Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wakem It gets my day going and makes me lamb.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
All of it. Mac and Schmitty in the morning on
Star one of five point seven. Good morning, Schmitty, Good morning.
Welcome into Thursday weekend Eve, and it starts. I'm pretty
warm out there. Temperatures hovering ran around fifty degrees in
most areas. However, after some early on sunshine, the wind's
gonna pick up and it's one of those days where
it doesn't really get much, if any warmer, and actually

(00:31):
with those winds will probably feel cooler as they goes on.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
And it was windy on my way in. I mean,
if you're north of Grand Rapids, my car is getting
tossed all over one thirty one, So be prepared.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
All right. But Schmitty, did you do anything with that
rain yesterday or did you find a way to nap?
Is there a nap all in there?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
I had quite a few meetings yesterday, So I was
that one that was actually driving all over West Michigan,
taking my umbrella everywhere I went.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
But you how it goes. It got a tense there
for a little bit. Yeah, I was actually driving over
near Grandville, and you're not kidding. It was sideways I
gotta have my guard to running to this door, and
normally I feel like I do the whole tough thing.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
I'm like, it's just water. I could do it, and
I was running. I'm like, this is terrible. Now, this
is my old age. I take an umbrella everywhere, y'all.
If I'm washing my hair, there is no way I
am going to absolutely ruin it with rainwater. Mother Nature's
not taking me down in my late thirties.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
See any age has brought you wisdom. I wish I
could say the same thing.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Well, if you believe sources and friends close to the Bieber's,
Haley is very, very terrified about the well being of
husband Justin Bieber, and according to these sources, she is
really at the end of her line. Things have taken
a drastic downward turn, according to sources talking with The
Daily Mail, and she's actually now fearing for his life.

(01:59):
She's been said out frantic messages of help to friends,
to family, to anyone she thinks can convince Justin to
get some help he desperately needs. Before things take a
much more dire turn. They say that his health is
declining fast, that what fans are noticing on social media
is exactly that he's lost a considerable amount of weight.

(02:20):
He often appears gaunt, dazed, and hollow eyed. Apparently, not
only is Hailey concerned about his appearance, but his behavior
is becoming a problem. He's not really eating or sleeping
very well. His actions have become erratic and uncontrollable. These
sources say he is in an absolute spiral. He is manic,
he's not sleeping, hardly eating, and sending frantic texts in

(02:41):
the middle of the night. One insider says, Justin often
doesn't make a lot of sense, but he's convinced he does.
He doesn't realize how much help he needs, and everyone
around him is really really worried. So again, these are unnamed,
anonymous sources. I certainly hope this is not the case,
but fans have been very concerned for weeks now about
what he's been posting on social media.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
And it seems like that's the view. Wasn't it the
last time though he had a weird incident online, didn't
Hailey come out and say, oh, everybody's blowing this out
of proportion and we're all good.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
What you're going to do is his wife protecting him?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Right?

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, all right, this is really sad. Update too from
former Beverly Hill's Real housewife Teddy Mellencamp, who just got
hit with a brutal setback in her health battle. She's
been very open talking about a stage for cancer diagnosis
and what lies ahead. The daughter of singer John Mellencamp
posting to her Instagram stories about a big interview she

(03:39):
just did with US Weekly where she did feel really
cautious that she had beaten cancer, only you'd be given
a very very rough update at her appointment.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
I kind of thought that I had already beaten it,
and then a couple of days later, I found out
I had four more tumors.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
So there's so many different highs and lows.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
And she said, that's going to be the big part
of this journey, showing people how tough a fight with
cancer can be. She says she's staying positive and is
even in a good place with her estranged husband, as
lots of family members have been running to support her.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
That's a roller coaster nobody wants to be on.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
All right, let's finally talk about a very interesting fashion
statement that actress Maggie Gillenhall made at CinemaCon in Vegas
last night. Did you notice her braided hair necktie? If
you haven't seen the pictures that are all over the internet,
the Dark Night Stars showed up at the coliseum at
Caesar's Palace wearing hair braided in a necktie. Apparently this

