.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
I'm telling you from experience. All right now, thank you,
bye bye. Oh my goodness, y'all be getting in trouble. Lady,
d how you doing? Told the kids what I'm doing?
Speaker 3 (32:07):
Good God?
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Number one, if you just give a walk to the car,
she said, he asked for a kiss, see it he
went in for He went in for a kiss. He
didn't ask, he went in but and she bagged up
to me, what right there? It ain't no need to
(32:33):
go tell your husband for lessen you telling? Do you
not know?
Speaker 6 (32:38):
It's been forty.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Years, And said, wanted to give me a kiss. If
you telling but the husband, he would probably be glad.
If even if it's night, he walked up to the car.
The husband some one available. It wasn't fable.
Speaker 6 (33:00):
See people sweat too much small stuff.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Just like I said me, slow this boy, try to
give me a kiss. We was high school, sweet heart.
It's nothing there, it's nothing. And then like you said
it love. I was in love with JT. When I
first met him.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Real in love.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
And you know why, thecause he showed me that he
loved me. I don't want you know every day I
love you, because see you find somebody in your face
every day talking me he loves you. You better watch
that joker. You better keep a close eye on him,
(33:45):
because love almost saved againstow on me the show love once.
I look when I flipped the light switch and them
lights come on. I know JT loves me. And if
ain't nobody knocking on my door, then to set me out.
(34:06):
And I'm in the house now. If I'm not in
the house with JT or whatever it's name, I'm not
looking for you to keep no roof over my head
because I got a roof and you got a room.
But if you want new to take your last name, hey,
you gonna have to leave. You gonna have to leave
the able storm to pay two bills. And that that's
(34:31):
keeping a roof on my head. That's not asking for much.
And you must make sure I got I wanna. I
don't care what year it is. If I leave Memphis
head and the news, I won't car and get that back.
If you got me in a scuffle up and I'm
(34:54):
sitting on side of the rock. That's the deal breaker.
That's the deal breaker.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
If you ca I ain't hold up to them three things.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
And see these men we I want you to bring
hands to the table. It never wear an equal up
because we got many heads.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
And we never pull them off.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
You do.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
You get over there, kick your fizza up, sit in
the remote and see her. I would laughing. I look,
I love. I said, well, I thought we all had class.
Now if you got a wobber, you.
Speaker 6 (35:28):
See we got we think different from them.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Store me.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
If you got a warmer and she spent all her
money on her hair and her feet look like crack
of the eye, get that simple. You go in your
pockets and you say come back. I know that's right,
lady D. I know that's right.
Speaker 8 (35:48):
Listen.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
I got a run, Lady D. But you showed you
sid something. If you want to feat the look good,
you paid for it. Thank you, lady D. I got
an email here from ms coacher. Let me see, she says,
happy fryst or me. That's the Elon must effect with
the radio station. My phone has been acting weird too.
I'm just saying, lol, uh, let's see, you know prince
(36:09):
took the short. Uh, I'm not gonna read. I'm not
African consultants. You stopped at now bad email. I have
dated women with bad feet. There's something called shoes and sneakers. Duh, yeah,
that's what he says. Unlet's see here. Got another email,
Miss Towns, Hey girl, She says, this is time your caller,
(36:34):
uh seer, tell him we can be friends. I agree
with him. I enjoy my peace and time. I'm single,
have my own and no drama talk that dog. Okay,
sah siahm. That was for you. Mister Pat says, hello, Stormy,
(36:55):
just one question? Does she tell her husband?
Speaker 3 (37:00):
I might do you?
Speaker 5 (37:01):
I might.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Let's see here, I got another email here Gale the
caller and Lady P twins lo o l Gale and
Lady P. You think they're twins? Well, I don't know
about that. Let me see here. W D I A hello, Hey, hey,
how you doing?
Speaker 6 (37:20):
What's going on with your Storman? Got interested?
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Interested?
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Top? It's two things.
Speaker 5 (37:25):
I just want to miss a person.
Speaker 6 (37:26):
About that class reunion.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
Huh.
Speaker 6 (37:29):
We have our carb High School Class A three.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Come on here, we do our reunion.
Speaker 6 (37:33):
We do our reunion on Friday nights classmates only.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
And then Saturday we do a picnic and then you know,
we invite the family and then that Sunday we go
to church and we have our banks.
Speaker 6 (37:45):
So I mean, as as far as I know, never
had no issues with the Friday night. Then we've been
and I've been doing We've been on.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
This class reunion commited for open but at least I've
done three or four of them. So we've always had
the classmate owners for Friday. So not saying something happened
after I leave, but uh, you know, it's it's it's
I know, I go home by I go home to
my wife, I I go on to speak for me.
Speaker 6 (38:10):
But uh, but with that incident, it nothing happened, storm man?
Speaker 3 (38:14):
What what what?
Speaker 2 (38:14):