(04:43):
is from a fashion designer named Sia Parelli. It's a
brunette version of the get this twenty three hundred dollars accessory.
And they're saying this is not actual human hair. It's
made from brass and nylon. But yeah, it's literally wrapped

(05:03):
around her collar and French braided down like a tie.
And as I understand it, we'll be seeing a lot
of it.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
This year, Okay, I get only hope.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
So honestly, very uncomfy looking.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I was surprised that it wasn't real hair, only because
I felt like high fashion in Hollywood would be weird
enough to actually do that. Schmitty. I was gagging in
my mouth thinking about that.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
All right, I'll put the picture up with your scoop
at West Michigan Stardock.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Sometimes because I get a good feeling.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Ye well, here to lift you up on this thurtesday morning.
Feeling good on startin on five points, yeavi. But it's
Mack and Schmidty. And if you listen to the show,
you know that my iner child and really inner adult too,
just wants to be Indiana Jones. I just want to
be an adventure seeking treasure hunter. And this three year
old girl from Israel, she might not have the whip
and the hat yet, but she's got the treasure. Her

(05:53):
name is Ziv Nitzen and she just discovered a three thousand,
eight hundred year old treasure. You're well out with her
family in the Tel Azeca archaeological site in southern Israel.
She's just, you know, playing in the dirt, playing in
the sand, just like our kids do all the time.
Instead of you know, coming up with delicious rocks or
perhaps trash, she comes up with this incredible ambulate, a

(06:18):
scaab ambulet. Have you ever seen The Mummy with Brendan Fraser, Yeah,
you remember the scaabs, the little beetle things that like.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Eat Ever the most horrifying part of the entire movie exactly.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
And whether you're talking about that or the twenty seventeen
remake with Tom Cruise or whatever. Those amulets are featured everywhere. Well,
she found a perfectly restored one that's almost four thousand
years old from both the Canonite and Egyptian civilizations in
the Bronze era. And not only has it been confirmed
to be authentic and have cultural significance, but it's so

(06:48):
nice they're actually putting it in a museum. Yeah, it's
gonna be featured in a special passover exhibit by the
Israeli Antiquities Authority. But no idea whether or not she
ever gets to keep something like that, whether there's a fine.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Big words there. I'm just gonna say, get yourself to
Antique's road show girlfriend. All right, we got to talk
about this incredible guy, Jesse English, understands the struggle of homelessness,
especially in West Michigan, and has planned something a little
different to help other families, Like he was opening a
skate park. So we got to take it back a

(07:21):
few years when English was on the road, living with
his wife and young daughter out of a car. He
heard about a nonprofit called Family Promise here in West Michigan,
and they look at homelessness as a major issue, not
because families aren't working or able to work, but there
just isn't enough affordable housing that's appropriate for raising kids.

(07:42):
English knows this. He heard about Family Promise, worked alongside
them and eventually got his family into an apartment. They
started completely over claud their way back to where they
are now, and they're so thankful for that. And Jesse
knows how big of a help it was. So what
is he good at skateboarding? And he figured, you know
what I can do to get back open my own

(08:03):
skate shop and employ others to get them out of homelessness.
He has done just that. Focus skate shop is a
goal of his, and then he wants to actually start
his own nonprofit that will eventually lead to a skate
park as a way to keep families together. He tells
Fox seventeen there is a big lesson here, but.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
There's always hope as long as you have somebody uh
in your corner, somebody to give you a little stepping stone,
a little stuff open, a boost in the right direction,
even just a tiny little safety net.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
For a month.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah, homeless to homeowner and start in a skate park
to help others.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
We kind of dig that Feeling Good coming at you
a couple of times to day. I always want to
lift you up and share something great with you. We'll
do it again coming up at nineteen twenty. This morning
here on Starck Feeling Good brought to you by Overhead
Door Company of Grand Rapids, reminding you to open your
day positively. On Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
It's the celebrities scoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Oh Man, a new day and a new video surfacing
online that has fans going after actress Blake Lively yet
again getting a ton of hate from fans who think
she's been a real hypocrite because resurfaced behind the scenes
commentary reveals she actually improvised a scene where she grabbed
her co star's nether regions. This is in the movie

(09:25):
a simple favor, so obviously the sequel just came out
a couple of weeks ago. This is the first one.
In this scene, actor Henry Golding, who plays Blake's husband,
has a particularly intimate moment, and while that looks scripted
when you watch the movie, Lively revealed on the Blu
Ray commentary she actually improvised the entire thing, explaining she

(09:47):
felt it was something the character would do, but said
that the co star had no idea that was going
to happen.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
So am I blaming my husband? One of my favorite
editions that you came up with nuts you really went
for it.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
That's always awkward and you're like, hey, highness me, you
can I grab your Yeah. Naturally, a lot of fans
online are going, whoa, whoa, whoa. Remember you're suing Justin
Baldoni for a lot of the same stuff, and now
you're admitting that you've gotten very gravvy with co stars. Naturally,
she hasn't spoken about this.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Do you I just wonder, Schmide, do you at this
point think that Blake and Ryan would have been bringing
these lawsuits and they felt like how the reaction would
be at this point.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
I don't know. I don't know who they're getting advice from, honestly,
because boy, it just gets murkier and murkier. Actor Val
Kilmer's heartbreaking passing shocking so many people, but especially the
organizers of the Beverly Hills Film Festival who are actually
expecting him to attend the moment they got the news

(10:51):
of his passing. Nino Simone is the founder and president
of the festival, and expressed her absolute shock in an
interview yesterday, saying it was only over the weekend. Over
the weekend they confirmed with Val his attendance for the
premiere of American BA a Michael Madsen retrospective. He was
supposed to be there Tuesday night. They said they were

(11:13):
thrilled he was going to come out and support his
longtime friend. And then when it was time for VAL's
seven thirty pm red carpet arrival, organizers were frantically trying
to call his agent, his manager, figuring out where he was.
That's when the news broke he had died.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Isn't that shocking. We're also getting some more details about
the end of VAL's life, which does seem rather sad,
his family saying he was actually bedridden for the last
few years just because his body was tired. He had
beaten the cancer, but unfortunately you just get to the
point where it's too much.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
You know, I wanted to support a friend, though too
is going to crave that and go out there too.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
It sounds like, finally we have seen a lot of
big premieres at CinemaCon going down in Vegas, probably the
biggest Wicked for Good. This is this sequel to the
smash hit last year. Now, man, I've looked everywhere, everywhere,
and they really did have a no phone policy in
that theater. But I did pull a couple of moments

(12:10):
with Cinema Blend, who sent one of their reporters she
actually saw it and said, we're going to be blown away.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
We get no good deed, and even though it's obviously
not like the full version, you can already tell that
Cynthia is going to eat I am so, so, so
so excited. We also see a shot of Alphaba's hand
on the yellow bricks, which was in some of the
marketing material for the first movie. There's also a shot
of the sky where like Alpa, Ba's been flying through
the clouds and it spells out our wizard lies. We
get a lot of stuff of Glinda in her blue dress.

(12:37):
At this point. We also start to hear the beginning
of four Good.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Oh, which everyone is really really excited about. Both Ariana
Grande and Cynthia Arrivo were in Vegas last night to
introduce this. Of course, Wicked for Good is what chronicles
the second act of the long running Broadway play. We've
still got so much time though it doesn't drop in
theaters until November twenty first, but this gave a ton
of excitement.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Honestly, I still got to watch this streaming version of Wicked.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
I know it's all all right, all of your celeb
scoop at West Michigan Star dot Com.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
YEA, come morning to you. It's Mac and Schmidty and yeah,
brought up web md Schmitty And anytime I use it,
it's a bad thing. It's not a good thing to do.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
It's not real great either when you're talking about, oh
is this just getting old or is this something really serious?
So I had such a humbling experience yesterday. And if
you follow me on Instagram at Schmidt in the Mint,
you saw the video. I had a lot of comments
about it. I had like a delicious dinner. My husband