What? What's thetad to tell nothing happened?
Speaker 5 (38:16):
Right?
Speaker 2 (38:17):
She lean in and she pulled back. You know, nothing happens.
So I mean, it's something.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Then you got to know who your mate is too,
so you know some of us, so some of them
know we got somebody that's alive.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Why so but you got you got to know your mate.
Speaker 6 (38:32):
And the thing about Justin J.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Pearson, I like the stuff that he was saying today
on standing this morning a storm.
Speaker 6 (38:40):
But I have a question is that when.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
All these other cities turned, uh turn that project down,
why did.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
Did Memphis actually look into to see.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Why there was other cities doing Because I'm just believing
that you know that they you know, they just want
to sell Memphis anything and we'll buy it. So I
i' sak we did a homework. I don't know, but
it looked like we didn't do the homework. And I
know they was talking about he was supposed to be
bring with four hundred, three hundred, four hundred jobs. Now
I'm gonna say this some matter on four hundred jobs,
(39:13):
I guarantee three hundred fifty're already take it because these
people are coming from elsewhere. They're not gonna actually it's
not gonna be four hundred empty slots to come here
to Menses.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
Well maybe that was the deal. Maybe that was part
of the deal, you know what I'm saying, when he
met with a greater MSIs chamber and the mayor, and
maybe that was part of the deal.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying, but I just don't
like the fact that we didn't do our homework on this.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
And by did day did they? I'm gonna tell you something.
Somebody told me. If this turns out to be a
good thing, they'll take the credit for it. If this
XAI turns out to be a bad thing, they're gonna
have to take the credit for that too.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (39:54):
I mean, it's just so much because I grew up
in there on Florida Street.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
My neighborhoods near that where that plan over there and
they closed down, and a lot of people in that area,
include my father uh has passed because of cancer.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
And that was one of the things that the firms
that was in.
Speaker 6 (40:10):
There is a lot of people around the area.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
In South Memphis that have gotten counseled in it and
in that area where but it's closed down. The sterilization
I heard justin Peerson mentioned that today. So I'm just
saying that, you know, we take these if they did
their homework, it's it's.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
It's bad on their part that we allow on this.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
But when he mentioned that, the other cities turned it
turned that deer down and that was the reason, Stormy,
So are we just taking just so we can Well,
you know, let me.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
Say this before I forget while you're on the phone,
I will say. I heard him say, well, why didn't
the other towns around us take x Ai. I heard
him say that, yes, uh, and and I would say
the reason why is because those other towns are not
off the Mississippi River. They had to be it had
to be a town off of the Mississippi. Okay, they
(41:02):
had to be off the river. Okay, because they needed
water to operate. Okay.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
And it's Electrolux was there doing whatever they were doing,
and then you know whoever else. So and you got
t VA out there, and word is they're using According
to Bobby White the Greater Memphis Chamber, he told me
they're using less water than the TV t V A
and I think he said they got less turbines, uh
(41:27):
than the TV. Now if I'm not mistaken, so so.
But but still, if there are gas turbines that are here, uh,
that's a question, you know, that's that's an issue. Rather
and if there are other ones they're trying to put
here there, that's an issue. And anyway, the door. There
were other things that I learned today too, But go ahead, Kevin,
(41:49):
I mean, well, yeah, thank you, Kevin. I appreciate you.
Go ahead, and I get it.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (41:54):
I just want them to really look into it, because
I heard somebody mentioned saying they'll use them more turbine.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
Than what they had said they was going.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Yeah, and the end they're trying. There's there's talk of
more coming in as well. That's what I've heard as well.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Yeah, yeah, And I just I just don't want us
to be I don't know years ago what Memphis TUPI did.
I don't know if you remember shy slinking, Yeah, how
we got and it seemed like, well, you know what,
I just think of something to sell.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
Well, let me call Memphis bad. You know.
Speaker 5 (42:22):
It's just like like Mikey you know here, he likes it.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
He likes it.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
You know, that's the way I.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
Like Michael.
Speaker 5 (42:30):
But hopefully hopefully it will work out in the end
for the good.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
Yeah, for the thank you, Kevin, thank you. Hopefully will
work out for the good. But like I said, if
it were, if it don't, somebody gonna somebody gonna fall,
somebody gonna take the blame. And if it does, somebody
will take the credit. Mhmm, everybody, I am Stormy with
you Stormy Conversations on this radio on this April the
(42:55):