(13:37):
is such a good cooking. He made homade tacos last night,
which also happened to be my most favorite dish. And
I don't lie to you, guys. I was shoveling them
in pretty good. But I can tend to handle that.
I mean, like an hour after dinner, crippling pain, like
I could not bend over at all without like shooting

(13:57):
pain through my mid section. I was like, what is
going on? Then it was like on my side and
I'm like, is this Do I have an appendicitis? What
is going on? I've never had this before, so of
course live m D you know things. What's happening to me?
And I got some really yeah hemorrhage. They gave me

(14:18):
a hemorrhage, could be pregnant again, that's certainly not true.
Heart attack, yep, yep. They gave me just all the
really really awesome things. At one point they did think
I was having a stroke. That was terrifying.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Out of curiosity whether it was pregnant again or heart attack,
which was.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Heart attack, I'm gonna go on with heart attack. So
I'm sitting Chris, my husband, is like, what is going on?
I said, dude, I'm having a hard time, like I
don't know if I should go to the er. He said, well,
when you stand up, does it get better? I said, yeah,
as long as I'm not like bending over or laying down.
And He's like, oh my lord, you have heartburn? Yes,
And I was like, what you guys? I have never

(14:58):
had heartburn in my entire life. It's the stabbur to
the club, and I still am not totally sure if
it was, but I first went. I went on like
an hour long hot girl walk last night and felt
like a million bucks. And I'm sitting there like that
it is positively impossible that I'm having heartburn. So let
me tell you. I have a big birthday coming up

(15:20):
on Saturday, and the last thing I want to think
about is getting one more year older, because all I'm
reading now is, hey, this is where your life Kareem's
downhill and everything you loved about youth is gone. And
it's not that big of a birthday. I'm not even like,
I'm not turning forty. I'm just that was so awful.

(15:44):
But again, am I gonna take heartburn or getting pregnant.
I'm gonna take heartburn. I didn't even get harpur when
I was pregnant.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I'll be honest with you, So from this point forward
in your life, let me just as somebody who developed
heartburn just like you. I didn't. It wasn't something that
I ever dealt with until, just like you, a lot
switch goes off and all of a sudden it's something
that's a part of my life. And I love spicy things.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
I love, so how part of a life? Like how
often do you get it?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Maybe maybe once a month for me, which is not
that bad because there are some people. Maybe once a month,
maybe once every two months somewhere in there, because there
are people, though, they get it almost anytime they eat
anything with tomatoes in it. Almost anytime they eat something
it's got certain spices.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Definitely not changing my diet. Of all the responsible things
web MD told me to do, I won't be following
a single one of those.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Yeah, is this private secho TC endorsement waiting for you?
Schmidd all over this?

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Oh it was very humbling. That being said, though, the
hot Girl walk was really good for both my physical
and mental health.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
I don't know what the hot girl walk is. Is
that where you like, you're sweating after you eat like
I do, so you take a walk?

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Is that the hot And I guess it could be
something to anyone generally, Like the girls wear kind of
higher shoes, so we're working our glutes a whole. Look,
there's not fit, there's yeah, you can get behind that.
That's all right, it's all right, Well we'll handle that part.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Please, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
It's the Celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Well, the rumors continue to swirl, and actor Glenn Powell
isn't really doing a ton to squash them, So I
have the story back on Monday. Glenn's little sister got
married over the weekend, and fans went wild when they
noticed actress Sidney Sweeney attended the nuptials. There have been
rumor mills for a while that Glenn and Sydney are together,

(17:29):
and then we found out on Tuesday that Sydney and
her fiance have called it quits. Well, yesterday Glenn joined
the third hour of the Today Show, telling Jenna and
Friends not much did.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
That surprise you?

Speaker 5 (17:43):
You know what, I'm getting married.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
I'm the bride.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Yeah no, I mean she she said, are obviously great friends,
and it was. It was a hell of a wedding.
You know, the Poell's know how to do it right,
and so all the all the people that love her
were there.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
It's very interesting because then they didn't really press him
any further on it. People in the Commons section are
pointing out that he calls her sid He literally lights
up talking about her, and they're like, listen, you're not
gonna ask him any more questions about it. Sounds like
somebody's agent said he doesn't want to talk about being
with Sidney Sweeney.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
I mean to have the world wondering whether or not
you are dating Sidney Sweete or Glenn Powell. I from
the other side of things, it's not so bad.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
I mean, I think they're really cute together. But still
very hush on whether this is actually confirmed or, as
Glenn and his sister have continued to say, the two
are just really, really really good friends. This is very interesting.
A new documentary called Slows and Reck chronicles the rise
and fall of a free acting school actor Shia Labuff,

(18:45):
started in la back in twenty eighteen, and apparently this
documentary is racked with violence from Shia, So this is interesting. O'Neill,
This is Leo Lewis O'Neill. He actually reached out to
Shia when he first started this theater school back in
twenty eighteen and said, listen, would it be okay if

(19:06):
I showed up with a video camera and just kind
of took some footage of exactly what you're doing. Shia agreed,
and so Leo did just that, and I guess what
he captured was multiple instances of physical altercations, violence, even
hitting students. There's an especially physical moment with a student

(19:27):
named Zeke. And what's really crazy about this is that
Leo says, I actually sent the trailer for this which
will be released soon, and said, Hey, are you okay
with this project? I have a lot of intense footage
in this documentary, and Shia gave his full blessing for
the movie to go ahead without any editing whatsoever. He

(19:49):
tells Vanity Fair, Shia does, I gave Leo this camera
and encouraged him to share his vision and his personal
experience without edit. I'm aware of the doc and fully
support the release of the film. While my teaching methods
made the unconventional for some, I'm proud of the incredible
accomplishments that these kids achieved. Together. We turned a drama
class into an acting company. I wish only good things

(20:11):
for this movie. A lot of fans pointing out this
is a very interesting look at Shia, considering the lawsuits
that were levied against him for years, specifically for sexual battery, assault,
and emotional distress.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
I read the director talking about the project and he
mentioned he's like, you know, hurt people, hurt people, and
Shia has definitely been somebody who's gone through a lot
of pain and has taken it out in the wrong ways.
He also called him the most vulnerable artist he has
ever known.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
But don't you get nervous if you are still dealing
with so much of that To have a movie come
out that shows all of this and then to deal
with the potential public backlash, maybe that's just me mentally
not being able to handle something like that.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Shia is a weird dude.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
All right. Jeff Bezos is throwing his out in the
ring for TikTok. This is very interesting. So President Trump
has said that they are very very very close to
a deal with who we do not know. Of course,
the big deadline is Saturday for US investors to take
over a majority share of TikTok from the Chinese owned

(21:12):
company Byte Dance. While he's had a few high level
people he's been talking with, its kind of a hail
Mary yesterday when Jeff Bezos came in with an offer. However,
the New York Times is saying the White House is
not taking this seriously whatsoever, and it doesn't sound like
Jeff is anywhere in the running for this. Trump has
said that while their reports are still being rumored and