those of you that you might think some egg prices
are too high. Potatoes mm hmmm, that's.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
What they say.
Speaker 1 (43:08):
A lot of people are starting to use potatoes in
place of eggs. Kids don't know, no difference, They don't know.
They don't care. They just want something round. Unless they
like to eat eggs, you know, Uh, then yeah they'll know.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
Feef other way? Why do you bring up your friend

Speaker 1 (45:13):

Speaker 5 (45:19):
You know, we were talking and he said, I'm like

Speaker 10 (45:22):
I wonder what happened.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
You know, this is a whole new year.
Speaker 12 (45:44):
Life is so short now for me. I'm serious right now,
I have said some mean things. So you know, you

You know, a monk's just radio, you know. But nowadays,
you know you can have a change of heart.
Speaker 1 (45:56):

Speaker 10 (45:57):

He said, I've never seen before in my whole life.
He said, I got the wife and the girlfriend here together,

But she's always tell me when you're ready us and
you know, whatever you want to do, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 6 (47:30):
But but about one ready to get married?
Speaker 12 (47:32):
You know, so for whatever reason, you know, people get
married for what I don't you know what I mean,
but I know I'm ready.
Speaker 6 (47:38):
I'm gonna do it, you know, saying I've been.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
Married before I was eighteen years old.
Speaker 12 (47:42):
I'm young, you know, so I want to make sure
I'm ready, you know, to be married, because married that's
a big thing.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
I ain't no get married, nobody.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
Pause.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
I don't care how much money you got.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
You just something that you just don't do, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
And I may I may not never get married, you.
Speaker 6 (47:56):
Know, But I know I've been happy with everybody that
deal with.
Speaker 10 (48:00):
All my life, and I have really enjoyed life.
Speaker 12 (48:06):
And I'm still trying to draw my life. And I
so I'm gonna get off this right now. When I
started talking, I can't stop throwing sitting. I don't know
if I gave him, but you know what, I did.
Speaker 6 (48:16):
Have great weekends.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
What you're doing this weekend?
Speaker 6 (48:20):
Half think about me?
Speaker 10 (48:24):
Hey, think about me?
Speaker 1 (48:25):
You know what, Ladies, you.
Speaker 12 (48:26):
Want me to come out here and have father tell
me to laugh for y'all here.
Speaker 5 (48:30):
I needn't have to have good weekend here.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
You're welcome, Lady Pete. All right, Oh my goodness, that
laugh is contagious. And you know she brought up Denver,
Denver sent me this video and this is his daughter.
Y'all listen, I want you to listen real good at this.
Listen listen to this. You want to wash what? I all?
You like w d I and that's our favorite station.
(48:58):
That's Denver's daughter. You want to listen to w d
I A. I ate that the sweetest thing, the sweetest
are going to go back to these phones w d
I A.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
Hello, Hey, so so how you doing?
Speaker 1 (49:11):
Hey mister Norman, I'm good. How about you?
Speaker 5 (49:14):
I'm black tasted all right?
Speaker 2 (49:16):
Now?
Speaker 3 (49:18):
Hey, you know, I wanted to say I heard I
think it was common man who said I mentioned about
asked a question? Why do we still go to meetings?
Speaker 1 (49:27):
You know?
Speaker 3 (49:28):
The community meetings are very important, especially now.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
I don't think it was common.
Speaker 2 (49:33):
Maybe I'm maybe it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
I'm sorry, but whoever made that savement, I just want
to encourage them.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
We know that it's extremely important to go to these meetings.
Speaker 5 (49:42):
Whether we have the answers or not.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
We can go there and learn and ask questions and
find out either what we already know or that which
we don't know, but we're trying to seek our solutions,
and we can meet and talk with other people who
may have some solutions, may have some answers to what
we're dealing with.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
But I think it's a great idea.
Speaker 3 (50:01):
For us to meet as often as possible, as much
as we can, being that.
Speaker 2 (50:06):
We got so many other negative things going on.
Speaker 3 (50:09):
At least just give us the time to come together
and try to find our supplying solutions to solve our
problems in our communities and our homes and our schools
around the country. Because right now we're in a bad
situation in America. I believe black people especially and were
about to get voice on us.
Speaker 5 (50:27):
So I just want to encourage people.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
Man, when there's meetings, if you can make it, go
to the meeting, you know, don't let's not criticize or
tear down on the community meetings, especially when we have
people that's really trying. We often say that they are
preachers and politicians who ain't doing nothing, that won't do nothing.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
But when they have a meeting and we.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
Tear it down and criticize it because we don't want
to go or we don't go, then.