(21:34):
he has not confirmed anything, there's been so much potential
interest he will one hundred percent have an announcement by Saturday.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
All right, where can people follow you on TikTok Schmitty at.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Schmidt Underscore in the Mint because I had to change
my screen name because I got banned for absolutely no
good reason. All right, your celeb Scoop at West Michigan
Star dot com.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
A five points seven. It's Mack and Schmidty Battle of
the Sexes for you. Thursday. Is gonna have those abs
hurting because you are gonna laugh your butt off when
you go see Nicky Glazier coming to Sore and Ego Casino.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
All right, your battle question one hundred men surveyed name
a brand of jeans everybody knows.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
I mean, if you're a nineties kid. Jenko's right.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
I don't think this is the number one answer, But
if you listened to Scoop yesterday, all I can think
about is Dolly Parton's new jeans line and how she's
calling them Joe Lean's It's just too good to beat?
All right? Six one six, four five eight, one oh
five seven. One hundred men surveyed name a brand of
jeans everyone knows. You got that number one answer, and
you're going to see comedian Nicky Blazer with Star one

(22:36):
oh five point.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Seven, Good morning Star. Who's this? Crystal? Chris Still? Where
are you calling from today?

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Calling from Kalandado?

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Are you wearing jeans right now? Chris?

Speaker 5 (22:45):
I am not?

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Oh good, You're in comfy pants? Rub it in? Why
don't you? All right? Chris Still? One hundred guys, whereas
todame a brand of jeans that everybody knows. What do
you think? Their top answer was.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
I'm gonna go with Wrangler.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
You're going with Wrangler? Oh yes, the tough Man jeans.
Wrangler is the number two most common answer. Though I'm sorry, okay,
thank you, Hi Star. Who's this Michielle? I just got
a great guess from Crystal, who's rocking some very comfortable
pants right now? And not jeans? But when a hunter
guys were asked the name of Brandon jeans most people know,

(23:20):
she said Wrangler, which was the number two most common answer,
but not the top one. So what do you think
it is, Michelle Les, You're going the classic Levi's. You know,
it was sure Levi's that taught me that I don't
actually have to wash my jeans every time I wear them.
I can wait like three four times. The actual gentleman
Levi is the one who said that, so you don't
need to, which I kind of like, and that's why

(23:43):
it's the top answer. Congratulations, thank you. Yeah, you are
scoring tickets to go check out Nikky Glazier over at
Story and Eagle.

Speaker 5 (23:52):
Great.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Heck yeah, it's gonna be a great time, sold out show,
phenomenal comedian. We'll have those tickets one more time for you,
by the way, tomorrow, same time, just after eight fifteen
here on Starletar five points stono fine points seven. Good
morning to you. It's Mack and Schmidty, and I want
to ask a question of my fellow pet owners, specifically
dogs with anxiety owners. Yeay, obviously, the big storms on

(24:14):
Sunday and then again yesterday. My dog Ace is about
to turn five and he's never really ever had problems
with thunderstorms until this week, and it has been like
a light switch and I don't know if something caused
this or whether or not. It just can come on
with age sometimes, but all of a sudden, he is

(24:34):
freaked out all day long, to the point where on
Sunday they were worried. My family was worried that he
was having seizures because he was shaking.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
My dog shakes that hard to and Toby didn't start
till he was eight. Really yeah, no, my other dog
Bulah could not care less, does not bother her. Toby is.
It's really really bad.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I feel like my dog is like seven years because
I think I was about thirty five when anxiety really
started kicking it for me too shitty. But at the
same time, like we didn't have drugs. Like everybody I
talked to was like, yeah, you just got to give
your dog Trasidon meds it. That's it's funny, you say
Trasad and Wendy on Facebook where I asked this question
at West Michigan Star first words out of her mouth.

(25:13):
My brother in law said the same thing. So apparently
that's the miracle work.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
I mean, check with your vet, but we adore our
vets and that is what and they can also make
sure that they are cut up to the right amountain
size given your dog's weight. But that was an absolute
life changer.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Have you ever been stuck without the mets with them?

Speaker 3 (25:31):
Oh, that's honestly, that's like up there with pet food
for us now, because it gets so bad for poor
Toby well.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
And so that's how my family was treated. And we'd
never seen my dog act like this before. And frankly,
I'm not so certain that he's not going to develop
anxiety all the time because he was getting so spoiled,
rotten schmidty. It was nuts. Like I'm not kidding when
I say my wife had because you wouldn't leave a lap.
But my dog, who never likes to be covered with blankets,
all of a sudden can't get enough of it. Loves

(25:57):
to be cuddled underneath them. He's getting foot massages and
belly rubs. And then I watched my daughter for maybe
thirty straight minutes doing the thing where she just slowly
rubs like your thumbs, down your nose and around your temples.
And this dog's mouth is literally hanging out, and the
as soon as she is that big time, but as

(26:17):
soon as you would stop right back to it.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Fireworks have never been a thing.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Fireworks has never been.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
Yeah, well guess what they are going to be get ready,
it's terrible. So we actually, and I know a couple
of you said this on our Facebook as well. He
needs to be in a room blackout curtains, TV on.
We put the TV in the bathroom, fan on, blackout
curtains and someone has to be in there with Toby. Gosh,
it sounds like that's what we don't. We don't go

(26:41):
anywhere on the Fourth of July unless we have someone
physically in the house dog setting them because it is
so poor. Thing is just so bad with storms and fireworks.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
I'm just wondering if I was complaining about my anxiety,
whether my family would take as good a care mee.
I don't think that they would. I don't think they
would care, Like, go take a nap or something. Dad,
we'd brother pet the dogs some down.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
Does that get a good feeling?

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Well, let's perk you up a little bit of feeling
good on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
What's this is a video that is everywhere this morning
for good reason. It is such an incredible moment for
former NFL star and now ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky. He
works for NFL Live and yesterday, in honor of World
Autism Awareness Day, they decked out the NFL Live studio
with pictures drawn by his thirteen year old son Madden,

(27:36):
who happens to have autism. Dan is such an exceptionally
proud dad. You could see the pictures all over this set,
and then Madden actually joined them on the air. That
is when this incredible moment went down.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
Listen on mad Man, you only hold up one, give
me a character from one of your favorite movies.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Well, who is Annie's first toy?

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Woody? You got a friend in me?

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Oh god, a friend me?

Speaker 5 (28:09):
Oh at it?

Speaker 4 (28:13):
You can draw ba head.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
And you're miles and miles from your nice born bed.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
So Danna's sobbing at this mile.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Up below way I do, and you boy.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
We're gonna have to go to break and I feel
so badly about that, but we'll be back with more
for this. Isn't that incredible? That was Dan in the background,
like tears streaming down his face. He is so incredibly
proud of his son. The video is really really moving,
you guys. It is, of course Autism Awareness Month. This
was so well done. I do have it up on

(28:49):
our Instagram if you follow us at West Michigan Star
that was.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
So cool and like, as a dad, you know, you're
thinking his son's name is mad and he's like, hey,
mad Man. Like it just just the little things like that,
big things, big things.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
If you know a family that has a little one
with autism, that's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
I love that, all right. This is just ridiculous. A
rescue situation that just went down this past week in Urbandale,
Iowa is garnering praise from across the world because an
officer and a firefighter gave CPR and mouth to mouth
resuscitation to guinea Pigshitty. The large domesticated rodents got rescued

(29:25):
from a house fire over the weekend. They found the
pets unresponsive in the burning home. Officer Chase Breezer then
immediately went into action, another fighter fighter joining him on
the other guinea pigs. Chase said was doing CPR with
his fingers and then gave mouth to mouth to again
a guinea pig. Amazingly, both of them poor revived, both

(29:49):
of them had their lives saved by CPR. Of course,
they're getting all sorts of things. The Urbandale Police Department
shared the story across Facebook and it's been blowing up
on social media. But thinking the firefighters and everybody.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Involved they special guinea pigs.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
No just guinea pigs. These guys just said, you know what,
You're not dying on me today.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
I guess you hear it all and feeling good.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
We do it for you every morning, six forty five
and nine twenty here on Star Mack and Schmidty in
the morning weekday, starting at six am on Star one
oh five point seven