Speaker 5 (50:50):
How can we say that they're not trying.
Speaker 3 (50:52):
I mean, that's not fair at least if they're willing
to come and sit down and listen to us to
have a conversation or even allow us to address some
of the things that they have done right along.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
And we still willing to do it. I just believe
that we need to do that.
Speaker 3 (51:11):
We need to meet every opportunity we can. I try
to make every meeting that I possibly can, and trust me,
when I do, I learn a lot. I get a
lot of good information. Some information I'm already aware, so
I'm not But then I meet a lot of wonderful
people out there, and it just feels good. I don't
have to dodge bullets. I'm not worried about somebody breaking in.
Speaker 2 (51:33):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (51:33):
I'm just a meeting with good, honest people who are
seeking solutions for the problems we as black.
Speaker 5 (51:39):
People are experiencing. And that feels good to get out there.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
And meet with other people.
Speaker 3 (51:43):
It feels good to come together to try to find
solutions for the black problem, the community problems, you know,
especially where our education is concerned. And now we got
this incoming in May and create more pollution and cancer.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
So we need to have some conversations. Man.
Speaker 3 (52:02):
We need to find out what can we do to
try to address these problems before they hear us and
kill us. All that's just my thinking on that. So
we'll make that statement. Just be encouraged and if you
can't suggest that, somebody else go. But let's not stop meeting.
That's everybody's opened up a community meeting.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
Man.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Let's try to make it to those meetings and take
others and take our children. Because we had a meeting
recently where we didn't have as many people show up,
but we were talking about fittanol and there's some drugs
out there now that's so powerful and so many people
are dropping dead from it like flies, you won't believe it. Well,
what we learned is that there's another getting the drug
(52:46):
out there that you can almost inhale a fingernail full
of it and it'll kill you. And we're not talking
about that too much. The fendanyl and all the opening
and all this.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Stuff that's killing us.
Speaker 3 (53:01):
Yeah, So I just hope we begin to really look
at those situations to start working toward meeting our solutions.
Speaker 2 (53:08):
But thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (53:10):
All right, thank you so much, mister Norman. I appreciate
you calling in. Okay, all right, have a good one.
W d I A hello, hello mister name, Hey miss Lily,
you doing, I'm good. I was going to talk to
you yesterday, but I was hanging up. I think I
was hearing you say something. But look, what I want
to talk about today was the Eli Mussup situation. You know,
(53:35):
we say that they were saying that no confident for
the school board. I'm going to say that same thing
about the health department and the city leaders. We have
no that should be a vote on that no confident.
Number two, well, you know, when you're dealing with talking
about people's health, we need people there that know things
(53:56):
that we don't know. We want to put leaders in charge.
And number three, businesses take years to invest, like the
Blue Over office. I'm sure that those people just didn't
come there and said we're going to do this that
in a couple of months. And as I was talking
about Jim Strickland, I'm sure this stuff was probably in
the works when he was in office. No, Now, I
(54:17):
did some investigating. I asked, and that was not I
heard that. That was not the case. You heard right,
That's what I'm saying. You heard that, But no, we
don't know because I asked. I'm not gonna reveal my
you know, I'll go off and all of that. But
word is those talks didn't come in. Do you think
that companies invest when they're investing, They're not just going
to come somewhere without investing, searing what's going on, investigating
(54:40):
to do. I think when people have money, like Elon Musk,
did you hear me yesterday when I told you how
much money he has? I've heard so heard so he
you when you got We don't know how much money
those Blue Over people have, but we do know that
that man has got an endless amount of it. And
if he wants to to go somewhere tomorrow and start something,
(55:03):
he can do it. He don't have to it don't
have to be a lot of meetings and all of that.
He got the money money us. Yeah, but I'm still
saying that we had leaders that knew what was going on.
I had an idea. I still believed it was started.
This was in the works before Jim was Strickland left
and as was as the sterilization.
Speaker 5 (55:22):
Place on Flaughter.
Speaker 1 (55:24):
I grew up in that neighborhood and I went to
a meeting with the health department at a lot of places,
and there were so many people at the last meetings
that family members had died from cancer. I'm talking about
four or five people in each family. But at all
of those meetings were at. That's why I have no
confidence in the health department either. All of the meetings that.
Speaker 5 (55:43):
We were at, we attended.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
They were telling us that we were safe. Everybody went
home thinking that they were safe and felt good. A
few months later we hear about that that place was
being closed down because of the pollution. That's why I
have no confidence in our city leaders. I just believe that,
you know, I really believe that he was in the
work before and like I said, they were planning on
(56:06):
going another place and then they come to Memphis. No,
that doesn't sound right either. Why doesn't sound right? Because
he did go other places and they told him turn
him down and then right, so why does it that right?
Because they felt like they could get up get get
a good deal here in Memphis. That's probably why they
came here. Okay, I'm saying he did go all the places,
(56:29):
so then he came. Yeah, they didn't want him. They
didn't want him, right. That's why I said, we need
some strong leaders that know more that we do the
average person. And I'll always remember reading in the commercial
pill when the lady was trying to say still the Graceland,
the first thing she said was the people in Memphis
were stupid and some. I guess she was referring to
(56:50):
leaders because she thought she was gonna, you know, get graceland. Remember.
So that's why I say, no, something else is wrong.
I don't believe that our leaders didn't know all of
this was going on. I got you, miss Lily. Yeah,
thank you so much for calling in. Okay, okay, sometimes
you were trying to ask me yesterday about cooking or something.
I have no idea. Okay, all right, right, Lily, have
(57:12):
a good week.
Speaker 5 (57:12):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 1 (57:14):
No, I think I asked you if you were picking. Yeah,
she hung up again. I think I asked if she was.
Speaker 4 (57:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (57:19):
W d I A hello, Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (57:24):
Coming? Man?
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Everything good?
Speaker 6 (57:27):
Good?
Speaker 3 (57:27):
Good?
Speaker 5 (57:28):
What's up Lady P? With your wild's health? But lady
Lady P's all right?
Speaker 7 (57:33):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (57:34):
I think I think the main concern is they help
the people concerned about their health over there. Absolutely company. Yeah,
So if the health department or who else could come
out and be transparent and let them know. And I
don't even know if they they'll trust what they say.
But maybe a little more transparency will calm people a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
Maybe.
Speaker 1 (57:54):
But but should the transparency come from them or from
x A.
Speaker 5 (57:58):
I I would trust the health Apartment over x Ai
because x Ai is going to say whatever they want
to say in order to keep their business going.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
Well, that's what the health department just told the mayor
that something seeds to be done.
Speaker 5 (58:15):
Okay, So that that means it's a problem then, you know,
so so some you know something needs to be done.
So no, I'm gonna trust the heath the Apartment over
x AIX. I don't give darned about me, you know.
And I hope the health department would you know, it's
for a host of people, you know, So if then
something is wrong then But about the lady, about the
(58:35):
lady that went to the ceremony, the reunion, I don't
find anything wrong that she did. She had a you know,
a friendly conversation I guess with with someone she was
from the past.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
I understand that.
Speaker 5 (58:49):
And he walked into the car, you know, So I
wouldn't just be being out of shape about that. She
bagged away from the kids.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
So I wholeheartedly respect her for that you know, so
since she going to her husband, absolutely not, because she
stayed true to her husband.
Speaker 2 (59:06):
She stayed faithful. If you will, you know.
Speaker 5 (59:09):
And so if you go and tell your husband, then
that may open up a can of worms and make
him begin to wonder did anything else go on? Can
I trust you when you're when you're out by yourself. No,
don't go see her word because she knows that she
kept the truth. So she don't have to, you know,
worry about nothing. And if it did come up from
somebody else saying, oh, man, I saw your wife blah
(59:31):
blah blah, that's when she says, baby, I didn't say
anything to you because it wasn't nothing to it. It
wasn't anything to it. I wouldn't respect our marriage like that.
You can trust me, yeah, I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (59:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (59:43):
So she don't have anything to feel guilty about. She
don't have to feel like she, you know, violated her
marriage or nothing.
Speaker 1 (59:51):
You know what, I agree completely comming man with that.
I don't think she has to feel anything.
Speaker 5 (59:56):
Yeah, she shouldn't feel no way. She absolutely done the
right thing by pulling away, and it wasn't nothing wrong
with a friend of conversation understand that they may have
liked child in the past, but sometimes that's just positive,
you know. So I think I think she could. If
that was my lady or my wife, I would have
problem with what happened. If somebody came and told me
and she did it with baby, it wasn't none to us.
(01:00:18):
You got to have the trust.
Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
You got to thirty years. Let me come out. She's
been with her husband. That's a long time. Yeah, thank you,
coming man.
Speaker 5 (01:00:26):
So now she shouldn't say anything, all right, appreciate.
Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
You, all right, no problems.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
I love the lady the show. Say hello to everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
Buck, Oh, thank you coming man?
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
All right? Uh yeah, Well, y'all want to help her out.
Got a few more minutes. You can call in. Let
me know if you want to help this lady out, okay,

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
You hear me.
Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
We always do. That's how we do it, telling y'all fridays.
You know, sometimes we get into it. Honey.
Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
I love.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
Hellobe yeah, m because you gotta have it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
To live.
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
You cannot live without love. This woman is living with
love with her husband of thirty years. She don't want
no cure what no she wants her, man, that's we're
talking about today. They went to a reunion school reunion. Honey,
y'all have been telling me about these reunions around here.
(01:02:27):
And your husband wasn't with her this this particular event.
He was there though, And man, she was dating back.
I hate to even say that she was in love
with her. She you know, dated him back before her husband,
you know what I'm saying. And ah, he walks into
the car. He tries to go in for a kids.
Imagine he's leaning in and she leans out. She says, uh,
(01:02:53):
uh uh uh should she tell her husband? Should she?
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
Never?
Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
She love her husband. She don't want him to go
buck wild on old boy. Anyway. Let me go back
to the phones. I'll see what you guys are talking
about today. G I a helloo, stowing me right young?
What's up?
Speaker 9 (01:03:23):

Speaker 5 (01:03:24):

Speaker 1 (01:03:25):

Speaker 2 (01:03:30):

Speaker 6 (01:03:30):
Okay, you got a little that truck of lingo eighth town?
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):

Speaker 5 (01:03:37):

Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
Oh, that's a truck of lingo. No I haven't, well, no,

Speaker 3 (01:03:47):

Speaker 5 (01:03:48):

dog ball and knocking.
Speaker 1 (01:04:00):

the ran my bend number. They couldn't find me in
the computer. And then it called a state trooper on me,
I said to my hour and forty five minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
And guess what God is.
Speaker 11 (01:06:57):
Good all the time when the state true, when it's
state trooper role up.
Speaker 2 (01:07:01):
Guess what? He was a ex.
Speaker 1 (01:07:03):
Military guy, right, m m man?
Speaker 6 (01:07:06):
He told Roscoe and uh.
Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
Burning five to get long.
Speaker 11 (01:07:10):
We've been in the vehicle and talk about military stuff
and where we're.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
A stake day.
Speaker 5 (01:07:14):
You're good, go ahead, made some friends.
Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
I'm happy for you, mister Ryan. Now listen, I'm gonna
have to run. Now. You sounded like lady p Now

Speaker 6 (01:07:24):

Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
Take care all right, Ryan, Thank you have a good
one yourself. Oh bless it's hard. Bless his heart. W
D I A hello? Hello? Yes you are? Who is this? Malcolm?
Malcolm California, California? Are you a first time caller?
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:07:51):
What come on in here with these applause? Yes, talk
to me, man, don't come talk to me.
Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
I agree with brother coming Man about she shouldn't tell
him because that was just a kiss.
Speaker 5 (01:08:10):
It was just a kiss, right, it didn't happen.
Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
She backed up, Okay, I would I wouldn't you know?
Speaker 5 (01:08:18):
She should keep it to herself because you don't know
how he's gonna react.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
That's interesting. So many men have called in and said
to keep it to herself. That's interesting, Yeah, because nothing
really happened.
Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
Backed the way. He tried your kids, and he backed
the way.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
If that were you and you found out about it,
how would you feel. Uh, I'll be mad at who,
But at who I'm mad I'd be mad at him.
Oh okay, I'll be mad at him.
Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
And it takes a strong woman to, you know, bag
away like that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
And she's a strong woman. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
I agree, he's a strong minded woman.
Speaker 5 (01:09:01):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 6 (01:09:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
All right, Malcolm. That's all you got, That's all I got.
All right, thank you so much for calling in. I
appreciate you calling in. First time calling.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:09:15):
You're welcome. You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
Croud loves him, He love him? W d I a hello? Hello?
Call you there?
Speaker 10 (01:09:26):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (01:09:27):
Hey, hey, I think she should.
Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
Tell Wait a minute, are you a first time caller?
Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:09:35):
No, I'm not the first time. Oh okay, Well I
think she should. She should definitely tell her husband. The
reason why I say she should because, uh, when things
happen with men, uh, the wife or the woman expect
the man to tell them everything, especially I have something
to do with another woman.
Speaker 11 (01:09:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
Uh, that's just how relationships and marriages are, especially if
you've been with that person that long. They need to
know stuff like that because you open the door for
other stuff to happen, and then if something else happens,
it could be worse. And then you have those conscious thoughts.
They go through your head when you get when you
(01:10:13):
get the argument with your significant other or your spouse,
that will pop up and give you an idea. Since
she didn't say nothing, then you can get away with
doing something and not saying nothing about that. Situations like that,
you are definitely supposed to say something if a woman.
That's just like if a woman comes on to your
man and you know, twerks on him and all that,
(01:10:37):
and he's married and the wife doesn't know about it. Yeah,
but in the times we living in, women do not
care about relationships and others or husbands in relationships because.
Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
They want what they want and.
Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
If they feel like they can get what they want,
they're gonna try and get it.
Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
So you can.
Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
You can't play in situations like that.
Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
If a woman came up to me and then another thing, Uh,
she is kind of guilty anyway, because in a situation
like that, you don't you don't even allow person to
walk you to the car.
Speaker 5 (01:11:16):
That is not your husband.
Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
And I think the reason why she didn't let him
kiss her is because she was probably a praise someone
was gonna see them.
Speaker 1 (01:11:26):
I don't know if I agree with that one.
Speaker 3 (01:11:29):
Yeah, because you got to think about it when you're
giving a person that that much leeway walking you to
your car that you don't have to ante But you.
Speaker 1 (01:11:39):
Just said, according to what you just said, women do
it all done and and y'all don't have to give
him no leeway. So why is it that the woman
would give him a leeway? You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
The woman would give him a leeway because she still
had to liking it. She liked him back in the past,
and that came back in and her thought.
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
And so she didn't say it came in her thought.
She didn't say it came in her she said she.
Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
She showed it by allowing him to walk her to
the car. That, yeah, anytime, if I think it's stormy,
if you let me walk into the car, and guess
what I'm gonna think, I.
Speaker 2 (01:12:18):
Got a shot at you.
Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
U That's just how it is, because that's.
Speaker 6 (01:12:22):
What that's that is closest I'm gonna get.
Speaker 3 (01:12:26):
Besides, you let me come in and get something else.
What So when you give that person that opportunity to
be that close to you, you're basically letting them know, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:12:37):
You can still have that opportunity with me.
Speaker 3 (01:12:39):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
See I don't agree with that. Yep, I don't agree
with that, but but but hey, now I see how
some people.
Speaker 3 (01:12:48):
See what is like that, especially when you married or
you even engaged. Yeah, I'm not gonna say boyfriend and girlfriend,
but married or engaged.
Speaker 5 (01:12:57):
Uh, you definitely should say something.
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
Because that keeps the bond strong and the marriage and
the relationship stronger.
Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
Okay, I got it. Thank you, Thank you, You're welcome.
Thank you for your perspective. I appreciate that. Okay, Yeah,
I don't. I don't necessarily agree with him, but I do.
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
I can.
Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
I can see what he's saying, and I can understand
as a woman how some men might be thinking that
might want to walk you too the car. You know
what I'm saying, y'all get what I'm saying. You're picking
up what I'm putting down.
Speaker 5 (01:13:28):
W D I a Hello, hello day, Hey miss Arlie.
Speaker 6 (01:13:34):
Yeah, oh okay, very good.
Speaker 8 (01:13:37):
I just want to make sure that is me on
the line. Yeah yeah, because look this is Angelo. And
look I've been listening to your show a little bit
and listened to uh uh Minister Bell earlier today about
you know, what was going on with uh stay representative
justin Peers. I want I just have a little bit
(01:14:00):
about this to say about that situation. Why they're not
more representative, you know, coming out backing him up about
what he's saying. I want to see more of that.
I want to see more of you know, because we're predominant,
you know, black folks who run the city basically, so
I want to see more of people behind them saying
(01:14:22):
he's right, he's right, we got him, we got it.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
But I'm not hearing that.
Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
Well, well, let me say two things could be Two
things could be possible. One thing is some of them
are talking and you are just not seeing it. Let
me just that that could be one. And the other
thing is maybe the reason why they're not backing him
is no, that's not their district, or maybe some of
the things they may feel like some of the things
that he's sharing is incorrect. I mean, I don't know,
(01:14:48):
but I do know that he is not the only
person or politician saying something about x Ai.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
I do know that.
Speaker 5 (01:14:55):
Okay, very good, very good. Well, you know, he gave
me some.
Speaker 8 (01:14:58):
Clarity because I was traveling, you know, and I was
just listening to a little bit of it. I said,
I'm not where's everybody else? Why are they not there
with him?
Speaker 6 (01:15:04):
You know?
Speaker 8 (01:15:05):
And uh, you know this share some information coming out
and saying, look, he's got the information in that district,
and I've driven through that district, and I do know
the fact that our TVA has that water treatment facilitia
over there, been there for years, and I know what
he's gone before and for the other place that that
(01:15:25):
will shut down, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
Uh uh So I'm proud of that. I'm very much proud,
and I'm proud of him. No one, let me say that.
Let me say that, I'm not being negative about anything.
Speaker 8 (01:15:35):
But I just want more of us to be out
to support, you know, him, because I'm not in the district,
and I'm not in the district now, But doesn't mean
that I can't come and support my brother or my
sister whomever it may be. To let them know that, Look,
we're all in this together, and we want everybody to
know that because we're representing one district in Nashville, that
(01:15:57):
we still can't come together and represent you know.
Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
This, you know that type thing.
Speaker 8 (01:16:02):
And then let me say something that's about that the
lady I heard a little bit about the lady going
to a path reunion, and and and one for a
former boyfriends O doom mistaken uh walked into a car.
Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
Let me just say this right here.
Speaker 8 (01:16:15):
I'm married and married for when it's years and you know,
and and and things happen. But at the same time,
to come of somebody walks into a car doesn't mean
that you know it's gonna be something.
Speaker 5 (01:16:25):
Intimately going on.
Speaker 8 (01:16:27):
I've experienced that in my life.
Speaker 3 (01:16:29):
You know that.
Speaker 8 (01:16:29):
Look, I'm gonna walk you through the car. Nothing's gonna happen.
Nothing's gonna happen because my prayer is always to God,
God protecting me and he protect my wife. No matter
what we go through and who we meet, you know,
watch over.
Speaker 5 (01:16:43):
You know we trust you.
Speaker 8 (01:16:44):
We don't truch the person. We trust you, and every
time we do that, he always has that moment to
where he and the beans said, Look, oh no, we
ain't the one that I got my husband.
Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
I got my wife. You know that type thing. People.
Speaker 5 (01:16:56):
People have to understand that and recognize.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
And respect that.
Speaker 8 (01:17:00):
Qut thinking about the boyfriend girlfriend thing when we were
teenagers were wrong folks.
Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
Now that we're older than that, different days, and we
got and we got to respond to that.
Speaker 8 (01:17:10):
If we know God the way we say we know him,
that we know that God got us protected anyway, not
so much I protected. I respect, you know, trust my
wife that trusts God to protect her, and he trust
God to protect me so that we won't get caught up.
And some met got it and that's what we look
forward to.
Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
So mis Dauman, always good to hear you.
Speaker 8 (01:17:31):
And uh, you know, I just I don't call you off,
but what I do call I want you to know that. Look,
I respect you, respect men to be Uh, Sister Johnson,
and you guys do what you do. Always be a
blessing like you have been and be blessed.
Speaker 1 (01:17:45):
All right, Thank you so much, Angelo, appreciate you so
much for calling, and thank you so much for listening.
Speaker 8 (01:17:50):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:17:51):
Ask the last caller is he the guy who used
to call Bobby in the morning? He sounds like the
guy that had the wife and girlfriend that was good friends. Hmm,
I should ask he's gone now, I should ask? I
didn't interesting? Interesting. Let me get to this classic TV throwback. AJ,
(01:18:16):
